Christians should be rejoicing over what happened in Russia. Putin actually is calling for all world leaders to unite against the persecution of Christians in the Muslim world:
This pressing problem [Christian persecution] should be a subject of close attention for the entire international community… It is especially important today to make efforts to prevent intercultural and interreligious conflicts, which are fraught with the most serious upheavals.
American evangelicals complain that Russia is suppressing evangelical Churches and are advancing Orthodox only. When Russia wants to minimize the Protestant influence and grow their Orthodox version, they do it for a reason: Orthodox and Catholic leaders, unlike American evangelicals, don’t forget history.
I am from the east, we (both Muslim and Christian) learn from history and we never forget it! Historically, the Protestants stood with the Muslims against the Catholic alliance.
Today, nothing changed. Putin also wants to eliminate the Sodomite movement including all mosques while the U.S. including many in the American church defend such policies of tolerance to the homosexual agenda and to building mosques.
We actually made a humorous video on how Russians are responding to the sodomites in their country:
Can I blame Putin?
Where are the compliments by the American Prophecy mania crowd for the good that Russia is doing?
SILENCING THE ARGUMENTS
The most common argument for portraying Russia as “Gog” is that it supplies arms to Iran (Persia) and other Muslim nations. But selling weapons does not amount to primary evidence for anything Biblical. The United States supplied Saudi Arabia, the Harlot, with weapons.
It was the United States who gave weapons to Afghanistan during the Cold War in order to defeatCommunism. In doing so, they aided the Mujahideen and the indirect results were that we created the Taliban.
It was the United States that forced Israel to allow elections for the Arabs in Jerusalem—and now we have “Hamasistan” in Gaza.
It was the United States that twisted Israel’s arm to pull outof Christian Lebanon and now we have Hezbollah practically running that country amuck.
It was the United States, under Jimmy Carter, gave the cold shoulder to the Shah of Iran and did nothing when Khomeni and the Mujahideen-Khalq-Iran took over which resulted in the first initial Islamist state, the Islamic Republic of Iran.
But do these destructive acts of ignorance make the U.S. Gog and Antichrist? Yet in Joel Rosenberg’s Epicenter, it is this type of evidence that is used as the primary support for seeing Russia as the key player in the coming “Gog and Magog” battle against Israel.
Circumstantial evidence cannot be used as a substitute for solid Scriptural proof. Circumstances change, but God’s Word does not. The only one who knows Russia’s future for certain is God. When Russia stood with Nazi Germany, many concluded that Hitler was the European Antichrist.
They were all wrong. Russia now abandoned communism while the U.S. is struggling with socialism.
As soon as Stalin was betrayed by Hitler, Russia fought against Germany.
If so many prophecy analysts were wrong then, is there a chance that they are also wrong again? Name one prophecy analyst who named an antichrist and was correct? So many times they named individuals as “Gog”, a certain pope as “Antichrist” and every time they were dead wrong. How many times do these continue to slander others? To call someone the antichrist and to be wrong is definitely slander.
During the Cold War, numerous prophecy analysts focused on Communist Russia as a major player in the End-Times but then the superpower collapsed and its Muslim parts created their own Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S.). Few pay attention to the fact that they all are mentioned by their ancient names in the Bible as being part of the Magog attack against Israel, yet Prophecy buffs only thought of Russia proper and ignored all these Islamic states.
