The military industrial complex continues. The US is still bombing Syria, and it looks we are entering Iraq part 2. The US’ bombing slaughtered 100 Syrians fighting America backed jihadist fighters. I guess to the US warmongers, nobody can defend their country once they are invaded by the US and their backed rebels. According to one report the Evening Standard:
The White House today tried to calm fears that America was getting embroiled in a widening war in Syria after US bombers killed more than 100 government troops in a fierce and unexpected clash.
Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said US-backed fighters faced a “perplexing” assault by about 300 pro-government fighters on Wednesday night in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, where US military advisers were present alongside local allied forces.
A counter-assault was swiftly launched by F-22 stealth jets and F-15 fighters.
US Senator Tim Kaine, who sits on foreign relations and military oversight committees, voiced concerns that the US was “purposefully stumbling into a broader conflict, without a vote of Congress or clear objectives”.
