According to a story coming out of Canada, a Christian pastor was issued a nationwide arrest warrant for his preaching against homosexuality at a gay pride parade in 2016.
Full disclosure, I don’t believe the approach the pastor had was the best. The pastor registered himself as a group in a gay pride parade with a group and then during the parade handing out information about STDs and preaching against homosexuality. You can read the story below.
The reason this story is important is because it is about principles.
There is no such thing in modern times as “persecution” of “gays” as is claimed, especially as 75%+ of the entire US population (and surely the same or higher) all support homosexuality and of that, a majority of people (75%+ for Millennials and Generation Z) support homosexual “marriage.” Homosexuals are discriminated in favor in society to the detriment and derogation of heterosexuals, and if a heterosexual should so much as express even the mere disagreement with homosexuality or homosexual unions (assuming he supports homosexuality), he could find himself socially ostracized, fired from his job for “discrimination,” and in some areas face “hate crime” charges.
When was the last time a person was arrested or fired from his job for “blaspheming Christianity” that was in the news? The few cases that are usually take place in strictly religious contexts in light of a serious infraction of Christian moral values, such as a teacher being fired because he decides to “come out” as a homosexual and announce that he is “marrying” another man.
This is the only time that one will hear this. One rarely ever hears of any complaints of “discrimination” in an office or otherwise called “secular” settings because to criticize Christianity or express anti-Christian sentiments is expected and regarded as “normal” behavior in America today.
Homosexuals have become a protected and entrenched class in American and “western” society. Since homosexuality is unreconcilable with Christian teaching, as “homosexual rights” have increased so has Christianity become an increasingly persecuted religion.
The pastor in this story, Bill Whatcott, was severely persecuted for his criticism of homosexuality. If this was homosexual who did the same but in a “Christian” parade, the homosexual would likely receive no more than a fine or a low-division charge for breach of peace. Mr. Whatcott is having the full force of Canadian law pressed upon him. It is being done to send a message, which in accordance with the purpose of homosexuality being not an act of genitive love but domination and power, is to “crush” the man to demonstrate the power of the LGBT lobby.
George Orwell once said that he saw the future as “a boot stomping on a human face, forever.” Yet he forgot to mention the color of those boots, which are neon pink:
Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant on charges of inciting hatred for a Christian who handed out flyers at the 2016 Toronto Pride Parade warning of the spiritual and biological dangers of sodomy.
Bill Whatcott announced on the Free North America portal he intends to turn himself in to the Calgary police on Friday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m.
Toronto 51 Division is charging Whatcott with the indictable offence of inciting hatred under Section 391 of Canada’s Criminal Code.
“The ‘crime’? My ministry bringing the Gospel and the truth about homosexuality to Toronto’s homosexual pride parade in 2016,” Whatcott wrote on Free North America.
Constable Caroline de Kloet, media relations officer for Toronto Police Service, said the charges arose from a two-year investigation into a complaint the police received in 2016, but that police don’t give out “victim information.”
The Toronto police were in contact the federal attorney general on the case, as is the procedure with hate crimes, she told LifeSiteNews. “It’s not something we lay on a regular basis.”
Whatcott registered in the 2016 Pride parade under the pseudonym Robert Clinton on behalf of the Gay Zombies Cannabis Consumers Association.
Dressed in skin-tight green bodysuits with face masks, Whatcott and five others marched in the parade and handed out 3,000 packages on “Zombie Safe Sex” that included a flyer entitled: “We want you to practice safe sex.”
