Bl. Lucia dos Santos as a child
Bl. Lucia dos Santos, one of the visionaries of Our Lady of Fatima, said that in the end times, the final battle will be over marriage and the family. We are seeing this play out today with the broken state of man-woman relationships, divorce on a never before seen scale, broken families, the destruction of the institution of marriage, the sanctification of homosexuality, and the legitimization of all forms of sexual perversity. The stage is being set right now for a great battle that will soon break upon us.
Indeed, the signs of this build up have been happening for at least several centuries now, beginning with the sexual revolution that, contrary to how it is presented, has actually undergone so far two stages. The first stage of the sexual revolution began during the late 18th and early 19th centuries and continued through the early 20th century. This part of the revolution was not so much about actual sexual activity, but its goal was (and which it eventually realized) was the acknowledgment that sexual behavior was not contingent upon morality, and specifically Christian morality. The goal was the acceptance of the idea that sexual morality could be defined in terms of human will. The reasons used to justify this were many, such as how different (non-Christian, of course) religions have different approaches to sexual behavior, or how morality is a matter of personal decision making, or how people simply should not interfere in people’s lives if, as many have said “they aren’t bothering anybody else.” However, This separation of morals from actions was critical because in order to break down the purpose of sexuality, it had to be fully established in the public mind as a “fact” that sexuality was not rooted in the transcient, but rather in the material and changeable. This reduces the act to something which, having no purpose greater than that which man embues it with, allows for it to be corrupted.
The second stage of the sexual revolution came much quicker, and is the one which people associate in the popular mind with the “sexual Revolution.” This was the separation of the sexual act from conception. The sexual act, as the Catholic Church teaches, possesses a dual nature- it is first genitive by opening the possibility for the transmission of new life, and is is secondarily unitive, which bonds a man and woman together. The was this separation happened again began with the introduction of contraceptive devices at the end of the 19th century, but culminated in the creation of the “birth control pill.” For the first time, women could choose to take a medicine over which they would have, theoretically, complete control over their fertility, making them “masters of their own destination.” Conception now happened when they could choose, and by adding the element of choice in, the purpose of sexuality moved from being primarily a means for generating new life that was also enjoyable into something that was done for the sake of enjoyment itself.
This change was particularly dangerous, and it brought with it a natural wave of evils that manifested during the 1970s. Abortion was the first of these, since if conception was a choice, then naturally so were the products of conception just as much a choice that could be kept or discarded at will. Since sexuality became primarily about pleasure, then naturally the pursuit of pleasure was its end, and so the idea of “whatever makes you happy” came to define sex. As the Faith teaches than men’s hearts are inclined to sin and it is by Christian morality and striving for perfection that they are made right, the sexual revolution said that one should give in to one’s passions and follow them as an end into themselves, which naturally leads to sin and perversity. It is not a surprise why pornography appeared in the public realm almost immediately after sexual license was established. Porn had always existed, but as something acknowledged that existed but was kept quiet and in control because porn is, essentially, a hedonistic activity as it pursues pleasure for the sake of pleasure. Since the philosophy that supports the creation of pornographic material was now given social preference and to the detriment of Christian morality, it was only natural that it would emerge in full force in public.
This lead to another major change that took place from this was the potential for the acceptance of homosexuality. Again, following the same logic, if sexual pleasure can be pursued as an end unto itself, then the only wrong would be obstructing that which brings a man pleasure, especially if it is, as many people say “mutually consenting.” This can include not only normal heterosexual relations, but also deviant relations. If it can include deviant relations between men and women, it logically opened another door, which we are seeing get opened even further today- why not men and men, or women and women? Animals? Children? Ultimately, there is no low too low to which one can go because, they would argue, it is not a “low” if it makes you “high.”
Never before in human history has their been such an explosion of infanticide, broken families, broken people, and sexual perversity in all forms. This is not to say that the nature of evil has changed, but that the same evils committed in the past were often confined to small groups in specific areas at isolated times in history. On account of modern techonology, interconnectivity, media, and transportation, these same perversities of old were able to be propagated more effectively to more people more quickly more times.
If you do not believe this, which it is almost impossible to deny, look at how the pornography industry has changed over the last 50 years. 50 years ago and prior, pornography in both terms of photos and videos was difficult to come by, and for the most part included normal heterosexual relations as the most “hardcore” porn, with most of the porn being considered not even something we would say is “softcore” today. An example of this would be burlesque dancing, such as the infamous “Bettie Page” of the 1950s.
“The Infamous” Bettie Page. Her videos of burlesque dancing and light bondage with other women were considered highly “risque” during the 1950s, yet today would be considered very tame.
Again, this is not to say there was not “hardcore” porn of the terribly violent, disgusting type during this time- it existed, but in many areas it was not only illegal and punishable with severe penalties, but it was simply not easily available. You had to be very involved in it and “know somebody” to get it, and even that took a lot of work and risks.
But comparing Bettie Page with “softcore” and normal heterosexual relations with “hardcore” today is a joke. The pornography industry, because it has become so widespread and influential, has experienced two major changes. First, is that pornography has become VERY genre specific. This was natural and expected, since as porn is meant to suit the individual “tastes” of a person, then the more one consumes the more one not only wants more of a specific “thing” to satisfy himself, but also the more one needs to stay “satisfied.” If you go to any major porn website today, you will find nearly hundreds of specific categories catering that like a menu at the IHOP, you can choose from a of different sexual perversions, and you can mix-and-match as well.
Since porn is the pursuit of pleasure for the sake of pleasure, it functions identical to a drug. Anybody who has used or been around drug users knows that if you use drugs for too long, you need more and heavier drugs to get the same high that you once had. The same effect replicates in porn, except you need more and stronger perversions to satisfy the self. This not only accounts for the specialization in porn today, but also for the explosive growth in violent and evil forms of porn that degrade both men and women in truly horrble ways that have become so common that they are literally expected. For instance, in almost all “heterosexual” porn today, anal sex is a pre-requirement, when in the past it was considered extreme beyond extreme. It just gets worse from there, since practices that originally began in homosexual circles have gone mainstream heterosexual. These include “ATM” (whereby a man sodomizes a woman and she immediately fellates his unwashed member after the act), Romanesque-style group sex (whereby a woman is penetrated and masturbated upon by anywhere from 2 to 10 (or more) men at the same time), and “abuse porn,” where a woman is slapped, spit on, and usually forced to vomit on the “actor’s” member and then made to roll in the vomit while often being sodomized.
This are things, I add, that are veritably NORMAL in porn today and do not describe the more extreme things that, while not always completely accepted, are quietly accepted in the same way that the “hardcore” of the 1950s was in private.
Lisa Hansen, a.k.a. “Lisa Sparxxx,” who is representative of the changes in the porn industry. This woman holds the world record for most sexual partners in a day (919), and was on the “cutting edge” of the pornography industry’s evolution over the last 15 years, participating in all of the above described perverse activities and many more.
But as is expected, and as the pornography industry has been reporting, this growth in “extreme porn” and extreme specialization has started to cannibalize itself. Since porn is based on fantasy and not reality, that is where it makes its money, and it has been so effective in conveying fantasy to its consumers and to such an extent that it is literally becoming impossible to keep up with the demands on a human level because people are people and there are limits. Simply put, people are more than just toys for having sex with. They have personalities, physical limitations, and the ability to say no because no matter how tarnished a man or woman is, we all still possess a free will and the ability to make our own choices. Fantasy can only go so far because it always retains a root to reality. This is where the porn industry has faced its greatest and unsolvable challenge, for the more extreme the porn is the quicker the “performers” wear out of performing, and while there is a never-before-seen supply of young women who want a “career” in porn, at the same time there has never been so high of a turnover rate for the “industry.”
Rachel Oberlin, a.k.a. “Bree Olson.” Once one of Charlie Sheen’s girlfriends, she promoted and participated in some of the most vile types of pornography produced today. Her story has a dual side to it, as she represents both the evil and damaging things that modern sexual liberation promotes and does to women as well as the desire, as with her, of many women who choose to enter the industry and then are upset with the consequences that come after that they bring on themselves.
If one takes a solely “business” standpoint, how do you reduce this turnover in the industry? You cannot keep adding new women, because that strategy is failing, yet the demand for specialized and extreme porn is not decreasing, but increasing.
This is where there lies the answer, and also the third stage of the sexual revolution that is about to break upon up.
The first stage said that morality and sexuality could be separated. The second stage said that conception and pleasure could be separated from sex. The third stage will go a step further and say that sex is the self-realiztion of the deepest desires of the will as a man wills. It will be the death of the family and normal conjugal relations forever. It will forever redefine the meaning of sex and sexuality. It will be so great that it was already discussed by science fiction novels, and that the only way to fight it will be by a difficult, continual choice made on the basis of Christian morality, pitting man against the world.
This third stage is the rise of the sex robot.
As much as this scene from the 1997 film Austin Powers is a joke of the spy films of the 1960’s, the idea here is representative of the effect that sex robots will have on society- they will be as attractive to their users as they are lethal to the family and souls of individuals.
“Sex dolls” are nothing new throughout history. People, especially men (but also women) have masturbated with sexual proxies onto which to project their fantasies since time immemorial. Sex dolls are sold today everywhere, including on Amazon. They range in price and type, from the stereotypical “blow up doll” that high school students and college graduates throw around in an audience for fun to very expensive, truly beautifully crafted sculptures with carefully-designed anatomy intended to maximize pleasure and are truly small works of art and crafstmanship. The issue with sex robots as opposed to sex dolls is the blending of artificial intelligence with a sex doll. While a robot is never a “human” in that it cannot have a soul (and thus can never be a human), it is enough for a machine to imitate human behavior with such precision that one would mistake it for a real person. That is where the “humanization” of a machine takes place, for if a man cannot distinguish a machine from a man, he will start to treat the machine as though it were another person and may even come to think of it as a person when it truly is not.
The sterotypical “blow up doll” students throw around in crowds at graduation on the left, versus a quality “sex doll” on the right that looks so realistic it could be mistaken for being human. The high-quality dolls are decreasing in price rapidly, and the next step with this is naturally their integration with A.I.
The effects of this humanization have major implications, and manufactures are quickly looking to integrate and improve upon this technology in order to make more money. Recently, the New York Times profiled Matthew McMullen and his company, Real Doll, which is the largest and most popular sex doll company in the world. McMullen describes his dolls as “companions,” and in the interview he did with the NYT, he describes a time when sex dolls will not just become tools solely for masturbation, but something that is mistaken for a human being and with which people can form emotional attachments and relationships in the same way they would with a human.
This report was produced last year, but it is an excellent documentary into the future of what is coming. What you are watching is literally the process of divorcing human beings from attachment to each other and, as a result the complete destruction of the family.
There are some people who are looking forward to the changes that sex robots will bring, because given the current developments and trajectory for the future, which will take some time to realize in a more complete fashion (and this is with everything- after all, a computer from 1995 is very different from a 2015 model), but when it is reached it will redefine the nature of sexual relations in ways that have never been reached before.
Picture this for the future- you walk into a brothel in the future, and as predicted, there will be no women there. Prostitution in the traditional sex will have been completely eliminated, and robots will be the proxy now. Continual developments in polymer and AI technology have now made female robots almost completely indistinguishable from humans. You can choose any one or number of men or women in all different colors, shapes, and sizes, all with personalities that can be changed, to satisfy any of your deepest, most unspoken “desires.”
But moving beyond desire, as mentioned above, sex robots will become life companions that people will interact with, form relationships with, and even get married to. Marriage itself will be redefined by the governments to include robots, such as in the awful move A.I.. Sex robots will eventually cease to be referred to as “sex robots” and referred to as “life companions,” and with enough time, they will be referred to as people and given human rights and treated as men are, which will have another effect even more long reaching, since it will allow for the definition of “humanity” to be re-defined by the government.
This story, originally produced by TLC in 2007, shows the danger of the sex doll. While this “relationship” is unnatural, expect it to become commonplace in the future.
As you can see, there are many, many, dangerous problems this will cause, but I would like to focus on one simple, “small” problem that will be faced as soon as sex robots become popularized and is already happening right now, as much of what I described are the consequences that will stem from these robots. The simple issue, the seed out of which this evil weed will grow, is that the sex robot does what the pill did but pre-intercourse. A person does not need to already be with another person, who they are attracted to and have developed a natural relationship with, and take a drug in order to avoid conception, but rather a person creates his own living an inherently sterile fantasy upon which he can project his desires so that the question of conception is never even an issue because it never had the chance to become one.
This action completely removes both the genitive and unitive aspects of sexuality from sex. The person having sex with the robot has created this robot in order to accommodate to and more perfectly project his desires upon. As mentioned above, conception never was an issue because robots cannot breed. If the robot then becomes the “perfect fantasy,” which of course can be substituted later with a different robot if it is desired, then there is never a reason to take the time to build a relationship with another real person who has emotions, good and bad days, and natural complexities that while difficult at times are part of our created nature as God made us, and instead we create our own reality by paying money to a factory.
This is an incredibly dangerous road. If fertility rates are low right now, the sex robot will cause, worldwide, and absolute fertility collapse in all peoples, since sex affects all men regardles of race or place. Women will find themselves competing with a fantasy found in a machine to realize the unattainable, which is the perfect form. Men will to the same, pursuing the perfect vision of their pleasure, and for every woman that there may be, a better robot can be made to replace her.
Remember how in the West corporations outsource work to third world nations and destroy their local economy while benefiting a few? This is the outsourcing of sexuality to robots, thereby collapsing male-female relationships and creating a dystopic world in which pleasure is the rule and families are the rarity since people would rather pursue their fantasy through sex rather than use sex for its created purpose.Families will exist by choice, not by natural events. It will further isolate and again, make marriage something done by choice, not natural action. It will destroy the conception men and women have of each other by offering them a pleasure they cannot naturally have easily and everywhere, thus making human sex boring. Machine sex will pervert the very institution of sex itself and immerse mankind in an ocean of sterile hedonism. The sex robot will be worse than the scourge of homosexuality, because it will even obviate the current state of homosexual relations, since now instead of exposing oneself to disease a sodomite can give himself a personal harem of robots that he can sodomize and be sodomized by without the risk of disease or the trouble of a relationship with another men (and for those who know gay men, which often end bitter or violently).
God is the author of sex. God says in the Bible “be fruitful and multiply.” God made sex- He made it good, and He is the author of sexual pleasure. God is pro-sex. He is also pro-children and pro-family, which is why He made sex- so men would have families and children. He is its author as much as He is the author of marriage and the natural order. Every perversity in sex slowly takes it away from the purpose for which He has created it an makes it into something evil.
All of this talk today about how “feminism is destroying society” is really a bunch of nonsense. Feminism was most damaging during its heyday in the late 19th and early 20th century, when it achieved its goal of separating morality from sexuality. Feminism today is simply the maintenance of the changes made centuries ago in order that worse changes may be instituted. This maintenance is what allowed for the sexual revolution of the 1960s to take place, and building upon the past, the same feminism working with the 1960s sexual revolution is propelling the final stage, which is the sex robot revolution we are seeing today.
In that sense, the sex robot is not an anomaly, or even unique, but quite expected- it is the advanced form of a spiritual rot that is eating the world and has naturally emerged from its circumstances just as naturally as men and women left alone will be attracted to each other. If as Bl. Lucia dos Santos said, the final battle will be over marriage and the family, then the current wave of homosexuality and transgenderism being promoted across the world will work hand-in-hand with the sex robots to completely re-define sexuality and strip it of any meaning related to family and children, making it a vehicle to sin and a blasphemy instead of a blessing, and as such it will be part of the final battle.
Prepare your souls accordingly.
