Andrew Bostom asks: What in the world happened to Daniel Pipes?

Daniel Pipes is widely regarded as an invaluable asset when it comes to the need to understand Islam; he’s been at it for years. In fact, if any non-Muslim were to understand the religion that is also a political movement, Pipes should.

However, as Andrew Bostom points out in his latest article, it appears that Pipes may have moderated his views a bit, as evidenced by a Pipes piece in which he goes after Geert Wilders, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Wafa Sultan for… identifying Islam – and not “Islamism” as the source of modern problems.
