Muslims Force Christians To Pay $450 Tax If They Want To Live

By Theodore Shoebat

Muslims in Iraq, members of ISIS, are now forcing Christians to pay a $450 tax, with refusal to pay being the death penalty. The Muslim injunction is part of the initial command from ISIS that stated:

After informing the heads of the Christians and their followers regarding the date of meeting to reveal to them what their conditions will be after the succession of the Caliphate in the state of Nineveh they turned away and failed to come on time. What was decided for them was the offer of three things: 1 – Islam. 2 – The Dhimmi Covenant (which is taking tribute from them). 3 – If they refuse, they have no other alternative but the edge of the sword [beheading]. The Commander of the Faithful of the Caliph Ibrahim _ noblest of God _ has bestowed upon them to evacuate themselves only from the borders of the State of the Caliphate on Saturday, 21 September 1435 A.H at twelve o’clock noon, and after this date there is nothing more left between us and them but the sword. (Glory be to God, His Prophet and the believers, but the hypocrites know not)

A report on the $450 tax states:

Following the exodus of Mosul’s Christian community as a result of threats by the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS), on Monday the Sunni insurgents declared that Christians could remain in or return provided they pay US$450 per person.

ISIS’s leader in Mosul released a statement stating that the Christians that have left the city can return if the agree to pay IQD 550,000 ($450) to ISIS.

On July 18, ISIS warned Christians in Mosul to leave the city by July 19 at 12pm or face death.

On Friday, a large number of Christians began to evacuate the city as a result of the threats. Signs branding their homes as ‘Christian homes’ were found throughout the city.

According to information obtained by BasNews, since ISIS tool control of Mosul, about 4,500 Christians has left the city and only about 200 of them remain under ISIS control.
