Of course when speaking about “fundamentalists” he means Christians any anybody who might disagree with forced Islamization of their children. Because Muslim Children would not be forced to learn about Christianity if they were “offended,” but it is not so the other way around.
It is strange and sad to watch the Church of England outright cut its own throat and they try to force others to follow its example:
Parents should lose the right to withdraw their children from religious education lessons because it is being exploited by those who do not want their offspring to learn about Islam, a senior Church of England official has said.
It was also being used by parents with “fundamentalist” beliefs who did not want their children to learn about other world views, according to the head of RE in the Church of England’s education office. Pupils risked being left with little understanding of religious belief and without the skills to live in a modern and diverse country, Derek Holloway warned.
At present parents can insist that their children take no part in RE lessons and do not have to provide a reason.
Seemingly [some parents] do not want their children exposed to other faiths and world views, in particular Islam. We are concerned that this is denying those pupils the opportunity to develop the skills they need to live well together as adults.”
“Anecdotally, there have also been some cases in different parts of the country of parents with fundamentalist religious beliefs also taking a similar course. This is not confined to any one particular religion or area of the country.”
Even in a world gone mad, you still cannot make this up.
