State Dept Official Accused of Collaborating with Muslim Brotherhood is ID’d as Person with Knowledge About Why US was in Benghazi

On today’s BARRACK-AST…

In 2011, while crying on 60 Minutes, Boehner all but admitted that he was turning his back on America. The video is familiar from the standpoint of his crying but it’s what he said that is often overlooked.

After the overthrow of Mohammed Mursi as President of Egypt in 2013, the two Americans perhaps most despised by Egyptians who demanded Mursi’s removal were Barack Obama and then U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson. Both were seen as having enabled and collaborated with Mursi.

This week in sworn congressional testimony, Patterson was identified by a State Department official as the person who would be able to explain to the House Select Committee on Benghazi why the U.S. was in Libya at the time of the Benghazi attacks.

As the mainstream media – and much of conservative media – focuses on the CIA report on torture exclusively, the second House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing took place without much notice. There was one extremely powerful moment in the hearing when Chairman Gowdy asked Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security Gregory Starr who Gowdy could talk to in order to determine why the U.S. was in Benghazi despite multiple terrorist attacks against U.S. interests in the region. Shockingly, Starr pointed Gowdy to Patterson who was the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt at the time of the Benghazi attacks.

This is significant, especially in light of the Egyptian connection to those attacks.

On Decemer 15th, the case of one of the actresses in the Innocence of Muslims video that the Obama administration attempted to blame for the Benghazi attacks. Cindy Lee Garcia is suing Google and the filmmaker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, claiming that she has a copyright claim on her appearance in the video and that she was deceived and defrauded.
