Muslim Man Gets Job Working For A Nuclear Aircraft Carrier, And Wants To Sell Secrets About The Carrier To Other Muslims

By Theodore Shoebat

A Muslim man who worked for the Navy is being charged for trying to sell secrets about a nuclear aircraft carrier to other Muslims. According to the report:

A naturalized American citizen working for the Navy was arrested Friday for attempting to sell technical information about the nuclear aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford to an agent of the Egyptian government.

The agent, however, was a federal undercover agent working for the FBI.

According to documents from the Justice Department, a federal grand jury on Dec. 3 indicted Mostafa Ahmed Awwad, 35, and charged him with two counts of attempting to export defense articles and technical data.

According to a redacted affidavit from federal agent James Blitzer, Awwad was born in 1979 in Saudi Arabia. He married a US citizen in May 2007 in Cairo, Egypt, and later became a US citizen.

At the time of his indictment, Awwad, of Yorktown, Virginia, was working as a civilian engineer in the nuclear engineering and planning department of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he had been hired in February. He had been given a clearance of Secret.

The office provides engineering support for the Gerald R. Ford, under construction at Newport News Shipbuilding in nearby Newport News, Virginia.

The indictment and affidavit provide details of how, on Sept. 18, an FBI undercover agent speaking in Arabic contacted Awwad by phone and asked to meet the following day. Awwad subsequently agreed to copy and turn over diagrams and schematics of the carrier, many marked “NOFORN,” meaning no distribution to foreign citizens.

According to a Justice Department press release, during the Sept. 19 meeting “Awwad met with the undercover FBI agent, who was posing as an Egyptian intelligence officer, in a park in Hampton, Virginia.

“During the meeting Awwad claimed it was his intention to utilize his position of trust with the US Navy to obtain military technology for use by the Egyptian government, including but not limited to, the designs of the USS Gerald Ford nuclear aircraft carrier. Awwad agreed to conduct clandestine communications with the undercover FBI agent by email and unattributable telephones and to conduct ‘dead drops’ in a concealed location in the park.”

On Oct. 9, the Justice Department release continues, Awwad “and the undercover FBI agent met at a hotel where Awwad described a detailed plan to circumvent US Navy computer security by installing software on his restricted computer system that would enable him to copy documents without causing a security alert.

“At this time Awwad also provided the undercover FBI agent four computer aided drawings of a US nuclear aircraft carrier downloaded from the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Information system. These drawings were marked with warnings that foreign distribution could result in criminal prosecution.

“During the discussion, Awwad indicated his understanding that the drawings would be sent to and used in Egypt. Awwad also asked the undercover FBI agent for $1,500 to purchase a pinhole camera he would wear around the shipyard to photograph restricted material.

“At the conclusion of the meeting, Awwad agreed to provide the undercover FBI agent with passport photos which would be used to produce a fraudulent Egyptian passport so Awwad could travel to Egypt without alerting US government officials.”

On Oct. 23, the documents said, Awwad traveled to a pre-arranged dead drop site — a concealed container disguised as a hole in the ground situated on a secluded hiking trail in a park. There, “he retrieved $3,000 in cash before placing a one-terabyte external hard drive and two passport photos inside. The FBI later collected the contents of the dead drop container.”

More than a month later, on Nov. 28, said the Justice department, “Awwad was observed entering his office at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard holding a cardboard tube about three feet long. Once in his office, Awwad opened the cardboard tube and took out several white sheets which appeared to be design schematics of an aircraft carrier. Awwad then placed the schematics on the floor of his office and photographed them. After approximately 45 minutes of viewing the schematics and taking photographs, Awwad placed all the schematics back in the cardboard tube and left his office.”

Awwad remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing Dec. 10 at the federal courthouse in Norfolk.

Egypt has no aircraft carriers, and does not operate nuclear ships.

And he’s probably just a drop in the bucket. There should be NO islam in our military. Period. By the way, Good job FBI.!

    • knight

You cannot have a armed force where the attack can come from with in the armed services, and not knowing who your enemy is dressed in same clothing

  • Trevor

Espionage used to be a serious crime and a hint of that were swiftly investigated.

Today? The government is too busy snooping on everyday, hard working citizens who are trying to put food on table, keep roof over heads, and warm bed instead of watching the enemy.

When people begin to fear the government, liberty is lost, and the only way to regain liberty is to fight back through election, court injunction, and as an absolute last resort, a military confrontation.

    • DeusLoVult

And we’re fast approaching the point which necessitates military action…..

      • Trevor

        I sincerely hope not.

        • DeusLoVult

So do I, but…..whatever is necessary, must be done. God commands it be so.

    • knight

The amount of Muslims in countries will have to have military actions as can you see them changing their ways as we strip them of Burqas, Mosques, stopping their prayers five times a day, then deportation of all the ones came in illegally. he soon we move on this the less harm will be done at least move groups but by bit to help keep away violence.

  • Saxon Warrior

Can’t trust them – none of them.
Muslims should not be allowed in the military, in the judiciary, in government, in the police or in schools. They are the enemy within, snakes in the grass…… never trust them as far as you can throw them unless they are ex-Muslims who have seen the light. Even then they need to be tested to make sure their apostasy is genuine.

    • richinnameonly

I even worry about their positions in airlines, cruise ships, etc., where transport can be used to kill multitudes. It’s a pity there are some with misgivings about Islam but don’t want to leave or convert at the risk of their heads rolling.

    • Jeff Benton

And as richinnameonly pointed out with travel sources, lets not forget about utility companies and county positions like water treatment facilities and gas and power companies and whatnot… Of course I do see your “in government” phrase covered some of that… Just pointing out a few specifics for folks…

      • Grandmere

That is the most concerning to me.

        • Jeff Benton

I know right!!! The food industry is chock full of em too… very very dangerous in my opinion…

          • Grandmere

Remember all the panic when one person put Cyanide in Tylenol capsules and placed them randomly on drug store shelves?

  • Jeff Benton

Dead Drop…. Yuk… I hear tell that spooks would sometimes use freshly killed carcasses of animals to put info in to discourage passers by from looking into it.. Usually in low traveled woodsy areas where very few would ever think to walk… Then the other party would retrieve this info from the “dead drop”…

Makes one wonder how much secret info wound up in the local landfills when Animal Control authorities may have inadvertantly picked up the carcasses before the spies could retrieve it…

Of course one “hears” many things that turn out to be hogwash…
But still, remember this if ever you find yourself at odds with peeps trying to catch and kill you and you need to get info to or from friends…

Looks like ISIS or Islamic factions, The Chinese, or the Russians have been shutting down our air travel…
One of those 3 groups have set all of California ablaze…
Looks like one of those 3 also hit a chem plant in Texas…
Looks like either the U.S., Russia, or an Islamic faction blew up the chem plant in China…
The U.S. and Germany is pulling Patriot missiles out of Turkey according to the little scrolling news feed at the bottom of the OANN screen…
And I could probably keep writing another 2000 words or so on the shenanigans that appear to be going on in the last few weeks by the intelligence communities of several nations…

Keep your eyes peeled folks… It’s a mighty interesting time we are in…

This is for Pastor Hutchins from southwest Radio who past away and was a blessing to myself and Walid. Walid said in an interview before he converted he just like listening to his voice as well as myself liked hearing his voice.. Anyways he would say “God is still on the throne and prayer changes things.” It is crazy times we are living in and it is nice to see and hear people like yourselves on this site who admit we have failures but you still have a desire to do what’s right in a sinful world.

  • Jeff Benton

    Off Topic…
Here is an old vid I made a good while back on inexpensive water storage…
This is for those who had some questions on Walids site a few articles back about water issues…
It by no means covers every aspect of it but was just meant for beginning Preppers who may be fooled into thinking they need to spend huge amounts of money on Preparedness…
You Dont need to to get started…
Walid has a good article here somewhere on Prepping for disasters or whatever too…
Watch out, it is kind of loud on my puter… Sorry for the low quality and huge amount of “uh’s” I used when making this… 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • andrea

This is you Jeff making this.

      • Jeff Benton

        Yes…

        • andrea

          Thanks for sharing.

          • Jeff Benton

            You got it 🙂

          • andrea

With some humor added. You have a slight accent there. I love it. Lol

          • Jeff Benton

            hehehe… 🙂

          • andrea

You should make us some more videos. We can go viral and you can make it into the big time. I will be your agent! Lol

          • Jeff Benton

            Sounds good!!!!
I wanted to do a vid on prayer, where it starts out with me showing folks how I pray… It starts out with a traditional view of me kneeling in Prayer, then jumps to clips of me running with my bow, sliding on my knees to a stop while drawing an arrow and firing while praying that I hit the target!!!
And a lot of other fun goofy stuff like that LOL….

          • DeusLoVult

HAHAHAHA! I think we’d get along just fine Jeff. 😉

          • Jeff Benton

            🙂

          • Jeff Benton

Let me see if I can dig up those pics of Dragon Killer and Demon Slayer… I think you will appreciate them…
            Ahh here they are 🙂
Deus, meet two of my buddies… The Knife on top shelf is Dragon Killer, The knife on the middle shelf is Demon Slayer…
            🙂 🙂 🙂

          • DeusLoVult

            Handsome. 🙂

          • Eric

I have a bunch of swords and knives, too. 😉

          • Jeff Benton

Awesome… I have an old authentic circa 1840 Bowie Knife right here beside me… Took a pic with it on the wall behind me a few years ago… Let me dig it up… You can barely see it but it is there…

          • Eric

            All right, Jeff. 🙂

          • Jeff Benton

            Here it is…

          • Eric

            I can’t see it. . .

          • Jeff Benton

            How bout now?

          • Eric

            I’ll refresh the page.

          • Eric

            See it now.

          • DeusLoVult

I have a lot of antique sabres from the Indian Wars, and Mexican-American War. Some have battle wear…and blood rust.

          • Eric

            That’s really cool.

P.s. Did ya get my note? I sent one earlier.

          • DeusLoVult

            No worries, I got it.

          • Grandmere

            You have no idea. LOL

          • DeusLoVult

Ha! I think, my lady, you might have a point there. 🙂

          • andrea

            You are silly.

          • Jeff Benton

            Thanks andrea 🙂 🙂 🙂 I do try 🙂 🙂 🙂

          • andrea

I’ll still be your agent and try not to run!

          • Jeff Benton

            LOL… Too awesome 🙂 🙂 🙂
Grandmere has met me… She can tell ya Im not dangerous in the least… Im actually the least violent person I know to be honest…
And I hope with everything in me it can remain that way…

          • Grandmere

Well the cat is outta the bag. Jeff and Grandmere are friends. The next time you do a video I will let you put up a pic of my hand.

          • Jeff Benton

            🙂 🙂 🙂 For you to call me a friend is an honor indeed… Thank you… 🙂 🙂 🙂

          • Grandmere

            Accent? What accent? LOL

    • Catbr

Nice to meet you Jeff. lol It’s weird seeing someone on video like this instead of just reading comments. You look good on camera, not shy at all, and have a very nice speaking voice. Have you ever considered radio or some other media outlet?

      • Jeff Benton

Oh my!!! That comment gets an upvote from me for sure LOL…
Actually though, I am pretty shy…
I dont like the limelight at all and would prefer to be in the background un-noticed in whatever work I do.. That goes for play too…
Lots of folks have said I should go into radio, but with my history, I would just be a detriment to any company that hired me… At least the way folks brand peeps for all time once they have messed up…
Most of these folks who talk smack to me on the blogs here would recoil in horror and probably wet themselves if they knew my past… I guarantee you they would not keep talking smack, but would probably fear for their very lives…
Of course, if they ever met me in person they would see that I am not like that at all and probably like me as a person…
But history talks, and reality walks these days…
It’s been like that forever though… This is nothing new…
So yeah, I’ve thought about it… But I dont need or want the spotlight anywhere near me 🙂 🙂 🙂
What I would like to do is find some job researching stuff for peeps…
A nice quiet job with lots of ancient books and texts of different sorts and no fame at all 🙂 🙂 🙂

        • Catbr

Too bad you couldn’t be on the radio or another media outlet. You could shake things up with your outspoken honesty, put some people in their place I’m sure. Don’t be too hard on yourself about anything from the past. Everything can be forgiven. The only problem is we usually don’t know how to forgive ourselves. We’ve all got some things from the past, myself included, that we’d rather forget. (“wet themselves” lol)

          • Jeff Benton

LOL… Glad I could make ya laugh!!!
Thanks Catbr… That is certainly sound advise!!!
Lots of folks forget all about forgiving themselves for mistakes…
You can bet your hiney that a whole lot of peeps with depression issues are probably in that category at some point too!!!
Gotta let it go and move forward…
            🙂 🙂 🙂

        • andrea

Oh Jeff don’t say that. Yes we,all have things that play over and over in our head. I am glad you changed. I would like to go into the Vatican where they have all the books.

          • Jeff Benton

Ooooh yeah! The Vatican Library would indeed rock!!!

The only things that play over and over in my head these days are good things… Certain prayers and good sayings of old that really were instrumental in my growth as a person…

          • andrea

Good because you are a blessing. And I am serious I would love to go to that library there.

    • mspip

a very good idea, thank you. some may like to put a little bit of colloidal silver in the bottles for water safety during storage

      • Jeff Benton

Cant remember where I read it at, but I read somewhere that they used to drop a silver dollar in the bottom of the water barrels in towns in the days of the old west…

        • mspip

read that too. silver is a good medicine too.

          • Grandmere

Everyone should have a bottle. You can get it at GNC. It does have a shelf life. You can use it internally and externally. A few drops in ear or nose. An little on a bandage for a wound. It has been used for burn patients for years.

    • Grandmere

Those 2 liter bottles work well for dry goods such as rice, beans, grits, oatmeal, etc. Use a funnel. Tap bottle several times to let contents settle. Put in a small oxygen absorber and cap tightly. Soda bottles have a strong seal and thread to hold pressure. They will hold a vacuum.

      • Jeff Benton

That is true indeed… And also, even if the seal were to eventually give, beans and whatnot would last a long long time in any type of capped bottle…

        • Grandmere

Those large jugs that laundry detergent comes in can be rinsed and filled for sanitation. They have a “tap” on them put one by the sink and you will have water to wash hands, dishes, bathe etc. Any old plastic container will work for flushing toilets (hope you have a septic tank). If you are on city water system use a tennis ball stuffed down the toilet to prevent sewage back up during a prolonged( several days) power outage. Sewer backup will make a home uninhabitable. Good luck friends. Get busy.

Amen to that the Shriners donot help out all honoring the Koran.

Off topic but what does everyone think of gays wiping their butt with pages from the Bible in front of parents and then throwing said pages (now with feces) at the parents?

    http://chicksontheright.com/blog/item/30436-look-what-the-gay-mafia-did-to-these-protesters

I can’t say what I think about this. It would not be Christian-like.

    • andrea

I will agree with what you said it wouldn’t be Christ like what I would say. But I will tell you a story of a man in a foreign country who was in prison. He was being beaten and had to clean the toilet. The man in charge did the same thing with the pages of the bible. The man wiped off the pages and started reading them. His life was changing and others came to him and said what is up with you since he changed. He told them of the bible they said we thought you were planning on escaping and wanted to come with you.

Hey, Jazcat! Why is Al Qaeda more compassionate than pro-lifers?

The 9/11 hijackers got to die instantly.

  • knight

I do not think the crew will waste time for a accident to happen, than to have one that is a potential bomb that would take out the Aircraft Carrier to be on board.

  • knight

Alarm bells should have been ringing everywhere for them to take up important positions, and the loudest screams should have come from the public

  • Jeff Benton

I dont really need to do a search… Jihadis came out with a video and several tweets not too long ago saying they were going to do exactly this… Set our woods on fire… They said it loud and clear…
It doesn’t take an analyst to figure it out…
Then, look at who the lefty media works for, and BAM!!!! you have the whole picture…

Imagine that… I didnt have to type one single word into a search engine, nor contact any contractors to find out anything…
Just used my memory of things that are common knowledge…

  • Jeff Benton

    Way to go…
I took off down the east coast one Saturday when a company I worked for folded on the previous Friday morning and told me to tell all the employees they were out of a job LOL…
Had 600 dollars to my name… stayed at State parks heading down the coast till I got to the keys… Then stayed at Long Key for a bit before heading up the west coast of Florida…

It was mainly Peanut Butter and Saltines for a few months… Had a great time…
It was actually a blast… But I try to keep at least a small stock of supplies if I am able to since that time… And more than a small stock if I can…
As you say, Hunger and thirst are no fun at all…

  • mspip

    don’t doubt that one bit.
