Franklin Graham was in Iraq recently and recounted how he and his team met with Iranian militias who are fighting ISIS, and how they recounted to them: “We are here to kill ISIS, and after we kill ISIS, we’re going to kill Americans,” as we read in one report:
Commenting on his recent travels in Iraq, Reverend Franklin Graham said there are numerous Iranian militias there fighting alongside the Iraqi army to destroy ISIS, but as the militia’s told him, after they destroy ISIS, they plan on killing Americans who are there.
As head of the international Christian relief group Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham has been providing humanitarian aid to the thousands of people, Christian and Muslim, displaced by ISIS’s genocide in Iraq and Syria.
During a May 2 interview on Washington Watch, hosted by Tony Perkins, Rev. Graham discussed the persecution of Christians worldwide and what he saw in Iraq during his trip there in April.
When ISIS attacked Mosul and villages in northern Iraq, Christians were given about one hour to pack their things and flee, said Graham. Their homes and property were taken. Now, the Iraqi government apparently has no intention of helping the displaced Christians, said Graham.
“They don’t want them to return,” he said. “They want the land. They want these villages.”
Rev. Graham continued, “The Iranians are there to fight ISIS. There’s a large Iranian army inside of Iraq fighting alongside the Iraqi army that we’re supporting.”
“And the Iranian militias that we have run into have said, ‘We are here to kill ISIS, and after we kill ISIS, we’re going to kill Americans,’” said Graham.
“So, we’re just trading one form of Islamic extremism for another.”
Its an interesting story. But I would not be surprised at all that this will one day be used as propaganda to support regime change in Syria, since Assad is an ally of Iran.
