A six-year-old girl who was kidnapped by ISIS terrorists was reunited with her family three years after she was taken captive according to a recent report:
A six-year old Iraqi Christian girl, Christina who was kidnapped by the terror group ISIS reunites with her family after three years. The girl was abducted when she was three years old, finds her way back to home June 9. Her mother Aida Nuh says: “The best day of my life is the day when Christina came back.
The little girl was taken away by the militants in August 2014. Christina resident of Qaraqosh was snatched from her mother. “She stayed three years with the terrorists. Of course she forgot who her mother is, who her father is, that we are her family, but she will learn again.”
On August 22, 2014 the militants from ISIS forced Christian families left in Qaraqosh to flee. The little gril was snatched when she was in minibus along with her family and other Christians running from the terror group ISIS. Her mother Aida was holding her, when the militant snatched her away despite the fact that Aida resisted.
Christina’s family started painstaking endeavor to find her through the help of their Arab friends. After years of struggle, Christina’s family received a phone call telling them that Christina had been found in Hayy Al Tanak, in the city of Mosul. As a result of the US-backed military offensive Mosul has been liberated from the clutches of the terror group ISIS.
“We went to a dirty place in Hayy Al Tanak , we took the child,” Christina’s father, Khader Touma said. Christina’s two sisters and two brothers fled to the Kurdish territory in order to escape violence. The girl after returning home, said, I’m with mum and dad.” Her family now lives in a makeshift house for the displaced people in Ankawa, a Christian suburb of the Kurdish capital Erbil, east of Mosul. They hope to emigrate, as their home back in Qaraqosh has been completely destroyed by the militants. (source)
