They say that Russia is Gog and Magog. If so, why is this Gog and Magog currently drafting a decision of the UN Human Rights Council that calls for the protection of Christians in the Middle East and North Africa. And while Obama wants to stop Islamophobia in the U.S., at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel on December 4-5, the Russian side will be calling for a thorough analysis to combat “Christianophobia” in the Middle East and the broader region while the U.S., Europe, including the UK, had not made their contribution to these efforts regardless of their Christian roots which are now often forgotten for the sake of political correctness ignoring the fate of the 2000-year presence of Christianity in this land where in 2003 in Iraq, the Christian presence has decreased dramatically to 1/10 of its original population from 1.5 million to 150 thousand people and today they are practically gone and Moscow is also deeply concerned as ISIS, forced thousands of Christians to leave their homes intending to throw the whole region of the Middle East and North Africa into the abyss.
So how could Russia be the biblical “Gog” if it is leading to prevent the persecution of Christians in this part of the world making it its foreign policy priority? And where are these prophecy analysts discussing what Russia is doing for persecuted Christians when instead they complain that Russia is stopping the influx of the mega-church style industry coming from the United States? And how is Russia the devil if the devil is fighting the devil, yet they say it will lead an Islamic coalition against Israel partnering with Iran, Turkey and Libya?
So what caused Russia, this red dragon with the crescent sickle and hammer to heal, after being the most evil empire in the world murdering millions from the offspring of the woman who brought forth the man child Jesus? Was it the prediction of the Miracle of Fatima as many claim which prophesied that Russia will convert to God and for years I considered was a fake as told by my departed friend Dave Hunt, author of Woman Rides the Beast? Hunt, I had thought at the time, clearly refuted it by reading his few lines accusing it to being “demonic” and that apparitions are only a recent demonic innovation of end times that are void of any evidence. The ticket to refuting anything as Marian apparitions are simple to do. All needs to be done is to say that Marian apparitions’ goal is strictly arranged by satan to sway from Jesus and that the devil can easily appear as an angel of light or that we live in end-times in which signs and wonders will plague the world as evidence that such apparitions only came to be in this century. Phillip Coppens in his Lies of Fatima stated:
“The so-called “Marian Era”, i.e. the period when the Virgin Mary began to appear and offer messages to those that saw her, began in the early 19th century, with a series of apparitions, of which Lourdes is no doubt the most famous.”
But this is false. Marian apparitions and prophecies were recorded including evidence from time immomorial. In Egypt Marian apparitions during the 10th century involved the most difficult crises under the Islamic rule that faced the Coptic Orthodox Church and the miracles even converted the Khalif EL-Muez, the great Fatimite Khalif, who converted as result and his body is in the monastery of Muharak in Egypt. Why would the devil want the conversion of a Khalif and the protection of the Copts? And if all miracles we see are the devil’s what miracles are left that are God’s?
In Russia for example, St. Sergius, amongst Russia’s most important saints, had an apparition of Mary in the late 14th century after building the infamous Trinity Lavra Monastery, the most important monastery in all of Russian history which was promised divine protection by Mary and the church still stands to this day.
And was the devil on the side of Russia when in the year 1380, the Russian Christians fought a bloody Battle of Kulikovo, against the Muslim Tatars and took the victory; and as the fighting went on, it was St. Sergius who was unceasingly praying and interceding for the triumph over the Islamic hoard In the late 14th century, after the battle, Sergius experienced a Marian apparition in which the Virgin Mary declared to him that she will always watch over his monastery. Epiphanius the Wise, in his biography of St. Sergius, recounts the vision:
One day the blessed father was praying, as was his won’t, before the image of the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Having sung the “Magnificat” of the Blessed Virgin, he sat down to rest a while, saying to his disciple, Micah: “Son, be calm and be bold, for a wonderland and fearful event is about to happen.” Instantly a voice was heard: “The Blessed Virgin is coming.” Hearing this the saint hurried from his cell into the corridor. A dazzling radiance shone upon the saint, brighter than the sun, and he beheld the Blessed Virgin, with the two Apostles Peter and John, in effable glory. Unable to bear so resplendent a vision, the saint fell to the ground. The Blessed Virgin, touching the saint with her hand, said: “Be not afraid, mine own elect, I have come to visit thee. Thy prayers for thy disciples for whom thou prayest, and for thy monastery, have been heard. Be not troubled; from henceforth it will flourish, not only during thy lifetime but when thou goest to the Lord, I will be with thy monastery, supplying its needs lavishly, providing for it, protecting it. (Epiphanius the Wise, Life of Our Holy Father Sergius, ch. ix, ed. Serge A. Zenkovsky)
Since Mary told St. Sergius that she will always protect the monastery, that means that Russia, regardless of its turmoils will be preserved for a special destiny and this was way before the vision of Fatima. Russia was always beheld by God’s eye and protected by His mighty and holy arms. Russia was chosen, no doubt, by Providence, for the purpose of warfare, to combat the devil and the whole of his antichrist wiles and doctrines.
St. Louis de Monfort spoke of Mary’s involvement in the end times war with the Antichrist, how she will guide the Church into battle against him:
God has not only set an enmity but enmities, not simply between Mary and the devil, but between the race of the holy Virgin and the race of the devil; that is to say, God has set enmities, antipathies, and secret hatreds between the true children and the servants of Mary, and the children and servants of the devil. They do not love each other mutually. They have no inward correspondence with each other. The children of Belial, the slaves of Satan, the friends of the world (for it is the same thing), have always up to this time persecuted those who belong to our Blessed Lady, and will in future persecute them more than ever; just as of old Cain persecuted his brother Abel, and Esau his brother Jacob, who are the figures of the reprobate and the predestinate. But the humble Mary will always have the victory over that proud spirit, and so great a victory that she will go the length of crushing his head, where his pride dwells.
She will always discover the malice of the serpent. She will always counter work his infernal mines and dissipate his diabolical counsels, and will guarantee even to the end of time her faithful servants from his cruel claw. But the power of Mary over all the devils will especially break out in the latter times, when Satan will lay his snares against her heel; that is to say, her humble slaves and her poor children, whom she will raise up to make war against him. They shall be little and poor in the world’s esteem, and abased before all, like the heel, trodden underfoot and persecuted as the heel is by the other members of the body. But in return for this, they shall be rich in the grace of God, which Mary shall distribute to them abundantly. They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity, superior to all other creatures by their animated zeal, and leaning so strongly on the divine succour, that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil, and cause Jesus Christ to triumph. (St. Louis de Montfort, True Devotion to Mary, part 1, 54)
In the Book of Revelation it speaks of an army of 144,000 virgins who will sing a new song in praise of the Lord, as St. John who predicted this anomisity described by de Montfort in Revelation 11-12 also witnessed,
I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. (Revelation 14:2-3)
St. Bernard of Clairvaux, amongst the greatest of Christian theologians in the Middle Ages, believed that Mary will lead the Virgins in this song, as he wrote in one homily:
The new song which only virgins will have the right to sing in the kingdom of God will certainly be sung by the Queen of Virgins and she will surely be the first to intone it. Furthermore, I think that she will not only sing in unison with the virgin choir, as I have said, but that she will gladden the city of God with an even sweeter and more charming hymn, one whose melodious sound no virgin, however worthy, could either sing or intone, but her who glories in childbirth, divine childbirth. (St. Bernard, Homilies in Praise of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Homily 2, 1, ed. Cistercian Fathers Series, 18-A)
So how do we deal with the volume of apparitions throughout Church history and the many who shed doubt. For example, investigator Joe Nickell reports that Fatima’s apparition, Lucia’s own mother said that she was “Nothing but a fake who is leading half the world astray.” Friar Mario de Oliveira, who knew her well, described her as living in a “delirious world of infantile fantasies” and suffering from “religious hallucinations”.
But heated controversy does not determine falsity. In reality, its the lie that is less controversal. The Book of Mormon is mostly a debated issue between the cult and the Christians. The world sheds little doubt on the spiritual myth and always created controversies over truth. Rejection is also a blessing not a curse. Like Lucia of Fatima, I also have had my share of relatives and a litany of people who denounced me as a “fraudster” without producing a shred of evidence and Jesus too had His share of false accusers. Accusations are the norm to all truth and the more they exist the more we should focus on Christ. Slander was the best blessing I recieved as evidence that I have found mercy in the sight of the Lord and it was time for my refinement, work on refining myself with all the sinful issues that trouble me.
Prophecy author Dave Hunt ridiculed the Fatima apparition which centered on Russia and the story of three shepherd children, ten-year-old Lucia Santos and her two cousins, worked in a field called Cova da Iria near Fátima, Portugal, in 1917, during the first World War. Over a period of six months, the children claimed a long series of apparitions, the most extraordinary of which were six visits from the Virgin Mary herself claiming she communicated that Russia will be converted to Christianity.
To prove that they saw Mary the most extraordinary revelation was that on October 13 of that year, the community would witness a miracle where as many as 70,000 packed the area, and just as the Virgin Mary foretold, so the children said, they witnessed an inexplicable miracle in the sky: From behind the rain clouds, the sun came out, danced, changed colors, spun like a pinwheel, and made a most sensational demonstration. Photographs and articles plastered the newspapers of the world, and unlike the tele evangelist on TBN, it took thirteen years to the day later to have the miracle officially recognized as a miracle by the Roman Catholic Church.
But since Hunt, the leading figure behind popularizing the Vatican as “harlot” clearly failed to examine each and every verse in Scripture regarding “Babylon” caused me to examine both sides. Either Hunt was right, these apparitions were demonic or he was wrong, they were from God. So which is it?
John did see the woman who brought forth the man child Jesus as an apparition coming down from heaven (Revelation 11-12). But this alone does not prove Fatima is from God.
But on the other hand, not everything or all detail needs to be in Scripture, this is not a valid argument.
While Scripture is the blueprint that we match all truth, no where does it dictate that everything must be in Scripture that said clearly:
“The church of the living God is the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Tim 3:15)
The two go hand in hand. Church authority which uses Scripture as blueprint must verify everything since it is the foundation for all truth since it was the Church that wrote, compiled and codified Scripture.
In addition, if everything needs to be in Scripture we then must reject all these visions of Christ in the Muslim world and in Joel’s prophecy it clearly says that: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions” in which, and if we insist on our stubbornness, we will reply to these “visions” and “prophecies” as “demonic” insisting that these “visions” are “not in my Bible”!
That alone would go contrary to the very Scripture that we love.
Was Joel only speaking of the end times when in the New Testament Peter quoted an end-times prophecy when the tongues of fire appeared and Peter stood up and declared that this is a type of fulfillment:
“This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy …” (Acts 2:14-21)
Such types of fulfillments speak of specific visions not mentioned in Scripture, which must occur after the Bible and I ask: what and where are they? Are they only revealed to the televangelist when he goes roundabout yelling that the “Lord revealed in a vision to send money for the harvest”?
Is what I am saying here the words of a thief and these moneymakers on T.V. are the true saints?
My detractors accuse that I am leading Christians into the real Antichrist by painting a false interpretation about Russia and Rome as I have argued for two decades that Russia and Rome will not play as the two main characters of evil alongside with Europe. They say that by this I am setting up the sheep for slaughter concluding that I am an undercover Jesuit agent and a conniving wolf in sheep clothing.
But the wolves in the time of Christ were the type that accused Him of being demonic when He healed the blind and was when Christ gave us the simplest golden rule yardstick on how we know God from Devil: “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself” (Matthew 12:26) that good fruit is what a saint will produce and a wolf won’t. How difficult is this to comprehend?
This rule should be applied with everything we do, see or test from miracles, signs and wonders, works, pastors, priests, theology, churches, future spouse, friendships, hiring an employee … and is why the rule of thumb is whatever theology the liberal supports, look out, and whatever theology the liberal hates look into.
And I ask; who is spreading Christianophobia and who is fighting Islamophobia and homophobia? Why is it that the Crusaders for example are hated by both the liberal and the modern easy-believism style church? The “hypocrite” I learned is easily spotted and is usually the one who says that America should defend herself from a foreign enemy while the Church abroad should not defend itself. In this evil view they say that Christians should be fed to lions in the arena as a fulfillment of what Christ meant to “turn the other cheek”.
“Follow the hatred” and the “slandered” and it is only there you will find Christ. This is what Christ basically said when He said “blessed are you when they say all kinds of slander against you”.
I get condemned for not believing in any of the miracles on TBN or SuperNatural, Sid Roth twice upon my visits attempted to offer and convince me to buy into all this hype but I flatly rejected fame and heresy opting that Christ is a rider of a donkey, not a limousine. Benny Hinn tried to miraculously push my hands to pray over a pallet high of prayer letters on T.V and my hands would simply bounce right back up, there was no way I would fall backwards, speak in jibbirish they called tongues or buy into any of the fakery that I saw.
But I had the chance to spread miracles of a different kind, unlocking the end-times and everything is going according to what God revealed from Scripture as we interpreted. To me miracles must be examined and Russia turning Christian is one of them. Why I reject the miracles of the tele evangelist is simple; I found no documented evidence to prove any of them while the Marian apparitions has created so much controversy.
However, Russia was a totally different animal from anything I saw besides Israel which I witnessed while living in Jericho in 1967 and a doubting Thomas as myself wants documented proof, a true prophecy is the type that reverses blindness into sight, death into life and a stave into a serpent. I thank God for so many Protestant theologians who examined Israel in Scripture centuries and decades prior to its birth out of the holocaust. Israel is so amazing because no one would predict that while the Jews were being holocausted that soon after that inferno that a nation would be born and that Russia having been the world’s most evil empire, would be transformed into a Christian nation is some bizarre miracle.
Mary’s statement at Fatima, as claimed by the three children on July 13, 1917 reportedly was:
“You see hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them God wishes to establish in the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If they do what I will tell you, many souls will be saved, and there will be peace. The war is going to end. But if they do not stop offending God, another and worse war will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light, know that it is a great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its crimes by means of war, of hunger, and of persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this I come to ask the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of reparation on the first Saturdays. If they listen to my requests, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not she will scatter her errors through the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and it will be converted and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.”
The apparition predicted the emergence of Russia as a world power which would “spread its errors (including Communism) throughout the world … raising up wars and persecutions against the Church”; the election of a Pope who would be named Pius XI; the waging of a second World War following a strange light in the night sky.
Beginning my investigation, I was suspicious, I wanted to know what does “the devotion to my Immaculate Heart” means, since God forbid, this perhaps was a setup for a demonic apparition focusing to promote Mary worship?
Shockingly, the meaning of the devotion to my Immaculate Heart is:
“consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart means returning beneath the cross of her Son. It means consecrating this world to the pierced Heart of the the Savior, bringing it back to the very source of its Redemption. Here again is a profession of faith. But now it is faith in the power of Christ’s death on the cross to redeem a sinful world.”
Indeed, if this was Mary worship, why would this ‘demon’ direct the prophecy pointing to Jesus? And wasn’t it Simeon in Scripture who used the metaphor that killing Jesus would be piercing her inner soul (heart):
“Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against and a sword will pierce through your own soul also, that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed” (Luke 2:34-35)
But no, all this must be false since it is possible that the devil can lure three children to have thousands see the sun swirl in the sky.
But then we have Pope Pius XII specifically consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1952 in his Sacro Vergente Anno (Apostolic Letter), July 7, 1952:
“…just as a few years ago We consecrated the entire human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, so today We consecrate and in a most special manner We entrust all the peoples of Russia to this Immaculate Heart…”
But so what? Pope Pius XII specifically consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is no miracle. (1)
But Lucia insisted that consecrating Russia by Pope Pius XII was invalid, the Pope must invite all the bishops from all over the globe and publicly consecrate Russia and only then it will be healed.
Surely, the persisting nun finally got her way when on March 25, 1984 – Pope John Paul II having sent invitations already in December 1983 to the worlds bishops, including Orthodox, to join him on March 25, 1984, he had Bishop Amaral of Fatima bring the Miraculous statue from the Cova da Iria at Fatima to the Vatican for the Collegial Consecration of the world and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He was joined by a moral totality of the worlds bishops in the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart (Jesus). The words of the consecration make clear it is a collegial act with worlds bishops and also renews Pius XIIs acts of 1942 (world) and 1952 (Russia) and the consecration is for all time. Only then did Lucia state that the mandates of the prophecy was fulfilled.
July 1989 – Sister Lucia in that month began to go public in stating that the Consecration is accomplished. Previously she talked only to select persons such as the Papal Nuncio, bishop of Fatima.
November 9, 1989 – the Berlin Wall came down. President Gorbachev of the Soviet Union then meets with the Pope at the Vatican and promised religious freedom.
Now how can anyone deny all this regardless of all the controversy? And it is why the apparition demanded all the bishops be there that the world pay attention so that there would be no doubt.
It’s hard to argue with such overwhelming facts.
Yet many attacks are leveled. Belgian Jesuit, Father Edouard Dhanis and others who attempted to cast doubt upon that the role of Russia was chosen to have in the punishment of the world and that Russia was to be concecrated and healed and that there were two versions of the story.
But World War II did erupt as predicted, heralded by a strange light illuminating the nighttime sky as the prophecy demanded. On January 25, 1938, the night sky was illuminated over much of Europe by an unusually bright display of the aurora borealis, and World War II started soon thereafter. As the prophecy proclaimed:
“When you see a night lit by a strange unknown light, you will know that it is a sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its crimes by means of war, hunger and the persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. To prevent it I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart and the reparatory Communion of the First Saturdays. If My desires are fulfilled, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church; and good will be martyred and the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. But in the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
In her third memoir Lucia wrote:
“Your Excellency is not unaware that, a few years ago, God manifested that sign, which astronomers chose to call an aurora borealis. . . . God made use of this to make me understand that his justice was about to strike the guilty nations.”
