In the Middle East we call it the “Battle of Tadmor” as Palmyra’s biblical name is Tadmor: “Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and captured it. He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the storage cities which he had built in Hamath. He also built upper Beth-horon and lower Beth-horon, fortified cities with walls, gates and bars …” (2 Chronicles 8:3-5)
Before the arrival of Christianity in the second century, Palmyra worshiped the trinity of the Babylonian god Bel, as well Yarhibol (the sun) and Aglibol (the moon). Christianity then came to teach Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It was later converted to Islam and way later it went under Bashar Al-Assad’s secular regime to be later taken by Islamist ISIS and then retaken by Bashar this Sunday via Russia’s aid. The fight by Russia for Syria against ISIS is a plus for the Christians in Syria.
ISIS captured the city in May 2015 and began blowing up some of the major landmarks. However, it used the 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheatre to conduct public executions. The red circles and the other stains is the blood stains of the shot and beheaded victims. They now stain the ground which a Russian drone flying over the 2,000-year-old amphethetre in Palmyra filmed. The world is reversing course where Roman Amphitheater is put back to business as it was in pagan times.
The defeat at Tadmor sends an unmistakable message to Turkey’s intervention into Syria or Iraqi territory. For ISIS to survive it will need a lot of support from its ally and mother Turkey. The weakening of ISIS in Syria, Iraq and also in Libya would mean that it will focus more on attacks in Europe.
Islamic revolutions are anti-tribal and anti-nationalist sovereignty. Besides Russia and Hezbollah, what contributed in the defeat of ISIS in Syria was Al-Sheitat tribal forces. This is also the case in Libya where tribes are involved. The real opposition from the Libyan military and from movements around the tribes, which are coalescing towards getting the monarchy back into play to galvanize the country against ISIS.
ISIS is now on the defensive. It will require a lot more support from Turkey if it will survive. This is the beginning of the end of Al-Baghdadi’s dream for a Middle Eastern caliphate. The dream of world domination following a showdown with the West (as we always maintained) must come from a Caliphate from Turkey, not ISIS, as we always said. As far back in October 2014, we accurately predicted:
“But what is the endgame? What we should ask is this: why would Turkey allow the pawn [ISIS] it created and aided to be sacrificed in the end? Turkey created ISIS …The plan is obvious, it is to oust Bashar Al-Assad which has quite the implications. Firstly the Turkish-Russian differences over Syria could easily deepen, with adverse consequences for both parties, in coming months or years. Despite vigorous efforts by Russian and Turkish policy makers, differences over Syria threaten to disrupt what has been a harmonious relationship. Leaders in Ankara are calling for President Bashar al-Assad’s immediate departure, while Moscow continues to support his regime if not al-Assad personally. In the future, we will begin to see the rift between Russia and Turkey.”
This, rift and confrontation between Turkey and Russia already come and gone and will continue. We predicted to exact accuracy, Russia and Turkey had its fallout. Even before that, in August, 2014, we predicted: “Turkey by design intends to usher itself as a savior by creating, aiding and abetting its pawn, ISIS, to make havoc than intervene to end the crisis in order to bolster its image and the ideal Islamic state by Muslims and the West.”
ISIS as we always maintained is the prep-work by Turkey where the Muslim is always sacrificed. The Muslim terrorist and the Muslim immigrant into Europe are simply pawns, sacrificial lambs to the slaughter if you will. The bigger players always use the rank and file for a bigger goal. We also stated that the ISIS philosophy will never succeed:
“The only way to introduce the grand Caliphate that will be acceptable and palatable by the Muslim world both secular and religious is to introduce the non-Wahhabi brand of Sufi Islam, which is considered peaceful by the West. But this will unite both Shiite Iran and Sunni Turkey since Sufis respect Shiite faith and their religious icons, Hassan and Hussein. This will create a grand scale Muslim coalition (Ezekiel 38) and will dismantle what Syches Picot accord did in fracturing the Ottoman Empire.”
And as we said, ISIS is simply the stepping stone, the sacrificial lamb. For Ezekiel 38 to happen and for the end to be at the door, much has to happen first, and unlike the rushing buffs, things take time, so start unpacking your Rapture Ready suitcases and start learning Christian patience by getting serious studies instead of hype.
But if it is any consolation to the speedy Gonzales, Turkey today announced the process for a new constitution is to be accelerated. The changing in set times and laws is at hand where Erdogan will soon become Caliph.
