If we look for the America of Losers there is no place better to find them than the American university campuses where the Hamas flag is welcomed over the Israeli flag. Media personality Ami Horowitz visited UC Berkeley to measure student sentiment toward Israel and the Islamic State. What he discovered might surprise you.
This is why my favorite clip from Michael Savage is this one:
Many would see all this and ask: is America all over? Has America been infected with liberalism and socialism to a point of no return?
Well, its the Sabbath rest and tomorrow we all go to church, and my message for you is: No, there is hope for America.
The entire globe even went through the worldwide Great Depression, starting in 1929 and more woes prompted widespread unrest in the European political world, leading to the strengthening of fascism and communism. Their rise in 1939 culminated in the Second World War in which the Allies, which we held hands with even communist Russia and won World War II, defeating Nazi Germany.
Yet the U.S. hasn’t faced what Russia has. It wasn’t until 1991 which marked the collapse of the former Soviet Union. During the Soviet period many Christian clergy were sent to prison, churches were closed, and professing Christians faced significant persecution unlike anything the U.S. has ever seen. But even when it came to Russia, God was in control. The Pew Research Center’s Religion and Public Life Project indicate more of Russia’s population has affiliated with Orthodox Christianity. According to an analysis of information gathered between 1991 and 2008, the number of Russian adults who call themselves Orthodox Christian rose from 31 percent to whopping 72 percent.
Was Russia completely gone, or is it that God was in control? As the cosmos are in order and despite all the asteroids, God is still in charge and He holds the universe in the palm of His hand.
Today the Russian government is becoming more and more allied with the Russian Orthodox Church on many social issues. Yet during the Cold War, many Western leaders made reference to the Soviet Union as a “godless nation” as it was officially an atheist state, yet today its the Russians who are looking at us as “godless”.
How strange things turn around as if darkness hits one side of the earth, the other side still has light and the earth rotates between light and darkness, until His Son returns and Kingdom comes. So if there was hope for Russia, why do we think that there is no hope for America? Show me anywhere were evil triumphed indefinitely?
So why do we worry so much about America? I praise God when it is dark just as much as I praise God when it is light. He somehow rotates the earth and the sun rises every day, but we must wait until the night is over and keep our lamps always lit just incase the Bridegroom shows up.
Until the losers figure out a way to stop the sun from shining I will not worry, bust since I know that they can’t, well, I will still not worry. Christ hated worrying. “Give us this day our daily bread …” “consider the lilies of the field …” “Look at the birds in the air …”
At times we think, it can’t get any worse than this, but we forget the most important person in the biblical equation: GOD, and He is in control. Have a blessed Sunday worship.
