Scores of Muslims Turning to Christ in Middle East; Churches Are Expecting Millions of Converts

This move away from Islam is not just in the Middle East, but it is in Europe as well. The Churches of Europe are literally overflowing with not just Christians from the Middle East, but new converts from Muslim backgrounds as one report notes:

Thousands of Muslims are turning to Jesus Christ and what they view as the “religion of freedom” amid ongoing bloodshed in the Middle East, reports indicate. Some churches hope that millions of people will accept Christ amid a “spiritual hunger” that is forming in the wake of persecution.

Voice Of the Martyrs Canada, which supports Christian radio broadcasts in the region, told BosNewsLife that despite the mass exodus of Christians from Iraq and Syria due to terrorism, persecution, and war, scores of Muslims are making the decision to embrace Christianity.

“There are thousands upon thousands coming to Christ,” VOMC revealed. “We are in regular contact with our FM stations in Iraq and have talked with many people who have family in the Middle East.”

“Some of our Middle Eastern broadcasters have shared testimonies [about many turning to Christ] with us, which they hear directly from listeners when visiting there …”

In Iran, Christian house churches are regularly targeted and shut down by the nation’s Islamic government. Despite this persecution, mission group Elam Ministries revealed that Christians have been growing in terms of numbers, and today estimates suggest there are 360,000 believers in Iran – up from only 500 in 1979.

“Church leaders believe that millions can be added to the church in the next few years — such is the spiritual hunger that exists and the disillusionment with the Islamic regime,” Elam Ministries stated.

“If we remain faithful to our calling, our conviction is that it is possible to see the nation transformed within our lifetime. Because Iran is a strategic gateway nation, the growing church in Iran will impact Muslim nations across the Islamic world.”

Muslim refugees in Europe have also reportedly been undergoing mass conversions of faith. A June 2016 article from The Guardian noted anecdotal data of rising Christian church attendance in Europe by Muslims.

Trinity church in the Berlin suburb of Steglitz, for instance, saw its congregation rise from 150 to 700 due to new Muslim converts, while the Austrian Catholic Church saw its applications for adult baptism swell by nearly 70 percent in the first three months of 2016.

“I found that the history of Islam was completely different from what we were taught at school. Maybe, I thought, it was a religion that began with violence,” an Iranian convert, 32-year-old Johannes, said.

“A religion that began with violence cannot lead people to freedom and love. Jesus Christ said ‘those who use the sword will die by the sword.’ This really changed my mind,” he added.

More churches in Germany reported this growing phenomena in December 2016, with The Independent noting that Muslims, especially Iranians, are seeing Christianity as a new chance at freedom.

“A lot of them come to Germany and think, here I can choose my religion and I want to choose a religion of freedom,” said Matthias Linke, a priest from the Evangelical-Freikirchlichen Gemeinde in Berlin.

“For many Iranians that I’ve baptized, Christianity is the religion of freedom.”(source)

Let me remind you that I am not saying that conflict will not happen. What I am saying is that God is working here, and it is our responsibility as Christians to pray and make sacrifice for these people, as God desires that all men are saved and because there is salvation under no other name than that of Jesus.

It defies human logic, but persecution always leads to the growth of Christianity.

    • Higlac

Eh, that can show us just how human logic – and everything human to boot, while we’re at it – is twisted and corrupted by the EVIL we’re guilty of ever since the Original Sin…

I’m glad that enough of these Moslem invaders are renouncing Satan (Islam is one of his fabrications and tricks); however, the rate of this repentance needs to be FAR, far, far HIGHER!!!! Thanks be to God, however, that it’s happening at all.

    • Christendom

We can thank the God given human ‘soul’ for this paradox 🙂

Suffering has a profound effect on fallen man. When we see persecution our conscience is invoked. When we ourselves are persecuted against we are humbled and then naturally tend to align ourselves with matters of eternal importance. Humility is the optimal condition for fallen man to see the truth of Christ and the Cross.

Pride on the other hand blinds us from the truth. The proud thrive off the persecution of others. That’s why the most miraculous examples of God’s grace and mercy are seen when the proudest among us are humbled and embrace Christ and the Cross. Walid Shoebat is one such example. If Christ never put a Christian woman in Walid’s heart what would his life look like today? 🙂

      God only knows…

I listened to this testimony from former Satanist, Zachary King, just yesterday:

          God Bless

          • Julie LaBrecque

Caught his testimony about a year ago – and one from a female Satanic High priest – forget her name, both amazing stories, especially to learn that a true Satanic High Priest can point out one, single, consecrated host against hundreds of unconsecrated hosts.

          • Christendom

Testimonies such as this are powerful reminders for all Christians that Christ, often through Our Lady, can put His hand of grace upon anyone at anytime.

Another example of pride I should’ve noted equally is an unchecked desire for revenge. Any persecuted group, this includes Christians, can fall for the temptation to lust for revenge against our persecutors if we aren’t careful. Revenge and justice are not the same thing, in the same way as cold blooded murder is very different to a legitimate act of self-defense.

Remembering our persecutors have an eternal soul and there is a chance they will one day repent and be saved is humbling. Studying scriptural examples and biographies of the saints (past or present) gives us much inspiration to draw from and many reasons to be humbled. My life pales in comparison to theirs.

I read one testimony of a devout and virtuous young Catholic man who prayed for the forgiveness of his persecutors while they were brutally hacking him to death with machetes (during the 1994 Rwandan genocide). This event while horrific and tragic in human terms, takes an extraordinary act of faith and God given grace, making it deeply moving to the soul.

            God Bless

So much to ponder — I do enjoy reading the livescid the saints – I think the one most notable to me is that is St. Bakhita – from Sudan – tortured by Muslim kidnappers/ overlords/masters: from Ignatius press, author Roberto Italo Zanini – unbelievable story

          • Christendom

Wow. That really does look like an amazing story. It’s been added to my reading list.

            Thanks for the recommendation.

You are welcome – it is quite the story. Her humility and ability to forgive is unbelievable – I hope you enjoy it.

I think this is a new trick by the media and the global elitists to calm fears and gain acceptance for Muslims to come into our countries.

Let’s look at the facts, the Middle East was Christian and turned Islamic due to terrorism and oppression. The children who had come from Christian backgrounds went to Madrasses and had their minds perverted, they grew up and were devout Muslims who’s parents (reluctant muslims) witnessed the brainwashing of their children and on fear of torture and death did not dare tell them the truth about how evil Islam is. In due course several generations, many generations were born, didn’t mix with Christians, were brainwashed to hate them and despise Christianity, and it’s these people who are coming to the West, convinced that they know the only acceptable truth about God, most in belief that women of the West are dressed immodestly and are immoral due to their wrong religious views.

I have debated Muslims for several years now, that is Muslims who have come in from the Middle East, and l attempted to teach them about Jesus. I was never stuck for an answer, but l find that the level of their distrust for our Bible, our culture, etc, is something l cannot break through and they are convinced that Jesus was just a prophet and was not crucified, and can’t be persuaded otherwise. They also move into Muslim communities where they are hardly aware they are not in the Middle East. In fact the Muslims l try to reach with the truth are as determined as me to teach me the errors of Christianity.

I know that there may be a few scores of Muslims out of thousands, who will convert to Christianity, but equally we have atheists and prisoners joining Islam in much greater numbers.

If it was up to Muslims breeding Muslims, fast as they breed, with limited refugees and migrants arriving from the Middle East and ekswhere, it would still take a very long time to make our lands Islamic, that’s why l believe there is an agenda that globalist leaders have implemented to fast track and speed the process up by bringing in mega thousands, millions in every year to the West, and those who they bring later as their close families will add to those numbers and they too will be allowed to bring other close family members related to them, and so on and so on. It is a hopeless scenario, l am sad to say!

Those are my reasons for doubting that thousands of Muslims are converting to Christianity. It’s not about them hearing the truth and loving the freedom of Christianity, they are on the whole incapable of hearing the truth. Even when they read the Bible they are so prejudiced that they are just looking to criticise. At every stage, they have closed minds, they have bought into Muhammad so intensely that they look for what fits Islam, their narrative, and reject everything else. In my dealings with Muslims they not only attempt to destroy my view of Christianity, and Jesus, but if l give back to them verses from the Quran showing them that indeed they have open licence to fight against all people of non Muslim faith, until the only religion left is for Allah and Muhammad, ( very clear surahs,) they reply with for example with ” as you can see from the surahs you sent me, we are not allowed to kill non Muslims” . That’s the real truth we are up against, these people are either completely blind to the obvious satanic decrees from Allah in their scriptures or they are the biggest liars ever to walk the Earth.

    • Ceirwyn

You’re describing brainwashing. Which is what has been done to the average muslim and all their friends. Only God can break through, but don’t be discouraged at the lack of results in sharing Truth with them; you’re planting seeds God may use later to open their eyes.

      • Flame blue

I pray God will take over now or Europe will become Muslim, the floods won’t stop, it just keeps pouring in. Oh, Lord stop the dark clouds, shine Lord, come soon and save us? There are many Christians, some confused l know, if they saw Satan himself starving they would do an evil deed to feed him because they think that is good! But we Christians don’t deserve what is happening now!

  • Julie LaBrecque

Let’s all hope that the trend continues. It must work on a Muslim”s psyche to see the brutal murder of innocents at the hands of Islam- a catch-22 for Satan!

    • Kevin Nicholson

      God, let it be so….

      • Julie LaBrecque

Charlie Johnson (of the nextrightstep fame) has predicted that there will be a mass conversion of Muslims….just sayin’

  • Actually I don’t know which is the fastest growing population. You have China with 1.3 billion and that alone equals to the Muslim world. Executing apostates is mostly in Saudi Arabia but the numbers of putting apostates to death is minimal. And as far as too many Muslim killers, in the last decade you had around three hundred in the U.S. killed by Muslims which makes it .002% of all killings.

When we look at the evils of mankind we should examine all evil as evil and not exclusively focus only on Muslim evils. However, this does not mean we be ignorant that Islamist nations will not rise to threaten the world.

  • Marie Halligan

Some good news for once.God bless the converts and here’s praying for millions more!

  • Flame blue

I agree. I do believe that some of the more moral Muslims are seeing Jesus. It would be great if Jesus would just spiritually appear in vision in their minds and even physically in their rooms at the same time and all of those Muslims would see him and follow Jesus and ditch Muhammad. If it’s left to Christians, we can only do our best even though us being human in appearance gives the impression that we are doing the preaching and evangelising when actually it’s the Holy Spirit.
