Mia Khalifa is the world’s most popular porn star, and she recently caused a controversy over her superimposing her face over that of the Blessed Virgin:
Porn star Mia Khalifa has caused outrage by posting an image of her face superimposed on the body of the Virgin Mary.
The 24-year-old was joking about how some people mistook a photo of Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai for her last week.
She captioned the Instagram photo: ‘When a news outlet mistakes Malala for Mia Khalifa’.
Many were offended by her comparing herself to the mother of Jesus Christ, calling her a ‘disgrace’ and saying ‘I hope you rot in hell’.
One wrote: ‘Not gonna lie I’m not easily offended but this struck a nerve even if it was a joke I didn’t find it funny.
One person with a strange moral stance commented: ‘After this act I will never look at your videos anymore’.
Another added: ‘She’s a porn star, as if she has morals to begin with?’
One commenter on Instagram said the star was living ‘In an alternate universe,’ and another said: ‘Oh, the narcissism, it’s almost admirable’.
But Khalifa’s fans remained loyal. One wrote: ‘God bless u we love u from Lebanon.’
The post comes after Nobel Prize winner Malala, 20, was trolled online by Muslims offended that she wore skinny jeans, ankle boots and a bomber jacket while in her first week at Oxford University.
But some viewers mistook the photo for Khalifa, a Lebanese American who was once the most popular star on Pornhub.com. (source)
Who really cares about what some disgusting prostitute thinks anyways? Nobody needs to, but it is what people do in response to her actions that is more telling.
Throughout the world, there is frequently news coming from Muslim nations about how Muslims will attack, murder, and burn if even a mere allegation that somebody said or did something to a Koran or the name of Mohammed, the false prophet. Certainly some of these riots are instigated, and some people are just looking for an excuse to riot and burn cars or just be generally destructive. However, what one cannot underemphasize that that many of the people who participate in making threats, burning images of the accused blasphemers, or going on these destructive rampages do so out of a genuine piety because they are mad that their religion was attacked. This is a consistent pattern throughout the Muslim world, and as anybody who knows about Islam knows that Islam not just gives license to violence, but also must note that people in Muslim countries for the most part actually believe in their religion. Their anger and willingness to fight for Islam and their willingness to die for Islam means that they choose to live for Islam.
A similar pattern can be found in parts of the world where Christianity is growing or practiced by a great number of people, with one of the best examples being in sub-Saharan Africa. While there are many wars in which religion is used as a justification for indulging violence, and while there are many people who practice forms of Christianity as simply and extension of paganism, there are many Christians who are willing to fight and die for Christ because as they universally admit, they want to live for Christ.
Flashed of this same zeal can be seen in parts of Eastern Europe, for while they are much paler by comparison, they still exist. Examples are not just when Catholics in Poland gather by the millions to pray the rosary, but how both Catholic and Orthodox alike will attack people who insult Christ publicly. The do this because as they say, such people are insulting God and are committing grave evils, and they too acknowledge that the society lives for Christ and they will die for Christ, and as such they must fight for Christ when it is necessary.
But what is to be said of the people of Western Europe and for the most part, America, who look upon people such as these as though they are savages in need of “evolution”?
Christianity has been in decline in the Western world since the Protestant Revolution, for as we have maintained, the Protestant revolution was the absolute fracturing of Christianity into a series of congregations whose identity was bound up with and subject to the popular definition of nationalist movement and the concept of the modern nation. No longer being the buffer between the government and the governed, the Protestant church became the willing standard-bearer for the government policy of the particular time a place, and a man’s obedience to God was shown through his citizenship in the state. This naturally deteriorated to such a point that the government has since replaced the church because if one is a good citizen by civil standards, what role is the church other than club one can associate with or not if one chooses? This process, which began centuries ago, blossomed in the latter half of the 20th century in the manifest changes that have taken place since then- the changes did not start then, but simply became clearly visible at this time. The rendering asunder of the last vestiges of Christianity was made complete, and summarized in the John Lennon’s famous song, Imagine:
The idea of creating a perfect world, one without God in which man would be the master of his own destiny, has still persisted in society. Instead of living a life for Christ, man was now to live a comfortable life in which there would be, as Lennon notes ‘nothing to kill or die for, a brotherhood of man.’
So I return to the original situation posed by the examples from the Muslim, Christian African, and to a lesser extent Christian eastern European worlds. In these places, which are in many ways looked at as backwards and ‘unevolved’ the people are very religious and will fight and die for their religion because that is what they live for. In these nations, making crass insults against Mohammed, Jesus, or the Blessed Virgin will get you attacked, jailed, and possibly murdered.
So what will get you attacked, jailed, and possibly murdered in the Western world? Certainly not insulting God or religion, but rather standing against those who insult God or religion will get you in personal and legal trouble.
If you criticize the LGBT, in many ‘Western’ nations you can be jailed or fined. You will certainly be attacked.
If you stand against the baby murderers you will absolutely be attacked and the police will side with the attacker many times.
If you preach Christianity on the streets you will be ignored, mocked and insulted.
If you “disrespect” the American flag, you won’t get arrested on the coasts, but in the south, midwest, or western areas you will likely be attacked or jailed.
Do you see the pattern here?
In the ‘savage’ nations of the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Eastern Europe, people fight over upholding the honor due to God and His religion.
In the ‘civilized’ nations of Western Europe and America, and parts of Eastern Europe and other areas in the world, people fight over promoting sodomy, infanticide, nationalism, and satanism.
Even with this disgusting prostitute, yes there are people who have criticized her, but is she in fear for what she has said? Will she issue a public apology or take the picture down (you can still view it on her Instagram right here)? Will she be forced into abandoning her vile ‘career’ choice and go into hiding?
What I speak of here is a general principle based on public reactions. She will not take down that photo, and there will be absolutely no consequence for her actions because people in the West don’t care and she knows it.
In the Bible, Jesus says that ‘where your treasure is, so also your heart it.’ The treasure of a great many of the people in the West is not in their honor as people saved by God through His grace (which is the real treasure that anybody can have), but their treasure is in material possessions and the defense of their ideas of what is deemed sacred by the secular culture. They will take to the streets to defend a sodomite or pedophile, or the American flag or the concept of libertine speech, but they will not take to uphold the honor of God, who made all peoples.
So who is the real savage then?
