By BI:  On July 17, the Empire State Building lit up in bright green for Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday that marks the end of the monthlong Ramadan. The commemoration was seen as honoring the people behind the slaughter of five U.S. service members shot and killed in Chattanooga, Tennessee the day before by a devout Muslim, Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez.

The ill-timed lighting also coincided with Barack Hussein Obama’s ill-timed celebratory Ramadan greeting to all Muslims

MIC  The widespread negative reactions on Twitter were fast and furious. In a linked article, a writer posits that “Ramadan is the most violent month of the year in the Islamic world, because Ramadan is the month in which Muslims renew their devotion to Allah, and violent jihad is a supreme act of devotion to Allah.” He is apparently referring to the Islamic State group’s calls for attacks during Ramadan.  

While it’s perhaps to be expected that so-called “Islamophobia” has a significant venue on Twitter, anti-Muslim hatred is also seem to be on the rise throughout the country. Polling by the Arab American Institute has found declining percentages of Americans have favorable attitudes towards Arabs or Muslims, the latter of whom declined from 36% favorability in 2010 to 27% in 2014.

And now that Barack Hussein Obama is flooding America with Muslim so-called “refugees” from North Africa and the Middle East, those anti-Muslim numbers are expected to soar. The 2010 census put the Muslim population in America at approx. 2.6 million. Obama is expected to add 6.2 million more Muslims before he leaves office.
