Islam has already shown its desire to do this in America and Europe. The only reason it has not yet is because it does not possess the necessary military power and political clout it needs. But mark my words, what happened to these three pastors is coming to the West very soon:
The three pastors and three church members were arrested and briefly detained on 6 October in the town of Wad Medani when they refused to hand over a school run by their evangelical church.
“While in custody, they were questioned by police over the reasons for disobeying the orders. They were released on bail later the same day. It is not clear if further legal action is planned,” a source told Open Doors.
Five other churches – three belonging to the Sudan Church of Christ, one to the Presbyterian Church and the other to the Episcopal Church – have been told their buildings will be demolished.
Open Doors’ source said officials told churches “their land had been assigned for investment”. (source)
Islam seizes Churches because it is a mark of conquest for them- to desecrate a spot designated for Christ with their prayers and rituals to the false diety Allah. Many of the great Muslim mosques today are almost all built on the ruins of captured and desecrated Churches in the ancient world.
The Spaniards had the correct attitude for dealing with Muslims. When Muslims took over churches, they did not see it as being “lost” to the Muslims, because that space was truly consecrated for God. It was, instead, temporarily occupied by the enemy, but unrighteously. That means it could be illegally occupied for centuries– but neverthless, with man’s efforts and God’s hand, eventually these churches would be reconquered and restored to their rightful places. This is the entire basis of the reconquista, since it presumes at its essence that Islam possesses nothing except that which it has stolen, and it is the moral imperative of Christians to reclaim for Christ that which the enemy has stolen.
Do not think that just because a person has “given up” or even “sold” a church or a holy place to the Muslims means that it is lost. The ancients did not think so- instead, they saw it correctly as something worth fighting and dying over as a part of the temporal manifestation of the battle between good and evil that was also raging in the Heavens for the souls of men.
