Erdoğan’s statement to his detractors “obey the state or persih” is beginning to show a narcissistic character causing alarm in Turkey and Europe. His aim to control the northern hemisphere while ending secularism in Turkey is causing his opposition to question of this is a man who wants to make the world tremble.
The term “parallel structure” was invented by Erdoğan to refer to the faith-based Gülen movement inspired by the Turkish scholar Fethullah Gülen, who lives in self-exile in the US.
Speaking to reporters on board a plane returning to Turkey from an official visit to Kuwait on Tuesday, Erdoğan hinted that the government will step up efforts to re-shape the bureaucracy by introducing more radical measures against the “parallel structure.”
“They [referring to the “parallel structure”] will respect state authority or will perish. We will [begin to] make different decisions after tomorrow’s [Wednesday’s] National Security Council [MGK] meeting,” Erdoğan told the reporters.
Chairman of the Felicity Party (SP) Mustafa Kamalak, in his interview with Today’s Zaman, lashed out at Erdoğan’s remarks saying that “There is no such thing as obedience to the state. This is not a legal term. In a state, respecting the rule of law is the [only] principal. There is not any obedience to the state but instead there is respect [for the law]” said Kamalak.
Republican People’s Party (CHP) deputy Celal Dinçer told Today’s Zaman that “Erdoğan sees himself as not as the head of a democratic state in Turkey but head of a non-democratic country in the north” referring to Russia and the Republics.
The “north” is something of an enigma. Erdoğan’s most recent comments put the last nails in the coffin of secularism in Turkey, in particular, Erdoğan’s controversy about the Diyanet, Turkey’s official religious institution established in 1924 after the abolition of the Ottoman Caliphate. And now, Diyanet under Erdoğan has become not only the state directorate for religious affairs but has seen its international office markedly expanded under Erdogan’s rule to the northern hemesphere.
“Especially in the Balkans and the Caucasus, its influence has been broadened since 2005 in countries like Macedonia, Albania, but most importantly Bosnia,” notes Professor Istar Gozaydin, an expert on religion and the state in Turkey. “It is part of their Ottoman nostalgia to be the so-called ‘older brother’ to these countries.”
But Turkey has found itself in competition with other Muslim countries, especially Saudi Arabia, which has for decades been splashing its oil money around the Islamic world with few serious rivals. Turkey’s mosque offer to Cuba followed a similar proposition from Saudi Arabia.
But the Balkans is the main region for rivalry where this red dragon is pointing its horns “In the beginning, there was competition, especially in Bosnia, with the construction of mosques, trying to get hold of the communities around them,” observers Professor Gozaydin, who has travelled extensively in the region and written on the subject. “I observed that they came to some kind of understanding; a complementary relationship developed. But now, once again, we are seeing competition.”
Erdoğan wants to sit on the mount of the congregation in the regions of the North (Isaiah 14:13). This is not not only our observation, but is now on the lips of the major opposition party to Erdogan.
You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north (Isaiah 14:13)
To Erdoğan, his opposition is perplexed as to why he is so focused on the regions of the North, the Central Asia’s C.I.S nations and Russia. But these secular analysts do not read the Bible. This region, which deputy Celal Dinçer is referring to, is the goal of the Antichrist and now has become the goal of Turkey which Turkey today takes the lead in what the Bible predicted that Antichrist will do in the region of the North: Meshech, Tubal, Gomer and Beth Togarmah.
While some interpret Isaiah 14 as being Lucifer’s pride in his five “I will”, this being in his angelic form, others interpret it as historically the King of Babylon. While both sides are confused, it is crucial to see that Isaiah 14 speaks of two individuals in one: Lucifer in his human form “is this the man that made the earth tremble” (v.17) and is said to rule from Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-13) which Christ proclaimed would be the future seat of Satan (Antichrist). This “mount of the congregation” is on the sides of the northern lands in Asia Minor—Turkey as well as expanding in the horizon of the northern regions. It is in Turkey that the Seven Churches and the Seven Lamp stands were. And it is in Turkey where they were removed. These are no small issues to ignore.
There is more to this mindset of Erdoğan than what politicians see. It is as if there is another link, not from a political mindset or “from above” as Erdoğan loves to claim he has been appointed by Allah and is even granted worship, but all this stems from below, from the abyss.
What Erdoğan wants to be, is no longer a secret or is it a presumption as we were accused of a decade ago, today it is known what Erdoğan wants to become.
“Erdoğan sees himself as a sultan. The Turkish people love democracy and neither the Turkish people nor the CHP will show obedience to him,” said deputy Celal Dinçer.
All this is not our words, but the words of major officials in Turkey.
Even our analysis, that Turkey’s sphere will cover the north and will fail in the West is becoming widely accepted while many falsely focused on the West being the center of the abyss. Erdoğan’s denial of the Armenian Genocide did not bode well with Europe. This comes as a slap in the face to all who promote the idea that there is no hope for Europe, a continent that while indeed it has fallen away from its Christian roots, yet did much better than the United States when it comes to it’s ardent defense of the Armenian Genocide. Erdogan’s denial of the Armenian Genocide was met with Europe’s rejection.
We have much hope for Europe when Turkey invades it and Turkey will eventually loose at the Rhine and Italy when the European Ships of Chittim goes against him in World War III. Whoever said that we focus only on the Muslim world as being the battle of Armageddon speaks falsely. Armageddon is a worldwide conflict where Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the US … are all involved while the Middle East is simply the eye of the storm.
And lately Turkey‘s backlash against European countries that have called the 1915 killings of Armenians during the final days of the Ottoman Empire “genocide” will complicate Ankara’s ambitions to join the European Union, the commissioner in charge of EU enlargement told a newspaper on Thursday.
Commissioner Johannes Hahn told Austrian newspaper Der Standard that Ankara’s “very harsh” reaction should be seen in the context of elections coming up in June. “This may be quite popular in parts of the country and among certain parts of the population. But what worries me are the long-term consequences,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
“The seeds of an anti-European and anti-Western stance are thus sown, which from today’s perspective makes a future [EU] entry very difficult,” he added.
The European Parliament this month also backed a motion that called the massacre “genocide,” days after Pope Francis provoked fury in Turkey by using the same term.
Vice President of the EP Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, speaking on the Europe Desk program aired on Samanyolu Haber TV on March, said that he personally did not see the “parallel state” theory as “credible.”
“We have people here in Brussels who read Turkish, speak Turkish and understand Turkey rather well and travel to the country quite regularly. None of them really think there is this big parallel state structure. There used to be a parallel state in Turkey, we should not forget that. That was the army. There is one thing that the AK Party government has really achieved for Turks, and that is to put the army back to its barracks where it belongs. It should not try to create a new parallel state just to have somebody to fight against. I think the theory is not really plausible,” said Lambsdroff.
All this gets to the main issue at hand: Erdoğan one day loves Fethullah Gülen then he hates Gülen, loves Abdullah Gül then hates Gül, he one day all of the sudden wants peace with the Kurds, yet another day he flips on them and at one point in time he loved Bashar Al-Assad then hates Bashar. Before, he hated the Jews and now he is approaching them with promises of peace … one could find a litany of evidences to show Erdoğan’s double-mindeddness.
God in the Bible links double-mindeddness with the devil:
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up” (James 4:7-10).
Submission to God in trust and humility, not pride and double-mindeddness, is what enables one to resist the devil while the opposite brings the individual closer to the devil who is the source of such double-minded behavior.
