When “Dr. Trump” floated the idea of consuming hydroxychlorquine, people rushed to think of it as a kind of solution, for people are looking to Trump as a sort of savior who knows what is best for them.
After a recent statement this morning where Trump suggested that one might want to inject disinfectants into the body to stop COVID-19, medical doctors have decried the statement as “dangerous” and “idiotic” according to ThompsonReuters, which has also warned people against the practice.
Doctors and health experts urged people not to drink or inject disinfectant on Friday after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested scientists should investigate inserting the cleaning agent into the body as a way to cure COVID-19.
“This is one of the most dangerous and idiotic suggestions made so far in how one might actually treat COVID-19,” said Paul Hunter, a professor of medicine at Britain’s University of East Anglia. He said injecting disinfectants would likely kill anyone who tried it.
“It is hugely irresponsible because, sadly, there are people around the world who might believe this sort of nonsense and try it out for themselves,” he told Reuters.
Trump said at his daily media briefing on Thursday that scientists should explore whether inserting light or disinfectant into the bodies of people infected with the new coronavirus might help them clear the disease.
“Is there a way we can do something like that by injection, inside, or almost a cleaning?” he said. “It would be interesting to check that.”
The White House said on Friday that Trump had been taken out of context and had urged people to seek coronavirus treatment only after conferring with their doctors. (source)

Trump is not saying “kill yourself with disinfectants to stop the virus”. However, his words are not clear, and to many people, especially the simple who just believe and do not think, the lack of clarity is very dangerous.
It is not a surprise why Biden was chosen to be the Democrat nominee, because Trump’s statements and job as a president is so questionable that only a person with literal dementia could be the one who he could lose to. Bernie could have easily defeated Trump simply because Trump’s four years of trolling do not compensate for the lack of substantial actions from him and his major abandonment of fundamental political promises.
So please do not drink bleach, Lysol, or other disinfectants.
Likewise, one can be sure that if a man on the “left” made a similar statement- which would be just as dangerous and idiotic as before -one should note that they would be rightly criticized too.
The issue is not about party, but about principle, which neither side has.
As much as I do not like Clinton, to her credit, she seems to have the most politically savvy response to this statement from Trump.
