The Catholic Church In Germany Officially Accepts Gay Marriage

The Catholic Church in Germany has become a part of Sodom, officially accepting gay marriage. As we read in Zeit:

According to his own statements, Munich Cardinal Reinhard Marx can certainly imagine blessing homosexual couples himself. “Why not?” he said in an interview with the Münchner Merkur when asked whether he would bless a homosexual couple. “It always depends on the respective situation. If people ask me for a blessing, then I will do that,” said the Archbishop of Munich and Freising.

Blessing ceremonies for homosexual couples are already practiced in many communities today, but they take place in a gray area under canon law. The Vatican made it clear in 2021 that it was “not permitted” to bless homosexual partnerships because such unions “cannot be recognized as objectively aligned with the revealed plans of God.”

However, the approval of blessing ceremonies for same-sex couples was a main demand for the German Synodal Path reform process and was decided by the Synodal Assembly in March. The celebrations should now be introduced “promptly”.

The case of a priest from Mettmann near Düsseldorf who held a blessing ceremony for lovers – including homosexual couples – and was reprimanded for it by the Archdiocese of Cologne under the ultra-conservative Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki recently caused a wave of indignation . In protest against Woelki, several Catholic priests want to hold a blessing ceremony for same-sex couples in front of Cologne Cathedral on September 20th.

CNA wrote about the approval of sodomite marriage in the Catholic Church in Germany:

Titled “Blessing ceremonies for couples who love each other,” the measure was opposed by only nine of 58 bishops, while 11 bishops abstained. If the 11 abstaining bishops had joined in opposing the measure, it would have failed to reach the required two-thirds support of the bishops.

The resolution to provide Church blessings to same-sex sexual unions passed on Friday afternoon. Titled “Blessing ceremonies for couples who love each other,” the measure was opposed by only nine of 58 bishops, while 11 bishops abstained. If the 11 abstaining bishops had joined in opposing the measure, it would have failed to reach the required two-thirds support of the bishops.

In fact, several other delegates did call for sacramental marriage for same-sex unions. Gregor Podschun, the president of the League of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ), an official Church group that supports women’s ordination, gay marriage, and abortion access, said that blessings of same-sex unions were “a minimum” and that “we need [sacramental] marriage for everyone.”

Bishop Johan Bonny of Antwerp, Belgium, also spoke to the synodal assembly as a distinguished guest. Bonny and the other Flemish bishops of Belgium introduced a blessing of same-sex couples in September 2022. The Antwerp bishop told the synodal delegates that during the Belgian bishops ad limina visit in November 2022, Pope Francis had neither approved nor denied the blessing but said it was the pastoral domain of the Flemish bishops so long as they were all united.

This is another reason why I say that the Church is entering the realm of Sodom:
