Reading the news for us has taken on a cinematic quality, with each day’s news showing another prophecy as though one was in a movie except that it isn’t a movie- it’s real.
Pope Francis made a statement recently about North Korea and the potential for a nuclear war that would come from conflict over it and its consequences for humanity that have me gravely concerned. In his words per CNN:
Pope Francis said Saturday he worries that rising tensions between the United States and North Korea could lead to a wide military conflict that would wipe out a “large part of humanity.”
He called for renewed diplomacy using third-party intermediaries and for the United Nations to take a lead role in de-escalating tensions.
The Pope, while returning to Italy from Egypt, took several questions from reporters and one asked him what he would say to world leaders at this critical moment.
Francis said in Italian that the situation “has heated up too much. I always appeal for a solution through diplomatic means.”
The pontiff, who has spoken of a “piecemeal third world war” for several years, said increased conflict would be devastating.
“It’s piecemeal but the pieces are getting larger, and are concentrated in places which were already hot,” Pope Francis said. “Today a wider war would destroy, I won’t say half of humanity, but a large part of humanity and culture. It would be terrible. I don’t think humanity today could bear it.” (source)
Note the words I highlighted. He’s talking about nuclear war.
Nuclear war has been a threat since America tested the atom bomb on Japan in 1945. While the Japanese were evil, America’s actions opened the door for the first time in history for the usage of nuclear weapons on a population. The threat of them being used has been alive and well since 1945 and for many years has been the subject of “doomsday” science fiction stories because of the capacity for destruction which these weapons possess over such a large amount of people.
The world has come close to nuclear war more than once in the last 70 years, with perhaps the most famous incident being the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, in which the USA and the Soviet Union conflicted with each other over plans by Soviet Presdient Nikita Krushchkev to place nuclear weapons on Cuba to undercut the missile capabilities of the USA as part of Operation Anadyr. Tensions were rising, and both the US Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Cuban Government (along with the infamous Ernesto “Che” Guevara) advocated for nuclear strikes on each other. Yet miraculously, Krushchkev backed down and withdrew the missles, ending the crisis.

Now one might call Krushchkev the aggressor, and that is certainly legitimate. However, one must also agree that his actions stopped a nuclear war because both the USA and Cuba wanted one. Indeed, it was the chief actions on the part of the Soviet Union that did this- NOT the USA.
Looking at today however, the same cannot be said about America. To the contrary, the USA has been provoking nuclear war with Russia by doing the exact same thing that the USSR did in Cuba in the form of placing large missile systems capable of delivering nuclear weapons right on Russia’ doorstep in the nations of Norway, the Baltic countries, and Poland, thus not only placing them within less than half-a-day’s driving distance of Russia main cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also completely surrounding the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, which Russia has controlled since 1945 and is a source of historical tension between herself and Germany.
While there is much blame to go around on all sides, nobody can deny that America and her allies are encircling Russia using an extensive amount of propaganda to build up anti-Russian sentiment as well as causing social and political instability in and around Russian allies or possessions. Russia has been clearly irritated by this, as what America is doing is far more that even the worst of what the USSR did during even the height of the Cold War, and yet still she has not responded with the kind of aggression that the USA was threatening in the past. Regardless what one thinks of him President Putin of Russia puts its well: “Do you realize what you have done?”
This situation with North Korea is no different than the American invasion /occupation /division of Ukraine than it is of her meddling in the Baltic nations or the conflict in Syria right now. The USA is taking down the old dictatorships of the Middle East which were primarily backed by the Soviets, creating instability so that we can inject our prepared solution into those nations, which is to take their resources and build up a platform for the ultimate goal of a war with the Russians.
Indeed, a war with Russia would be absolutely stupid and insane. given the interconnectivity of the world as well as the way which America is perceived now based on her incessant warmongering, any conflict that begins between Russia and the USA would be destructive beyond anything previously imagined. In the words of Paul Craig Roberts:
ot everyone likes to hear about the threat of nuclear war. Some find refuge in denial and say that nuclear war is impossible because it makes no sense. Unfortunately, humankind has a long record of doing things that make no sense.
In previous posts in recent years I have pointed out both written documents and changes in US war doctrine that indicate that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear attack on Russia and China. More recently, I have shown that Washington’s demonization of Russia and President Putin, the incessant lies about Russian deeds and intentions, and the refusal of Washington to cooperate with Russia on any issue have convinced the Russian government that Washington is preparing the Western populations for an attack on Russia. It is obvious that China has come to the same conclusion.
It is extremely dangerous to all of mankind for Washington to convince two nuclear powers that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear strike against them. It is impossible to imagine a more reckless and irresponsible act. Yet this is precisely what Washington has done.

Yes, Washington is sufficiently criminally insane to risk the destruction of life on earth based on the supposition that Washington’s offense will work perfectly and Russia and China’s capabilities will be so degraded that no retaliatory response will occur.
One might hope that the American and Western populations would be outraged that Washington is so power-crazed that Washington is subjecting all life to such risks. But there is no sign of an anti-war movement. The Western leftwing has degenerated into Identity Politics in which the only threat comes from white heterosexual males who are portrayed as misogynists, racists, and homophopes. The Western leftwing is no longer war-conscious. Indeed, the leftwing has become diverted into such silly irrelevancies as transgender rights to toilets of their choice. Now as all of this is happening, it has been escalating as the the 100th anniversary of a major Catholic prophecy approaches: the revelations of Our Lady of Fatima.
Our Lady of Fatima
On May 13th, 1917, the Most Holy Mother of God, the Theotokos, appeared to three impoverished Portuguese children in the tiny village of Fatima, Ourem Province, Portugal. The village of Fatima dates back to the Crusades and the Portuguese Reconquista, when Catholic soldiers under the leadership of a knight named Goncalo “Muslim Killer” Hermigues led an army under the first King of POrtugal, Alfonso I, in 1258 to destroy a major Islamic stronghold in Portugal and formally establish the Kingdom of Portugal.
According to the history given by Fr. Joao de Brito, Count Hermigues captured the Emir’s daughter, a woman named Fatima, and intended to hold her hostage in the mountains while negotiating terms of surrender. However, he and the woman fell in love and he married her. After defeating the Muslims, renamed a region of Portugal after her new name she took when she was baptised, Oureana (from which Ourem is said to come), and he named a village within in Fatima after her Muslim name. The two were happily married until her death, after which he went into a monastery and died in peace.
The three Fatima Children- Jacinta, Lucia, and Francisco
It was in the tiny village of Fatima that St. Mary revealed herself to these three children- Jacinta Marto, Francisco Marto, and Lucia dos Santos, on May 13th, 1917. The events of that changed history, for unbeknownst to those children, the messages which Mary would give them would come to be regarded as the most important revelation in modern times and some of the most significant in Christian history.
Mary appeared six more times to the children, and the more the children spoke of the revelations the more harassment and disbelief they received, first from their own families, then their village, and finally the local government, which was under the administration of Freemasons who even jailed the small children and made threats of torture against them. But the children maintained what they saw was real, and their words were proven true before thousands of people, believers and non-believers, young and old, great and small at the miracle of the Sun, which was reported by the newspapers and make international headlines.
Fatima’s most pressing message came in the form of three secrets which the Blessed Virgin gave to the children.
The first secret was a terrifying vision of hell, which bears repeating for all of the horror which the children saw in it:
Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror
The second secret was that the First World War would end, but that if men did not stop ceasing to offend God, a second and worse world war would erupt:
You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pope Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world
The third secret is the most controversial. Unlike the first two secrets, which Sr. Lucia revealed in 1941, she maintained that the third secret was not to be revealed publicly until 1960. The secret, which has been seen by every pope since Pius XII and select people, has kept the secret sealed, saying it was so horrible that it had the potential to cause international uproar, as it is said to speak of a mass apostasy and a final battle between God and the demons:
Knowledgeable Church authorities have confirmed Father Alonso’s conclusions about the Third Secret, that it concerns an unprecedented loss of faith, an apostasy, from which Portugal will be preserved. In 1984 the Bishop of Fatima said, “the loss of Faith of a continent is worse than the annihilation of a nation; and it is true that Faith is continuously diminishing in Europe.” And in his 1984 interview with Vittorio Messori, Cardinal Ratzinger confirmed this conclusion when he said that the final part of the Secret speaks of “dangers threatening the faith and life of Christians, and therefore the world.” (source)
While the Third secret was “officially” released in 2000, there are many people who say that significant parts of it are still missing, and their criticism has not gone unnoticed. Antonio Socci, a famous Italian Catholic investigative journalist is one among many who have said that the “revealed” secret is only revealed in part, and that a careful analysis of the texts shows parts that are missing. This has created a major division among Catholics serious about their Faith, and for good reason, because the nature of the third secret could, if those who believe it has not been revealed in its entirely are correct, the course of human history.
Our Lady of Akita
The fact is that there is no clear answer as to if the Third Secret has ever actually been revealed in its entirely of what the Third Secret of Fatima says. However, for those who have seen it, they have said that the message of Fatima is the exact same message as that of another revelation of the Blessed Virgin in 1971 at Akita, Japan that has been approved by the Catholic Church as valid with the exception that it is more serious. The message of Our Lady of Akita is as follows:
“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
“The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them” (source)
Compare again with the recent words of Pope Francis cited earlier:
“Today a wider war would destroy, I won’t say half of humanity, but a large part of humanity and culture. It would be terrible. I don’t think humanity today could bear it.”
Let’s not mince words. The world right now stands of the edge of a Third World War. This war, if it comes to pass, will involve the use of nuclear weapons. Not a single person will be left unaffected by this war. Billions will die, and the course of human history itself will be changed. That is the reality that even a secular person can see may come to pass if a war starts.
So what is a man to do?
Fr. Nicholas Gruner
The deceased Fr. Nicholas Gruner, a Catholic priest who did not believe the secret was fully released and possibly the most vocal member of the clergy in talking about this, has noted along with many other people that based on what Sr. Lucia has said, the prophesized horrors of the Third Secret of Fatima seem to be tied to the consecration of the nation of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope or his failure to do so as evidenced by the failure of the French Kings to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
On June 17th, 1689, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque began receiving visions of Jesus that became known as the revelation of the Sacred Heart. In these messages, all of which were approved by the Church, St. Margaret was told by Christ that the French Kings- and it could be any one of them- had 100 years to formally work with the Church to have France consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and if they did not do this, then France would be forced to suffer divine chastisement.
The signing of the Tennis Court Oath
Well, while all of the French kings were aware of the message, all of them ignored it. France was never consecrated, and the nation slipped into progressive decline as the Faith waned and evil ideas such as revolution, atheism, and freemasonry increased. Then on June 17th, 1789- exactly 100 years to the day that the revelations of the Sacred Heart of Jesus began- a little noticed event took place in France. That event, held in secret, was the signing of the Tennis Court Oath by a group of would-be revoutionaries. The Tennis Court Oath proclaimed that they, who called themselves the National Assembly, were the true representatives of the people of France and that the French King was subject to their decisions. This act, while small and seldom known by most people, is recognized by all historians as the event which began the French Revolution and from which point there was no turning back, as it was only next month that the famous storming of the bastille took place and which ushered in the reign of terror that destroyed the old rule in France and ushered in the new, godless, Christ-hating, evil changes that have destroyed French society and are continuing to destroy it today as that society succumbs to the Muslim invaders they helped to bring in.
Sr. Lucia citied this example of the French Revolution in a revelation from the Blessed Virgin, except as it applies to Fatima:
As Sr. Lucia said in a message she received from Our Lady in 1931:“Make it known to My ministers that, given they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will follow him into misfortune. It will never be too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.”
As one Catholic blogger, writing nine years ago notes:
Like the Kings of France who disobeyed the heavenly King’s command by delaying the solemn consecration of France for 100 years, the ministers of the Lord who do the same in regard to the collegial consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary “will follow the French king into misfortune.”(source)
It makes you think.
Now as mentioned, all of this is connected to the consecration of Russia by the pope as per the instructions of the Blessed Virgin given at Fatima. This is, like the Third Secret of Fatima, a very hotly contested issue among many Catholics because there are some who believe Russia has been consecrated and some who do not.
If one looks at a timeline, there were two consecrations- one of the world and one of the people of Russia made respectively in 1942 and 1952 by Pope Pius XII. These consecrations were renewed in 1982 and 1984 by Pope John Paul II. However, there are two points here. First, that the consecrations were NOT specifically of Russia, and with that second, they were not per the standards which The Blessed Virgin gave to Sr. Lucia, namely that the consecration was to be done by the Pope and either (a) with all the bishops of the world joining him at the Vatican to do so or (b) with the order given that the Bishops throughout the world are to join him at a specific time and date in making the consecration in their respective dioceses on pain of obedience.
Neither of these conditions were met.
Many good things in Russia have happened, and much of which is attributed to the consecrations, including the end of World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia has become much more Christian friendly that it was under the Soviet Union, and even the relations between the Catholics and the Orthodox have improved. These are good and notable things. However, to notice this would be simply to see individual trees and fail to note to broader forest.
Russia is still, sadly, a huge mess with major, major problems. It has one of the highest abortion rates in the world, and is currently going through a major drug as well as disease epidemic that has not abated for decades. Alcoholism is still rampant, and the nation’s population continues to shrink as people will not get married, the divorce rate is as almost as high as that in the US, and they refuse to have children. While many Russian associate with the Orthodox Church, as is with many people, their Christianity is sociocultural and not related to anything they may actually believe or practice even tangentally. There is still a lot of animosity towards the Catholic Faith, and while progress has been made it has been very slow and painstaking.
If these few problems- few in comparison to the even more that are listed- are not enough to show by the fruits of the nation that the Fatima consecration was not done because the fruits of the conversion have not come forth, then one only needs to ask President Putin and his cabinet themselves, for it appears that Putin himself may have personally asked Pope Francis to do the consecration of Russia.

In the Bible, the Assyrian Commander Naaman was struck with leprosy. The Israeli prophet Elisha told him that God wanted to heal him, and that to do so he would have to bath seven times in the Jordan River. Naaman thought it was stupid, and he tried countless other cures, all of which were to no avail. After no success, it was a pagan advisor who mentioned that he should at least consider what Elisha said, because he had no other options left, and it was as soon as Naaman listened to Elisha that he was instantly healed of his leprosy after the seventh wash.
Times change but people and principles do not. The world right now is flying at full speed towards a massive war and it seems there is no way to stop the disaster, and nothing seems to have worked so far.
Given the circumstance, just like with Naaman, what does anybody have to lose with a consecration of Russia at this point? Indeed, there is nothing to lose and everything to potentially gain.
