Coptic Pope Tawadros II in his recent visit to Australia urged Christians to ‘fight for what is right,’ stating that a family is a mother and a father and ‘gay marriage’ does not exist. Additionally, he excoriated Muslims for refusing to back his statements against homosexuality, saying they would rather stay silent in the face of evil than oppose it:
Coptic Pope Tawadros II is urging young Copts to ‘fight for what is right’ and vote against same-sex marriage in Australia’s forthcoming plebiscite.
Addressing around 1,000 young people on Friday evening, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt told them that ‘family equals “father and mother”‘ in a rally at the International Convention Centre in Sydney Harbour.
Many Copts have fled oppression in Egypt during the last few decades to make their homes in Australia and Tawadros’s visit is aimed at supporting their religious identity.
He said when he touched down in Australia: ‘According to the Holy Bible, when you read either in the Old Testament or the New Testament, there is no – at all – same-sex marriage.
‘Therefore, this marriage is completely refused from the Christian faith.
Tawadros’s comments comes as conservative Muslim leaders say they are afraid to join the debate on gay marriage for fear of being labelled extremists, including by Christians who share their opposition to the move.
Ali Kadri, from the Islamic Council of Queensland, warned many imams and community leaders, who he said represent ‘the vast majority of the Muslim community’, were refusing to speak out.
Kadri told the Guardian there was a mixture of views among Muslims, conservatives ‘are afraid to express their concerns because they’re worried they’ll be labelled as extremists or terrorists’.
He said: ‘It’s not those that support the “yes” side that conservative Muslims are afraid of – ironically they are afraid of Christian conservatives who themselves support the “no” side.’
He added: ‘Muslims have been flavour of the day for a long time and will come back on to the hit list [if same-sex marriage is legalised]. Although they agree on marriage, there is no sympathy or favours for Muslims [among the Christian right].’ (source)
It is no surprise that Muslims would not oppose the LGBT and instead choose to be silence in the face of evil. This is not just because Islam is itself an evil religion, but because as we have consistently pointed out, Islam permits the LGBT so long as it is done in accordance with the provisions of Sharia law. This is also not something new, but is a well-established fact of Islamic law going back to the time of Mohammed. As Walid wrote,
In other words, the bottom line is that Islam prohibits and permits homosexuality. Islam’s author of confusion is notorious for using play on words. In Islam a homosexual (Liwati) is banned but if he is effeminate (Mukhannath) he is not. Adultery is forbidden in Islam, of course, but not with concubines, alcohol is forbidden, but not in heaven, prostitution Bagha’ is forbidden but not when its Misyar (marriages where one can contract with a rental overnight wife). Patricide and matricide are forbidden until the parents oppose the son to go on Jihad … you name the sin and Islam becomes the religion of loopholes.
So Islam prohibits masculine gender cross-dressers unless they are effeminate. The rally in Istanbul had both homosexual dominant and submissive. In Islam it is prohibited for masculine men to cross-dress:
the curse is specifically directed only at “males” and “women,” and does not cover non-males who might be female-impersonators (or non-women who might be male-impersonators, if indeed there was a recognition of “non-women”). It’s okay to be a drag queen as long as you are not a straight man posing to gain access to unsuspecting women, or to the wives of unsuspecting husbands.
Islam is a confusing religion. Many are even duped to believe that Islam respects the Virgin Mary while they ignore weird Muslim beliefs. The Ahmadiyyah, the most peaceful sect of Islam, for example believes that Virgin Mary, the Mother of Christ was a hermaphrodite while the other sunni violent sects disagree with them.
But again, we are dealing with a religion where even the word ‘peace’ is also confused to mean “Muslim justice”. (source)
The LGBT and Islam, while both evil in the ways in which they manifest and with the particular emphases the promote are both still evil, and therefore the come from the same source and if followed, will lead back to the same destination. As we have constantly stated, given a choice between two evils there is no choice other than to reject both and choose what is right because evil cannot substitute for evil.
That kind of thinking is like switching Coke for Pepsi thinking that if one drinks the latter instead of the former he will stop gaining weight. It is laughable because the only difference between Coke and Pepsi is the manufacturer and the flavoring used. The basic mixture of water and liquid corn sugar is exactly the same for both sodas, and so it does not matter which soda a man drinks because each one will produce the same physical effects on the body as the other. The only difference is in the taste sensation to the person drinking it.
Forget all of the nonsense about how ISLAM HATES GAYS, because nothing could be further from the truth. Islam and homosexuality are from the same evil source, and while they will sometimes be in opposition to each other they ultimately hate Christians and Christian truth more than each other because of their evil nature.
When Mohammed went to sexually assault Aisha, a 6-year-old girl, he said that her refusal to say anything again his actions was her acceptance of them. In the words of Islamic Sacred Tradition in the Hadith, “Her silence is her consent.” What the Coptic Pope did, whether intending to or not, was to call out Muslims for their support of the LGBT, for just as it was for Mohammed molesting Aisha, the silence of the Muslim community in the fact of the evil of the LGBT is their acceptance of homosexuality.
