Times are tough in east Africa, and many people are turning to witchcraft to try and help themselves. Many times these rituals involve mutilation or human sacrifice, especially of small children:
Jackline Mukisa sobbed as she described how her 8-year-old son was found in a nearby swamp in February without teeth, lips, ears and genitals.
“My innocent son died a painful death,” said Mukisa, 28. “How could somebody intend to murder my son?”
A motorcyclist offered John Lubega a lift as he walked back from school, according to fellow students who saw him last. His remains suggest he was slowly killed as part of a human sacrifice ritual performed by witch doctors, apparently to appease the spirits, said Mukisa, who filed a police report.
No arrest has been made so far.
In this landlocked country whose diverse landscape includes the snow-capped Ruwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria, many believe sacrificial rituals can bring quick wealth and health.
Among those rituals, human sacrifice, especially of children, occurs frequently despite the government’s efforts to stop it.
Seven children and two adults were sacrificed last year, said Moses Binoga, a police officer who heads Uganda’s Anti-Human Sacrifice and Trafficking Task Force. Seven children and six adults were sacrificed in 2015.
But experts said the number could be much higher.
Times are tough in Uganda, and people are looking to sacrifices to improve their fortunes. The worst drought in over half a century has hit parts of East Africa, leaving more than 11 million people in this nation facing food insecurity and 1.6 million on the brink of famine, according to the Ugandan government.
“There is no food due to the ongoing drought, and some believe that this has been brought by ancestral spirits,” said Joel Mugoya, a traditional healer. “So there is a high desire for people to conduct sacrifices so that they come out of this problem.”
Recently, Uganda police arrested 44 suspects in Katabi, a town 24 miles from the capital, Kampala, in connection with a spate of killings of children and women. Half of the suspects have been charged in court, including two alleged masterminds.
Uganda Police Inspector General Kale Kayihura said one suspect confessed to killing eight women. More than 21 women have been killed between May 3 and Sept. 4, Kayihura said.
“The murders were for ritual sacrifices,” he told residents last week. “We are working hard to arrest the remaining suspects and end the practice.”
Francis Bahati’s wife was among the victims. He discovered her body after three days of searching. Her fingers and feet had been cut off for ritual purposes, likely in hopes of securing better fortunes.
“I was shocked and even lost consciousness,” he said.
Last year police arrested Herbert Were, a resident of Busia town in eastern Uganda, for beheading his 8-year-old brother, Joel Ogema. Were, 21, confessed to police that he killed his brother in hopes of attaining wealth.
Church leaders are teaming up with police to end the brutal practice.
Pastor Peter Sewakiryanga, who heads Kyampisi Childcare Ministries, a Christian organization that fights child sacrifice in Uganda, said children disappear in the country every week. They are often found dead, or alive with missing body parts.
Most survivors or victims do not file police reports, Sewakiryanga said, adding that he implores victims to come forward.
“It’s a serious problem but we are fighting it with the help of the government,” he said.
Sacrifices often involve removing body parts, blood or tissue while the child is still alive.
“It’s a brutal ritual that destroys the lives of our children and affects their parents mentally,” he added. “We are working with the police to arrest witch doctors involved in the ritual. We are also assisting the survivors financially and with moral support.”
Sewakiryanga said his charity worked with Ugandan police three years ago to arrest a witch doctor and his accomplices who sacrificed a 7-year-old girl named Suubi.
The witch doctor drained her blood and cut out her genitals, he said. He then cut the neck and drained the blood of the girl’s 10-year-old brother, Kanani.
In June, a Ugandan court sentenced the witch doctor to life in prison.
Fears of witch doctors have hurt women who practice traditional medicine, however.
According to KidsRights, a global organization that advocates for children, Uganda has 650,000 registered traditional healers and an estimated 3 million unregistered practitioners. Unscrupulous witch doctors hide among so-called healers, the group said.
“They should arrest people who murdered my son,” Mukisa said. “The government is doing little to protect our children. They must begin to arrest all witch doctors.”
But Sewakiryanga said arresting everyone claiming to practice medicine was going too far. He hoped to end the practice by changing the hearts of those who promote human sacrifice.
Efforts to end the practice need to expand, he said. Other countries in Africa reported to be practicing child sacrifice include Tanzania, Nigeria, Swaziland, Liberia, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. (source)
But the counter-jihad movement was not mentioned here. So why did we mention it now? Is Shoebat.com BECOMING PRO-ISLAM?
Absolutely not. Islam is evil and that cannot be changed because as we and many others have explained, the evil is built into the theology. It is an inseparable part of Islam that even if a person wants to and does personally renounce the violence of Islam, it is a personal decision that has absolutely no effect on Islamic theology because, per Islamic theology these teachings are divinely revealed. Man may disagree with the teachings, but he cannot change them because they are not his to change since he did not create them per his own beliefs, and to say they have changed is to create a new religion because such a man has made his opinion the standard by which truth is measured. So no, nobody here is going pro-Islam ever.
What has happened is, as we mentioned repeatedly in our writings on the counter-jihad movement, we began to put together and see it for what the movement really is, which is a form of promoting socialism through the window of nationalism.
Most people who step back and take an objective look at Islam cannot but conclude the religion is evil and that the dysfunction seen in so many Muslim people arises on account of the religion’s teachings. That makes Islam and Muslims disliked on a natural level, and for completely understandable reasons. However, as the history of relations between the Muslim and non-Muslim worlds show, non-Muslim rulers driven by power with no concern for people at all love Islam because its inherent violence makes it an ideal target which they can use to promote other evils and in so doing expand and consolidate more wealth and power for themselves at the expense of others. These people do not care who they support or what evils may come from their actions- all that matters is they can create a dichotomy they can use to foment conflict and then present themselves as the answer.
The story above with the cannibalism is reminiscent of a story back from 2014 about fighting between “Christian” and Muslim groups as part of the Anti-Balaka movement in Africa. The Muslims were defeated, and some of the Christians who took part in the conflict then killed and ate Muslim prisoners. The story of the fighting but not the ensuing cannibalism was something that at the time many “counterjihad” websites reported on, including here at Shoebat.com, as well as other website such as Jihad Watch and Gatestone Institute.

That said, this aspect of the fighting was completely brushed over, and this is one of the great and unspoken evils of the counter jihad movement- to overlook irreconcilable, heinous evils to fight other.
Now it is well and good to cover persecutions, but as we discovered, this was not a simple case of BAD MUSLIMS KILLING CHRISTIANS. Now while many times Muslims do act out in disordered ways against Christians, likewise Christians can do the same- again I am not saying that Christians run around persecuting Muslims, or that there is more Christians persecuting Muslims than vice versa, for this would be an absolute lie. What I am saying is that stories at times often have more than what is readily available, and while there is the responsibility to report the news as it happens and one understands it at the time, as one’s understanding goes deeper, there is also a responsibility to explain more of the conflict. In the case above, one can immediately see that many of the “Christians” fighting against the Muslims were not Christians at all except in the sense of Haitian Christians who also practice Voodoo (Voudoun as they call it). There is absolutely no precident or justification at all, anywhere in Christian sacred scripture or tradition that allows for the wholesale murder and cannibalism of one’s enemies. Such an action is outright paganism, and is something that Christian missionaries fought against for centuries wherever they went, beginning with the ancient world then expanding into Europe, Asia, the Americas, and now Africa. This was the hallmark of the Church’s struggle against the Aztec paganism of old, where thousands of people were slaughtered and their hearts ripped out of their bodies as perverse offerings to the sun “god” of their particular religion.
Yes, these “christian”-in-name-only pagans were fighting the Muslims, but was what they did to the Muslims right? Absolutely not. The evil of the Muslims is not countered by doing evil to them. Again this does not mean that Christians cannot defend themselves and fight against Muslims when it is right to do so, but the emphasis is that Christianity is NOT Islam and the teachings are irreconcilably different because to be a Christian is to follow in the perfected form of Judaism that God has revealed to be His chosen way of salvation for the human race, whereas Islam is a licencious deception straight out of the abyss in order to lead those who follow it into it. Likewise, all forms of paganism are also paths into the same abyss that Islam leads to with the only difference being the road taken, for the ultimate destination is the same. One cannot expect to reach Heaven by supporting or following paths that lead to hell in order to fight another man traveling down a different path that leads to the same infernal destination. Yet this is exactly what major counter-jihad groups do on a regular basis:

And by “mysticism” it is speaking of Sigurfreyr Jonasson’s deep involvement in the occult. Sigurfreyr Jonasson is so steeped into satanic activities, rituals and weird fascinations that on his Pinterest page one will find it filled with disturbing images; utter satanism, an abhorrence for Christianity and love for occultism. Just look at the many different groups and peoples they have supported and associate themselves with- AfD, PEGIDA, BJP, Hindutva ideology, Peder Jensen (a.k.a. “Fjordman”), VAKUR, Sigurfreyr Jonasson– so many of the people in the “counter-jihad movement” are quick to tell Christians to ‘check their faith’ and say that Christians must “ally” with people who follow evil forms of paganism and surround themselves with witchcraft, drug dealing, national socialism, and all other forms of anti-human evils that Christ specifically came to destroy and indeed was Himself crucified by His own people for, because Christ announced that to be a Jew is not a matter of blood or race, but it is the acceptance of God’s grace, the circumcision of the heart that surpasses all races and peoples. As St. John wrote in the Gospel of John,

If the paganism of the counterjihad movement was not troubling enough, there is the open associations it has with homosexuality and the LGBT.

Indeed,Shoebat.com has the proud distinction of being one of the most anti-LGBT websites on the Internet, and as we have stated many times, our opposition to the LGBT is because of our love and zeal to follow Christ, for in order to love as God loves, one must hate what God hates, and as the Bible itself states that the sin of the LGBT is one of four that cries out to Heaven for vengeance, the fact is that one must ardently oppose the LGBT if one wants to receive the mercy of God, especially when one understands the gravity of their sin in these dark times. If silence is consent, then anybody who would support such an evil or want to stand alongside such an advocate is no different than him.
The story of the cannibalism in Africa is objectively horrible regardless of who does it because it is objectively wrong. What the counter-jihad movement does is to highlight and promote particular evils- something which is necessary and can be good- but at the same time absolutely whitewash and then defend as if there is nothing wrong the same evils when it is suited to their personal benefit.
Need a final example? Just look into the counter-jihad support of the Hindu pagans in India. As we have reported many times over and are warning about, there is a planned massacre of all Christians in India coming. Hindu “saffron terrorists” are actively working with the government of India to prepare for a genocide throughout India and the establishment of the “Bharat,” a “pure Hindu nation” with the same racist foundations as that of Germany and Japan during their attempts at imperialism during the 20th century resulted in. Even as of recent, Pamela Geller is quoting from Hindu Existence, one of the major Hindu Racist websites which supports the aims of the “Bharat” and the extermination of Christians that we have warned about, and even has an entire webpage on their site dedicated to attacking all forms of Christianity. This BRAVE COUNTER JIHAD WARRIOR will stand with anti-Christian pagans who openly talk about their desire for genocide and hatred of Christ as well as homosexual child abusers of the worst order because THEY ARE AGAINST THE MUSLIMS but will not address the torrent of filth that flows from their mouths. Instead, as far as many are concerned, it does not matter.
We are saying it does matter. Lie down with dogs, come up with fleas, and who you associate with is who you will become. That is the reason why we at Shoebat.com have taken the positions that we have, because as we are dedicated first to the Catholic Faith, we are to do the best that we can with the knowledge that we have, and if something changes in our understanding, we are to adjust accordingly. It is important to fight Islam because it is evil, but one cannot fight against Islam by supporting other evils as a substitute because it accomplishes nothing other than switching one evil for another. It does not advance the cause of anybody’s salvation or the greater good, but just the particular, temporal aims of the person supporting the replacement evil as opposed to the currently accepted evil.
Indeed, if the above story were a case of African pagans fighting against the Muslims, perhaps the gory details would be left out about the mutilations, but the counter-jihad movement would support the pagans because THEY’RE AGAINST THE MUSLIMS when the reality is they are two groups of evil people who are both on the way to hell, and both need to convert and accept the mercy of God before it is too late and they are forced to face His justice.
