U.S. Closes Embassy in Yemen Five Months After Obama Touted U.S. Success in That Country While Also Saying, ‘ISIL is Not Islamic’

Reality continues to remain at odds with what the Obama administration and State Department is telling the American people. The Latest example comes courtesy of Yemen. Five months after Barack Obama touted U.S. success in Yemen while telling the American people that ‘ISIL is not Islamic’, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen is being closed (h/t GWP):

Many of us saw the closure of this Embassy inevitable after the coup that took place there last month. As was the case then as well, the Obama administration sent out messages that the coup would not affect operations at the Embassy, as Shoebat.com reported.

Last July, the Obama administration closed the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, Libya saying only that the personnel had been “temporarily relocated” out of Libya. That Embassy as well as the U.S. Embassy in Damascus remain closed.

Of course, the infamous September 10, 2014 speech from Barack Obama includes the classic ‘ISIL is not Islamic’ quote and something about Yemen being an American success story. To be fair, the coup in Yemen was carried out by Iranian-backed Houthis so when Obama talked about taking out al-Qaeda leadership in Yemen, he’ll probably stand by the assertion:
