Erdogan Has Just Been Declared The Leader Of The Entire Muslim World, Muslims Are Already Calling Him God

On the right, Hayrettin Karaman , the main Fatwa giver in Turkey who is announcing to prep Erdogan as Caliph of the Muslim World

By Walid Shoebat

Below we will discuss a multitude of biblical references to show how far this one man matches what Scripture refers to as “the man of sin,” but before we do, 2016 will yield much to monitor Turkey’s rise to a Caliphate system which its initiation was sparked when on this Friday, Hayrettin Karaman, Erdogan’s main Fatwa giver issued some very strange declarations.

As he wrote for Yeni Safak, the pro-Erdogan main newspaper under the control of Erdogan in Istanbul. In his article regarding the new presidential system which Erdogan wants to establish, Karaman desperately defended Erdogan and declared what we were saying all along they will do; that Erdogan will soon become the Caliph for all MuslimsThe following is a presentation of the exciting part in an article Hayrettin Karaman wrote:

“During the debate on the presidential system, here is what everyone must do so while taking into account the direction of the world’s national interest and the future of the country and not focus on the party or a particular person. What this [presidential system] looks like is the Islamic caliphate system in terms of its mechanism. In this system the people choose the leader,  the Prince, and then all will pledge the Bay’ah [allegiance] and then the chosen  president appoints the high government bureaucracy and he cannot interfere in the judiciary where the Committee will audit legislation independent of the president. ” Hayrettin Karaman

This one statement yields a multitude of prophetic consequences. Bay’at, as Islam calls it, which is “giving allegiance,” is the hallmark of the Antichrist as John declared: “but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast” (Revelation 13:3).

And here this man who is given allegiance to is called “The Prince”, exactly as predicted in Daniel 9:26.

Erdogan qualifies to be “king of fierce countenance” (Daniel 8:23)

Karaman is the major Islamist fatwa-giver in Turkey, one of Erdogan’s main henchmen and a practitioner of Muruna, the Muslim Brotherhood’s allowance for sanctioning Islamic prohibition in the case of Jihad,  which means that the Mufti can bend Islamic Sharia to produce favorable fatwas, whatever it takes to establish an Islamic Caliphate. Hosea 12:7 tells us of the Antichrist: “He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.” The “Balance of deceit” is exactly how the three decade Islamic doctrine, Muruna, is defined as the “Doctrine of Balance” where a Muslim can balance between good and evil and is sanctioned to do evil for the sake of victory. “He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant; he will destroy many without warning.” (Daniel 8:25)

As Today’s Zaman assess Erdogan’s caliphate of corruption through Muruna and by giving him full allegiance:

This is how Erdogan was able to legitimize the corrupt and illegal practices of the Islamist politicians and businessmen. This includes getting bank credit with interest, a system not sanctioned by Islam but is sanctioned through Muruna, donating huge amounts of money to the charities of politicians in return for favorable public tenders and contracts, and even getting people killed for the benefit of the state. As Ali Bulaç wrote some time ago, Erdoğan started getting these fatwas after becoming mayor of Istanbul in 1994.

According to the general theory of political Islam, the relationship between those who lead and those who are led is based upon a “contract of allegiance.” Those who are led declare, via their representatives, that they will obey their leader, thus surrendering all of their political rights — unconditionally — to said leader. And so the contract draws up the parameters for both sides: The leader will lead justly, while those who are led will be obedient. In the meantime, within the traditions of political Islam, those who use their power in this way are called “caliphs.” And a caliphate is, for leaders who rely upon religious references in the Islamic world, the name of the system that they will inevitably turn towards.

Karaman very recently wrote another column on the caliphate. He argues that it is the best regime. His formulation is not a democratic one. Similar to Iran’s ayatollahs and mullahs, he wants to create a “mullahcracy” where the serious decisions will be given by Erdoğan’s mouthpiece fatwa-givers, not by the people. His Yeni Safak piece is one the greatest enigmas of the Erdoğan era.

The situation in Turkey as some analysts reveal is likened to the Nazi era just prior to the holocaust. Erdogan wants the annihilation, a literal holocaust, of all of his opponents. Daily Zaman, the Turkish news media persecuted by Erdogan exposes:

Nowadays, the AKP’s propaganda machine propagates that Hizmet volunteers are traitors and infidels. According to a poll that the İstanbul Institute conducted, 40 percent of people believe the Hizmet is made up of infidels. Many more see the movement as a puppet of the West. Pro-Justice and Development Party (AKP) figure Hayrettin Karaman issued a terrible fatwa about two years ago that, for the sake of protecting the state civilians and religious groups, should be terminated. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu stated that for the state, even the offspring of Hizmet volunteers should be sacrificed. Many pro-AKP figures in social media keep writing that the lives, properties and wives of the Hizmet volunteers are “halal” (permissible to be confiscated) by the Caliph, i.e. Erdoğan.

We are of course not at that stage, thanks to external and domestic factors. Yet, the AKP regime started imprisoning Hizmet volunteers just because they donated money to Hizmet associations. The AKP has also been confiscating properties of Hizmet businessmen. So far, similar to the Holocaust, very few people in Turkey and abroad have vehemently objected to this and many more have been silently watching, thanks to the anti-Hizmet propaganda that they have been listening to for decades.

Hizmet is the Gülen movement and is a transnational religious and social movement led by Turkish Islamic scholar and preacher Fethullah Gülen. The movement has no official name but it is usually referred to as Hizmet (“the Service”) by its followers and as Cemaat (“the Community/Assembly”) by the broader public in Turkey.

When viewed in light of the natural balances between civil and political Islam, the current tension we see between the Gülen movement and Erdoğan makes much more sense. The war unleased by Erdoğan against the Gülen movement is at the same time a war unleashed by political Islam against civil Islam. By declaring the civil arena the enemy, Erdoğan has radicalized the political arena. And today, in order to wield power and authority that is not constitutionally his, Erdoğan has a need for strong Islamic models such as the caliphate.

The article written by a man with foresight named Ihsan Yilmaz concluded:

I do not want to disrespect the noble memory of the Holocaust victims by likening their terrible fate to what is happening nowadays to the Hizmet Movement volunteers in Turkey. The Holocaust is not, and cannot be, comparable with any human suffering on earth. It is unique. Nevertheless, I argue that human nature has always essentially been the same and evil humans have always acted in similar ways. The motivations, argumentations, tactics and actions of today’s cruel humans are not very much different from the Nazis. It is true that what Hizmet volunteers have suffered so far is not even one millionth of what the innocent Jews suffered. But if the evil people in Turkey can find it necessary to eradicate the movement and if they can find the opportunity, they will not hesitate to follow the footsteps of the Nazis. Let me explain.

First of all, unfortunately, Turkish socio-political culture is not immune from the sickness of trying to destroy the other. Especially when it comes to political dissent, the states on these lands have acted swiftly and brutally. Ottoman history is full of such terrible examples of crushing dissent by brute force, the Alevis being the main sufferers. What the secular-nationalist Young Turks did to the Armenians in 1915 speaks for itself. While hundreds of thousands of Armenian men, women and children lost their lives, their Kurdish and Turkish neighbors were either “buying” their goods and properties for very cheap prices or they were looting them. The many heroic Kurds and Turks (officials and civilians) who helped the Armenians were not treated well by the rulers. The Greeks also had similar problems. During the night of September 6-7, 1955, their goods and properties were looted as a result of a government-motivated pogrom. While some Alevi intellectuals were being burned, most probably by the deep state, at a hotel in Madimak in the early 1990s, thousands of Sunni civilians were watching the fire without feeling anything, to say the least.

When Erdogan’s party had a major setback, many thought it was his end. But by meticulous study of Daniel’s text, we accurately predicted the reverse will happen (and we were accurate to the letter):

For the first time in 13 years, the Turkish AKP, led by President Erdogan and Prime Minister Davutoglu, has lost its majority hold on the parliament which held 312 of the 550 seats in parliament and now only holds 258 seats while the other three (CHP, MHP and HDP) now has 292 seats.

So does this set back mean the end for Erdogan and the AKP Party and are we to now eliminate the man of Turkey as the wrong candidate from being the Antichrist?

In fact, such a loss bolsters the biblical argument since unlike what most imagine, that the Antichrist storms in because through his charisma he gains a popular vote. On the contrary, Antichrist, as we are told by Daniel, does not gain prominence by majority support:

“With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people.” (Daniel 11:23)

The Antichrist, when he emerges, he forms a league and advances with a small number of supporters. Historically, the AKP began from a small number of people, the Refah Welfare Party which participated in the 1991 elections in a triple alliance with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the Reformist Democracy Party (IDP) to gain 16.9% of the vote. It was truly the incumbent PresidentRecep Tayyip Erdoğan, a former member of the party, but later founded Justice and Development Party (AKP) who catapulted the AKP to what it is today which still holds over 40 percent of the seats defeating all the other three. This is truly a victory for the Erdogan who started with “a few number of people”.

And now that Erdogan will uproot the three horns in Turkey’s government, 2016 will have major consequences to world events, especially prophetically, and by 2018, we estimate the prophetic scene will be very clear and by 2023, we foresee that all hell will break loose.

So what are the chances of soon seeing the rise of the Antichrist and what of these criteria does Erdogan match? And what are the probabilities that one man hits the nail on several issues?

The results will shock many to find any other man that fits the labels. In everything Erdogan does, Erdogan parallels Antiochus Epiphanies. He caused deceit to prosper (Daniel 8:25). He is “king of fierce countenance” (Daniel 8:23).

He is starting animosity with Egypt (Daniel 11:42). Erdogan wants to become “chief” and “prince” of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:2, Mushki and Tabalani in Asia Minor/Turkey).  He is changing set laws (Daniel 7:25) to make solid his princely title. “If Tayyip Erdoğan shifts to a presidential system, he will probably assign advisors from the regions under the caliphate and open representative agencies of all Islam Union nations in that 1,005-room [the presidential palace] in Beştepe,” said Dilipak speaking at a conference organized by AKP Toronto Election Coordination Center in Canada.

Dilipak also added that Erdoğan would assign advisers for all Muslim nations in the world. Erdoğan has been known for his longtime aspiration for a presidential (in reality Caliphate) system in the country. The crowds waves to him the “fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow” (Revelation 9:17). It would be a matter of time to get these colors into their new emblem.

After the victory, Erdogan’s supporters waved the fiery red, hyacinth blue and sulphur yellow banners that resemble the Islamist party.

Erdogan matches Habakkuk who speaks of Antichrist as “the Proud Man” who “enlarged his desires as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples” (2:5). Erdogan is definately a “proud man” who desires to “gather unto him all nations” in his neo-Ottoman Caliphate dream to unite the Muslim world. He denies Father and Son (1 John 2:22) and “does not honor the God of his fathers” as Turkey at one point in time was Christian.

He started with a small number of people (Daniel 11:23, see explanation in this article above). He blasphemes against the most high even accepting worship. (2 Thess 2). Erdogan is hailed in Turkey not only as “Sultan” but as a “prophet” “healer” and one who can even change the laws of the universe: “Spring has come to Sanliurfa. Both nature and history are rising up to greet our prime minister,” says Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek on Erdogan’s visit to the southeastern province of Sanliurfa on March 9th. Yet the Finance Minister did not face any sanctions from Erdogan for declaration of divinity and neither did AKP lawmaker Fevai Aslan who on January 16th when he said: “Erdogan is a leader who gathers all of Allah’s qualities in himself”. Neither did the Deputy Health Minister Agah Kafkas was reprimanded when on May 19, 2013 he said: “To do what Erdogan does is sunna”. “Sunna” which the Deputy Health Minister was referring to is the obedience to Muhammad. In other words, to obey Erdogan is to obey the Prophet himself! And neither was AKP lawmaker Huseyin Sahin on July 20, 2011 was reprimanded by Erdogan for saying: “Believe me, even touching our prime minister is worship to me.”

These are major figures and Erdogan is acting as if he is Christ who did not denounce worshiping Him and Erdogan did not denounce worship either. And if one thinks that it’s only the followers who elevate Erdogan to prophet, healer, master of the universe and nature, or deity, think again. One news media from Istanbul, wrote this regarding Edrogan himself, firing anyone who denounces him being God.

Even when we declared “Jalal al-Din Rumi. We concluded this crucial issue since Sufi Islam adheres to a theology called Fana in which man can declare himself to being God” Erdogan afterwards, two weeks ago and just as we predicted, elevated Rumi in order to allow for such theology:

He traveled to the Central Anatolian province in order to attend the Şeb-i Aruz (Night of Union) ceremony to commemorate the 741st anniversary of the death of Jalaladdin Rumi (Mevlana) in the evening.

Erdogan praised Rumi:

“If we have a homeland and a flag today, and if we live in an independent country, all fraternally, this is thanks to believers like Mevlana, Ahmed Yesevi [Rumi], as well as our generals such as Saladin (of Ayyub dynasty) and Alparslan (of Seljuk dynasty),” Erdogan said.

Rumi is crucial for Erdogan’s dream of deity. Then we have countless statements made by Erdogan where he hones in on Jerusalem. And if Christ said that “Jerusalem is the apple of My Eye,” that is Christ’s eye, Erdogan said: “Jerusalem is the apple of every Muslim’s eye”.

He is healing the fatal wound of an empire that ruled and was the greatest menace (a beast is a menace to God’s people) to the Church (Revelation 13). Today billboards can be seen all around Istanbul. The posters read: “Yeniden Dirilis, Yeniden Yukselis,” meaning, “Resurrection Again, Rising Again.” The fatal wound, or demise of the Ottoman Empire happened in 1923 and Erdogan intends for his resurrection of the Ottoman Empire to be done by 2023:

Therefore it is no coincidence to observe that some of the followers of Erdoğan believe he is a caliph who seeks to resurrect the Islamic Caliphate and the Ottoman Empire. It is no coincidence that Erdoğan’s target of “The Great Turkey” is intended to be completed in 2023

Erdogan, the ruler of Turkey, this flag of the red dragon with the two horns of the crescent, issued “a flood” (Revelation 12) into Europe where the heart of Christendom was in scenes that were unprecedented in history where Germany and the E.U came to Erdogan begging to stop this flood. It will be a matter of time when the woman who gave birth to the man child (Christ) stomps the crescent under her feet (Revelation 11-12).

Erdogan as he causes havoc in Syria is getting “bad news from the north” (Russia, Daniel 11:44) and desires to also rule Iraq (ancient Babylon) setting up encampments there. He is getting ready to qualify as “King of Babylon” (Isaiah 14:4, a title given to Antichrist).

Qaradawi, the spiritual head of the Sunni Muslim world, declared Erdogan speaking of a sign of the end of the world when he declared that the “angelic host will soon descend on earth” after this establishment of the coming Caliphate in Turkey. From a Christian perspective this is the casting of the fallen angels which Daniel the prophet spoke about the minions of the Luminous One, Lucifer are finally cast out and the Antichrist of Isaiah 14 to soon be revealed. Qaradawi speaks of confederacy sparked by Turkey of different Muslim states mentioned in several major Scripture passages (Dan 2:31-35, 40-45; 7:7-8, 19-24; Rev 13:1-2; 17:3, 7, 12-16, Ezekiel 30 “the league” and the entire context of Ezekiel 28-31).

As if all this is not enough, Qaradawi even gives an example:

“There are big countries such as China, which has a population of about 1.5 billion, according to the statistics, in a time when the number of Muslims in the world about 1.7 billion, and thus could meet in the form of the Union.”

Erdogan does “not honor the desire of women” (Daniel 11:37), prohibiting them entry in the government and promoting the wearing of the hijab.

The Muslim scholarly powers has already asked the Muslim world to pledge allegiance to Erdoğan. So in order to convey my two-decade persistent message, I brought forth other watchmen from the source itself in Turkey. Today’s Zaman, a favorite of mine and a persecuted voice gives a similar perspective of what I have been trying to say for a while now, but hearing it, from the horses mouth if you will, can bring in credibility to my trumpet sound of this coming flood of nations, and with all these probabilities, from here, from my ark, it will start slowly, then it will thunder as my voice thunders to the hills, to the valleys and to the nations. Is anyone listening?

  • Walid,

This came to my attention by a fellow brother, Deus, who was asking me for my opinion –

This only reinforces what you have been saying, and in the light of this article, this is only reinforcing Erdogan’s Messianic complex.

You say 2016 is shaping up to a crucial year. I say, “Amen,” for I am now anticipating the end of the Sykes-Picot Agreement and a speedy rise of the Antichrist kingdom. I am still conducting research on the historic background of the Sykes-Picot Agreement.

When the S-P goes, then the whole Middle East will change. Which mean Christians who are now in hiding among refugee camps will be chased, exactly as the Ante-Nicene Fathers predicted would happen, from cities to cities until there is no place for them to hide.

Even in Jerusalem where there are now growing cells that are devoted to ISIS, Orthodox Christians are going to harassed, even by Jews who will turn their hearts to Allah. As in the day of Judah Maccabees, there will be a remnant of Jews who will refuse to convert, and they will be the one defending the Orthodox Christians.

    • You are on your way to becoming a watchman on the wall. But beware, it comes with a heavy crucifix that you must also carry and endure. Are you ready to drink from the chalice?

      • I thought I was a watchman.

To answer, yes, I am ready, whatever may comes.

        • susan

Ahhh Trevor. A pregnant woman can’t wait to give birth. But when severe labor pangs seize her…she begins to think…why was I in such a hurry? 😉

          • Sounds like spoken from experience.

          • Doc

Sage words. Those of you eagerly awaiting the Rapture, are you sure you don’t see the horrors that will precede it? Be careful what you wish for.

          • O there you are Doc. Was wondering what happened to you. You must have been gone for Christmas.

          • Doc

I’m in and out, just very busy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

          • Grandmere

So true. Nothing left but to go with the flow, pant and push.

          • susan

            Lol. How true Grandmere!

      • Jennifer

Wow Walid things are really progressing. So it sounds like that erodogan fits the bill of the Biblical antichrist even more so. I was somewhat taken aback when I read the story title. I pray that Jesus endues me with the strength to stand firm. I hope the US wakes up in the near future. especially the wider body of Christ.

        • there is still several years left and we have to wait to be 100% sure.

      • Jennifer

So if I understand correctly, eventually America will wake up… do you have any thoughts or insight of what this will look like in the government landscape?

        • Your guess is just as good as mine.

          • Jennifer

            We will watch and wait.

          • Judging by what I’m seeing, it will wake up in pockets, and burn in larger pockets. May God truly wake this place up.

          • Willing to die for Jesus

            Excellent perception.

I read a review of Brad S Gregory in the Catholic Historical Review, vol 98, iss 3 of this book by Harv UP:
The Unintended Reformation: How a Religious
            Revolution Secularized Society

Gregory pinpoints the Protestant Reformation as the beginning of secularism which continues today in the West, most exemplified by the USA, which splintered the shared Catholic worldview before the horrid anti-Christian Reformation which has decimated any shared common Christian worldviews with its individualistic and nationalistic focus rather than on a shared community.

““In an effort to understand how contemporary American society came to be with its hyperpluralism of religious beliefs, emphasis on individual human rights, and dedication to consumerism…” reviewer, Nelson Minnich.

“Human rights” here is a joke too. Humanist human rights are downright Satanic. Totally removed from Christian conceptions of human rights and the natural law.

I still believe the USA needs to return to seeing Columbus as the real founder of the Americas, a true Apostolic Christian (which is the true historical view), and reject those horrible anti-Catholic anti-Christian Puritan “founding fathers” who banned Christmas.

The Muslims have the “umma” I often wonder what do Christians have outside the clerical structure and Church of the Catholic and Orthodox, who desperately need Recommunion….

I can see so much of the evil spirit at work in so much of Protestantism with its perpetual lies and its active anti-Christ spirit at work spreading lies about the Catholic and Orthodox.

What you will often find, as you no doubt have, debating these anti-Catholic Protestant cults, is that when they are cornered and cannot debate any longer, is that they pull out the tired old “Spanish Inquisition” and “you would kill me if given the chance,” instead of conceding…. without realizing that they are more Muslim than Christian in their “theology” (if you can call it that) and heremeneutics.

So many of these won’t reveal their Protestant orientation or “church”. Many will “out” themselves by slipping out a “Yeshua” which is the biggest giveaway they are part of a Judaizing cult, most likely Hebrew roots!

Anyhow… we continue to pray for a return of these through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. How 40,000 sects and growing is a working of the “Holy Spirit” is something they can never answer nor care to answer.

          • I had to read this a few times because I enjoyed the comment.

      • RodK1975

        Lego Trevor

        • Kind of looks like Trevor.

        • Jennifer

        • Kamau41

          Good one…

        • Seraphim2478

          Lol..!! Lol..!!! That rocks!!

    • Jennifer

I saw this article. While it sounds great and good he dissuaded someone from committing suicide. There is an eeriness attached. In my spirit, I have a major check.

      • Jennifer

This sounds like what we would call a counterfeit/demonic power.

      • The thought was it was staged. My response is it may or may not be staged, and regardless, this is only fueling Erdogan’s Messianic complex. Just as it happened in Germany during the 1930s before World War II, Turkey is undergoing a change in which it is being orchestrated by Erdogan and his band of stooges.

Just as the Furher of Germany had Gobbells, who was a master of using cinema to produce propaganda, Erdogan has used this as a tool to advance himself as the savior of Turkey. History is repeating itself before our eyes, and we cannot and must not slumber while this is going on.

There is a reason why Donald Trump continues to climb in the polls. He has mastered the art of using the media to advance his message. Remember when he said that he would build the wall on the southern border and force Mexico to pay for it? Holy smokes, the flak he received from the media, yet it only further his narrative, especially when there were reports of repeated deportees returning to America and murdering people without impunity. Then Trump struck again when he said how disgusted he was when thousands of Muslims were celebrating 9/11. The media came out with gun blazing until people started digging and found plenty of evidence backing Trump. Again, Trump said he would ban all Muslims from entering America. Predictably, the media jumped all over him, and this time, it brought with them swift condemnation from Democrats and even Republicans!

The result? Trump is drawing in supporters from angry voters who are feeling betrayed daily by the Republicans and Democrats who are serving another master, themselves, and their Arabic overlords from oversea. How did Trump managed to do that? By being calculating and striking when the time was right.

        • Jennifer

Thanks for explaining further… I am quick to watch for spiritual dynamics but not so quick on the strategies your telling me about.

          • Then I strongly advise you to not to read too much into the spiritual dynamics. That is how deception usually occurs.

          • Jennifer

Thanks for looking out for me. Good insight :-).

          • Jennifer

I desire to strongly keep watch for the unfolding of the Biblical prophecies.

          • Keep an eye on the Middle East and here.

The traditional legend has it that Byzas fromMegara (a city-state near Athens) founded Byzantium in 667 BC when he sailed northeast across theAegean Sea. The tradition tells that Byzas, son of King Nisos (Νίσος), planned to found a colony of the Dorian Greek city of Megara. Byzas consulted the oracle of Apollo at Delphi, which instructed Byzas to settle opposite the “Land of the Blind”. Leading a group of Megarian colonists, Byzas found a location where the Golden Horn, a great natural harbour, meets the Bosphorus and flows into theSea of Marmara, opposite Chalcedon (modern day Kadıköy). He adjudged the Chalcedonians blind not to have recognized the advantages the land on the European side of the Bosphorus had over the Asiatic side. In 667 BC he founded Byzantium at their location, thus fulfilling the oracle’s requirement.Cape Moda in Chalcedon was the first location which the Greek settlers from Megara chose to colonize in 685 BC, prior to colonizing Byzantion on the European side of the Bosphorus under the command of King Byzas in 667 BC. Istanbul known as the golden horn, the city that sits on seven hills.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: see also

Istanbul is known as the City on the Seven Hills (Turkish: Yedi tepeli şehir). The city has inherited this denomination from Byzantine Constantinople which – consciously following the model of Rome – was built on seven hills too.

  • Grandmere

Walid, as I was reading your article, a phrase kept pounding in the back of my mind. The Event Horizon. We are rapidly approaching the point of no return. It is such an immense blessing to be able to understand what is taking place. It takes the fear factor down when you can at least understand why things are happening as they are. Thank you for all you are doing. Time is growing short. It’s time for us all to get busy.

    • Delta Rain

I never liked that scary movie. Oh well…buckle up, here we go.

      • Grandmere

I never saw the movie. I was thinking about General Relativity and black holes. lol

    • Its time for us to relax. Its New Years. Pass the peanuts will ya?

      • Jennifer

        Party at the Shoebat’s 😉

      • One of these days, I’ll have to introduce you to rakija. It’s made quite a few New Year’s Eves enjoyable.

        • Lidia

Happy New Year Rudy!!! Rakija is too strong for me. It’s a man’s drink. I prefer a Margarita!

  • Behnam

I don’t know, there have been many rulers making themselves out to be God. I just don’t think erdogan is THE man of sin. Look up the descriptions of their mahdi and how he will come about.

    • I hope you realize you are asking Walid, a former Muslim, to look up the Mahdi. I am sure he is well aware of who and what the Mahdi is.

      • Grandmere

      • Behnam

I wasn’t really talking to him specifically. Just saying erdogan doesn’t fit the bill.

    • Ya Behman, you’r probably right. (its my new policy of agreeing regardless how I see that the comment doesn’t make sense in my mind). In other words, whatever you say.

      • Behnam

You don’t have to pacify me, open discussion is always healthy. I know I could be wrong, just expressing my opinion,

        • Perhaps the older policy of not commenting at all was a better one.

          • But, all smarty pants of the world need to stick together.

          • Behnam

            As you wish.

          • Lidia

Hi Behnam. Evil is on the rise because people in high places are removing God from the world. Who are these people? We see this happening everyday–the war against the Christians. Demon possessions are also on the rise because of this.
There are 3 kinds of evil–Primary Evil (devil), Secondary Evil (man), and Accidental Evil (possessions). Secondary Evil opens the door to Primary Evil. The antichrist in the end will open this door wide open. Will it be Erdogan or someone else? According to Walid, Islam is a Satanic cult, dating back to Ancient Babylon.

Elder Paisios has an interesting view of the antichrist who he claims will be a Satanist who will use black magic and satan-worship as a means to gain the strength he and his followers need to carry out their plans. They want to rule the earth using satanic power. Ives Dupont who wrote about Catholic prophecies from saints and the Bible also believes this too.

The only thing that readers (and Walid) here will not like is that Elder Paisios thinks that the Zionists are the Satanists. He believes that Turkey will be defeated by Russia and will be divided into 3 parts. One part will go to Greece, the other to Armenia and the other to Kurdistan. So what happens next when Turkey is defeated? He also believes that Israel will nuke their Muslim neighbors? So what happens next? According to him, the antichrist comes after all this happens. So who is the antichrist then?

Fear is the food of evil. Isn’t that what ISIS is doing today? Terrorism and fear- cause and effect. The more fear in the world, the more evil will enter the human world. The only thing standing in its way is the conversion of sinners who love God and Christ.

          • Behnam

I agree completely about islam being the religion of the devil itself but what I don’t agree with is that I think the antichrist is not on the global scene right now.

          • Grandmere

Don’t you dare quit on us.

  • Kamau41

Things are happening indeed. These next few years ahead of us is going to get quite interesting.

    • RodK1975

Special for you, Kamau… a little something I found doing some digging…

“Following the conquest of Constantinople in 1453, Sultan Mehmet II,
el-Fatih, the Conqueror, assumed the title “Kayser-i-Rûm” (Caesar
of the Roman Empire). The adoption of the title implied that the Ottoman state considered itself the continuation, by absorption, of the Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire, a view not shared in the West.

When al-Mahdi comes, he will continue, through absorption, the Roman Empire as the Ottomans did, as well as the Rightly Guided Caliphate of the
Ishmaelites, in addition to the ancient Egyptian monarchy.

This is why Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said, “he (al-Mahdi) will come from you, he will come from you” to the Turks. Mawlana was not referring to the Turks
as an ethnic group, rather to the people of Turkey, meaning he will rise from
      Constantinople; Istanbul.

Over thirty-two nations will establish their ancestral relation to the
bloodline of Imam Mahdi al-Muntadhar when he appears, including the Persians and the Pakistani’s through Abraham. This is why the earth will expel its treasures after his arrival, not only because his time will be one of abundance of wealth for mankind, but also to establish the archaeological evidence linking nations by blood to Mahdi al-Muntadhar.”

      • Great insight which means you have foresight, Rod.

      • AnthonyM

So it seems the al Mahdi could be a title conferred on Erdogan in the future, and not another person that arrives on the scene and works with the anti-christ (likely Erdogan)?

        • RodK1975

It’s so hard to tell at this point… that being said, I think you’re right… Erdogan or his successor, if there is one…

      • Kamau41

Excellent!! Thank you Rod. Your insights and the link you’ve shared corroborates very well with the expected future of the revival of the Ottoman Empire/Islamic Caliphate. What incredible times we are living in and for us to be able to witness the things that are happening that Walid has been yelling from the roof tops for over two decades….

        • RodK1975

Yes, Kamau, exactly, it would be so easy to jump ahead and make too many assumptions at this point, there’s so much we still have to wait on and see what happens…

      • Grandmere

        Fantastic, Rod!

  • RodK1975

Wow, wow, wow, wow… Great article, Mr Shoebat…

“Rumi is crucial for Erdogan’s dream of deity…” It becomes more and more obvious every day that Sufism is his key to establishing himself as “God”… When he does the religious world will fall to him like dominoes… Every religion out there, deceived “Christians” included will flock to him as the fulfillment of their “interfaith” hopes and dreams of world peace.

“And here this man who is given allegiance to is called “The Prince”, exactly as predicted in Daniel 9:26.”… It is as they say, “the devil is in the details”… it will not be the BIG and OBVIOUS clues that we will need to know to make the determination of whether or not he is the Antichrist, but the tiny, insignificant seeming details that will separate him from Nimrod, Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus, Caligula, Nero, Mohammad, Hitler and the like…

Look, listen, watch, study and pray, people…

    • Whew….

What a time we are in. I’m betting that the Sufi you have been watching will turn against his Russian handler.

  • DANTEontheLake

One thing to consider when speculating how Donald Trump may fit into this is that if he is elected in 2016, he would take office in 2017 and his second term in office would be over in early 2025..

Turkey has been fomenting trouble in Crimea. Islyamov, the Tatar nationalist organizer has declared that his activists were preparing for a ‘naval blockade’ of Crimea, said that the Turkish defense ministry would assist his group by providing it with clothing and footwear. Doesn’t sound like much now, but it will likely grow, especially if it causes Russia problems.

    • Indeed. Better pray your rosary Anthony.

      • AnthonyM

        Haven’t forgotten, Chief.

  • RodK1975

Right, which will be the signing of Saudi Arabia’s death warrant…

  • RodK1975

One other thing that you wrote that struck me, Mr Shoebat…

“Qaradawi, the spiritual head of the Sunni Muslim world, declared Erdogan
speaking of a sign of the end of the world when he declared that the
“angelic host will soon descend on earth” after this establishment of
    the coming Caliphate in Turkey”

The world is not prepared for the implications this event will have… Personally, I don’t think this is going to be an ‘invisible’ or ‘spiritual’ thing that happens, I think it’s going to be very visible and very scary… I’ll digress, I could go on but I’ll save my further thoughts on this for another time…

  • Joe M

A revealing article. Erdogan is a devil man, arrogant, deceptive, has an Islamic agenda to lead the muslim world and has sent Muslims to Europe so that when he becomes Caliph, he can pull their strings, thus use them as an instrument of blackmail to procure his desires, to gain money and manipulate European leaders to Islamify Europe in obedience to himself! These Muslims will accept that their officially recognised Caliph has to be obeyed and he can command acts of violence and oppression and mayhem against European non-muslim people.

I wonder if the Pope will order Roman Catholics to fight back or turn the other cheek, or even to submit to Islam. Somehow, l can see the Pope visiting Erdogan and kissing his hand and declaring that Muhammad was God’s Prophet and Islam is a great religion. Maybe, if the Pope does that act, it will reveal him as the false Easu, walking behind the Mahdi.

    • Doc

I think the opposition will come from Eastern Orthodox led by the Russians.

      • Lidia

The key point to the pope’s reaction to do something is when there is an attack against the Vatican. This will be the starting point of when a religious Catholic army will form. There could be 2 oppositions, Eastern Orthodox led by the Russians from the east and Roman Catholic led by western countries from the west. Protestants will probably join the Catholics. Why not, they will have no choice if they want to survive.

      • Lidia

        Happy New Year Doc!

    • Lidia

The pope will never do that!!!! They never did that before so why would they ever kiss the hand of Caliph and declare Muhammad as God’s prophet. Thanks to the ones from the past, Europe remained Christian.

      • Joe M

Jesus washed his disciples feet, and said ” serve each other in this way” (meaning Christians), the current Pope interpreted that to mean wash the feet of Muslims. Certainly, if l wash the feet of non-Christians, l would not choose a people who have a book that tells them to take Christians into slavery ( and make them wash your feet and use them for sexual purposes).

I certainly hope that the Pope will not do such a thing as aknowledge Muhammed and Islam as a religion to be respected.

A good New Year to you!

        • Lidia

Happy New Year to you, Joe!

    • Lidia

BTW, I do like your Erdogan version and his take over of Europe plan.

      • Joe M

Without doubt that’s Erdogan’s plan, and Walid and Ted think it will be his strategy too, if not exactly, very near to it.

Walid has said that this guy Erdogan has a palace with hundreds of rooms, and he is going to use it as his war base. This means that he will set up Muslims in each room, appointed for every Islamic Nation, and appointed to over see and assess and evaluate every country which has Muslims in residence, that means European countries, and America, Australia, Canada etc.

Then he just needs to pop into particular rooms to give battle plans and his administration will give out the orders. One example of how this will work, using Britain for the example: Erdogan goes into the British room, and enquires as to the percentage of Muslims within the population, and on being informed 10%, he advises policies to be used to increase the percentage such as immigration, later on, he instructs that more political pressure and perhaps violence can profit Islam within that nation. In other countries with bigger percentages of Muslims, he orders that it is time to offer Islam to the people and slaughter those who will not accept it. As you know this is the fulfilment of Koranic scripture, that Muhammed can be a mercy to the non-Muslims, should they accept Islam their lives will be spared, thus Muhammad becomes a mercy to mankind.

Erdogan can spend his days wandering from room to room, assessing the situation, giving his orders for each country in turn. Different advice for each country where Muslims dwell!

  • In my humble estimation, I think people get a little too excited when they see things in their day that point to the end. Not that we should not take notice of them. But I see, particularly in evangelical and protestant circles, people get excited about the possibility “the end is near.” When I think of the end, or those things the point to it, I think of Amos 5:

“Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him. Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?”

I suppose you find this excitement among the “rapture” crowd. I guess we could have debate on the rapture. But for my understanding and reading, Why did Peter make reference in his letter to “only eight and all were saved through faith” when he referenced Noah? I’m NOT suggesting only 8 people will be saved. But could Peter have been saying that by the time the flood came, only 8 were found worthy, hence a number so small the rest of the world barely noticed them? The Left Behind guys gave everyone this gleaming notion of airplanes dropping from the skies and cars going off the road as Jesus sweeps away believer in the rapture. Peter gave us the picture that it was just a small fragment.

Therefore, I believe the “rapture” as one might term it, a reality, but a reality at a time when the amount of people swept away were so small in number, the vast world around it continues in unrighteousness. Is Erdogan the anti-Christ? The man of sin? How do you, (whoever is reading this) not know you are not the man of sin by the very things that war inside of you? Only you lack the power to carry out what these powerful men and women have the armies to do. Do you have the same evil desires Jesus said to be aware of that come from the heart? Or are you still worried about what goes into the body that is defiling you? Believe me, these are questions I have to wrestle with all the time. Do I have the same internal evil desire a powerful man has, only he has the power to carry it out and by the grace of God I do not have armies and weapons at my disposal?

This is probably why we are often told to pray for our leaders. What struggles they must have to weigh and wrestle. I find the warnings are vast to all men and women and to the simplest of us, we are still exhorted to trim our candles, keep watch, care for the vineyard and love our neighbor. The time is short. With this I will agree. We’ve been duped in an age of extended life-expectancy that we are not but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow.

Well these are just some thoughts. I do not get excited by signs of the end times, I pray merely that I can stand if I should find myself in the midst of that day. Glory be to God. Christ is born in the Holy Advent season.

    • mspip

yes we all need to take heed of the times we are in. no one knows how long this current world will stand as it is. but could be longer than we think. left behind is fiction, pure and simple. a friend loaned me the book and i read it, not impressed…

pray for our leaders, they need help… some more than others! will not mention names.

  • The problem is people do not realize that the Madhi is the Antichrist. Islam takes everything that is Biblical and flip it upside and backward.

    • Behnam

That is my whole point. I am saying that the Mahdi is the man of sin and that we should study his description.

      • You said that Erdogan don’t fit the bill and you do not offer any explanation to back your assertion.

So I am waiting for why you think that Erdogan do not fit the bill.

        • Behnam

All that you have to do is to look up hadiths on the Mahdi. It gives physical descriptions as well as how he will enter the global scene. If you don’t want to then that’s fine. We will all know the truth soon and be in the same boat. Not sure why there is so much hostility toward my opinion.

          • Why should I look into the Islamic’s sayings? Hmm?

As for perceived hostility, I wasn’t the one who suggested to Walid, being a former Muslim, to look up the Madhi.

          • Behnam

you said youself that the Mahdi is the antichrist and yet you won’t study him from its very source? Also I have read the Quran as well as many hadiths.

          • Why should I investigate their false prophecy? The Bible never gave us the appearance of the Antichrist, only what he would do from passages throughout the Scriptures.

Since you were the one who said about the appearance of the Mahdi from the Islamic source, you should be the one providing sources, not me. Frankly, I am far more concerned in geopolitics and how it lines up with history and the Scriptures rather than to rely on false prophets inspired by Satan.

          • Behnam

I don’t rely on it I just doubt the devil would mislead about that.

      • Ray Kemper

In the Bible NOT the koran the koran is pure deception. If you want answers look in the Holy Bible that is where you will find the truth! BTW Behnam I’m not mad I’m not mad at you I just don’t want you to be confused, never refer to the koran for truth. Please correct me if I’m wrong Walid.I need your input on this one.

        • Behnam

I know I read the bible but on things like this you can find twisted truths and get some info. You just have to remember that Christ is the truth not a dajjal

          • Ray Kemper

I don’t mean to nit pick but I capitalized Bible but not koran for a reason. God bless and have a wonderful day.

          • RodK1975

Same here, Ray, it’s a pet peeve of mine when people don’t capitalize is… as well as He, His and Him when talking about the Father, Son and/or Holy Spirit…

  • Let’s just say that Erdogan knows that Iran is the key. If he can get Iran to back Turkey, then the rest of the Middle East will fall in line.

Naturally, Saudi Arabia will object along with Egypt and Israel.

Some forget that Jesus said that nations will rise against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms. Funny enough, if we look at the maps of the modern world, we find that the Middle East have the highest concentration of kingdoms, and most of them populates the Arabian peninsula.

It will be interesting to see how Russia will react when Iran breaks its diplomatic relations and join force with Turkey.

He certainly has an insanely big ego. That will be his undoing one way or another.

  • We’re merely seeing the beginning of a long, gruesome process. Rapture teaching, especially that proposed by Darby and his cult, is mere fantasy and makes a Christian into either a coward afraid of suffering for Our Lord or delusional in thinking they’ll escape what the Lord warned us about.

The Copts, the Syriacs and the Eastern Orthodox have been true to their faith (even if the Syriacs are semi-Nestorian), far more so than Western Christians ever have (save Rome). The laity are hardened with the Armor of Christ. Let’s see how long others can withstand pressure.

  • There is a judge born every day who says they are “born again” when all they are, are “born again judges” who think they can tell who is and who is not “born again”. Then they come in here to pass insults. And then with a jot of a line they tell us that they know all about Ezekiel 38. Tell me then, is it a separate battle from Armageddon? And if so why?

Do you profess you are wise?

  • Recommend you read Irenaeus’ analysis of prophecy from Book V, Against Heresies. His analysis have served as the basis for my arguments against the pre-trib rapture, pay particular attention to chapter XXIV and XXXV.

  • We use that seem Greek today, my friend in Christ. Darby is horribly wrong in this. We will endure much tribulation, and will suffer on our cross as The Lord suffered on His. Still, we support each other for the time of pain will be short, as God is ever-merciful.

  • susan

    No. 🙂

  • Grandmere

The two are in serious talks right now regarding a natural gas pipeline through Turkey from the Leviathan offshore field.

  • This also happened in 70AD. It’s a “near and far” fulfillment in prophecy.

  • We have two references to ensure Antichrist comes from Pergamum and another “Gog” is “chief prince of Meshech and Tubal” which are in Asia minor. Ezekiel 38 is not a prelude to Armageddon for several reasons:

There are so many additional reasons why we can never separate the battle of Gog and Magog from Armageddon, therefore it can never be a prelude to Armageddon, but is Armageddon:

1—When Israel is completely purified (Ezekiel 38:23-39:7-8) is only when Messiah is on earth and the Gentile nations aswell will be convicted of their unbelief and will know that He (Jehovah) is God (Ezekiel 38:16).

2—In both prophecies—Gog in Ezekiel 38 and Armageddon in Revelation—Christ is present, “And the heathen shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel,” (Ezekiel 39:7). The Holy One is “in” Israel. Other parts of Scripture use the phrase “the Holy One of Israel,” but here the Messiah is actually present on the Earth in the Land of Israel. This “in” is crucial. Christ can only be present in His second coming only when Antichrist is on earth (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

We also have “the earth shall shake at my presence” (Ezekiel38:20). This is God’s presense as Him standing on the Mount of Olives. We also have verse 18, which states, “My fury shall come up in my face.” (Ezekiel 38: 18).

Zechariah describes the same event from his own prophetic perspective:

“I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle…Then Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.” (Zechariah 14: 1-4)

Jehovah with feet standing on the Mount of Olives is literal just as “my face” in Ezekiel 38: 18.

3—The destruction of both Gog and the Antichrist is accompanied by an earthquake of unparalleled proportions: “And all the men that are upon the face of the earth shallshake at my presence” (Ezekiel 38:20) “… Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground,” (Ezekiel 38:19-20).

This is not a small event. Every creature on the earth will shake at the presence of Jesus. All this matches the Book of Revelation: “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon…And there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great…and the cities of the nations fell…And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found,” (Revelation 16:18-20). Both descriptions tell us that the mountains are “thrown down.”

4—There is only one second coming; if the war of Gog and Magog occurs just prior to Christ’s coming and is a separateevent from Armageddon, then do we have two separate battles for Christ, one to fight Gog and the other to fight Antichrist? How many comings are there?

5—The return of Christ for this battle is well defined in the Book of Joel: “Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge allthe nations on every side…Jehovah will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But Jehovah will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold forthe people of Israel.” (Joel 3:12, 16)

6—Revelation 19 and the Battle or Armageddon is primarily founded on Ezekiel 38 and the Battle of Gog and Magog. Nearly every Commentary on Revelation that one can findwill affirm this—except those written by the European Antichrist theorists—they do their best to hide this fact.

7—Gog is Antichrist, Ezekiel makes it clear that all prophets speak of Gog: “This is what Jehovah the Sovereign says: Are you (Gog) not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them,”(Ezekiel 38:17). When this event happens, the Lord asks, are you not this one spoken of by the prophets? The word prophets is plural—many prophets, or even all of them that prophesied prior to Ezekiel. If Israel’s prophets speak of Gog and Magog, then where are all of the references made of Gog by the other prophets unless they are all speaking of the same individual?

8—Even the enemy’s armies who are eaten by wildlife are in both Revelation 19 and Ezekiel 38. The specific descriptions concerning the destruction of Gog and his armies and thedefeat of the Antichrist mirror one another almost perfectly:

Gog: “Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: ‘Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth…At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,’ declares Jehovah the Sovereign,” (Ezekiel 39:17-20).

Antichrist: “And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, ‘Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you mayeat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great,’” (Revelation 19:17).

Gog:“I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone,” (Ezekiel 38:22).

Antichrist: “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon… Then there came… From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundredpounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible,” (Revelation 16:16-21).

9—Even the direction from which the Antichrist is coming is mentioned, it is always the north, just as in Ezekiel 38: “But I will remove far off from you the northern army,” (Joel 2:20). “go with whirlwinds of the south ( see Zechariah 9:14-16).

10—The weapons are destroyed in both The Gog and Magog battle and in Armageddon. After the destruction of Gog, the peoples of Israel will burn the weapons of war that have been scattered on the battlefield (Ezekiel 39:8-9).

  • Grandmere

What about Hagia Sophia? It’s sitting right there in Istanbul.

    • Lidia

I think if Erdogan wanted to make a huge impression in the Muslim world, it would have to be St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome. This would only make them think that Muhammad is right in everything he says. They want to draw more people into Islam, whether its secular/modern Muslims or non-Muslims. The seat of Peter will be vacant and will be filled by this Caliph.
It will only be temporary though. This will be the starting point of a religious war, not secular.

      • Lidia

        Happy New Year Susan!

        • susan

          Happy New Year Lidia!

  • First things first. There are so many additional reasons why we can never separate the battle of Gog and Magog from Armageddon, therefore it can never be a prelude to Armageddon (as you stated), but is Armageddon. You need to answer

1—Why is Israel completely purified in Ezekiel 38:23-39:7-8?

It is only when Messiah is on earth and the Gentile nations aswell will be convicted of their unbelief and will know that He (Jehovah) is God (Ezekiel 38:16).

So the Messiah must be here at Ezekiel 38. You have bought into much nonsense and hype.

2—Why is it that in both prophecies—Gog in Ezekiel 38 and Armageddon in Revelation—Christ is present, “And the heathen shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel,” (Ezekiel 39:7).

Do you see: The Holy One is “in” Israel?

3—Why is the destruction of both Gog and the Antichrist is accompanied by an earthquake of unparalleled proportions?

“And all the men that are upon the face of the earth shallshake at my presence” (Ezekiel 38:20)

“… Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground,” (Ezekiel 38:19-20).

4—If there is only one second coming; if the war of Gog and Magog occurs just prior to Christ’s coming and is a separate event from Armageddon, then do we have two separate battles for Christ, one to fight Gog and the other to fight Antichrist?

    How many comings are there?

You would have to say 3. Your argument is over.

5—Why in Revelation 19 and the Battle or Armageddon is primarily founded also in Ezekiel 38 in the Battle of Gog and Magog?

Nearly every Commentary on Revelation that one can findwill affirm this—except those written by the European Antichrist theorists—they do their best to hide this fact.

6—Why is Gog described exactly as is the Antichrist?

Ezekiel makes it clear that all prophets speak of Gog: “This is what Jehovah the Sovereign says: Are you (Gog) not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them,”(Ezekiel 38:17).

When this event happens, the Lord asks, are you not this one spoken of by the prophets? The word prophets is plural—many prophets, or even all of them that prophesied prior to Ezekiel. If Israel’s prophets speak of Gog and Magog, then where are all of the references made of Gog by the other prophets unless they are all speaking of the same individual?

7—Why is even the enemy’s armies who are eaten by wildlife are in both Revelation 19 and Ezekiel 38?

8—Why even the direction from which the Antichrist is coming is mentioned, it is always the north, just as in Ezekiel 38?

“But I will remove far off from you the northern army,” (Joel 2:20). “go with whirlwinds of the south ( see Zechariah 9:14-16).

9—Why are the weapons are destroyed in both The Gog and Magog battle and in Armageddon?

After the destruction of Gog, the peoples of Israel will burn the weapons of war that have been scattered on the battlefield (Ezekiel 39:8-9).

So you have 9 questions, answer well, and you will be my fan.

    Lets see how you do.

So let iron sharpen iron. That is if you are not simply aluminum.

    • Brother, You don’t have much time. There is a big difference between being a Catholic and a CHRISTIAN. A Christian is someone who has the Holy Spirit living inside them and knows exactly when He came inside and HOW He came inside your heart. And it isn’t by water baptism. There must be a moment when you became a Living Spirit and everything became new. Do you remember the day you got married? If your salvation isn’t as clear as that day, then you are not saved. Sorry.

That day that you got saved becomes your TESTIMONY.

Oh, and BTW, I am a JEW.

      • The only spirit you have inside of you is the spirit of slander. You can do the effort yourself to find my testimony which is posted on several media and is written in a book. You made an argument yet you could not answer 9 simple questions. Now do me a favor and just get lost. You were nasty from the beginning.

      • “BTW, I am a JEW.”

So was Lenin and Marx. Big deal. There are good Jews and bad Jews and trashy Jews smart Jews and stupid Jews.

        Which one are you?

        You don’t sound very witty.

  • Jafo,

Your argument, at face value, means I do not have to listen to anything Amos said because he was speaking to the Jews and the church is off the hook. Yes, ultimately his indictment is against Judah and Israel, but he is challenging the superficial qualities of religious institutions. The Kingdoms were split at this point, but the northern Kingdom, Israel, was enjoying a time of relative peace and prosperity under Jeroboam II. Therefore, it was the social, moral and religious corruption that allowed for the prosperity to grow. The corruption of Israelite society was tied to the religious structures and to the material prosperity which the Israelites so often interpreted as divine favor. To me, that sounds exactly like today’s prosperity gospel that is among the “church.” To say nothing Amos said had no implications to today’s church is something I cannot buy.

What do you understand the “Day of the Lord” to mean here? What is it saying in its context? If the day of the Lord begins with the tribulation and includes the events of the second coming of Christ, then Amos’ point is to be aware! The day of the Lord is not to be desired if we
are not walking and living in the truth.

In Amos 5:21-23, God inspected the hearts of men first and all other feast, offerings and melodies that were haughty and proud were offensive to God. The prerequisite to meaningful religious observances was righteousness and justice and otherwise, all religious practice was despised and rejected by Yahweh.

The prophecy of Amos closes with the promise of restoration for Israel. James made specific reference to Amos’ prophecy in Acts 15:16-18. James assured the council that God’s program for Israel had not been abandoned by the coming of Gentiles into the church. If “Amos was prophetic to the Jews not the church,” as you assert, why did James, the first leader of the church reference it when addressing the early church? The prophecy of Amos cannot and must not be ignored by the church and his warnings are as applicable to us today as they were to the Israel in which he ministered.

    • RodK1975

This is precisely why I enjoy reading your comments, Vinny… 🙂

      • Thank Rod. I hope your Christmas was well. Happy New Year!

  • “I don’t debate with non christians about the bible.”

Then you only discuss and dialogue the Bible with Christians only? This would render you useless which you are. And if you insist that everyone shares their testimony on a comment section whenever you ask, may I have your shirt and your cloak? The Bible said if someone asks for your shirt give him your cloak also. So, give me your shirt and your cloak.

    What an idiot.

  • Ironically, the word “rapture” came when St. Jermone was translating Greek into Latin, known as the Vulgate, and he inserted the word, “rapturo.”

The trouble with what Paul said is how folks like Darby and the pre-tribbers argue is that Paul meant to create a new doctrine when in fact Paul was pointing straight back to what Jesus was saying.

Jesus said that “immediately after the tribulation, He would send His angels ahead of Him and gather together the elect from the four winds of heaven,” and Paul was offering words of comfort to the believers at Thessaloniki. Unfortunately, there were heretics who tried to say that the 2nd Coming had already gone by and they missed it, triggering panic and Paul had to write a second epistle to calm them down, and in no uncertain terms did Paul flatly refuted the heretics and clearly defined that before the 2nd coming of Christ, the Man of Sin, the Antichrist must be present in whom Christ will destroy at His Second Coming.

Then in his epistle to Titus, Paul clearly stated that there await a crown for those who loves the Lord’s appearing, which is a clear reference to those who eagerly await the 2nd Coming. This is also a recall of Christ’s words to the disciples when He said, “Blessed are those whose master find the servants waiting for him,” which again is a clear reference of the 2nd Coming.

In contrast, Christ says that wicked and lazy servant will beat up on fellow servants in the master’s absence, and when the master finds out, what did Christ say would happen to the wicked servant? That’s exactly what is happening, which has been since the inception of the Church at Pentecost to today, and will be so until the Master returns.

The greatest tragedy of today church leaders, and lay leaders, are those who do not seek the wisdom of the Ante-Nicene Fathers who were disciples of the apostles themselves, because in my examination of their words, I find a clear uniformity they all expected for the Antichrist to appear before the 2nd Coming, and for the Church to endure savage persecution.

The Book of Revelation was given to John in order to strengthen and encourage the seven churches in Asia, all located in Turkey, and to give a complete picture of what lies ahead. I haste to add that the Book of Revelation almost did not make it into the Canon because the early church council, tasked to put together the Scriptures, hesitated based on two reasons. 1) There were a debate whether the writer of the Apocalypse/Revelation was indeed John because of its rich symbolism, imagery, and language were different from the writing style of John the apostle. 2) This is probably the largest point made, they felt that the Apocalypse/Revelation book would become a source of great deal of confusion and distortion of the Scriptures.

    • And yet, according to the doofii who show up to pester actual believers, we’s imbued with legalism. Nearly two millennia of Biblical scholarship apparently pales to some delusional fool who made false doctrine out of whole cloth.

      • Yeah. And there’s a comment below saying that the better source than Ireaneus’ writing is Revelation 7.

        • If it’s from ed, take is as garbage. He’s a simpleton who thinks he’s above the scholars and apostles.

          • RodK1975

            1 Peter 1 6-7…
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 that
the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and
honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ…

Sounds like tribulation to me… but what do we know… lol

Everyone claims to have such great faith, but how do they know their faith is great until that faith is really tried… and I don’t mean “tried” like “Oh Lord, I didn’t have my double mocha frappichino this morning, help me make it to lunch time without getting a caffeine headache..” I mean tried by affliction of some kind…

  • Willing to die for Jesus

Amen! I am most devoted to Our Lady of Fatima, who revealed Herself to be Our Lady of the Rosary.

I have my eyes focused squarely on the Blessed Virgin who always comes to us with warnings of repentance.

But has anybody been listening and Praying the Rosary? For the redemption of mankind and the conversion of sinners, both ourselves and the clergy?

I am looking to attending a SSPX parish but it is over an hour away though I have come across some who will travel 4 hours to attend a TLM service.

Did you know the Orthodox were vehemently against the Church abandoning the TLM? I can only now wonder if the Orthodox who at the time, under the Iron Curtain with the USSR and the Soviet Bloc, had more of an input at the 1962-1965 Second Vatican Council, would have led to the retention of the Old Rite?

Do you think the message of Fatima (or Our Lady of Akita, whom I haven’t looked into, and who I think is the last time Our Lady has come to us in a Church-approved Marian apparition since the one at Medjugorje in Bosnia was not given approval).. has anything to do with the Latin Mass being abandoned??

I know P Benedict XVI tried to make it more widely available.. and there are some who say the Novus Ordo rite has been helpful for those in sub-Saharan Africa which is becoming majority Catholic.

Sometimes I also wonder if P Francis was elected to help stem the awful “missionaries” from the USA targeting the poor Catholics of Latin America where a counter-reformation is desperately needed.

The US-based sects have really spread their false Protestant gospel to Catholics rather than targeting Muslim countries.

And now the USA being on the same side of Muslim Turkey and eradicating the Catholics and Orthodox of Iraq and Syria… I have been praying for a return of the USA to the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church through the Intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

And I have to remind myself that is Our Lady of Guadelupe who is the true uniter of the Americas, North and South… not the “founding fathers” who are as Christian as the masonic Statue of Liberty.

I recall how hurt John Paul II was by the proliferation of all those US Protestant cults into South America, destroying the united faith of so many families. And doing this in the name of Christ is outrageous.

May God forgive them for using the name of His Son to defame the Church.

Meanwhile we also continue praying for the Catholic/Orthodox recommunion with the prophetic acceptance of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Inauguration of Pope Francis in 2013.

And yes the Blessed Virgin is also praying for the conversion of Muslims at Fatima.

You may find this article interesting which I have shared with others here, from the Abp of Washington… about Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Guadelupe and the Virgin Mary crushing the Crescent (Muslims) and being victorious

So many Catholics also see Fatima as being about the conversion of the Muslims.

See also this as well which I have shared as well…. Our Lady, Conqueror of Muslim Hearts.

We need to pray for Muslims who greatly venerate the Blessed Virgin to see the fullness of the faith in Christ, meanwhile most Protestants need to be prayed for as they reject the Blessed Mother and say the most awful things about Her and accuse us of idolatry and in this respect are no different to the Muslims.

If you have any information about Fatima, please inform me.

Meanwhile, I am sure you know about the Fatima Apostolate which Fr Gunner began,

I have also been meaning to do the First Five Saturdays to counter-act all the blasphemies against the Blessed Virgin, mostly committed by Protestants but also by many in the modern Church.

“During the revelation of Our Lord at Tuy on May 29, 1930, Sister Lucia asked that question. This was the response given her by Heaven:

“My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

    Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception;

    Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity;

    Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of Men;

    The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children indifference or scorn or even hatred of this Immaculate Mother;

The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her Holy Images.”

Also P Benedict XVI did re-open the issue which was supposedly closed with the shooting of JPII by the Turkish Muslim Marxist as being the “secret” which Sister Lucia was told by the Blessed Virgin when he proclaimed at the beatification of Blessed Jacinta in 2010 at Fatima, Portugal:

“May the seven years which separate us from the centenary of the apparitions hasten the fulfilment of the prophecy of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity.”

Have you also heard what the Chief Exorcist at the Vatican, Fr Amorth, has said about Fatima?
The papacies of JPII, BXVI and Francis have all been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Our Lady of Fatima.

Anyway, we are living in the Age of Mary awaiting the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with the Woman in Revelations 12 at war with the Dragon. We being the Children of Mary, the followers of Christ Her Son and Our Lord and Savior. And awaiting the coming glory of the Holy Trinity.

God bless you in the name of Christ Our Redeemer and His Most Blessed Mother.

Heck, I could argue that Mohammad is the Antichrist because Muslims have given him titles that is a straight robbery of Christ with his 99 Titles.

The easiest way to get what he is talking about is to read God’s War on Terror.

  • A false reading. You may wish to consult the Church Fathers on this.

  • Hello, Ratliff;

For a condensed view of how Orthodox see the Rapture as it is understood by a lot of Evangelicals, I’d refer to a colleague, John Sanidopoulos, and his blog, Mystagogy:

    • Grandmere

      I wondered where he went.

      • racarrera

We still talk, and he’s doing well. Hopefully, when time loosens up, we’ll have a coffee together.

  • I will. Ouzo is wonderful, but…

Rakija is not ouzo. It’s a brandy. Raki, from Turkey, is ouzo. This leads to a lot of confusion. Either way, bottoms up.

  • Keep on reading.

The next verse gives clue to what the Antichrist will do:

“By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.”

In other word, the Antichrist will win over many with flattery. If you are interested, I have posted a series of survey on the Antichrist citing from the Scriptures and the early Church Fathers on my blog. You can find the link in my Disqus profile.

    • Lidia

Wow, Trevor, you did a great job on your series of survey on the antichrist. I really like your historical maps. Islam is definitely part of an oppressive fascist antichrist system, currently attempting to subvert Europe and causing terrorism and warfare throughout the world.

      • All because they are following the open ended order to wage jihad until the whole world is under the banner of Islam. Heh, not going to happen because of God’s safeguard…free will.

  • I have skimmed through that article and I found it missing out on several key points.

Number 1, Nimrod is a title given to an unknown king as a sign of insult. I have seen a doctrine dissertation that argues Nimrod was actually king Sargon.

Number 2, the whole thing about Egypt is another conspiracy theory run amok. However, a friend of mine and I have discovered a possible link between a mystery school of Egypt and Islam, and that is the religion order of Sufism, which I am more than convinced is the religion the Antichrist, through Islam, will bring to the world. Sufism have already been hard at work in laying the groundwork to deceive millions into following the Antichrist. Here is one example why Sufism is deceiving, “The chosen ones of God, the salt of the earth, who responded without
hesitation to the call of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed, were
Sufis, and were not only simple followers of a religion but had insight
into divine knowledge.” (Source: Sufism is the ultimate Gnostic sect that is downright dangerous, more than any Gnostic sects that Christians have combated since Pentecost.

Number 3, in the article’s listing of the seven empires, they missed the 7th empire, namely the Ottoman Empire, and today, Erdogan of Turkey is putting in overtime and half to revert Turkey back to the Ottoman’s time, and possibly back to the Greece Empire. See, what Rome and the Ottoman could not do was conquer the Persian empire to the east. So Erdogan knows if he can get Iran to back Turkey, the rest of the Middle East will fall in line with the exception of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel.

Number 4, it is Saudi Arabia that is home to Mecca, the birthplace of Islam and the site of worship for millions of Muslims who are required by Islamic laws to make the “hajj” to Mecca and to touch the black stone to have their sins cleanse. There is also a history behind Saudi Arabia’s rise and that is due to the House of Saud, a kingly lineage, and the House of Wahab, the priestly lineage, who co-conspired with the British to overthrow the Ottoman’s control of Mecca. It is from the House of Wahab that produced the likes of Osama bin Laden, yes stupidly trained by the CIA to overthrow the Soviet Union’s occupation of Afghanistan. Saudi Arabia, along with Qatar, and Turkey have been proven over and over to provide support to ISIS.

Now, is Erdogan the Antichrist? We do not know yet. So far as I can tell, he is looking more and more like prima donna candidate to be the Antichrist. All we need is for him to sit in the temple of God and declare himself as a god, exactly what Sufism teach, that man becomes a god.

I am hoping that he is the Great Catholic Monarch since his name is Henry (Henry Charles Albert David to be exact), he is a pilot and he has red hair. All these descriptions are written in Catholic prophecies including the name Emperor Henry. If he ever converts to Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox will be final sign that he is the one foretold in prophecy by saints, prophets, and Nostradamus who will lead a crusader army against the Islamists. Once he exterminates them (before they consume the whole world like a cancer), he will restore the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Prince Harry is 31 years old and when he reaches his 40’s (If he is the one) will be the time we fight world war 3. So we have about 10+ years to go but like you said things are happening right now. Starting in 2016, we will start to see more protests and riots all over the world. From these riots will come revolutions and civil wars. I see this happening in Europe very soon but it could also happen here in America. At the same time, the Middle East will explode.

I wonder who he will marry. He is waiting for that someone special. It will be interesting if he falls in love with a Catholic or Orthodox woman. His grandfather Philip used to be Orthodox but converted to Anglican when he married Queen Elizabeth. Nothing against Anglicans, unless it’s an Anglican restoring the Catholic Church. Wouldn’t that be interesting!

If it’s not Prince Harry then GM will come from somewhere else in Europe like maybe Belgium. According to Nostradamus, the Grand Monarch–the Roman Belgian King– will rout the (Muslim) invaders. He will have French royal blood. All these European royals are related.

  • Guess that makes Obama the prophet ROFL

Hi Emerson, I never said that I didn’t believe in the OT. And I love Walid and Ted. They are so knowledgeable when it comes to Christian history and the Bible. Walid knows a lot about Islam because he was once a Muslim. I learned so much from Walid and Ted. But I always was fascinated with Nostradamus since I was a kid. I can’t help it. Remember the movie with Orson Welles. I was terrified.

Nostradamus predicts the rise of ISIS!

Nostradamus’ quatrains become clearer as we draw closer to the events taking place in this world. In his last and final quatrains he talks about a major attack on Europe from Muslims who come from Africa and the Middle East.

Spain, Italy, France are attacked the most. Italy probably the worse out of all the countries. Gee I wonder why. The European islands in the Mediterranean are devastated. So how could Nostradamus be wrong. Isn’t that what is happening now. It’s only the beginning–THIS REVENGE! We are only 9 years into this war, we have 18 more years to go. That is a long time. It will only get worse as we get closer to the end of this 27 year revenge war. Their end goal– Islamic Caliphate.
Nostradamus predicts that the third Anti-Christ (MABUS) dies, a 27 year war of vengeance (ISIS terrorism) will begin. The execution of Saddam Hussein took place on Saturday, December 30, 2006. If MABUS=SUDAM (Saddam) then it should be 27 years after 2006, which is 2033-2034.

This means that ISIS will take revenge on all western countries for 27 years (because of the Iraq war X 2) until they are stopped for good. Turkey (Erdogan) and other Islamic countries will join in.

    Century 2, Quatrain 62
Mabus will soon die, then will come
A horrible slaughter of people and animals,
At once one will see vengeance coming
from a hundred hands. Thirst and famine
    when the comet will pass.

    Century 8, Quatrain 70

He will enter, wicked, unpleasant, infamous,
    Tyrannizing over Mesopotamia
All Friends made by the adulterous lady
The land dreadful and black of aspect

    Century 8, Quatrain 77
The antichrist very soon annihilates the three (translates to 3rd antichrist),
twenty-seven years his war will last.
    The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled;
with blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth.

    Century 2, Quatrain 30
One who the infernal gods of Hannibal
    Will cause to be reborn
    terror to all mankind,
Never more horror, nor worse of days
    in the past, will come

to the Romans/Italians (Vatican especially) through Babel.

There are so many more quatrains, google Nostradamus and Islam. Google Yves Dupont’s Catholic prophecies too.

Today, the damage has already been done in Europe. ISIS terrorists are simply “terrorizing” Europe all the time!!! They made Europe fearful to the point where most of the major cities couldn’t even celebrate New Year Eve. They will create CHAOS for years to come. They will use immigration from Africa and the Middle East to do their dirty job. What’s next, nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons? Constant blackmail? Europe at the moment is nearing ROCK BOTTOM if not AT rock bottom!!!

2033-2034 are very significant years when it comes to Catholic prophecies. That’s when the Christians take back Europe. Nostradamus talks about a man he calls, “CHIREN,” anagram for Henri C. He is the leader of the Western Forces in WW3. In Catholic prophecies he is called Emperor Henry (Great Monarch) and he will have very strong Catholic values. He will chase out these radical Muslims out of Europe and will continue to fight them in Africa and the Middle East (found in many quatrains). The final battle will be somewhere in Armenia near some river, east of the Black Sea (in one of his quatrains). This war will last 4 years. The war will end in 2037/2038.
Chiren will RESTORE the traditions of Europe and make it great again. He will also restore the Catholic Church and the pope. NO more Sharia, NO more mosques, NO more Islam in Europe!!!! The good Muslims can thank the radical Muslims for that. If the good Muslims want to stay in Europe, they will have to convert because Islam will be OUTLAWED–ILLEGAL. Even throughout most of the world, Islam will be banned.

There will be 1000 years of peace after the wars. Hopefully the cause of this 1000 year peace will not be because man will use nuclear bombs during the war and become almost extinct. Or maybe it’s because of a comet. Or maybe both. Nostradamus predicted a comet too and it’s also in Catholic prophecies. Here is a time-line below from a Catholic website:

According to Catholic prophecies, the OT and NT prophecies come at a different time period. Notice that Nostradamus stops his prophecies after the 1000 year peace. He doesn’t need to say anything anymore because the Bible says it all. We will learn from our mistakes for a long time but we will forget. This is when the antichrist will come. Nostradamus only tells us the date the Earth will be destroyed–in the year 3797.

    1 John 2:18
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

I am not trying to talk you or anyone else here into believing in me or Nostradamus. Walid could be right in everything he says. So I guess I am here to entertain Walid.
    Bring out the popcorn! LOL!!!!

    Happy New Year Emerson!!!

Jesus is His name in Greek, Yeshua is His name in Hebrew. In English? Joshua.

    • Millions today say that using the English name “Jesus” is “improper”. They suggest you use Yeshua instead. For Christians to call the Savior Yeshua including the use of the Hebrew version of the Old Testament is absolutely wrong (which we will also cover in more detail later).

Surprised? Don’t be. Fact is, that by the time you read the name Yeshua, as you are doing here using English letters, you have 100% already mispronounced the name of the Savior. Unless one speaks ancient Hebrew, the Hebrew name ישוע can never be pronounced as Yeshua (Ya-shu-wah) which sounds more like Chinese, not Hebrew.

These who swallowed the bait, hook line and sinker, do not know that the use of Yeshua as a name for the Savior is an evolved pronunciation that came from English speaking Messianic followers who miserably failed to properly pronounce Hebrew. First of all, the ending in the name Yeshua (what sounds like “ua” or “oowah”) is an American attempt that mispronounce the last Hebrew letter in the name. The last letter is aiyn (ע), a rough, guttural sound not found in Greek or English.

Millions of poor souls are duping themselves. They do not even realize that the Hebrew letter aiyn does not even exist in English and is never pronounced with the “oowah” sounding. In the ancient Hebrew world the letter aiyn just as the Semitic letters Khaf and Cheit are extremely difficult for westerners to pronounce.

Most people (including even Jews) only pronounce the Hebrew letter ayin as a glottal stop if at all, but when ayin is pronounced properly in some Hebrew accents (i.e. Mizrachi, Sephardic) the consonant is pronounced equally no matter where it occurs in the word. In ancient Hebrew it was indeed pronounced more “heavily” while modern Hebrew has slowly rejected this pronunciation (because they simply could not do it) and evolved when the European immigrants who revived Hebrew used sounds they knew from German or Russian, so they didn’t vocalize the Hebrew letter aiyn since they too, like the English speaking world could not do it.

I should know this subject on how to pronounce the Hebrew since it was Eliezer Ben-Yehuda who was the renovator of the Hebrew language for the state of Israel and his grandson, Rabbi Eliezer Ben Yehuda is a friend of mine. His grandfather came from the West. Eliezer and I had such discussions on the pronunciation of David, which most do not even know, should be more correctly pronounced as Dāwīḏ as we said it in Bethlehem. Anyone could consult these sages of the Hebrew language and see that we are correct.

      Eliezer Ben-Yehuda Sr
      Eliezer Ben-Yehuda Jr
Originally the aiyn was pronounced more like the other Semitic languages. In fact all cases of Hebrew phonemes ended up as allophones which wasn’t the case in ancient Hebrew. Ask most Jews and they will tell you that a lot of these traditions of Hebrew pronunciation are disappearing or have already disappeared because most Jews now learn and use modern Israeli pronunciation even in religious contexts.

Another fact is the predominance of Arabic as the spoken language that influenced and helped preserve the sound of ayin among Mizrahi Jews who correctly insist that it is European influence that resulted in its loss.

While everything I wrote so far about pronouncing Yeshua is an issue of semantics and nothing more, the question then is: why then object on semantics when English speaking folk say “Jesus” while the Messianic persist on the wrong pronunciation Ya-shu-whaa? The “oowah” sound is nothing like the sound of “aiyn” just as much as the sound of “Je” is unlike the sound of “Ya”.

Why all this hair-splitting gymnastics when even in the Septuagint and other Greek-language Jewish texts, such as the writings of Josephus and Philo of Alexandria use the Greek Ἰησοῦς Iēsoûs which was the standard Koine Greek form used to translate both of the Hebrew names: Yehoshua and Yeshua?

Greek Ἰησοῦς or Iēsoûs is also used to represent the name of Joshua son of Nun in the New Testament passages Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8. (It was even used in the Septuagint to translate the name Hoshea in one of the three verses where this referred to Joshua the son of Nun—Deut. 32:44.) So if the Almighty cared so much about how we pronounce a name, why is it that two of these men (Joshua the son of Nun and Joshua the High Priest) are mentioned in other books of the Hebrew Bible where they are instead called Yehoshua?

So to use Yehoshua, Yeshua or the Aramaic Eashoa’ M’sheekha or the Arabic Yesu‘ or the Spanish Jesus which is pronounced Hesus or the English Jesus … is all the same to God who never once said that the “saved” can only enter through the gate of “proper pronunciation”.

So it is okay to use Yeshua, but stop insisting that everyone else do the same.

  • I would suggest that you are an instrument of Satan.

TO BE MESSIANIC IS TO BE CATHOLIC. Does this turn you off? Explain then, why early Jews, prior to Christianity, including even the first Jews who became Christian, these two groups resemble very little from what we see in the modern Messianic movements of today? It is here where none in the Hebrew Roots Movement or even the Messianic Evangelicals can connect to the true Hebrew Roots. Here, lets walk together through an amazing journey to understand the wealth and the treasures of God and see how to become as wise as serpents.

Rabbi Jonathan ben Uzziel, a disciple of Hillel understood Messianism. Paul who met Jesus at the Road to Damascus was a pupil of Gamaliel the grandson of Hillel, who taught between 22-55 AD. Uzziel, Hillel’s disciple understood Isaiah 53 as referring to ancient commentators which he understood differently than post Temple rabbis who switched the subject of Isaiah 53 to being about “Israel”. Uzziel explains it completely as Christians today understand the Messiah:

“Our ancient commentators with one accord noted that the context clearly speaks of God’s Anointed One, the Messiah. The Aramaic translation of this chapter, ascribed to c.e., begins with the simple and worthy words:

‘Behold my servant Messiah shall prosper; he shall be high, and increase, and be exceeding strong: as the house of Israel looked to him through many days, because their countenance was darkened among the peoples, and their complexion beyond the sons of men (Targum Jonathan on Isaiah 53, ad locum).’”

“Our ancient commentators with one accord”? This would mean that they all understood Israel’s rejection of the Messiah. We also find the same interpretation in the much older Talmud, the Babylonian Talmud: “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him a leper, smitten of God, and afflicted” (Sanhedrin 98b) and similarly, in an explanation of Ruth 2:14 in the Midrash Rabbah:

He is speaking of the King Messiah: “Come hither” draw near to the throne “and dip thy morsel in the vinegar,” this refers to the chastisements, as it is said, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities.”

What is amazing is that the sages of Judaism extracted all this from linking other prophecies to Ruth 2:14. Yet all what Ruth 2:14 speaks about is a dinner (at the Shepherds Fields which my family owned much of that land) between Boaz and Ruth:

And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left. (2:14)

On a side note, I am touched by Ruth and Boaz. My grandmother Hilweh (meaning beautiful) was a gleaner, and how she married my grandfather who was a major land owner was similar to how Ruth married Boaz. What is profound is how a simple story about a dinner is so mystically interpreted. A simple invitation to dinner signifies the calling of the people to the Kingdom of the Messiah; a mere dipping of bread into vinegar is meant to foretell the suffering of Christ.

The modern reads such a verse and says, “They are just having dinner.” But the orthodox would read this, and see God. This way of reading Scripture is not exactly how Evangelicals read Scripture, it is the same as that of Catholic Church Fathers, who saw God in the simplest of events. For example, St. Bernard read the story of St. Peter coming to Christ with two swords, and saw one sword representing the temporal authority, and the other representing the spiritual authority, of the Church. Today’s modern evangelical theologian would read the story about Peter’s two swords, and say, “Peter had two swords,” so what?

It is this type of review of Scripture that makes all the difference. The Church Father would read “the two swords of Peter” and make the most profound observations, observations that would move nations and rile up armies just as Abraham, Moses and Joshua did before them. It is this connect between Old Testament and New Testament that has been lost through the reformers who in reality were no reformers at all. The Zohar, in its interpretation of Isaiah 53, points to the Messiah as well: “as it is written, ‘Surely our sicknesses he has carried.’” (Zohar II, 212a)

The early sages expected a Messiah to fulfill the Isaiah prophecy including being a “healer” “savior” and even “the Son of God,” which the Jews denied only later on, and just as Luther did, they entirely removed the Book of Wisdom from their “inspired” books. This is no minor issue. In Wisdom, Messiah is being delivered into the hands of his enemies to be killed. And while Isaiah 53 speaks of the suffering servant, this prophecy written way prior to the New Testament in Wisdom has the “Son of God” including His Passion all in a one-lump within the same context:

“For if the just one be the Son of God, he will defend him and deliver him from the hand of his foes. With revilement and torture let us put him to the test that we may have proof of his gentleness and try his patience. Let us [the Jews] condemn him to a shameful death; for according to his own words, God will take care of him.”— Wisdom 2:12-20

So besides a reference to a suffering servant in Isaiah 53, whom we debate constantly about with the Jew who then clings to the post Temple era interpretation, that the suffering servant was an allegory for “Israel,” here we have this suffering Messiah being “the Son of God” who will be tortured and killed.

No one, be it post-Temple rabbis to Luther, can deny or refute the essential need that we understand why God chose the Greek Septuagint which included Wisdom.

    With Luther, Wisdom departed.

It was this manuscript that included what the Jews later denied that the “Messiah” was no mere man, but “the Son of God” Who can be found sacrificed only in the Book of Wisdom. Now we understand who truly protected the meaning of “All Scripture” including the only Old Testament reference where in one solid verse, “the Son of God” is “condemned to death”.

Therefore, it must be conceded that it was not Luther who protected the Bible, and unlike the post-Temple Jews who also removed these crucial seven books, The God of the Jews, Who neither sleeps nor slumbers, reserved all this through His Church: the Catholic Church. This is why Eastern Orthodox and Catholics have these seven additional books, which were transmitted from the Jewish mindset that existed before the Temple was destroyed etching this theology into the wonderful Septuagint.

Do we then undermine all this for the sake of Luther and our denominational prejudices? God forbid, for I’d rather be a humble Uzziel than an Akiva who announced the wrong Messiah as a result of his pride.

And for a few cutting-edge examples, let us demonstrate this issue more closely. In Matthew 1:23, the pivotal prophecy of Isaiah 7:14 in the Septuagint it says that the “virgin” will conceive a child while in the Hebrew Masoretic text it is a “maiden”. The Septuagint therefore leaves no arguments open regarding the virgin birth. Jews prior to the Hebrew Masoretic text clearly understood that a virgin is to give birth to the Messiah of Israel who is the “Son of God”. It is these types of strange prophecies that show that God is sovereign. Imagine if the disciples used Luther’s favorite, the Hebrew Masoretic text, presuming that it was at hand in that time, and only had one verse in which it says “a maiden” gave birth, we could have a splinter cult that instead of having a Catholic-Protestant divide arguing over Mary’s sinlessness or her assumption to heaven, they would argue the central theme that Christ came as a result of a natural birth from a sexual union between Joseph and Mary.

This would be utter blasphemy. It is for this reason why when the Orthodox reference single words or single verses that a mountain of theology is rightfully extracted. So Mary being “full of grace” or that she will be “blessed throughout all generations,” that such phrases have monumental meanings.

Even the healing ministry of Christ and His message including the Gospel going to the Gentiles, it was the Greek Old Testament that set the runway which the Catholics used and the Protestants later rejected. For one example out of many, in Luke 4:18, Jesus quotes Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me to preach the gospel to the poor …” adding “recovering of sight to the blind,” which the Hebrew Masoretic text did not include in their text. Just this verse alone is monumental and since even the Protestant does not deny, that such short phrases are major, why then deny the Catholic and the Orthodox on their elaborate understanding regarding single verses?

As to insuring the Gentiles entry into the Kingdom, a very crucial aspect of Christian theology, in Acts 15:16-18, James the brother of Jesus quotes Amos 9:11-12 from the Jewish Septuagint, stating that other nations than Israel may seek the Lord, while the Masoretic Hebrew text says that the house of David (Israel), making it Israel centric, will possess the nations, entirely robbing the text of the meaning which James quoted.

In Romans 9:33, Paul quotes Isaiah 28:16 of the Jewish Septuagint calling Jesus the foundation stone which God lays in Zion, then, “whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” In contrast, Luther’s favorite, the Hebrew Masoretic text rendered the stone as a promise from God followed with, “one who trusts will not panic.”

The important lesson is this: Translation is interpretation. Therefore, the Septuagint is to that extent the earliest surviving witness of how Hellenistic Judaism understood Scripture; and therefore, it is a foundational text for studying the Judaism from which early Christianity arose. It is from here that the Messianic of today should bolt running from the Hebrew Roots Movement and look back to the blasphemers who deny Paul, the Trinity, and the use of the Greek. As Robert Hanhart notes, “the Septuagint cannot be bypassed if we want to conjure the Judaism from which Christianity grew.”

In Romans 10:15 Paul quotes Isaiah 52:7 of the Jewish Septuagint in which a messenger announces “the gospel” or “good news,” literally using the word “evangelion” while in the Masoretic it is simply “peace”.

“Evangelion,” or The Good News is the central issue of the faith as it was for the early Jews. Later in Romans 10:20, Paul returns to the Jewish Septuagint of Isaiah 65:1-2 where God is found by people who did not look for Him, the Gentiles, while the Hebrew Masoretic text only indicates God is ready for “Israel” to find Him. In Romans 15:11, Paul quotes the Jewish Septuagint of Deuteronomy 32:43:

“Be glad, O nations [none-Jews] with His people [the Jews], and let all the angels of God prevail for Him”.

The Hebrew Masoretic text, which Luther favored, completely omitted this sentence altogether. Even in the very next verse where Paul quotes the Jewish Septuagint from Isaiah 11:10 “the One who rises to rule” (The Messiah) is not in the Masoretic Hebrew Text.

In Romans 9:33 where Paul cites Isaiah 28:16, it speaks of God laying in Zion (Jerusalem) a precious cornerstone who is Christ the Messiah providing salvation to those who trust in him, and that the stone will also be a stumbling block that many will trip over (he uses the same ideas in Rom 11:9-12 and 1 Cor 1:23).

Even the first epistle of Peter, it had more Old Testament references per verse more than any other New Testament writing. When Peter emphasized on Psalm 33, not one of his references reflect the Hebrew Masoretic text, why?

I only quoted a few examples here of the mislabeling as “original” the later version of the Old Testament. Truth is, it was what the Catholics used was the closest to the original. It is crucial therefore, to note that the Septuagint Greek (which is Jewish) predates the other Jewish Masoretic Text (MT) by approximately one millennia. This is really old and is closest to the originals. While attempting to find the oldest texts is a good endeavor, the search for an “original text,” on which to ground one’s faith, is a distinctively modern worry and is in fact a major error to use as the prism from within which we decide theology. Jews compiled the Masoretic text several hundred years after they rejected Jesus. Regardless to what scholars argue (and they argue a lot), in contrast, Jews compiled the Septuagint prior to the arrival of Jesus, therefore bearing no bias against the prophecies concerning Him. And so now you understand, from ancient godly Rabbis to the true use of Scripture, the haters of truth wanted to coverup the truth to keep you blind.

And we ask yet another Jesus style question: “Did God know” or “did God not know” what He was doing when He penned the New Testament through the early church as He protected the Old Testament from the textual corruption by Jesus haters? The question then is: why do so many in both the Protestant and the Messianic circles disagree with the original Church?

All this means that the Greek (not Hebrew) Septuagint either reveals an older version of the Old Testament or a clearer explanation of how we ought to understand the message which the New Testament Greek set the record straight.

Therefore, a pursuit of the “original text” or an “exact text” is therefore not necessary since such pursuit is the futility of Muslims and not Christians. We do not worship a text and it is God Who directs His Body (the Church,) the very body of Christ that wrote the Bible by the Church, for the Church, and not vise versa. Let me remind what God (not what man) ordained, that it was the “Church” that decided on:

“how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church [not the text] of the living God is the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Tim 3:15).

And as it was, as Jesus clarified, that the Sabbath was designed for man, and not man for Sabbath, the Bible is designed by the Church, for the Church, and not the Church for the Bible. Therefore, it is the original Church that designs how the building fits the blueprint which is the Bible, while the building on that blueprint is Christ’s body which directed the hands of men. Period.

While many will argue this point ad nauseam, one needs to think of Calvin’s Systematic Theology and ask: which is the blueprint, the Bible or Calvin’s flowcharts on Systematic Theology? Therefore, we must understand that we must view history correctly and differentiate true Jews from the synagogue of Satan who wanted nothing more than to coverup the truth. In the book of Revelation, Christ refers to the unbelieving Jews of the time as the ‘synagogue of Satan’ on account of their lies and coverups:

“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan” (Revelation 2:9, NKJV).

While Jesus was addressing current events of His time, this is also prophetic. Such are the adherents of the Hebrew Roots Movement. One must ask: was Jesus anti-Semitic for calling such Jews a “synagogue of Satan”? This is also confirmed in Revelation 3:8-9 where He says:

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie–indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you” (Revelation 3:8-9, NKJV).

And what do we see today come out of the Hebrew Roots Movement?
