Democrats Are Now Calling On Trump To Deport Migrants

By Theodore Shoebat

Democrats are now backing the Trump administration’s policy of deporting migrants to Mexico. Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, alongside Senator Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Doug Jones, D-Ala, have joined forces to support the deportation of migrants who supposedly don’t have valid asylum claims. These Democrat senators are in fact pushing the Trump administration to implement the policy, known as Operation Safe Return. The policy allows for DHS to deport migrant family units if they don’t fit the “credible fear”  criteria to claim for asylum. On the policy, Sinema said:

“This pilot program would apply to families who aren’t claiming ‘credible fear,’ which of course is the first threshold in seeking asylum … If someone says ‘I left my country because I can’t make a living,’ (or) ‘it’s hard to take care of my family’ — that’s what we call an economic migrant.”

One thing that this indicates is that immigration is such a high point of contention that Democrats even know that they have to appear “tough” on the border to appease voters. A very similar thing happened recently in Denmark where the Social Democrats had to use Right-wing language regarding immigration to gain a victory. The popular Danish People’s Party was focusing on immigration, and the Leftist Social Democrats took this strategy to dominate the election. Oliver Stilling, editor-in-chief of the Danish political magazine Foljeton, said:

“The centre-right government with support from the Danish People’s Party has pushed Denmark’s immigration policies to the edge of international conventions, and even the Social Democrats have adopted their stance on immigration”

Immigration is such an intense political subject, and there is so much polarization over it, and at the same time animosity towards lenient immigration policy has become so popular, people who would be considered “Left” are having to use rhetoric that would appease such crowd to get a substantial amount of the votes.

Do not be surprised to see, in the future, a Democrat becoming president with a tough on immigration platform. These are indeed the very people who have no scruples having most abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods.
