Two men in Arizona shot a man seven times and kicked him in the face to his death. The two murders ate McDonald’s as though nothing happened. Here is the report:
A 22-year-old Buckeye man was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for his role as an accomplice in the slaying of another Buckeye man.
Zakary Chase Howard was sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court on Friday in the death of Matthew Christensen, 18.
Howard and Richard Burns, 20, lured Christensen to an isolated area near Inca Elementary School in April 2015 where Burns shot Christensen seven times with a .22-caliber rifle and kicked him in the face repeatedly, according to court documents.
Howard and Burns then stole Christensen’s car and fled, court documents said.
After putting gas in the car and picking up a friend, the men returned 25 minutes later to find Christensen was still alive. They left again, stopping at a McDonald’s in Avondale and then visiting Burns’ girlfriend in Phoenix before returning again to the scene, where they found Christensen had died.
