The recent acceptance of sodomite organizations by way of providing financial support has shocked the American Evangelical lovers of the famous chicken fast food chain “Chick-Fil-A”. Once lauded as one of the only businesses who would “stand up” to the power of the sodomite lobby, they have quickly choked off their previous position as they admit they are attempting to sell more chicken sandwiches in demographically “blue” areas of the country. This has caused much shock and anger among their formerly strong supporters.
Now based on a recent interview, it appears that another major Evangelical-friendly business will be next to follow this year. This comes after statements from the CEO of the Hallmark Channel in which he stated that he would be open to having films with sodomites as characters in lead roles.
Despite having built a huge audience by providing a reliable, safe refuge for family viewing during an era when even Disney offers a minefield of pro-LGBT programming aimed at kids, the head of Hallmark’s parent company indicated that “Hallmark is ‘open’ to doing any type of movie — including with gay leads,” according to a Hollywood Reporter interview.
“I’m gay, where are the same-sex movies?” asked one of the interviewers during a Hollywood Reporter podcast. “Have you talked about incorporating stories about same-sex couples at Christmas?”
“We’re open to really any type of movie of any type of relationship,” declared Abbott.
The interviewer lamented that when she and her “wife” visit relatives during the holidays, the TV is tuned to the Hallmark Channel 24/7 but the type of relationship she and her “wife” have is not reflected in any of the programming.
The interviewer pressed Abbott about whether Hallmark is dedicated more to building a large, broad audience than it is to representing the diversity of “the society that we’re in.” The CMFN CEO said, “In terms of broadening out the demographic, it’s something we’re always thinking about, always considering.” (source)
I made similar comments in my previous piece about Chick-Fil-A, and those bear repeating but in a slightly modified context.
If one is a Christian in the US today, one should not be surprised at all of what is happening. Mark Twain may have famously said that “There are lies, damned lies, and then statistics”, but statistics also give us a strong insight into what people are thinking and believe, especially among popular society.
The fact is that all statistics consistently support a view that the support of sodom is mainstream now. 63% of all Americans support sodomite marriage, that number jumps to 75%-80% when just Millennials and Zoomers are concerned, and if one extrapolates these numbers into support of the act of sodom itself, those numbers jump to 93% support.
It is not unreasonable to say that at the current time, any law could be passed that gives support to all things sodom. As the Boomer generation starts to pass away, it will become possible, in the political sense, to pass a Constitutional Amendment in support of sodom if it was so desired to do this, if it is not possible already.
In the words of E. Michael Jones, America is a gay disco, and at this point, these words may even be too mild, for while the exact events of what happened at that horrible city on the plains of Middle Ghor have been lost to history, the US is likely worse that Sodom and all of her sister cities combined, for she is committing the same sins but has now been able to multiply the effects on her people, over a larger number, and then to the entire world and to force people to accept such evil deeds lest they suffer social and political repercussions.
People talk about the Trump catchphrase to “Make America Great Again,” but how can one be great if he is not at least attempting to correct serious moral wrongs? Everybody has their sins, and individual sins form the collective sins that plague any nation, regardless of what they are, as nations are made of people and larger effects are the sum of smaller actions. But when such a sin so heinous as one that cries out to Heaven for vengeance is elevated alongside her sister sins of the willful murder of the innocent, the oppression of the poor, widow, and orphan, and the deprivation of the working man of his justly earned wages, and then those who attempt to speak against or rectify the situation are viciously attacked by the whole of society, it does not bode well for the future of that society.
It is not an accident that Christianity is in decline, or that businesses that once catered to Christians are now giving up their support of Christian causes no matter how large they are, because they see the proverbial “writing on the wall.” Christianity in the US is no longer a mainstream thing. It has been reduced to a social subculture and will continue to stay that way and likely decline into a disliked and persecuted subculture by mainstream society, and far more than what it already is. It is not worth trying to claim “freedom of religion” because that is just a trope, for even the USSR claimed “freedom of religion” for her citizens, but the fact is in practice, atheism and agnosticism was enforced and if one was a Christian, one would not see one’s rights “respected”, but would be harassed and mistreated, if not sent to a “State Camp” (GULAG) in the Far East, or just disappear and never be seen ever again.
Businesses exist to make money. To make money, one needs to appeal to the the things that people like. There are different subcultures, but one cannot become too isolated lest one fail to make any money, even if it is the truth, for people do not pay often for truth, but to hear the things they want to hear, which usually is not the truth.
Hallmark may be a “family” company, but they still exist to make money, and in true American form, they will if need be sacrifice principle for profit. They know that given the political and economic future, it is going to be the support of sodom for now, and they want to see their long-term profits secured.
Instead of becoming “outraged” and angry about what happens, it is rather for those who are Christians and sincerely car to return to their traditional customs, or perhaps, to forge new ones by finding those things which they love, give meaning, and connect their faith with life in a way that marks the passing of time and the generations. One may like certain television shows and forms of entertainment, but Christianity has never been conditional on the support of this, and it still is not for most people in the world.
The winds of change are blowing across the land, and while one cannot fight the weather, one can be prepared for it and make the best. After all, what is the better way to spend a stormy day- screaming in the rain and getting soaked and possibly hit with lightning, or inside with a book and a nice warm drink?
