Egyptian Government Denies Help To Persecuted Coptic Christians

Egypt’s Christians are undergoing severe persecution right not at the hands of Islamic terrorists, with many having had to flee for their lives as they are ruthlessly hunted down. These people, many of them families now living as refugees have been appealing to the government for help but so far their request for aid have been denied according to a recent report:

Coptic families displaced from North Sinai to Port Said have issued a statement on their living situations after leaving their hometown.

“We are the families displaced from al-Arish to Port Said in February. We are living inside small rooms inside the youth camps and the aid building. We are suffering and none of the officials or the Port Said governor will listen to us. At the beginning of the crisis, we headed to Ismailia governorate. Port Said welcomed us and the governor promised to offer support. The number of families who came continued to increase,” the statement read.

“As time passed, 28 families remained in the camps and aid buildings. Three months passed without any attention from the government or officials in Port Said. The governor then declared that there was a lack of residential houses to transfer the families to, in addition to a lack to jobs, which forced the martyr Nabil Saber to return to Arish, where he was killed — a message to every Copt thinking about returning,” it added.

The families then addressed the prime minister wondering: “Where are the promises and the concern directed to us at the beginning of the crisis? Where is the confirmation on caring for the families? Are we going to remain in these small rooms in the youth camps? Will we continue to be neglected unless the media highlights the crisis?”

“We are only receiving support from the church, which plays the role of the state toward Egyptian citizens.”

The families said they intend to continue defending their rights “even if all the families have to travel to Cairo and head to the presidential palace to meet the President, who previously gave instructions to remove any obstacles facing the displaced families.”

These are the people America should be taking in as refugees. Mr. Trump, this is a promise that you have yet to fulfill.

    • Our government is corrupted to the core.

      • CTyank

That becomes clearer each hour. “Draining the swamp” is either a fools errand or a handy snare for the naive.

        • I had hoped that Trump would be different. He did some good and made some really boneheaded decision. So glad I’m not a politician.

          • CTyank

I haven’t given up on his intentions yet, it’s just that the swamp is probably undrainable. Except by Christ.

          • DeusLoVult

Don’t give up on him yet, Trevor. He’s only just started, practically.

          • I never said I was giving up on him.

          • Kamau41

            That’s how I view it.

        • Grandmere

I’m afraid the swamp is draining the president.

          • CTyank

Very true. We could see that coming I suppose.

          • Grandmere

Death by a thousand cuts. He can’t get his agenda going and keep his congressional support with these daily attacks. Where is his 41??? Where are his rowers? Out picking daisies?

          • CTyank

They say ” go ahead, jump mr president. We’ll be right behind you!”

          • Kamau41

It is. We’ve been seeing that for quite awhile.

        • Kamau41

          It was typical political propaganda.

      • Taurnil Oronar

Just a minor nit there Trevor; Many of the people in our government are corrupt to the core.

That’s not to say those same corrupt people haven’t created some absurd laws, laws that are against God, oppressive, etc that make up our government. I just tend to focus on the knuckleheads in it since they are the ones pushing the buttons, twisting the knobs and operating the levers.

    • DeusLoVult

He’s been in office for just a few months. Look at all the turmoil in Washington. I think he’s got quite a lot on his plate. We have major internal problems to solve before we do anything else, in my opinion.

      • CTyank

I understand. If he’s sincere, then that is a good thing. I want to hope and think the best of him. But we may just be too far gone and corruption too entrenched for any mere man to turn the ship around. I haven’t become a complete cynic…yet:-)

        • DeusLoVult

Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot we the people can do directly…but he needs our prayers if he is to succeed where everyone else has failed. Evil powers are hard at work trying to subvert his plans and corrupt him. Any good man would find his integrity tested in the President’s shoes.

          • CTyank

            I do agree, DLV.

          • filomena seiffert

There is a solution; boycott elections, military service, goods of big corporations and things will direct selves on the right direction. After trumpest bombed Syria he lost the very fragile trust I could have for him. He is maniac bipolar.

          • DeusLoVult

That’s ridiculous. You are the apogee of absurdity. Say no more to me.

          • filomena seiffert

You are angry because I diagnosed trumpest, it just show me politicians are more important to you God. What is you solution to bring morals to USA? tell me.

          • DeusLoVult

No anger. You are not worthy of such an emotional expenditure. Direct your vile, mocking utterances elsewhere, unseemly woman. I shall simply block you otherwise.

          • filomena seiffert

Thank you, I will do the same to you.

          • Grace Ziem

Well you tried to be civil to her, but, while insisting she is a “Christian” she is playing the heathen game of “get even”. Perhaps we can use her to develop further Christian patience….

          • DeusLoVult

She’s a nasty, vindictive person who addresses others with sneering condescension. I will not entertain it.

          • Taurnil Oronar

Erm. Boycott elections; so remain silent. What does the get you? Nothing. Suppose a candidate wanting to ban the wearing of any religious items anywhere in public got voted in? Your boycott, silence could enable that to become reality.

Boycott military service? Fortunately at this moment we do not have the Draft so to each their own. However if there was a draft you would encourage others to run off to Canada, you would encourage them to violate our laws?

Boycott certain corporations? In this day and age the way our economy exists about the only way anyone can do that to ensure they do not support any “evil” corporation is to go Luddite in the most extreme ways, perhaps to the stone age.

I agree with DeusLoVult below and above. Pray.

          • filomena seiffert

Excuse for everything. If the great majority refused to vote it would send them a message. As for the military is easier because they are not obligated to serve. As to survive is not difficult just buy from small companies, reject HMO products. I can see you are not the type to make sacrifices. Just remember, if you survive a WWIII, you will may starve by famine or radiation or both as you will not find a leaf to eat, the trees have been burnt. The one can not take the cross is not a Christian

          • filomena seiffert

            I mdeant GMO FOOD.

  • DeusLoVult

Caps lock, a definition: “A key on the keyboard that tweenie girls, newbies, and the mentally unstable insist on pressing and using for their entire forum post/IM/text message for reasons unknown.”

    Which one are you?

    • Grace Ziem

Tom is a very angry man. He failed to see the humor of your post. Rage is a blinding emotion…..

      • DeusLoVult

He’s proved himself an idiot, which is what I suspected.

  • So you agree with Christian militancy?
    What about the Crusaders?

  • Grace Ziem

Please show me where Christ says to kill our enemies.

  • Grace Ziem

Trump was reported to have told Erdogan 3 times to release Andrew Bronson. Pence attended the conference on Christian persecution. This is a pretty small start considering the urgency and magnitude of the issue of dying Christians! When the Shoebats do more than Trump; we need to ask SERIOUS questions!

  • “So I Agree with Christian MILITANCY and Fighting for the NAME of the GOD of the CROSS. I Definitely do.!! “What about the Crusaders” They were a Bunch of MURDERING Fools …”

So its okay for an Evangelical to have a military crusade but not the Catholic. Catholic Crusaders bad, but Protestant Crusaders good. Got it.

  • DeusLoVult

So, mentally unstable? Okay, cool. Just wanted to know.
