The Gog of Turkey “Erdogan” Threatens The Crusader of Russia “Putin” (The Tension Between Russia and Turkey Is Escalating)

By Walid Shoebat
The Gog of Turkey, president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said his country could not endure Russian violations any longer of its airspace in its campaign in Syria.

Gog y Magog

Russian involvement in the 4½-year-old Syrian civil war seems to be escalating, with NATO’s secretary general confirming Tuesday a second incursion by Russian planes into Turkish airspace and saying Russian ground troops were in Syria as well. The first violation of Turkey’s airspace is reported to have happened Saturday. The second was Sunday, officials said.

Now even CNN says:

The tension between Russia and Turkey, however, appears to be escalating. The two countries are at odds over the civil war in Syria, with Russia backing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Such escalation came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who now threatens Russia: “an attack on Turkey means an attack on Nato“. He then added:

“If Russia loses a friend like Turkey, with whom it has been co-operating on many issues, it will lose a lot, and it should know that”.

THEY GOT THE WRONG GOG
For how many years we have been saying it, that Russia and Turkey will eventually have a major fallout while others said (even used the Bible) arguing that they will become great allies?

So much for both, the secular, and the so-called prophecy analyst, who take the biblical text out of context or think that economy is the only building block for alliances.

No stupid. Religion and correct understanding of history is the main drive in world affairs much more than it is the economy.

One of the most major errors the West did is that it added Muslim Turkey as member of NATO in 1952, and alliance rules say that an attack on any of the 28-member states should be treated as an attack on all.

So now the entire relationship between Turkey and Russia is at stake while so-called Christian nations will stand on the side of Turkey, an Antichrist nation, instead of Orthodox Russia.

And now you wonder how so many will err and support Antichrist, even including so-called Bible believing Christians? While I will deal with that issue in more detail later, the question is: who is truly encroaching on who? Is Russia encroaching on Turkey’s sphere?

We have maintained that Russia’s relationship as well as China’s relationship with Turkey will eventually erode: “unpleasant news from the east (China) and the north (Russia) will alarm him (Antichrist)” (Daniel 11:44). And today the evidence cannot be any clearer.

HERE IS WHAT THEY WILL NEVER TEACH YOU IN SUNDAY SCHOOL
The situation in Syria is only the tip of the ice-berg. The world is up-in-arms when Russian jets enter into Turkish airspace while no one sounds a peep when the Muslim Tatar in Ukraine’s Crimea complain about Orthodox Russia’s expansion into the Ukraine, a landmass that was always part of Orthodox Russia since 1783.

To an Antichrist loving world, it is okay for the Muslim Gog of Turkey to expand into Syria by exporting terrorists all the way from China’s Uyghur while at the same time send floods of Muslim immigrants to Europe. The world ignores that such a “friendship” between Russia and Turkey are hindered by the Islamist uprisings influenced by Turkey against a Russian ally: Syria. An Islamist takeover of Syria will threaten  Russia’s interests in the Tartus naval base, (its only Mediterranean proxy naval opening). That including Turkey’s establishments of an Islamic alliance which will contradict Russia’s and China’s interests and is why Turkey will be threatened from the East (China) and the North (Russia) in the future battle of all battles.

Few understand the schism and conflict. From China we have the Muslim Urumqi uprising in Xinjiang’s China with Muslim Uyghur-Turks who sparks major rift in Turkey’s China relations, leading to a boycott of Chinese goods and China not wanting to lose the Xinjiang region to Turkey. The Xinjiang issue continues to rankle, Turkey adopting its Islamist heritage, that with a rift with Russia will cause it to eventually crumble. Now you know what this “unpleasant news from the east” (China) is all about.

Crimea is crucial for defeating Antichrist Turkey. The Almighty by Russia taking the Ukraine is perhaps removing the only buffer between Turkey and Russia and is setting up the launching pad for Russian airstrikes and submarines cross the Black Sea into Turkey to defeat it.

MapLarge

It was Turkey who betrayed Russia by going to bed with Ukraine. Turkey’s betrayal of Russia includes an elaborate buildup of a military alliance with Ukraine. Ukraine opposes a planned Russian-Turkish natural gas pipeline, the Turkish Stream, which replaces a long-planned South Stream project that would have carried Russian gas to Europe across the Black Sea. Russia will have Turkey in check. Russia is Turkey’s largest energy supplier and it looks increasingly difficult for Turkey to maintain its policy to balance relations with hostile neighbors Ukraine and Russia at the same time. Russia in the Ukraine will eventually neutralize Turkey’s sphere in what was once Russian territory.

The chips are beginning to move on the prophetic pad. In the mountainous Caucasus, Russia has already been strengthening its presence in Georgia’s breakaway territories. Orthodox Russia remains Christian Armenia’s only real patron, a developing bargain with Muslim Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh has the potential to expand Russia’s presence even more and thus reinforce a Russian buffer to the south.

The road to Armageddon is a revival of almost all the ancient conflicts between the children of God and the children of the devil calumniating in the Middle East. This would also include historic Ottoman-Russo wars.

NATO forgets the oil Turkey steals which already has $800 million worth, that ISIS obtained from regions it occupied this year in the Rumeilan oil fields in northern Syria — and most recently Mosul. They have laid pipes from villages near the Turkish border at Hatay. Similar pipes exist also at the Turkish border regions of Kilis, Urfa and Gaziantep transfering the oil to Turkey and parlay it into cash taking the oil from the refineries at zero cost. Turkey has a foundation in NATO and unlike Iran it can tremendously influence the West while it uses Bashar Al-Assad as its scapegoat devil.

You will never learn in Sunday school how Turkey, the Red Dragon of Revelation 12, with its two horns (the crescent moon) will “gush forth the flood” of immigration of Muslims unto Christendom as we see happening today, or how the Woman in Revelation 12 will stomp the crescent under her feet. All this is arising as we see in front of our very eyes. As Syria weakens, Turkey is eyeballing not only Syria, but Egypt, Libya and Israel (Daniel 11:43).

THE ETERNAL DANGERS OF MISUNDERSTANDING PROPHECY
At times I am told that error on prophecy does not matter eternally.

Really? Lets toss this idea around.

Truth is that prophecy at times is set in a vague way with allegory. It is written in the same way Jesus set up His parables. Jesus was asked as to why He speaks in parables. His answer was fascinating:

To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive. For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.” (Matt. 13:11-16)

The fool interprets Daniel and Revelation without all the literal references. The Bible is a blessing and is a curse. It is a blessing when one hears and reads what it says and it is a curse when we read into it what it does not say.

Nowhere does the Bible curse Rome, Europe or Russia and in all prophecy it curses “Lydia” (Turkey) “Libya” “Arabia” “Egypt” “Syria” “Greece” (Yavan/Ionia in Turkey) and the list goes on and on. These are all Muslim today, not Orthodox or Catholic. The false Christians will curse Russia and Rome while the true Christian will realize that God chastised Russia and healed it and will also chastise Rome as He will in the future. Many use the Bible, not to express God’s mind, but to express old hatreds for Rome and Russia.

If you think Russia is Gog and Magog click here and get healed

There will be a showdown between Russia and Turkey. Few focus closely on Daniel 11:44, “But then unpleasant news from the east and the north will alarm him”

world-oil-shale-countries-map-east

“news from the north” (Russia) “will trouble the King of the North” (Turkey).

Only Turkey fits. This one little verse alone brings to ruin tons of prophecy books. Had Europe been “anti-Christ,” there are no nations north of Europe, there is nothing but a vast ocean. Antichrist is “north” not “far-north” just “north enough” with someone mightier than him who is north of him: Russia.

europe-map

North of Europe is the Atlantic Sea

This is why the Antichrist is King of the North and he also has an enemy from the north (Russia). All this, while so-called ‘prophecy’ experts are re-drawing the maps to appear that Europe and Rome are Antichrist and harlot. How so, when Europe is in the West of Israel? No where in Scripture do we have a threat from the West and all threats in the Bible are from the north, south and east.

Beware of the blind leading the blind.

Ignoring prophecy is crucial. Calvinists who hated Rome joined the Muslim Ottoman Turk against the Catholic League at Lepanto in 1571. What was their end? They were cursed and defeated drowning with the Muslim. It was at Lepanto in 1571, where English and German Calvinists aided the Muslim Ottomans against what they believed was the Roman Harlot.

Has anything changed? No.

Similarly today, Protestant U.S. (England’s extension) is aiding Turkey’s cause against Russia in Syria while Protestant Germany is accepting whatever the Red Dragon, Muslim Turkey, dishes to its lands with a massive flood (Revelation 12) drawing their curse.

From the Calvinists to now, not much has changed. History will repeat itself in order that God sifts the wheat from the tares, the blind from who sees, the deaf from who hears and the lazy from the hard-working. Ever wonder why the easy-believeism of today hates “works”? You think the owner of the vineyard will tolerate a lazy servant? Ever wonder why they ridicule historic Christian wars with Islam? You think Christ is playing games?

It was at Lepanto when Christian Europe, under the Catholic League finally defeated the Islamic Ottoman Empire in one of the most decisive victories besides the Battle of Vienna in Sept. 11-13, 1683. Protestant U.S. was quite naive, lacked in understanding history to see that connect on why 9-11 happened.

Many are the blind whom in their zeal and hatred for the Russian Orthodox and the Roman Catholic, will praise God while the Muslim praises Allah as they see Europe and Russia suffer in the future. So many cheer for Turkey against Russia. And when Turkey invades Rome they will cry out “Alas, Alas, the Harlot and Gog. There hour is neigh”.

But even this will cause many to heal as Protestant England and Germany in the end praised the Catholic league for defeating the Muslim Ottomans. Christ said “lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.” Christ will heal many. Lest we forget, God in the end chose a Protestant, General Allenby to defeat the Ottomans. But General Allenby was no anti-Catholic and described himself as a “crusader”.

All make mistakes. While the U.S. feared communist Russia more than Islam, they aided the Afghan Mujahideen against Russia. This was a major mistake similar to what the U.S. did during the Arab Spring. In Afghanistan, U.S. policy gave birth to the Taliban. But that was okay for many, so long Russia’s sphere of influence is depleted. The wise, knew that God will heal Russia.

It was the same blindness, hatred towards Russia’s sphere of influence, that caused the evil outcome in the Arab Spring where even conservative Americans loved the idea of ousting all Russia’s allies, the Arab nationalists, Saddam, and before him, Qhaddafi of Libya and Mubarak in Egypt and now Assad in Syria.

The naive thinks that the U.S. should learn from all the mess when truth is, the mess is all intentional.

The chaos caused by the U.S. has now become the adhesive, or the pitch if you will to unite Muslims. This is what Turkey has been waiting for to rebuild its dream using sympathy for the suffering Muslim to argue for Muslims to immigrate by the millions to the Protestant parts of Europe who welcomed Muslims as they did at Lepanto.

Christ does not honor the stupid. General Allenby was no stupid man.

Detail_of_Allenby_Entering_Jerusalem

General Allenby marches on foot into Jerusalem after defeating the Muslim Ottomans refusing to ride car, horse or even donkey in honor of Christ.

Understanding history and biblical geography is key. Ever wonder why most of the so-called prophecy students are lousy on history and geography?

Many of the foolish use outlandish maps drawn up by amateur theologians. The wise follow maps that are drawn by serious historians. No wise will visit a car mechanic to pull out a decayed tooth. Nevertheless, many should somehow replace their decayed hearts no matter how they do it.

People here depress themselves thinking that Christianity is over. Truth is, Christianity is alive and well. Christ’s Church is alive and well. All one has to do is to find that narrow gate. Christ is calling but you must know how to hear His voice:

“today, Protestant U.S. (England’s extension) is aiding Turkey’s cause against Russia in Syria while Protestant Germany is accepting whatever the Red Dragon, Muslim Turkey”

This is exactly why the USA and all Protestant countries need to desperately be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and enter the fullness of the Christian faith. Protestants do not share in the full deposit of the faith, and history unfortunately repeats itself over and over. Protestant nations siding with the Muslims… against the Catholic and Orthodox.

And we continue seeing these “Protestants” sending missionaries to the “Mary worshiping, idol worshiping” Catholic majority countries of Latin America and the Catholic and Orthodox in Eastern Europe. And YET how many Protestant missionaries are sent to the Muslim lands?

Blessed Virgin Mary pray for the conversion of the United States of America to the fullness of faith in the Church left behind by Christ, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Is it any surprise the USA has a Muslim president… even the post-Christian nations of Europe have never elected or had Muslim heads of state!

Pray for the return of the USA to the Universal Church.

    • DeusLoVult

      Two things:

“This is exactly why the USA and all Protestant countries need to desperately be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary”

Isn’t the Catholic Church supposed to do that? Why don’t they then?

“And YET how many Protestant missionaries are sent to the Muslim lands?”

Should they? There’s about to be a serious war over there. There’s really only one way to administer Christianity to a Muslim majority nation. At the tip of a sword. Defeat them first.

      • Willing to die for Jesus

Catholics pray daily for the conversion of the USA to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It doesn’t have to come from a Papal declaration. This month of October in the Liturgical calendar is devoted to the Holy Rosary. Catholics worldwide pray for the conversion of the USA and the entire world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, just as Our Lady commanded us to do. And Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis have all consecrated their entire papacies to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Our Lady of Fatima, so they too and the Catholic clergy, religious and laity would be praying for this.

        • DeusLoVult

It was Papal decree, in Russia’s case was it not?

          • Kelly ann

            What Papal decree ?

          • DeusLoVult

No idea. I thought the Pope was responsible for it. Was he not?

          • Kelly ann

            Responsible for what exactly?

        • Paladin

The Roman Catholic Church are the exemplary on how to keep cool and civil even the midst of being harass from all sides.

          • SwampLife2002

You have got to be kidding right? I hear hatred on this sight continuously … Hatred of Protestants… Most of you consider yourselves better than Protestants,…. The scriptures tell us we are equal in Christ. I almost quit visit in this sight, but Walid and Theo are Holy Spirit filled men who speak the truth most of the time. Their knowledge or History and The Scriptures help me,

          • Paladin

Nope I’m serious…the RCC is the epitome of keeping cool and civil even when dissing an opponent. We all need to learn from them on how to use politeness as weapon in conversation.

          • Doc

I do not appreciate the hatred of Protestants, either. I consider myself non-denominational, and I willingly accept my catholic brothers and sisters as well as my protestant brothers and sisters, AS LONG AS THEY ADHERE TO JESUS IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. In other words, not Christians-in-name-only. We see through a glass darkly and none of us has 100% of the truth. NONE OF US.

          • Kamau41

Are we supposed to be unified in the Body? If so, then why are you causing such division?

        • SwampLife2002

Julie what does that mean”to the conversion to the immaculate heart of Mary”?

        • SwampLife2002

Where in the Holy Scriptures does Mary command us to do anything?

          • Julie LaBrecque

“Do whatever He tells you.” John 2:5
“Henceforth, ALL generations will call me blessed.” Luke 1:48. And you thought you had the truth from the Bible – seems you are missing parts.

          • SwampLife2002

Seriously, I thought you might quote that … You have taken one verse out of a whole passage, where Mary is simply wanting the best for these people and hinted to Jesus that they were out of wine, He even said, “Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour has not yet come” and in Luke, she is blessed among women for she is The Mother of The Lord, Elisabeth knew she was carrying our Lord because the Holy Spirit told her. We all definitely call Mary blessed because she is! She is not our mother she is the mother of God incarnant! Honestly Julie, u can not pick and choose a verse from a whole passage without considering the whole subject matter. You are so brilliant yet you lack wisdom. Do you consider yourself to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

          • Willing to die for Jesus

Why do you think Catholics aren’t also “filled with the Holy Spirit”? Have you not heard that there are charismatic Catholic services?

I have posted these Catholic Answers videos before, the first by Tim Staples, director of Apologetics and former Baptist now Catholic. The other by Jimmy Akin. They speak about Catholicism and speaking in tongues, or the gift of tongues.

You seem to have problems with a whole host of Catholic teaching, from your seeming presumption that only Catholics can be “filled with the Holy Spirit” (when this isn’t true), to your issues regarding the Virgin Mary to your issue about calling our spiritual leaders “Father” as though only God reserves that title to Himself based on a verse taken in isolation out of the Bible.

Our MALE-only priests are representatives of Christ on Earth ministering the sacraments to Christ’s flock and are called “Father” because priests stand in place of Christ during the Liturgy… just as the all-male disciples called Jesus “Rabbi” or teacher, which is another way of calling Him “Father”.

Anyway, you seem to have a host of questions that only the Holy Spirit could assist in having you see the Truth of Christ’s Church that He left behind, since it was never the intent for the followers of Christ to be “sola scriptura Christians”.

The early Christians had no Bible for a couple of centuries and it was the Church that composed the Books of the Bible until the Protestant Reformation under Luther undid Christian unity in the West, threw away 7 key books in the Bible and did away with the Septuagint, thereby splintering Christianity and damaging the Church to this day contrary to Christ Who decreed that His followers be in ONE Church founded upon Peter.

But first… realize Catholics, too, can be filled with the Holy Spirit! God bless you and may Our Lord and Our Lady reveal to you the fullness of our Christian faith.

. I never ever said you or any Catholic was not filled with the Holy Spirit, I simply asked you specifically if you were? It’s a sincere question? My Father is a devout Catholic and he told me recently that He believes he is filled with the Holy Spirit because he trust Jesus Christ to be His Lord avid savior…Also he told me he had been Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I have seen the evidence of his profession. Since I don’t know you I just thought I would ask . I truly meant no disrespect. I know many Holy Spirit filled Catholics and Protestants.

          • Julie LaBrecque

‘Willing’ is a man, not a woman.

          • SwampLife2002

            I got confused : )

          • jim gazay

He must be confusing “Willaphemia”, she is no longer on here lol!

          • Doc

I believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are exactly what Jesus gave as evidence of which churches are truly following Him, and I will say that applies to both catholic and protestant churches. I have visited many churches where the Gifts of the Spirit were not welcome. The Baptist church I was raised in actually asked the charismatic members to leave IIRC. What a travesty! They should have welcomed them with open arms!

          • Julie LaBrecque

Your church is seriously devoid of studying and understanding the OT – it is the foundation for everything in the NT. Regarding your quote “Woman, what have I to do with thee’- this is a serious misinterpretation – according the Greek, it is ‘what is this to me and to thee.” Does your church actually insinuate that Jesus was dishonoring His mother? That is heresy Swamp, serious heresy – Jesus never broke any commandment, certainly not the commandment to honor your father and your mother. Mary still fills the role of intercessor – this is the role of the Queen Mother in the Kingdom – this too you would know if you studied the OT. Would you share with me HOW your church honors Mary? Do you show or tell the world around you that she is Blessed among Women? You also missed that Elizabeth was not filled with the Holy Spirit until Mary’s greeting reached her ears. Do you believe that every word that Jesus spoke from the Cross is highly significant? You don’t ‘get it’ that Jesus made Mary the Mother of all of His beloved disciples – which is why John doesn’t name himself other than being ‘the beloved disciple’. Do you know that God claims HIMSELF to be the source of her being Praised in all generations? Your church has sold you short, seriously short – my how the protestants have fallen from what their founders believed about Mary.

          • SwampLife2002

julie, you are now putting your spin on my words, of course Jesus did not dishonor his mother. I will find the passage of scripture where he tells his mother to wait, as she tries to interrupt him while teaching … He didn’t dishonor her but He did put her in her place. I will study tomorrow and get back with you as I always glean something from these encounters as I seek truth… Have learned much since our last discussion. : )

          • Julie LaBrecque

Good luck – He didn’t put her in her ‘place’ – that is blasphemy. If He meant to ‘put her in her place’, He wouldn’t have honored her intention – and perform His FIRST public miracle, of which we are told, His disciples began to believe in him.

          • SwampLife2002

I wasn’t talking about that scripture passage of the wedding… I will look it up tomorrow, I’ve got to get some sleep! I’m so tired I got you and “willing” confused…. I am blonde! : )

          • Kamau41

Even Martin Luther honored our Blessed Mother. Review article below. Honestly, how in the world can you out right deny reality?

      • Willing to die for Jesus

I have already discussed about the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Her role in the conversion of the Muslims. Read about Archbishop Sheen, who used to be an archbishop of NY, extremely godly and prophetic man and currently there are plans to beatify him. There is hope for the conversion of the Muslims. Don’t lose hope.

HOWEVER, and this is the key. We must consecrate ourselves entirely and call upon Mary as she is our greatest advocate and her prayers in Heaven are most powerful. But since all the Protestant sectarian splits and thousands and thousands of “Christians” that now exist, the faith has been diluted and Our Lady has been ignored! God isn’t blind to this. The apostasy we see happening is due to the fact the Virgin has been ignored and yet she is God’s most pure human creation. Without her there would be no Christ, no Savior for Mankind.

        And as Abp Sheen wrote:

“As those who lose devotion to her lose belief in the Divinity of Christ, so those who intensify devotion to her gradually acquire that belief.”

So in Protestant nations especially and the apostate Protestant “churches” without any devotion to Our Lady, we see heretical “innovations” since they have abandoned any reverence for Our Lady… who holds the keys to the full deposit of the faith, upholds the Church with Her Son and Christ’s representative on Earth in Rome.

I strongly urge you to read about Our Lady of Fatima and Abp Sheen. Our Lady never said anything about going to war with Muslims that I’m aware of. I’ll listen to Our Lady and Her Son, Our Savior Jesus Christ, as long as I live!

        • DeusLoVult

They may respect her, but Muslims do not consider her to be sinless.

        • DeusLoVult

Some will convert, I know. But it will be a small number. They are so corrupted…..

          • AnthonyM

May be a small number convert, but people convert by the action of the Holy Spirit, not human factor alone.

          • Kamau41

Well said and very true Anthony.

          • DeusLoVult

            Exactly.

          • Paladin

Well, are in need for A LOT of Christian Preachers over her in my country that :
            a. Tells the Truth
            b. Not teaching prosperity gospels
            c. Anti-Pagan ( including anti -Islam).
            d. Subtle in their approach to win the Muslims over.

        • The really slim shady

          Definitely a different gospel.
All about Mary – Jesus a little after thought at the end.

          Mary our “greatest advocate”.
Mary God’s “most pure human creation”.
          Yikes.

          • You support Russia or NATO?

          • The really slim shady

I think NATO is the bad guy, that’s what I’ve been saying.
It’s bigger than Turkey, and it’s not the Caliphate as people are looking for it.

Indeed – there will be a “Caliph” (Antichrist), but his kingdom, power, and influence will be far more vast than I think you are willing to acknowledge.
I think God has got all the right pieces to resist the beast (NATO), namely Russia and China.

          • Paladin

So Turkey is going to absorb NATO? Even if it will spell its own doom, by being kicked in their behind by Russia?
Kid, you really need to learn how geopolitics and military strategies work.
Turkey need NATO to keep Russia in check. With its current power a war of absorption with NATO will only result in Turkey destruction for being at war on two sides.

          • The really slim shady

lol, you don’t have to get into that “kid” stuff. I’m much older than I wish to be; i.e. old enough to know what you’re getting at.

Turkey is a part of NATO, why would it absorb it? It doesn’t need to.
You are only proving my point, “Turkey need NATO”. Exactly.

Turkey’s got nothing compared to NATO, or Russia and China. So how can they be the beast? How are they going to get their Caliphate without one or the other? And if it’s indeed sanctioned by one or the other, who’s Caliphate is it?

The AC’s beast must be a world power, there’s essentially only two of them running things.
(Not that the powers are actually running anything, merely going by the script despite their attempt to do the opposite)

          • Paladin

You are just…playing with words..because you have no other defense.
Tell me what is your proof and logic that Turkey got nothing compared to NATO, Russia and China?
Turkey is one of the most advanced nation on the planet who can go to war with NATO and Russia, if she wishes to. But thats not a strategic choice and have no political advantage and are clearly suicidal, so it choose to be subtle in promoting its presence in the region.
Sure, Turkey needs NATO but its not like your imagination of a global Caliphate absorbing NATO.
If you dont understand how hard it is to rule a nation and maintain sphere of influence correctly, than you are still a little snobbish kid.

          • The really slim shady

Figure out who sets global policy, and then you might have a clue of what im saying – because talking to you is getting us nowhere.

You talk of snobs, not realizing youre the one whos acting smug.

Heaven forbid someone try to show you something, i know its blasphemy to go against the narrative.

          • Paladin

There is no global policy. There is national interest and foreign policy. The UN make resolution and sanctions that are not exactly legally binding for it members to follow it, only politically and economically binding.

          • The really slim shady

You’re right i suppose, there is no global policy. There’s an attempt to make one, yet there is still two sides. The UN does have some power, at least in the west (agenda 21), but it is still not the global power that the Left Behind people think it will be.
I guess I more meant global as in the “west”. The world is west verses east right now; and to me that totally matches up with the prophecy of the last days.

I could be wrong, I’m not trying to claim I’m right. But the facts are quite intriguing.
And I find it harder to believe Turkey will resurrect the Caliphate (that the allies/NATO destroyed) than I do to envision the system that the west has built will become the vehicle used by the Antichrist.

Antichrist has mass appeal – how many people are going to follow an outright Sharia Muslim?

          • theophorus

Turkey is a NATO member. War with Turkey means war with the US/Canada/UK/France/etc etc etc. Turkey doesn’t need to ‘absorb’ NATO, NATO is already a slave to her.

          • Paladin

Yes, I know that but he’s a conspiracist nut that mix the old “European anti Christ” theory with “Islamic Caliphate” and
specifically wants to believe every NATO member are becoming part of the Caliphate…which are utterly ridiculous. Because NATO has different rules about membership and are totally independent toward each other unlike the EU.
This guy confuses NATO ( a military base defense pact ) with EU ( a political entity to eliminate borders ).

I agree with you regardless about prophesy, no human really knows. We can only speculate and weigh the different viewpoints out there… and always be ready for the Second Coming, live a godly life and make sure we’re promoting the culture of life.

          • The really slim shady

I agree. It’s really silly for either side to claim victory, and the only sure bet is to be ready all the time.

I love the times we live in, because we see prophecy unfolding every day it seems. One day there will be no more speculation.

Slim, there was a time I would have lit into you but I don’t want to go there anymore. It comes down to this. You either believe Walid is right or you believe he is wrong. Maybe leaning one way or another. If you believe he is wrong, you should just move on. You are not going to change his mind and it sounds like you are not willing to change yours. You just get yourself all worked up for nothing. Go in peace, man. You will be happier.

          • Jeff

Grandmere, I hope this post finds u in Good Spirits!
I just want to Add my two cents.. Though I have Learned so much from this Site, and Learn more from what everyone of you well intentioned GOD fearing People Say, Id like to just point out that Not even Walid Has all the Answers and is right one hundred Percent of the time!
We are all Looking for the Answers, Even Walid, ( tho in My opinion.. Walid is By far one of the most informed Person I know of) No one Person has or ever will have all the answers until we stand in front of our Maker themselves, and maybe we still wont have all the answers.
We are only Human, our Savior made us that way, But more importantly, He gave us a Spirit. We all as Humans are Going to make mistakes and take wrong Path in our lives.. Its the Good and Love in our souls that GOD will look at in The End, and that’s IF we have Goodness and Love for Him!!!
We are all here on this Site For A reason, and that is to Find our way, Thanks To Walid (GOD Bless him and His) We are able to learn the things we have, But again, In Walid’s Infinite Wisdom.. He May not be right 100 percent of the time!!!
The Important thing, is We are all Discussing this ,and OUR LORD and GOD! and By Doing this we May ALL Find our Way to the RIGHT PATH!
Anyway That’s My Two Cents, GOD Bless You and Yours!!
P.S. I think your a lot further up the Path then me, I look forward to your Post as Much as I look forward to Walid’s Words!!!

          • Julie LaBrecque

You don’t accept that she is your mother? You don’t adhere to scripture. Mary is the most pure human (100% human) creation. You don’t like that God wanted a pure mother for His beloved son?

          • The really slim shady

Not a matter of liking it or not. Wasn’t necessary, and not supported.
Nope, she’s not my mother. Mary was human just as the rest of us, Jesus was the most pure human.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Then you don’t accept scripture. Jesus was human AND divine. Do you see the heresies that develop because you refuse to call her Mother of God?

          • The really slim shady

You know me, i only accept scripture.
I agree Jesus was human and divine, but i dont see any heresies arising by me not promoting Mary to something she wasnt.

Yes, Mary gave birth to the flesh of Jesus – but He existed without her – she did not give birth to God.
She was practically a door into our material existence. Spirit becoming flesh.

Jesus sinless nature came from Him being God, not from Marys virtue.
Jesus didnt have a sinful nature, not because Mary was sinless, but because He had a heavenly father (not an earthly one).

          • Julie LaBrecque

You just proved the point – either Jesus was God when He was incarnate, or he wasn’t – take your pick. Either Mary gave birth to the God-man or she didn’t – take your pick. Where do you get that His sinless ‘nature’ was from God and not Mary? You don’t get it – and is why you are in heresy. Jesus had 2 natures in ONE person – so He had a human nature and a divine nature. You’ve hung yourself to dry.

          • The really slim shady

Jesus was God in the beginning – before being born by a woman. Jesus is one in the same as God. His fleshly body is called Jesus – same deity.

Our sinful nature is passed down by the father’s seed. The seed that comes from a man is inherently sinful. Interesting to note, that Genesis 6 shows that woman can give birth to other entities (angels), who are not under the curse of Adam – but were abolished because they were an abomination.

Jesus did not come from the seed of man – He came from the Holy Spirit. His sinless nature came from the Father.
Yes, He did have two natures, thus the “not my will but yours be done”. But his human nature was not the same as ours is – because it didn’t come from Adam.

Mary gave birth to Jesus, but someone who has been around since the beginning can’t really have a mother in the terms we think of it. It’s sort of like God borrowed her womb.
And that’s not to say that Mary didn’t nurture Jesus, or take care of Him, or act as His mother – but Jesus didn’t need Mary to exist or stay alive.

          • Julie LaBrecque

“But his human nature was not the same as ours is – because it didn’t come from Adam.” This statement of yours is beyond the pale – if Jesus’ human nature was not the same as ours, then He wasn’t truly human, and is not our Brother. If he was not our SAME human nature, why was He tempted? Why did He weep? “but Jesus didn’t need Mary to exist or stay alive.” Do you see your idiocy and heresy from trying to avoid the obvious? You float between heresies depending on what angle you are coming from.

          • The really slim shady

Did pre-sin and post-sin Adam both have human natures? How’s that so when one was sinless and one wasn’t?
Did pre-sin Adam get tempted? See what I’m getting at?

Nope. clearly don’t see any idiocy or heresy in my statements. And I’m sure not trying to avoid anything.

This whole thing started with you trying to prove Mary has a role in salvation…..how did we get here?

          • Julie LaBrecque

Now you are trying to separate Adam just to keep your theory afloat. Adam had ONE nature at all times – human nature. The difference is that both Adam and the Woman, later named Eve after the fall (Wonder why she didn’t keep the name ‘Woman’?). lost the sanctifying grace that both were ‘born’ with. Do you not think that Adam and the Woman had the power to stand up to the temptation of the Devil?

          • Paladin

Through what manner did Jesus come into the world? Through a woman’s womb…St. Mary’s womb, the purest of all the Virgins.
That makes her , HIS MOTHER. So by any logic we should honor and respect her, the Mother of our Savior.

Is that too hard for your radioactive brain to accept?

          • The really slim shady

So then Jesus’ brothers and sisters must have been more pure than us too.

Jesus existed without and beforr Mary. Jesus is God after all.

          • Paladin

But…how is HE incarnated into the world? Answer that first.
Also Jesus’s brothers and sisters are not related by blood, they are the children of St. Joseph from an earlier marriage.
St. Mary is a Perpetual Virgin.

          • The really slim shady

“Also Jesus’s brothers and sisters are not related by blood, they are the children of St. Joseph from an earlier marriage.”
That’s a new one for me. Pretty sure most people here say the brothers and sisters I mentioned are “cousins”, because Greek doesn’t apparently have a different word for immediate kin.
Who did Joseph use to be married to?
Why does it call Mary the mother of those kids?

“Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?” Matt 13:55-56

I have no problem with the fact that Mary gave birth to Jesus. I have no problem with “begotten, not made”.
What I have a problem with is the implied idea that Mary is the reason Jesus exists – I often hear on shoebat.com “No Mary no Jesus”. That’s preposterous.
I also have a problem projecting more virtues on Mary than she is due.
It isn’t necessary for Mary to be sinless.
It isn’t necessary for her to be a “perpetual virgin”.
It isn’t necessary for her body to have ascended into heaven.
It isn’t necessary for her to pray for us sinners.

I have a problem with her being called “Co-Mediatrix”. I have a problem with her being put up on the same pedestal as Jesus. There is none righteous; no, not one (not even Mary).
God delights in using someone unworthy.

          • Paladin

The view that Jesus’s siblings were from St. Joseph’s earlier marriage is a common knowledge in Catholics teaching. He was already an old man when Jesus was born.
Read the apocryphal Protoevangelium of James and History of Joseph the Carpenter, to get a clear view on the matter, or ask a Catholic priest about it.

St. Mary is special, because she isn’t just any woman , she is a Virgin , she is good, full of love pious and holy in the eyes of GOD. She is the perfect woman and Mother for Christ. Its that simple.

          • The really slim shady

Its funny, the first time I ever heard of this is from you – and I’ve been talking to people here for months. Everybody says that they’re cousins.
It’s funny, the only thing that is not accepted is what the text actually says…. that’s real funny to me.

I’ve known lot’s of virgins in my day – that doesn’t make anybody special.
How do you know she was full of love and pious? Not much is mentioned about her in scripture. Let me guess, “full of grace”?
All Christians are holy in the eyes of God – it’s called sanctification.

Nobody is perfect, not even her. The Bible even records an event of her imperfection.
Just like Abraham, and EVERY other believer – Mary believed God.

          • Paladin

Ask Julie labruesque, she share the same thing. Those that you ask, aren’t real Catholics, because real Catholics knew this. Just read the books that I mentioned.
Also Veneration of Saints is not worshipping them. Its about honoring and respecting these holy representatives that hold the authority from GOD.
When we pray to them, we ask their help to petition our cause to Christ , GOD and the Holy Spirit. Its like asking help from a patron from the king’s court to advance our case and plead to the king.
Please reread the Catholic teachings again.

          • The really slim shady

The two Julies are frequent commenters to me. As well as Deus, Willing, Grandmere, Walid, AnthonyM, etc. These people all seem to be quite strong Catholics/Orthodox. (Deus, I know you call yourself a Protestant, I’m still not sure why).

I myself don’t see a biblical need for an intercessor. I see Jesus as having the time to take care of everybody. It does say to cast all our cares on Him – I think He’s strong enough to handle everybody’s cares personally.

I know why Catholics pray to the saints, I just don’t know why you’d go to a servant when the king wants to hear from you personally.
His accusation against the people that did miracles and prophecied in His name is “I never KNEW you”.

I probably won’t read the books, as I feel I’ve learned all I need to know from the summary. And as I said, in my months of talking with the forementioned people – not one of them has ever said anything about those books…. that’s the first I’ve heard of them. Not even the RCC puts them in their Bible.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Why does Rev 5:8 depict heavenly intercessors?

          • The really slim shady

            It doesn’t.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Then explain the 24 elders before the throne.

          • The really slim shady

Does God keep the prayers of the saints in a golden jar until Hes ready to answer them?

Willing to bet that the 24 elders are different than the list of Catholic saints.
            Payable on death, of course.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Answer the question instead of changing the subject. Who are these 24 elders before the throne offering prayers?

          • The really slim shady

Well, they wear crowns, and sit on thrones.
The Bible says that Christ will share his reign with us. These elders are seen in heaven – in end times prophecy.

I’d venture to say that these are prominent Christians.
I’d also say that the elders are a reference to post-Rapture Christianity, as they already have their crowns.

          • Julie LaBrecque

That is nonsensical – you are trying to avoid the obvious – they are DEAD people.

          • The really slim shady

Dead people, and people that didn’t experience death.
I don’t know for sure, but I see them as Christians who have passed on to life (gone to heaven).

            The reason I believe these are post rapture Christians is this;
Believers in heaven don’t receive their new body until after we “meet the Lord in the air”. The dead in Christ will rise first, and we who are alive and remain will follow.
Christians have a special judgement, called the Bema Seat of Christ/Judgement seat of Christ – i envision this happening sometime directly after the Rapture. This is the point where believers are rewarded for their deeds. And as promised, Christ shares His reign with His followers – thus we see the elders sitting on thrones.

So, merely by the fact they have crowns and sit on thrones, I easily see them as prominent saints.
I don’t believe for a second that the verse you quoted is proof that Mary intercedes for us, nor do I believe that this angel intercedes for us.
            “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer;
and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.” Revelation 8:3

Is being civil while promoting falsehood, evil? YES
Do I have a problem with your view? YES
Being nice and civil doesnt win wars, being good and smart does.
Ever heard of “the devil used to be angel of light”?
Stop twisting biblical text to fit your agenda. It doesnt work with me.

          • The really slim shady

It’s more Satan “transforms/masquerades” into an angel of light. But I’ll still give you credit because you’re also right (just wanted to clarify what the Bible says).

Actually, being nice and civil does win wars – per the wisdom of Solomon.
“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.” Proverbs 25:21-22

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” James 1:19

Oh, am I also distorting these verses? How do you take “entertaining angels unawares”?
I take it as angels can take on the form of men (as is documented frequently), and we can’t really be sure that some stranger we’re talking to isn’t an angel. Therefore, we should act like a Christian all of the time.
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2

Why, look at that…I sure made that one unrecognizable.

What I do is called critical thinking – what you do is called obedience. God has given us a mind to use it, not to blindly follow.

Yours is a faith of “Because I said so”, mine is one of “Seek me and know my ways”.
“Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that
did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask
of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to
            God.” Isaiah 58:2
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Satan was an angel of light…read your bible again, he’s called the morning star.
The wisdom of Solomon that you quoted was referring to battlefield etiquette / chivalry. It has nothing to do with being civil.

The quote from James 1:19 is about patience and humbleness in life.
Those has nothing to do with being civil while facing an enemy.
You are quite a snake arent you? Diverting the conversation focusing on my “language” from the real problem , your view and insult toward the RCC.
I’m not a blind follower, I’ve read the scriptures and the teachings of the organized Churches , RCC and Orthodoxy.
You are the blind one, trying to justified a false view using scriptures and tries very hard to convince yourself that you are a good Christian by picking at the RCC and attacking anyone that spokes the Truth.
YOU CANNOT SEEK GOD WITHOUT GUIDANCE….IF YOU THINK YOU CAN THEN JOIN BUDDHISM. Leave us alone.

          • The really slim shady

            Battlefield etiquette?
“A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.
The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.” Proverbs 25:18-24
Where do you come up with this stuff? How many times in battle do they feed and water the opposing army?

            James 1:19 – Patience and Humbleness….exactly
“Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:26-27
            Something to think about.

I sure haven’t attacked anybody – my initial post was merely a question about why people don’t lump NATO in with Turkey, it evolved from there.
I was having a few nice conversations with people, but then you came in hurling insults – I’d say you’ve been the one in attack mode.

And I don’t speak against the RCC to condemn Catholic people – I do it to speak the truth. It’s not up to me to condemn, just to be a witness to the truth.
It’s not as if I feel that being a Catholic is wrong, but being a Protestant is right. That’s not my stance at all. I see the evil in Protestantism the same I do as Catholicism, but most of the people I know are Protestant – I don’t have to go on a web site to talk to them.

The problem isn’t merely found in the RCC – its Christianity as a whole.
Yet it’s Rome that is the undisputed leader of “Christendom”. That’s why I see Rome as the AC, because all of the false Christian faiths look to it. All Protestant/Orthodox faiths are merely children and grandchildren of their mother. The real church is not of this world, and doesn’t have a place to lay it’s head.

The fact of the matter is God desires fellowship, not religion. And all these religions want something from you – God merely desires for you to know Him and believe in Him.
God sent Jesus so we DIDN’T have to jump through hoops to spend time with Him.
            Let me put it this way;
You feel it’s ok to talk like a jerk to people, because you can confess your sins to a man – and be cleansed.
I feel I should act as He asked me in gratitude for already being cleansed. If I love Him, I will keep His commandments.
And being cleansed is what allows us to have fellowship with Him. We know we have fellowship with Him because we have the Spirit.
Either we walk with Him or we don’t, and we can know who “we” are by the fruit.

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-7

I’m not trying to say you aren’t a Christian, as you have done
so to me several times; I’m trying to show you you aren’t acting like a
Christian, and if you aren’t acting like a Christian – it’s because
            something is amiss.
We’re all works in progress, He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it.

The truth is not found in the church today, just as prophecied – yet God’s word hasn’t changed (with the exemption of crappy translations), and His truth is still clearly found in it’s entirety in the Bible. But the Bible isn’t a replacement for a relationship with Him – for that one must have true obedience.
You don’t have to believe me, as I said – I’m just here to testify to the truth. It’s not for me to convince you – God is more powerful than I. I’ll leave that to Him.

          • Julie LaBrecque

I have provided you the verses that state who the parents of the brothers and sisters of Jesus are – can’t anything sink into your head?

          • The really slim shady

Doesnt sink in because we dont agree on what its saying.
Its like the life of Brian.

          • Julie LaBrecque

That makes your default position that Mary is the mother of another woman’s children – which also makes Mary and Cleopas adulterers.

          • The really slim shady

My default position is Mary is the mother of Jesus, James, Joseph, Judas, Simon, some sisters, and possibly more.
I really don’t get where you guys get this stuff from what I write.

          • Julie LaBrecque

That is in total contradiction to scripture – Mary the wife of Clopas is their mother. Will you contend the Mary the Mother of Jesus had children through an adulterous relationship with Clopas?

          • The really slim shady

I don’t know why you’re putting words into my text.
Mary is their Mother – Joseph their father.
You act as if there’s only one person in Israel at the time named James, Joseph, Judas, or Simon….etc.
Perhaps they were common names, such as Mary.
Could it be that they both had children with the same names?

“Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” Matthew 13:55-56
“Carpenter’s son” is a reference to Joseph. “Mary” is a reference to Mary. His “brethren” are a reference to His brothers. “his sisters” are a reference to His sisters.

They are wondering why Jesus talks the way He does considering He has common folk as kin.
            It has strong parallels to this verse;
“And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.” Luke 4:24

It’s easier for you to believe that these were Jesus’ cousins, good friends, or children from Joseph’s previous marriage (something we never read in the Bible); than to believe what the text actually says.
It’s pretty black and white to me.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Provide ONE verse from Scripture that identifies Mary and Joseph as biological parents of ANY child.

          • The really slim shady

            Just gave you one.
And really, i dont care to get into this with you AGAIN.
You obviously wont accept it, so why bother.
Weve been through it at least a couple times im sure.
And this whole conversation has strayed completely from the initial topic we began with.

          • The really slim shady

Just did a little overview on your Infancy Gospel of James…..wow. It actually explains much about the Catholic faith….
But tell me, why do you consider it legit, when it doesn’t even measure up to scripture in your own church?
Who wrote it? James – the “step-brother” of Jesus? He had to be pretty old in 140 AD if he was the product of a previous marriage of Joseph’s. He had to be at least 128!
The things it talks about are crazy, no wonder it’s not in anybody’s canon. Yet, as I said….the ideologies found in it are ones definitely held in the RCC.

          • Paladin

Ask the Orthodox, for they too share the similar view. It is a cannon in the Catholic dogma.
It is present in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
            Everybody knows but you, apparently.
BTW, I’m not a Protestant nor a Catholic, but are trying to go the Catholic way.

          • The really slim shady

Not really sure what youre trying to say here.
The infancy gospel is noy listed in the Canon of the RCC.

          • Slim:

Here, I prepared a questionnaire for you if you’r kind enough to answer it.

1-When Jesus was in Mary’s womb, was He:

            A) Only God and not man?

            B) Man and not God?

C) God and Man

2-Mary gave birth to only a human being Who was not yet God since Jesus did not become God until the Holy Spirit descended on Him after His baptism? True/False

            3-Did Mary give birth to:

            A) God and not man?

B) Man and Not God?

            C) Neither of the above is correct?

            D) A and B are both correct

4-How about after Jesus was born, did Mary suckle:

            A) A human child only who was not God yet?

            B) God as a Baby?

            5-Was Mary the Mother of:

            A) Only the human Jesus and not the God Jesus?

            B) The God-Man Jesus?

6-When Elizabeth addressed Mary as “The Mother of My Lord,” was Elizabeth addressing what was in Mary’s womb as:

            A) “Lord” being God?

            B) “Lord” as only if He was man and not God?

7-The use of the term “The Trinity” came from:

            A) A pagan idea only adopted by Christians later on
            during Constantine?

            B) Gentiles since the Trinity denies the Oneness of
            God in the Shema?

            C) Coined by the Early Church as it was deduced from
            the Bible?

            8) Christ’s death and resurrection:

            A) Kept the Mosaic Covenant since the New Testament was still to be understood in light of the Old Testament

            B) Ended the Mosaic Covenant and the Old Testament is to be understood in light of the New Testament?

            9) Do you believe in:

            A) Apostolic Succession?

            B) Non-Apostolic Succession

          • The really slim shady

Hey, thanks for taking the time Walid! I’ll gladly answer it.

1: C-He was God and Man.
2: False-Jesus was always God. (God was not always Jesus)
3: While it’s similar to question one, id say C – Neither is correct, Mary gave birth to God and men.
4: B-Mary suckled God in baby form.
5: A-Mary was the mother of only the man Jesus, not God. (He and the Father are one).
6: A-Elizabeth was referencing Jesus as God.
7: D-I have no idea where the term Trinity comes from. (I definitely see the proof of three main distinct manifestations of God – but they’re all the same God).
8: A-Jesus birth, death, and resurrection is what the Mosaic covenant was looking forward to.
            9: B-I don’t believe in Apostolic Succession.

        • SwampLife2002

Julie, what you say can not be backed up with scripture. There is only one person to whom we pray to and through and that is Jesus, The Christ. Mary, was not resurrected from the dead, she is a mortal being who died. She has not ascended to heaven as Christ. The only mention of anyone asking Mary to pray for them was Elizabeth when her baby (John the Baptist) leaped in her womb. Mary was LIVING at that time and was able to pray for Her. The reason the RCC is so messed up, in my opinion much worse than the Protestants is because the RCC is the original Judiizers of whom Paul warned the gentile churches!
And none of your “historical rhetoric is going to change my mind. For I’ve learned the whole truth from The Holy Bible, not history books or the catechism. Your pope is not representing Christ… He is representing the prince of the air not The Prince of Life!

          • Julie LaBrecque

You haven’t learned the whole truth from the Bible – scripture is CLEAR that she is in heaven – does your Bible not have the verses, or do you not know where they are? Scripture is also clear that the dead in heaven offer prayers for those on earth.

          • SwampLife2002

Quote these verses? You spoke it, the burden of proof is on you… Like I said, I’m very skeptical of you knowledge of the Holy Scriptures.
Even Walid made the comment in a recent article that he wished the Protestants read more history of the church and that Catholics world read more scripture.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Luke relies heavily on 2 Samuel 6 to reveal that Mary is the NT Ark by all his intentional references to the OT Ark – he tells us the John the Baptist leapt in his mother’s womb while in the presence of Mary. 2 Samuel 6:13-14 tells us that David danced in the presence of the OT Ark; Luke also tells us that Mary arose and went to a city in Judah (Luke 1:39), as David with the Ark arose and went to Judah (2 Samuel 6:2); he tells us that Mary went to the house of Zechariah and remained there 3 months (Luke 1:40, 56); as the OT ark went to the house of Obed-edom and remained for 3 months (2 Samuel 6:11); Elizabeth says “How is it that the mother of my Lord can come to me (Luke 1:43) , David says “How can the Ark of the Lord come to me?” (2 Samuel 6:9). Psalm 132:8 states ” Arise, O Lord, and come to your resting place, you and your mighty ark.” John, whom Mary went to live with, reveals in his vision of heaven, Rev 11:19 He saw the Temple (Jesus) there and the Ark, then he describes that Ark as a Woman in Rev 12: Mary is the Woman of Genesis 3:15 & Jeremiah 31:22, which is the significance of why Jesus calls her “Woman” in John 2:4 and John 19:26. Compare the 3 items in the OT Ark (Word of God in stone, pot of Manna, (the Bread from Heaven), and the High Priest’s Rod) – to what Mary carried in her womb – the Word of God in flesh, the True Bread from Heaven, the True High Priest. And those in Jesus are her offspring, Rev 12:17.

          • SwampLife2002

Honestly, Julie, all of these scriptures point to Christ not Mary, I ask you, again, are you filled with The Holy Spirit?

          • Julie LaBrecque

How can you explain Psalm 132:8? Is it being redundant? The Psalm declares that the Lord arises, and the Ark arises – is Jesus rising to heaven and second time? How can Jesus be the Ark and be the Temple? They are 2 distinct things. Additionally, NO MAN could touch the Ark, or even look inside it – several people touched Jesus – Mary stated ‘I know not man.’ Joseph could not touch her lest he die like Uzzah did.

Hey did you read my response to the article you suggested I read?

          • Yes I did. I even read the whole article to my wife and read to her what you wrote. Christ said:

“To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but tothem it has not been given.

You have ears to hear and eyes to see. Rejoice.

I will have to tell my husband who is a life time baptist, but has grown weary of the religious system as have I. He has a very negative attitude towards catholism, I’m not sure how to address this with him but I will start by encouraging him to read this article and then allow the Holy Spirit to lead him. He is a wonderful man who loves God and I believe he too has ears to hear and eyes to see. I will give this over to God and allow Him to work out the details. I yield to the authority of my Husband as commanded in Esphesians. The burden will be on him if He chooses to turn a blinds eye to all of this truth! I will worship in Spirit and truth.
The peace of Christ be with you and your wife!

          • SwampLife2002

I will at least go back and read all of these scripture passages and get back with you. I’m always open to reading scripture to discover the truth. Thank you for honoring my request.

And try to read the works of the Church fathers and read the dogma and Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church.

Mr Shoebat, I just read the entire article with the continuous flowing of tears that I can not explain except perhaps the Holy Spirit has released them. I can not thank you enough for caring about my well being enough to lead me to these truths. I now must apologize to “willing”, “Julie” and who ever else I might have offended in my ignorance. Honestly, I’m crying profusely and can hardly type these words.. I am full of gratitude for your persistence in getting the truth to “all believers everywhere

          • SwampLife2002

Mr Shoebat, I receive your admonishment in the Word. I cried profusely through the reading of this entire article. How gracious of you to care enough about my well being that you would admonish me in a way that God knew I would listen, you used His words to teach me and expose the truth of all these things which have been concerning me causing me much strife. I realize I must repent from thinking I know more than I do and trusting that He has raised up you to help me and others like me who have been decieved by men who have their own agenda. I believe what you do is selfless, a sacrifice unto the Lord. I just keep crying believing it is the release of the Holy Spirit, perhaps He is rejoicing because the truth is winning out!!
I must apologize to “willing”, “Julie” and all others on this site that I have offended due to my ignorance. I can only hope that you and they will walk in forgiveness toward me and be gentle but bold as they correct me where I’m ignorant to the truth. Please pray for me as I seek the Holy Spirits guidance now as to my place of worship and who I allow to lead me.
God bless you… Much tears… Some of joy for sure at this great news and others are from pure embarrassment.

Problem is that you probably don’t know what scripture means. Protestants use scripture like it’s their feel good phrase for the day book while Catholics developed the scripture for liturgical needs. The bible is the foundational document of the Catholic Church and the bible comes to life in the Church. Without the Church you are missing half of the whole story. The meaning of scripture is, “the books that are suitable to be read in liturgy”. The Muratorian canon states that the Shepherd of Hermas is a good book to read anywhere else but NOT in worship. Thus in liturgy only books that are suitable can be read. Protestants lack a foundational liturgy, even if they do, it’s based on the Catholic liturgy! What is being Christian comes from Sacred Tradition that reinforces what scripture teaches.

Walid’s opinion is based on what he has seen among weak Catholics who often fall prey to zealots that misuse the bible like a sledge hammer and go around proclaiming who is saved and who is not, usurping God’s omnipotence, weak Catholics fall apart because of their the own ignorance despite being warned that ignorance of scripture leads to perishing, however Walid’s opinion is not a broad brush to generalize all Catholics, I can go toe to toe with you when reciting verses and quoting them, but does that make me a Christian? Only in islam is there a competition for recitation of the koran from pure memory cover to cover, where pride of place and honor is bestowed on such achievers. Remember even the devil tried to (mis)quote the bible. Quoting bible verses is useless unless you know what they mean and what is the essence and context of it all. While many go around looking for scripture to suit their circumstance like the word of the day rollerdex they don’t really know why the Catholic Church canonized the books that make up holy scripture and what scripture means.

Thus perhaps it is indeed time for Protestants like yourself who know scripture well, to now start at the historical beginning.

          • SwampLife2002

Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We are to be unified in our faith, equal in the eyes of God … One faith. One baptism, one Spirit. Shame on you for judging me and comparing me to an Islamist. Thank God that He knows me and loves me… You have know idea who I am or what my life journey has been… You are not lifting up the body of Christ you are tearing it down, not an act of love at all. I will pray for you and forgive your ignorance.

          • “Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

Alright then. You were sent several verses from the Word of God.

Do you have a problem being corrected when you are wrong?

          • SwampLife2002

No, I don’t. As a matter of fact I just responded to Walids admonishment, I can humbly admit when I am wrong. He is very kind to point out the truth and lead a person to the truth using the scriptures to back up his every word, this is why I have much respect for him. I believe he truly understands that I’ve been confused by all types of teachings by so called “bible teachers” which James talks about being tossed to and fro by every deception. Today I stand truly repentive of thinking I know more than I actually do. I’ve been ignorant of the truth and am in s state of great grief. So if you have a heart full of grace pray for me as the truth is exposed to me, that I receive it well.

Yet you abuse scripture and say things that are slanderous to Catholics using the very same bile that Catholics brought to the world, it must be real comfortable there in that house of hypocrisy you reside in. I do not care for your background but I take hypocrisy at it’s face value, you statements using verses is pure hypocrisy on top of the lack of historical knowledge, you seem like you want to push a form of Christianity that only came around 500 years ago over the truth of 2000 years of authentic Christianity, I don’t care what your back ground is, not following what the Apostles taught is just not Christianity. You are separated from the whole truth, Telling the truth is not tearing the body of Christ it’s weeding out the false branches that want to graft itself onto the Vine but bring with it all sorts of normalized sin as if it doesn’t matter that the Church is against contraception, divorce, abortion, homosexuality, etc etc when many Protestant churches allow all these.

Do I stop calling out a liar just because he has had a rough childhood? No. Do I not stop a thief just because he was abused? No. Yet you say I tear down the body of Christ but clearly truth of what I say seems to be tearing down to you, you say this simply because you disagree with me, let’s face it. You disagree that my Catholic faith is authentic Christianity .

While I pointed out that reciting verses and quoting verses doesn’t make one Christian and alluded to the fact that such skills are a prize for islamists you assumed that I am accusing you of being one, when clearly I said I could go toe to toe with you quoting verses, did you not understand? You used Walid’s name to make a point but I refuted it but still am tearing the body of Christ down it seems. So is Walid also tearing the body of Christ down when he calls out heretics and charlatans like Hagee, Blitz and Cahn for the blood mood horse crap and shemitar BS?

I too pray that you not be overly sensitive into thinking that everyone’s got a beef with you, but instead of before posting think about how easily your accusation, sometimes slander is easily refuted and for God to give you enlightenment rather than to callously say things like you pray that God forgives my ignorance.

          • SwampLife2002

I apologize, I spoke out of ignorance. Please forgive me and pray fur me as I’m seeking the truth and Walid is helping me.
            Sincerely

          • SwampLife2002

I truly stand corrected, please be patient with me as God is dealing with me about truth … I believe I have been led astray craftily by the father of lies. Please forgive me for for speaking out of ignorance.
            Sincerely

          • Rapheal Sebastian

I would like to apologize for having not been as kind as I should have in my interactions with you. Being Catholic is long suffering, we put up with all kinds of abuse, vile slanders and libels. I am always guards up, scriptural swords drawn when I reply to what seems like anti-Catholic rhetoric. Please accept my apologies and yes please also pray for me to have better temperament and to be more charitable. I too will pray for you. God bless you in your search for the truth, your tears are a cleansing cry now you have a clean slate that has no prejudices and preconceptions. May this new slate you have acquired be now writ with truth and nothing else.

          • SwampLife2002

Oh thank you!! I forgive you too as you forgive me… This is what walking in a manner worthy of our calling in Christ Jesus looks like. Praise God for His mercies are new every morning! I’ve been crying all day but now I am rejoicing for my eyes have been opened as well as my ears! The peace of Christ be with you now and forever!

          • Rapheal Sebastian

            And also with your spirit.

          • Please explain and refute what I have written above to Mzlegend.

          • Julie LaBrecque

You can blaspheme and curse the Pope all you want – I will remind of what Paul stated about such reviling God’s representative ruler (which you don’t believe exists): “Paul answered, ‘Brothers, I did not realize he was the high priest. For it is written ‘You shall not curse a ruler of your people.'” Acts 23:5. I hope you confess this horrible sin you committed.

          • SwampLife2002

You are so good a taking a single verse and making a case with it, once again you’d better go back and read the entire passage because what you say is wrong! I have not sinned against God or man at this point! The truth will set you free! No man is good apart from Christ.

          • Julie LaBrecque

You don’t believe it true? Do I need remind you of what happened to Korah and company?

          • melissa

What if he is the false prophet of Revelation? I know that many Catholics expect an apostate Pope to arise.

          • The false prophet is associated with being part of Antichrist kingdom. The way you deal with the false prophet verse is as if I hated Obama and then chose him as “false prophet” of Revelation. You have to link the whole Antichrist kingdom. Give us your analysis from all Scripture regarding Antichrist and Harlot. Remember to use all the verses. This would entail you writing a book.

          • Julie LaBrecque

            What if John Hagee is?

          • Stephen Dalton

The Catholics are “the original Judaizers”?! That is so off base! An honest reading of the Church Fathers will show the Catholic Church has always opposed this heresy. And the original Judaizers were the Pharisees. Read Acts 15 Swampy, my boy. And Church history shows that the Judaizers who came after the Apostolic Era were either outright open Jews, Crypto-Jews, or Gentile dupes or collaborators.

          • SwampLife2002

Julie I recant my remarks, forgive me for criticizing your beliefs…. I repent and truly embarrassed by my think I know so much… I’m truly just a dumb sheep who needs the Sheherd!

        • SwampLife2002

Also, we who are Abiding in Christ and He in us are The ambassadors for Christ, the pope is not the only respresentative of Christ. … I respect your knowledge of RCC history but Am truly skeptical of your knowledge of the Truth, the Holy Bible.

          • Julie LaBrecque

The Pope and only the Pope holds the Keys to the Kingdom – and the Pope is the FATHER over the house, per scripture, shepherd of the WHOLE flock.

          • SwampLife2002

Jesus said we are to call no one Father except His Father in heaven so quote the scripture that says we are to call Peter “father”? Why not call him “the Rock”?

          • Julie LaBrecque

Isaiah 22:20-24 – the OT background to Jesus’ declaration to Peter in Matt 16:18-19 : “On that day, I shall summon my servant Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah; I will clothe him with your robe, and gird him with your sash, confer on him your authority. He shall be a FATHER to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. I will place the Key of the House of David on his shoulder, what he opens, no one will shut; what he shuts, no one shall open; I will fix him as peg in a sure place, a seat of honor for his ancestral house; On him will hang all the glory of his ancestral house, descendants and offspring, all the little dishes, from bowls to jugs.” Regarding ‘call no man father’ – Jesus also said call no man teacher – Paul calls himself ‘father” (Phil 2:22, 1 Cor 4:15, Philemon 10) Abraham’s name means ‘father’, and he is called Father Abraham. Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, where Abraham is called ‘father’ 3 times ( Luke 16:24, 27, 30).

Hey..there are Christians that live there in Muslim lands…including yours truly.

        • DeusLoVult

Yes, but it arrived in those lands before the spread of Islam.

          • Paladin

Or the S**t Storm called the “Perang Ambon” in 1999, which remain inconclusive on whose exactly the winner, but the fact remains that the Muslims kept their rule in Ternate.

          • DeusLoVult

Never heard of it. I’ll look it up.

          • Paladin

Civil conflict in Ambon…thats the western tagline. I guarantee that there are no English source that tell the true story behind it.

Also …try The Jakarta riots in Mei 1998…in which many Chinese ethnics were killed. Women and girls assaulted , harassed and raped.

Today, the there is a collective amnesia among the chinese ethnicity on how “the real” riot ensued.

The conspiracy buff blamed Suharto and the military, without mentioning the many factions involved including “certain hard religious” ones that are using their youth/civil corps dressed in military like uniform to incite the masses.

Oh,…and all of the thugs was reported supposedly yelling “AllhuAkbar” while raping and pillaging.

There was even a number of common muslims that died during the riot.

We are living under their heel and can live in peace as long as we dont criticize their Prophet and religion.

      • Kelly ann

No it’s Russia. It won’t make any difference if the U.S. Is consecrated ten thousand times, times ten thousand. They have consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, but that is not what the Lord requested. JPII was the last pope to do this in 1984, world consecration it’s not working, simply because it’s Russia the Lord specifically ask for to be consecrated in union with all the bishops in the world, no other nation was mentioned ! Fr Amorth also explained this !

Here’s and interesting fact about the U.S. which is over looked, Sr Lucy was interviewed by an American bishop , he ask her about his country , she told him the result of the U.S. Would be over taken by Communism, this a result of Russia not being consecrated by the Pope as per the specific instructions mentioned above. Outside of that Our Lady did not have much else to say about the U.S.

The church always taught and forbids conversion by the sword, the sword is only to be used to defend the faithful. To force conversion to Christianity by the sword is heresy ! This is not How the Lord instructed the apostles.

        • DeusLoVult

“The church always taught and forbids conversion by the sword, the sword is only to be used to defend the faithful. To force conversion to Christianity by the sword is heresy ! This is not How the Lord instructed the apostles. ”

Bah. The Catholic Church did it all the time. You haven’t read much history. It was the goal of the Teutonic Knights, it was the goal of the Conquistadors. Both, sanctioned and blessed by the Church. (well, maybe not the Conquistadors….I can’t remember…but there were no complaints.)

The US is not doomed. We will rise again, and destroy the Antichrist with Russia.

          • Kelly ann

I don’t read Protestant history ! It full of lies !

          • DeusLoVult

*facepalm Nor do I. These are historical documents, recorded in books on the subject.

          • Kelly ann

The conquistadors ! Thanks to the conquistadors catholic faith Our Lady converted 9 million pagans to Christ !
The Teutonic Knights where did you learn that from Obama ?

          • DeusLoVult

You seem to misunderstand….I am very happy of what they did. Very grateful. Of the Teutonic Knights, I learned of their history from the man who first translated their works. I approve of their actions as well.

          • Kelly ann

I never said the US is doomed. I said there wasnt much said about it! and Im not a US citizen. the states is not my country. and I certainly dont trust it after what it has done over the past decades. but then again im not alone there.

    • Trevor

There are Protestant missionaries in Muslim countries. You don’t hear about it because of SECURITY.

I remember several years ago, I visited my grandmother and on her refrigerator was a family portrait. I asked who they were and she said they were missionary. I asked where they are in and she hesitated before saying they were in Uzbekistan, one of the most hostile places to be.

Last fall, I read an account of a baptist group who were helping feed Iraqi refugees and helping feed, clothe, and providing comfort to Kurdish soldiers. One colonel became a Christian because he asked why they were willing to risk their life when others were sending death (Muslims, that is).

Quit pissing on Protestants as whole, man. You are one of those people nobody want to hang out with because all you do is whine.

      • Willing to die for Jesus

Well I’m sorry if Protestants annoy me, when all they seem to do is “Protest” the Catholic Church and fear “idolizing” the Blessed Virgin and seem to fear Her more than they do Satan! And I’ve kept my cool.. until now, when I think Protestants, particular evangelicals and those not from the apostate mainline Protestant denominations that will last no more than another generation or so, are opposed to Catholic teaching. Mention Mary and all helll breaks loose. Walid has taught me Protestants are very close to Muslims in their teaching on the Trinity and their rejection of the Second Person of the Trinity due to not being able to see the Virgin as sinless, so that’s the perspective I now see Protestants, but particularly these evangelical, “born again” ones.

        • DeusLoVult

Whoa now….that’s a bit too far. To say they reject Jesus because they don’t see Mary as sinless. That’s not at all true.

          • Willing to die for Jesus

Research the Arian heresy. Many Protestants on this site and elsewhere reject calling the Virgin Mary the Mother of God. They can’t grasp that Jesus in the flesh – the Son of God – is both fully human and fully divine.
This strikes at the Trinity as we’re talking about the Second Person of the Trinity. Chip away at the Trinity… and you have no Cross.
This was such a grave heresy it almost wiped out Christianity, 90% of the bishops fell to this heresy. And yet we see its return among the Protestant sects that have no systematic theology and only take up their Bible without any structure in place or clergy, assuming they are not “following men” or the like, while accusing the Universal Church of this.
As many Catholics have said, ignore them and better to pray for them to see the truth.

          • DeusLoVult

“They can’t grasp that Jesus in the flesh – the Son of God – is both fully human and fully divine. ” I’ve never heard that in any Protestant teaching. Frankly, it’s rather easy to understand.

          • Willing to die for Jesus

You might but so many of the Protestant/ evangelical/ “born again”/ Hebrew roots/ charismatics, etc on here and elsewhere keep on rejecting seeing the Virgin Mary as the MOTHER OF GOD. It’s tiring… because they will fall into the same heresy as before and this opens them up even more to accepting Islam on a theological level. It is Gnosticism.

For example, the Bogomils of Bosnia converted to Turkish Islam because they already refused the Trinity on Arian-type grounds.

          • DeusLoVult

That has nothing to do with, “They can’t grasp that Jesus in the flesh – the Son of God – is both fully human and fully divine. ” “It’s tiring… because they will fall into the same heresy as before and this opens them up even more to accepting Islam on a theological level. It is Gnosticism.” To say that, is extreme, and wrong. Protestants too, have fought Muslims in the past. They are nothing alike.

          • Willing to die for Jesus

“Protestant” is a large collection of Christians who are neither Catholic or Orthodox. As such they are splintered Christians… from Luther and the Anglicans and so on. There is no consistent theology among “Protestants” and so they mock Christianity by keeping on coming up with new “Christian churches”. I see them much like the Matryoshka dolls, they keep on popping up inside of each other and get smaller and smaller.. like the Baptists from the Anglicans, and so on. Denominational switching is endemic among Protestant sects, no loyalty (familial or ethnic or otherwise) to a Church… compared to the Catholics and Orthodox.

Serious Catholics don’t leave their Church just because we’re not happy with our Pope or Bishops. We may switch to a different parish, but we tend to be more loyal to our Church and don’t do this denominational switching from sociological studies of religion I’ve read. We may stray but our baptism is never rendered invalid… and the Church does recognize Trinitarian baptisms of the Protestants since Vat II, as far as I’m aware. The Catechism spells this out when a Protestant baptism is valid so any converts to the Church don’t get re-baptized, unless it was an invalid one, eg, the Oneness Pentecostals are not Trinitarians and baptize “only in the name of Jesus”.

          • DeusLoVult

There is one problem I have with the Catholic Church….”evolving doctrine.” I think that’s a big mistake. God has used Protestants to carry out His will, many times. He doesn’t hate them.

          • Julie LaBrecque

I think you miss the mark – the Book of Acts shows evolving doctrinal declarations. Name anything in Catholic doctrine that you disagree with and I will be glad to show you the scriptural supports for it. Protestant doctrine has evolved as well – for one, no one believed that salvation was by faith alone until Luther declared it, nobody believed scripture alone until Luther declared it, no body believed that the Eucharist was not the flesh and blood of Jesus until Zwingli. Some protestants believe in baptismal regeneration – some don’t. Some protestants baptize their children, some don’t. Bottom line – protestants are guilty for evolving doctrine.

          • DeusLoVult

I am not talking about Protestants, my lady. They never had a doctrine to begin with. The Catholic Church has radically changed it’s position on hom*sexuality, for instance. They now view it as a genetic disorder, suggesting a “gay gene” might exist. They needn’t do any scientific studies on it. All the information is in the Bible.

          • Eric

As far as I’m concerned, all doctrines these days seem to be changing–it’s the church as a whole, I think. And that’s not good.

          • Julie LaBrecque

The Church doesn’t make medical/scientific judgments. Homosexuality is defined in the Cathechism as ‘intrinsically disordered’.

          • DeusLoVult

My lady, it used to be considered absolutely heinous and despicable.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Still is – as are fornication and adultery.

          • DeusLoVult

Neither of those are quite as bad….well, maybe adultery, for the simple fact, that they are based on natural human inclinations, my lady, however perverse they are made to be.

          • DeusLoVult

Adultery is, of course, particularly heinous, because of the reprehensible betrayal of the spouse, and the vows broken, my lady.

          • Paladin

So..In general… in Catholicism ,Having homosexual tendencies are technically a sin but not exactly mortal and one is expected to either repent or lead a celibate life. On the other hand homosexual ACTS ARE SINFUL.
            Am I right?

          • Julie LaBrecque

I 100% believe that if people with same-sex attraction remain chaste they are not guilty of a mortal sin.

          • DeusLoVult

When they have such attractions, my lady, they are afflicted with an illness, which is inherently sinful.

          • Paladin

In Catholicism , the tendencies are differentiate from actual ACTS. Tendencies…a despicable sin would become a mortal sin when one act upon its tendencies.
Its really just a matter of when a sin become more dangerous/deadly.

          • DeusLoVult

            Okay. That makes sense. 🙂

          • Paladin

            Glad to hear,that..

          • Marcos Filipe Guerra

            You’re right. Romans 8:12,13

          • DeusLoVult

To your other post, now pending.:

Yes, my lady. But that does not make them equal.

          • Paladin

If its a disorder…than it can be cured. HA! take that LGBT activist…We can cure you…it suddenly become a choice, to cure or not to cure.
Dont you just love it if science would prove this?

          • DeusLoVult

It’s a disgusting spiritual affliction, a particularly unnatural one. They won’t admit it’s a choice, they prefer being “born fagg- I mean, gay.”

          • Paladin

Can you guys settle down? You are usually on the same side.

          • Grandmere

I second the motion. It’s always the same story.

          • Paladin

So he’s always in “Super Catholic” mode. A mode not taken by any serious Catholics?

          • Grandmere

I have a history with him as well and we decided to call a truce. No one in here is right about everything all the time. I will leave it at that.

          • Marcos Filipe Guerra

            LOL Super Catholic mode…

          • DeusLoVult

If you knew our history, you wouldn’t say that.

          • Paladin

C’mon he’s just making a point there. He is right to point that many Protestant refused to acknowledge St. Mary.
Didnt Theodore argue correctly that in old times Protestant nations always sided with the Muslims when the latter makes war on Catholic kingdoms?

          • DeusLoVult

WW1, Protestant nations destroyed the Ottoman Empire. Protestants aren’t evil.

          • Paladin

I agree. People can change…thats the true essence of redemption. Correct?

          • DeusLoVult

Yes. God doesn’t just love the Catholics.

          • Paladin

As long one doesnt insult the Catholic Church and most importantly ….dont….ever….insult….Jesus’s…MOM.
            Then You are okay, Right?
I will be nice too, promise
But I really hates TV Evangelist, Rapture addicts and Prophets for Profit.

          • DeusLoVult

“But I really hates TV Evangelist, Rapture addicts and Prophets for Profit.” So do I.

I actually would like to become Catholic. I have no denomination currently. But I refuse to take a supremacist approach with either.

“As long one doesnt insult the Catholic Church and most importantly ….dont….ever….insult….Jesus’s…MOM.”

I don’t. I do have a few issues with the modern Catholic Church….but not much else.

          • Paladin

Irish Catholics and its anti semite retorts make my head hurts. Not all Catholics are created equal.

          • Eric

Honestly Paladin, I don’t bother with denominational lables. Growing up with as many dissabilities as I have, I was taught never to lable myself from them. My only two labels are being a Christian (A real one), and an American. In that order.

          • Paladin

Good for you, kid. GOD bless you and your family.

          • Eric

Thank you bud. God bless you too. 🙂

          • Daniel Mrg

I don’t know what Willing is talking about. He must be referring to non-trinitarians like the JWs, Oness Pentecostals and different types of small groups of “Hebrew roots” sects. These groups are not even protestant.

        • Trevor

Boo hoo. Someone say something that don’t line up with what you say about Mary you go into a conniption. Get a effing grip.

NOT all Protestants are evil or heretic. Learn to differentiate or better yet, scream in a pillow.

We should all read Romans 14, then we may just stop criticizing each other… Just a thought

    • Paladin

Its true…There are Protestant missionaries in Muslim countries. In my country, with the largest muslim population this side of the galaxy, Protestants are quite numerous.

    • jane mac

I believe that Protestants have no part in it. Bleeding hearts of manipulated people who don’t know what Islam stands for, and are too lazy to learn the truth, are to blame. If these people read the Bible they could have some knowledge of the coming anti-Christ invasion, but they don’t believe in the Bible, they believe in atheism and everything else that involves.

Presbyterian Christians are well schooled in the Bible. They spend much time listening to scriptural sermons. I know! I have Roman Catholic relatives, l have attended their churches, l have listened to the long winded Latin hymns and chants, and prayers too, and l have yet to hear a teacher/preacher amongst any of those RC priests.

Stop hating non RC Christians. We are Christians, we lack nothing, because Jesus Christ is with us. All Christians need to gather in the same field now, and stand United in these times!

No Christians who believe that Jesus Christ is their Saviour who was crucified, and shed his blood as a sacred atonement for those who believe in him, and was killed yet defeated death and resurrected from it, and lives eternally, as the sinless Lord who came into his Creation, will welcome people who believe that a man known as Muhammad with his sinful desires and deeds should be adored and ranked higher than Jesus Christ. No Christian will accept that people who believe that Jesus Christ was not crucified should be cossetted amongst them. It is not Christians who are accepting these blasphemous people into their homelands. It is secular leaders who have been bought and paid for by Islamic Leaders, possibly had their bank accounts filled, who have sold their own children into slavery in the near future.

I don’t confess to priests or call them father but I call Yahweh/ Jesus my Father. I have love for all my Christian brethren. I have love for children who are entangled with pagan worshippers. God has not promised me that I will not face tribulation, but he has promised to be with me and to give me eternal life and l don’t need to be a Roman Catholic for that to be gifted to me.

John Knox was a strong Christian preacher and a church father, not like Luther, but they were righteous in desiring that the Bible was published in familiar language, not Latin. Protestants protested and died in horrendous ways, they are not infidels and apostates, it is God who is Judge. The Pope has apologised to the non RC Christians. We did not have to apologise to him, that should tell you something!

We want a warmer relationship with the Roman Catholic Church, but we will not be Roman Catholics again ! We will not, ever!

  • DeusLoVult

“One of the most major errors the West did is that it added Muslim Turkey as member of NATO in 1952, and alliance rules say that an attack on any of the 28-member states should be treated as an attack on all.”

Mr. Shoebat, I don’t think a single NATO member will declare war with Russia for Turkey’s sake. They can’t afford that, and I think there would be a massive outcry if it happened. It wouldn’t last. No one wants a war with Russia. Not Europe, not America. The communists will lose this one.

    • I agree. They will give Turkey moral support.

      • DeusLoVult

And maybe some useless sanctions as well, sir. But that won’t do them any good. Most European nations are opposed to to close relations with Turkey.

        • Paladin

Well, now you understand why Turkey “send” those “refugees” to Germany and the rest of Europe. To increase muslim vote.

          • DeusLoVult

Which is exactly why the EU accepts them. Nutters, all of them.

        • Marcos Filipe Guerra

True. No western nation would risk their peace for a recent ally in turkey over the russians. Russia always helped defeat world threats.

          • Paladin

Not to mention Russia is the only Christain nation with NUCLEAR weapons.
( No, Us lost it status as a Christian nation the moment it attack Iraq for no good reason ).

          • DeusLoVult

Bush was mad, because Saddam had sort of attempted to kill his father, the jerk. We are in conflict. But Christianity is making a return.

          • Marcos Filipe Guerra

Not only that. Can you imagine NATO help Turkey over Russia? I mean, World War I? Who was the Pinky and the Brain? Germany and Turkey. Who got sanctioned the most? Germany. Turkey? Peace treaty. That ultimately led Germany to a crisis that helped Hitler rise up to power with his National Socialism.

Who helped the West destroy these two world dictators? Russia! They bark, they moan, they make hate speeches but they KNOW who would be on their side if things get grim.

All this moan and groan is for power and money in the middle east. If they can’t get it by moaning and groaning, they’ll leave Russia alone, because they know. Sanctions and all that, but nothing more. Have you noticed how these dictators made mistakes by invading Russia? I love the US, but ultimately Russia is always the one to decide the war. Every single world wannabe dictator is betrayed by hubris. Napoleon and Hitler are the best example. Hitler thought he could conquer Russia. Napoleon thought he could conquer Russia. Never crossed the mind of these evil bunch that God put a hook in their mouths and doomed them. That’s what Ezequiel 38 is all about. Hubris. I think the Caliph will believe that Allah is on his side and will somehow give him victory over Russia. Shocking. That’s the bad news from the north and the east. He will fight in more than one front.

            Look what happened to Hitler:

          • Paladin

The North is always impossible to conquer…both in real life and in fantasy.

      • Paladin

And you have this : http://missilethreat.com/lockheed-teams-with-turkeys-roketsan-for-f-35-missile/

And how about the 60 to 70 US Nuclear ICBM currently at Incirlik Air Base (used by both Turkey and USA) , “loaned” to Turkey in case of Iran or Russia attack?

  • The really slim shady

I just have one question, though it seems like many questions:

Obviously everybody here feels that Russia is right, and Turkey wrong; why is it just Turkey that’s the Antichrist?

Everybody can see that the U.S., Europe, and many of the ME countries have the same goals – does nobody see that they are on the same side?

Does nobody notice the East/West schism in the world?
Everybody seems to agree that the things America and Europe stand for nowadays are not godly whatsoever – why is NATO not also a part of this Antichrist spirit?

NATO is the beast! It’s NATO verses the SCO.

“But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him:
therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to
    make away many.” Daniel 11:44
I think we all see this as Russia and China, but who’s Russia and China’s biggest rival?

    • DeusLoVult

Nonsense. The beast is the Ottoman Empire. The West will fight it, eventually.

      • The really slim shady

        How so?
What has America or Europe done for God lately?
        Push the gay agenda…..
Fight nonsense wars in the ME…..
        Perilously against Christianity…..

        What’s the difference?

        • DeusLoVult

You give up too easily. You say “lately.” Russia was was an atheist state for 70 years under communism. Now look at them. Christianity is being shoved by all different evils in the Western world. Christianity will eventually shove back and destroy them, as always. God never abandons His children.

          • The really slim shady

You’re talking a destruction of biblical proportions if you’re talking about a great awakening in Europe and America.

I’m not saying it can’t be done, I’m saying I don’t see that in the prophecy.
I don’t believe God’s going to abandon His children, but that’s a different topic – and you know what I believe about that.

I see it as a perfectly logical assumption to say America, EU, as well as their Muslim allies are the beast. They’re ALL evil.
And of course, this isn’t a broad statement saying all Americans, Europeans, or Middle-Easterners are evil.

          • DeusLoVult

Bah. If God sends nations against the Antichrist, then who do you think those are? The West has a STRONG Christian heritage. That isn’t going away. They will get desperate…and they will return to the flock.

          • The really slim shady

I’m thinking more and more lately, much to my upbringing’s dismay, that those countries are the ones our country labels as enemies (Russia, China, Iran, N Korea).

Do you know that America’s history they’ve been at true peace for a total of something like 30 years? That’s insane.

          • DeusLoVult

Oh I know the NK are terrible. It’s one of the worst nations on the planet.

But the point is what vehicle is the AC going to ride? It has to include a “super-power” does it not?
The only logical idea, IMO, is that it’s either USA/EU or Russia/China.

The fight in Syria is a proxy war, and it’s basically being fought by the two sides I mentioned above. The only thing you have to add is the ME countries to the mix….which, if you think about it…. who carved out the land for those countries and installed the people of power (pre-revolution, and in many cases, post-revolution).

NATO is attempting to run the world, the ME is their puppets (including the government of Israel).
Fitting though, that the battle would be fought in the ME – the focal point of all empires.

          • Paladin

Turkey…is going to be the vessel to ride. Not only viable from scriptures, but also predictable by serious geopolitical experts.

          • The really slim shady

Arming a-holes has sort of been a long-standing policy of America.
But no, that’s not my point. America is a part of the beast (namely the largest military part), the beast is much bigger than a singular nation.
People also think America is an independent nation, which is hilarious.
America, Europe, Israel, and a large part of the ME are all taking orders from somebody – they all have the same mission.

          • The really slim shady

Nope, sure don’t want to fight. Yet, you seem intent on the standard internet retort of name calling and accusations. Shall we commence the “yo mamma” jokes?

          • Paladin

Accusations? You said yourself without proof that somebody is pulling the strings behind world events. I READ THIS OFTEN ON CONSPIRACY WEBSITES.

            Not some two bit troll.
So either you believe Mr. Shoebat or beat it!!!

          • The really slim shady

Eh, I don’t think that’s necessarily how it works.
There’s definitely someone pulling the strings behind world events, afterall – we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
The conspiracy is far too organized to be orchestrated by human will.

I believe in the truth of God, it’s yet to be seen if brother Walid’s version is the proper one.

          • Paladin

So…shut it a or beat it….its simple. We are trying to save actual lives. Mr. Walid dont have time for kids who think Lizardmen are trying to rule over us.

Walid responds when he does have time. And frankly, hes much better to dialogue with than you.

Makes you feel big to talk down to people on the internet i see.
Youre not trying to “save lives”, your only concern is being “right” – and you throw a fit when someone doesnt mold to your ideology.

          • “frankly, hes much better to dialogue with than you.”

I am? So many complain about me. Here is how it works, we get tired and snappy. I only ever played the first one. The rest didn’t interest me.

          • Eric

Still haven’t played Unity yet. . .had it for a year, and still haven’t gotten the proper computer parts or something. . .Syndicate comes in a few weeks. lol

Buy a console…if you have the blings..i mean money.

          • Eric

Well, I DO have a console–a Nintendo one–and my brother told me I could use his gaming PC. No need for me to spend the exstra money.

          • Paladin

Its ok, PC is superior to consoles any way.
WE ARE THE PC MASTER RACE.

Well, even with my multidimentional vision, I can see that PCs have the superior performace capabilities. I’ve been trying to formulate game-code to work in the Fortress of Solitude’s Computer Matrix. . .but I am having difficulty formatting the code from traditional Binary that humans use to the Kryptonian Krystal Helix system. . .but I’ll get it.

            lol… what’s your problem?
#1 Nobody has ever referred to me as a hipster, I think I’m more of an anti-hipster.
#2 I would think you would be unimpressed by a supposedly “good” nation only being at peace for a small percentage of their existence. It’s as if America only exists for war.
#3 Why don’t you present an argument instead of showing how poorly you comprehend what you read?

          • Paladin

America is NOT the world. You only focus on a western -centric view that really irritates others at Shoebat.com, including me whos not white, not American, and a REAL Christian.
The center of the conflict is between Islamic Caliphate/alliance, represented by Turkey versus Christian alliance, spearheaded by Russia.
The US and NATO has to choose side, but ANY nation that join the Caliphate alliance is considered part of the anti Christ.
Currently, there is a revival among Christians in America, and many of them dislike how the current government is handling the issues in the Middle East.
According to Mr. Shoebat ,America will be awaken from their slumber to join the Christian alliance.
            Stop being so gloomy.

          • DeusLoVult

How did you learn to write English so well? Curious.

          • Paladin

Nothing, just I like to read in English and watching movies in its original language…subtitles really helps to compare alot of mistakes. Also Love listening to music, especially metal.

          • DeusLoVult

Ok. Thanks Paladin. It’s very good, by the way.

          • The really slim shady

lol… What makes you think I’m white? There you go, taking liberties.
Just like you assume I claim to be a Christian, you don’t know that either. I do, but I haven’t made anything even close to a confession to you.

You assume I must be a false, white, Christian because I disagree with you. This only goes to show your own ignorance.
I get it, it’s hard to think beyond your own preconceived ideas.

We could both be right after all – it could be a Muslim from Turkey, who rides the beast of NATO, who causes NATO to destroy Saudi Arabia, who makes peace with Israel and the Muslims for 7 years, Who is the Mahdi to the Muslims and confuses some Jews into believing hes the Messiah, etc…. That’s not far-fetched at all.
The Caliphate could be the ever-sharia-friendly NATO/ME allies.

          • Paladin

Isnt of your NATO centric view the updated version of the EU is the beast version? In which you would see European anti-Christ defeated the Caliphate and absorb it.
Your version just replace EU with NATO.
You cant escape me, you lying piece of turd.

          • The really slim shady

Lying piece of turd? Intelligent argument!
            I guess you stumped me.

NATO doesnt need to absorb the non-existent caliphate – they are already working with the key players.
Like i said, perhaps the caliphate youre looking for is already here – with a different appearance.
Wrap your head around that if you can.

          • Paladin

“NATO doesnt need to absorb the NON-EXISTENT caliphate – they are already working with the key players.”

First you said NATO = Caliphate , Now you claimed the Caliphate is doesnt exist.

“perhaps the caliphate youre looking for is already here”

And here you contradict your self again by saying the Caliphate is already here even though you claimed above clearly that it is NON-EXISTENT.

One can always recognized a snaketongue from its contradictory arguments.

          • The really slim shady

I’ll spell it out considering you’re clearly having problems reading between the lines.

There is no Islamic Caliphate. And I, personally, don’t see how NATO and Russia will sit back while Turkey takes over the middle east.

The “rebels” in Syria are backed by countries like Turkey and Saudi Arabia, as well as the USA, Israel, and Europe. All of those countries, at least right now, are on the same team.
If there is indeed a “Caliphate”, it’s power is found in NATO – you know, the people so intent on spreading our freedom bombs on all the oppressed countries.
This is why I asked you who provides Turkey with weapons (and money) – Turkey would be nothing without the powers that be backing them.
The US funds all these countries and organizations because it protects their interests. Their interests just so happen to be the same interests as the EU – and the radical countries of the ME.

Does that clear it up for you? I’m guessing no.
Instead of trying to pick a fight, why not try to have a civilized conversation? There’s plenty of people here who disagree with me, yet keep things civil.

          • “There is no Islamic Caliphate. And I, personally, don’t see how NATO and Russia will sit back while Turkey takes over the middle east.”

When one writes “I personally don’t see …” it means nothing You need to tell us who is Meshech and Tubal and Lydia and “the King of the North” … Who is Zechariah 9 speaking of “Yavan”? Where is it and why does Christ fight Yavan?

I am not interested in your view of my view. So start explaining all these instead of sharing your “personal views” After all you’r all about Bible, right?

          • The really slim shady

Why are you coming at me like I’m acting like some condescending jerk for asking questions?

Just like we don’t know the day or hour of His return, we don’t know the identity of the Antichrist – we’re only free to speculate.

I don’t know who the Antichrist is, but I can tell you many powerful people that are anti-Christ, that you would not disagree with.

Do you disagree with me that America’s and Europe’s politicians are evil?
And if you agree they’re evil, how are they different than Turkey’s government?
And if all these governments are evil, especially with this new global outlook, are they not on the same team?

Why do you take me calling NATO Antichrist personally?

          • “Why are you coming at me like I’m acting like some condescending jerk for asking questions?”

Take it easy. We are like the guys in that tavern, throwing knives and yelling.

“how are they different than Turkey’s government?”

Yes they are very different. The Ottomans split more Christian blood than anyone. Sure they are evil, but you must support your proposition from Scripture which you have no done.

Is there anything we said in the article you disagree with? Quote it, take it easy and bring it to the tavern. Salute. Have a beer.

          • The really slim shady

No, nothing I disagree with per se, in fact I agree with it mostly.
I’m just wondering why you stop at Turkey?

Even in your articles I can see you know that America is helping out with the mission of Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Why do you let them have a pass?

I know in your videos, one of your lines is “Why do you want so badly to be Antichrist”?
It’s not that I want to be AC, or feel that the vast majority of Americans/Europeans/Middle-easterners are such evil people.
But it seems pretty evident to me that all the powerful people, in all of the forementioned entities are some very serious AC people. I could see any one of them stepping up to fulfill that role.

          • Lidia

Hi Slim, I can see your point. It’s a good theory if America doesn’t change. We will definitely be heading for a disaster.
I am hoping with a new president, we will go in a different direction. If Hilary wins, we are screwed. Western governments are very corrupt and our president is helping Sunni Muslims with this Caliphate. It’s the western governments that are the big problem, not the everyday people. More Americans need to wake up. The only problem with this, is our MSM. They are not telling the whole story. It’s all one sided as usually. I realized this in the 90’s when they lied about the Yugoslavian War, just to get Americans to support the military intervention against Serbia.

According to Catholic prophecies, there will be Revolutions and civil wars before THE BIG WAR-war of all wars. So it’s impossible that Europe or America is the Beast. The good people will stand against this temporary Beast.
EU will eventually fall apart, it’s already happening. And America will change for the good.

          • The really slim shady

Thank you very much Lidia – exactly what I was looking for.
Most of this will probably be sporadic, but I’m trying to hit on everything that stuck out to me.

I would definitely like to believe what you shared with me, especially the part of America repenting. And I won’t say that’s impossible, because of course I know it says “with God all things are possible”.

I have always felt that Hillary would be a shoe in, but lately I’m not so sure. Nevertheless, I really don’t believe any of these leaders are godly. And, when I look back through our history, the more I believe the historical teaching I was taught was whitewashed – I don’t think America has ever been a godly nation, and I see as much proof that every president was a Christian as I do that they were deist/atheist. I don’t trust any of them.
But at the same time, I consider myself as passing through this world – I’m not too concerned with the politics. One thing I do know for sure, things are going to get bad in the last days.
I’m just extremely interested in the last days (that’s what brought me to shoebat.com).

But basically the way you see it, the Muslim AC will attempt to take over the world; even going so far as fighting Rome, Europe, and I would guess Israel?
But then nations will basically repent/convert and fight the AC?
            Am I right with this?

If that’s right I have the following questions, if not – disregard these questions.
Do you also see it easier for a Muslim AC to “confirm a covenant” because he controls the temple mount, and has some pull in negotiations?
Does the church/”good” nations destroy the AC?

This one is sort of a question I wonder in general – what is the Catholic stance on the timing of the second coming?
Is it that Jesus will come back and destroy AC, judge the living and the dead, and then we commence eternity?

          • Lidia

To answer you previous comment. My computer is acting up right now for some reason. I just wrote something and it got erased. So I will try again.

Very interesting question about Daniel’s statue. What does St. Jerome-one of our early church fathers– say it is:

“the fourth kingdom, which clearly belongs to the Romans, is the iron that breaks and subdues all things; but his feet and toes are partly iron, and partly clay, which is most manifestly verified at this time; for as in the beginning nothing was stronger and harder than the Roman empire, so in the end of things nothing weaker; when both in civil wars, and against diverse nations, we stand in need of the help of other barbarous people.”

He first said that the Roman Empire was strong as iron but becomes weak like clay. Could St. Jerome be describing his time? When the Roman Empire was falling apart because of the barbarians. Could this scripture apply to the future with all the wars that happened in Europe (and future wars) and now with all the wars happening in the Middle East. The ME used to be part of the Roman Empire. Plus you have to consider the Holy Roman Empire or Christendom. That fell apart too, along with monarchies of Europe. All have been destroyed. The past monarchies used to protect the church. Who protects the church now? No one. The devil went as far as eastern Europe when the Communists killed the ENTIRE family of Tsar Nicholas II. Many Christians were murdered by these Communists. My own Serbian grandfather fought against these Communists. This makes Europe and the church more vulnerable to their enemies. Divide and conquer is the goal of Satan. Satan also divided the church, which makes Christianity weak and up against a terrible enemy. Worse than Hitler and Stalin and other Antichrists in the past. These antichrist seem to get worse as time goes by.

I never thought that the Roman Empire existed today. But it does according to ISIS and others like them.

Does the Roman Empire become strong again? It could very well be very strong in the future but again it will fall apart later. I believe the Great Catholic Monarch will make it strong again. It will last for many centuries but it will become weak again. When this happens, this AC will become very powerful and only Jesus can destroy him, no one else.

          • The really slim shady

Well we know that the final “world power” comes from the previous world powers… just like Daniel’s statue. I think we all agree that the empires are different incarnations of Babylon – thus “Mystery Babylon”.

The way I see it is that the two legs are the divided Roman empire expanded – NATO/former western Roman empire, and ME/former Byzantine empire.
And I think the iron and clay is a reference to how the Muslim nations and Judeo/Christian nations don’t really mix despite being “one”.

I could be wrong, but it seems like if you’re just focused on the ME, you’re missing the other leg.
I definitely see how easily the AC could fool even the elect, when there’s so many different ideas on the topic.

          • Lidia

Are you still saying that NATO will fight Russia? Western Roman Empire against the Eastern Roman Empire?

I look at it this way. Could it be Christendom (soon to be) vs. the Islamic Caliphate or all Islam?

          • The really slim shady

NATO is already fighting Russia in Syria.
I see Christendom bending over backwards to accept the Muslims into their lands.

          • Lidia

Christendom doesn’t exist today. It will reform in the future. Russia is only one part of Christendom, the eastern part. The western part will form when Rome is taken over and the papacy seat becomes vacant. The two sides will reunite in the future.
The Communists/Socialists rule western Europe today.

          • The really slim shady

Thank you Lidia, very nice explanation.
I agree with you, Christendom is the exact opposite of the EU/US.

I dont necessarily agree with your view, but i can appreciate it. A much nicer thought than mine.

All i do know for sure, the only hope we have is in Jesus.

          • Lidia

Thanks Slim, your views are interesting too.

          • Lidia

One more thing, Slim. Rome was sacked several times but never destroyed, it’s still there. St. Jerome was very upset with the barbarians, he wrote in grief, “If Rome can perish, what can be safe?” The Roman Empire during this time was still in the midst of religious conflict between pagans and Christians. Christians saw these several barbarian invasions as a sign from God, to get rid of pagan Rome or the old Roman pride completely. The great ending to this story is that all the barbarians became Christian.

Now we have Muslim extremist today who want to do the same thing, destroy Rome. God will punish us again for our apostasy by using Muslims, like he used the barbarians in the past. Rome will be invaded but not destroyed. History repeats itself. Whatever Muslims are left over, will they convert to Christianity too? Is this how God will convert them? He converted the barbarians, didn’t He?

          • The really slim shady

I dont have a response to this, i guess we’ll wait and see.

But to me, i dont see scriptural backup to show any kind of mass conversion in the last days.

The only conversion i can think of mentioned in the last days is the conversion of the remnant of Israel – once Jesus returns.

          • Lidia

What if we are not in our last days? According to Catholic prophecies, we are not quite there yet. Many things will happen before this occurs. According to Walid , we are coming to an end. Most people who come to this site, including you also believe this. When you look at the world events and Islam, Walid could be right. But how many saints in the past thought they were in the last days, especially with Islam? Islam has been around for 1400 years. I have no doubt that there will be a final collision between Islam and the world. But will this be the final end? None of us really know the answer. You even said that before.

Are there any scriptural backup about the barbarians converting to Christianity? Does the Bible talk about everything that has happened in history?

It’s interesting how these Germanic tribes and Slavic tribes (who were considered barbaric by the Romans) were pushed west by other barbarians from Asia like the Huns and the Avars. Some of these barbarians did terrible things to the Roman citizens. They later on shared the land with them and converted. Today I’m reading that thousands of Chinese Muslims (Uighurs) are moving into Syrian villages, replacing the native people who massively immigrated into Europe. Same migration story like before. There will be a lot of fighting in Europe–civil wars, revolutions, world war. But in the end, whatever Muslims that are left after these wars in Europe will convert.

A lot is written about this on the internet. Here are some sources:

It’s amazing how God converted the Romans too. The Roman Empire was the most powerful empire that ever existed. No one, not even the U.S. and the U.K., can compare to them.

          • The really slim shady

It is amazing what God has done with Christianity.
It’s most amazing to me that God brought Christianity to the gentile world through Paul going to prison. It’s amazing that Rome was so powerful that Christianity couldn’t help but spread.

Everything He does is so calculated – even though things seem dire (how can Paul possibly be a great minister if he’s locked up?) God works all things for good.

What a mighty God we serve.

          • Lidia

Separation of church and state does not equal Christendom!

          • Lidia

You have the one side where fanatical Muslims want to destroy the entire Roman Empire, threatening to take over Rome, destroy the Vatican and make the whole world Islamic.
St. Jerome said, “When both in civil wars, and against diverse nations, we stand in need of the help of other barbarous people.” Who then are the other barbarians that St. Jerome speaks of?
It’s the SLAVS, Russia to be exact, along with other Slavs.
Slavic barbarians are the good guys!!! Which I am proud to be part of this barbaric race. LOL!!

Someone or something wants to destroy the Roman Empire in it’s entirety. Prime example, the European Union—what is happening in Europe today. Communists and Islam want to destroy the Roman Empire and someone else which I will not mention here. Eastern and Western Roman Empire –like you said, the expanded Roman Empire–will reunite to fight against a common enemy or enemies.

So you kind of see Russia slapping the west and waking them up?
Believe me, I like your view better. I just don’t see anything but the west getting worse and worse.
Believe me, it’s not that great being so apathetical in regards to my future in this country.
It’s why I won’t have kids – I’d hate for them to grow up anything like modern westerners, or worse.

Absolutely! Russia is slapping us around. Hopefully they won’t bomb the U.S.

Walid, thank you for allowing my patronage to this wonderful falafel stand and interacting with customers. Due to a circumstance I am about to undertake, I must surrender my scalpels, since I am woefully under qualified to be a surgeon, I will drop by now and then to comment.

Thanks for being an outstanding chef. Keep up the good works.

Walid, maybe this fall away by the west will surprise Turkey in the end by turning against the Beast at the last moment. You said once that the more maneur the sweeter the fruit. That’s a saddening lookout to our eyes, but God has the last word on that. I was just wondering that right now.

Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church expressed the hope that the participation of the Russian Federation in resolving the Syrian conflict will bring a long-awaited civil peace to the region.

“The Russian Orthodox Church has repeatedly appealed to the leadership of Russia and other countries and international organizations with an appeal not to remain indifferent to the suffering of the civilian population in Syria and other countries of the region”, – he reminded the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

“We are not hearsay, but from personal contacts with religious leaders of the Middle East know about the catastrophic situation in which turned out to be people who have become the target of extremists and terrorists,” – said His Holiness Patriarch.

According to His Holiness, the Orthodox people with a heavy heart observed numerous incidents of violence against Christians in the region, the abduction and merciless murder of bishops and monks, barbaric destruction of ancient temples.

“Do not suffer less and Muslims these places sacred to the representatives of all the Abrahamic religions” – said His Holiness Patriarch.

“Unfortunately, the political process has not led to any noticeable relief of the plight of innocent people, and they need military protection,” – said the Primate of the Russian Church.

“The Russian Federation has taken a responsible decision to use the armed forces to protect the Syrian people from the ills brought by the arbitrariness of the terrorists. We associate with this decision the approach of peace and justice in this ancient land, “- said His Holiness.

“Wishing the world the people of Syria, Iraq and other Middle East countries, we pray that the violent local conflict to erupt into a major war to the use of force did not result in civilian deaths, and all Russian troops returned home alive,” – concluded His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

Thank you for this encouraged me! God bless you!

  • Rapheal Sebastian

It also looks to me like Protestants try to deify the bible, despite trying to sound like they hate idolatry, but in fact actively participate in it when they make the bible central to the teaching of their religion, especially when saying things like if it’s not in the bible then it’s not Christian, however what stares back clearly if you knew what is written refutes that claim. 2 Cor 2:6, …for the letter kills

2 Thess 2:15… stand firm and hold the traditions you have been taught both by word of mouth or by letter….
2 Thess 3:6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

St. Paul warns us of heresy and make it up as you go along Protestantism in Romans 16:17-18 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

So if you have read all of what the Apostles taught, as you are required and followed them, as further reflected by their students the Early Church Fathers then your argument that Catholics deify the Blessed Mother of God is as false as all of your other learnt slanders. And if indeed you are bible believing Christians, then why are you not part of the original Church? The Church that Christ founded? That has all of the Apostolic teachings and succession? Why have you followed Luther and his deformation? Instead of keeping firm to what St. Paul taught you about people that will come teaching you contrary to what the Apostles taught and not be bamboozled by the Protestant heresy?

    • Lidia

WOW Rapheal, great comment!!!!! You see, no one can answer you because you are right!!!!

    • Catbr

I know someone else who defies their book. Muslims seem to hold their Koran as something much more than holy, as though it is actually part of Mohamed or allah. They go ballistic if a non muslim or whoever destroys a Koran.

      • Catbr

spelling error, deifies not defies. lol

  • “Why are you asking a dead person to pray? ”

Is it true or not true that:

    A) “to be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord”?

    B) Being “present with the Lord” is a dead carcass is present or a living spirit?

Once you answer these two questions (which I know how you will answer) I will rest my case.

This claim “praying to dead bodies” is then biblically speaking stupid.

No Christian prays to dead bodies.

Such a teaching is the tradition of men.

  • So tell me then, how do you approach “Mount Zion”:

“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, theheavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to theassembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect [saints], and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”

We ultimately come to Jesus the mediator through coming to Mount Zion. All verses must flow and match perfectly. Indeed, all prayer ultimately go to Christ.

So explain the verses. How do you “come to Mount Zion”? How do you approach “innumerable angels,” “assembly of the first born,” who already “enrolled in heaven,” and “spirits of the righteous made perfect”?

Here we have saints whom were sinners “made perfect” whom we approach and they too approach King Jesus as the angel also approaches taking our prayers to Him.

Who are these “saints” these “spirits of the righteous made perfect” whom we also approach and they go to Jesus?

Now we can understand Psalm 91:

“he has given his angels orders about you to guard you wherever you go. They will carry you in their arms in case you trip over a stone.” (v11-12)

Explain this “angel to guard you”?

Missing such keys is how the devil deceives to block the way to God and is why so many do not understand how Scripture is discerned as it was in the early church. It is Scripture that all cults reject while insisting they only use it.

The wealth of God is mystery for beggars who refuse to partake in the banquet of God.

Cults always miss key scripture verses which they will gymnastically twist and turn instead of looking at how simple they express God’s mind.

And just as God had sent Jesus to forgive sins and after his resurrection, Jesus told the apostles that they too will become one with God. Again, this is Theosis.

How else can the apostles “forgive sin”? In an amazing verse where the same Holy Spirit, Who hovered and breathed onto the waters to bring forth life, now in a unique occasion, Jesus breathes on men and they too can “forgive sins”:

“‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, hebreathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’” (John 20:21–23).

I can even imagine the remake of the Jesus movies, what would the scene be like when God the Son breathed on His disciples the Holy Spirit. What would the sound be, the awe, the power, the mystery …

This is one of only two times we are told that God breathed on man, the other being in Genesis 2:7, when he made man a living soul. It emphasizes how important the establishment of a system where men are chosen to “forgive sins”.

    The missing keys unlock everything.

Only through the union with God (Theosis) can we

  • DeusLoVult

Correct, my lady, I did not intend to say illness. Sorry. Such attractions are very evil, and I do believe, can be overcome. No one is born with it. Influence of demons, I suspect. Or, perhaps the person is simply perverse. “Do you have the same conclusion with men who have lust toward women and vice-versa? ” I have answered you on this point previously. You speak of an amplification of the natural affection that exists between a man and a woman. Such things are not unnatural. It is different to lust after the “strange flesh.” I believe that people who wish to fight their attractions, should be given all the spiritual help they require, but as to those who indulge proudly in perverse relations….send them to the guillotine.

    • Julie LaBrecque

I am 100% pro-life; from conception to natural death. I think too many people who would send homos to the guillotine would recoil at an adulterer suffering the same fate.

      • DeusLoVult

Forgive me, my lady, but perhaps that is a reason ladies were not placed in charge of such matters. I am pro-life, which is why I must also be pro-death penalty. An adulterer is despicable in a different way. It isn’t the same as sticking your w*nk up the human sewer. Sorry, but it’s not.

BRAVO WALID!!! A beautiful call for the dense to wake up!! Every time i am tempted to think all is lost i think of Elijah, and God’s revelation to him that He had preserved a remnant of His Prophets from the evil Jezebel’s murderous rampage, and then gives Elijah Mt. Carmel and the putting to death the enemies of God! Our God is Just and perfect in His motives and deeds! Love and Goodness ALWAYS wins, even in the bleakest, darkest night, Praise God!! NO ONE catches Him by surprise!!

    • Thank you nagra. Remember, only a few will listen. Its a narrow gate

  • “I think your post to me is nasty and ignorant. ”

Everywhere I look I see this comment. I was even watching a Copt in Egypt who dialogues with Protestants in Egypt and he says the same thing. He says “whenever the Copt defends his faith, they counter with “you are nasty, mean spirited and ignorant.”

I wonder why is this phenomenon so prevalent? Do you expect the other side just to bow? What is it?

  • The really slim shady

Unfortunately for you, I probably won’t be leaving. I enjoy the back and forth – in most cases.
Never said Israel created Isis – not once, so half of your comment is irrelevant.

And sure, my theory is not much different than the NATO/EU/Illuminati theory. That theory fit’s prophecy amazingly well. And I haven’t had these ideas drilled into me, I am a seeker.
I spend a lot of time reading different stuff, and time and time again I find my views change – but it’s usually not a direct result of rude people like you.
I’ve generally come full circle on my viewpoint of eschatology. And obviously, my viewpoint is open to change upon review of the facts – where yours is set already, and has to work out the way you believe it to be. Woe to the people who think they’ve got it all figured out.

And I haven’t gone in circles, I’ve reiterated the same thing over and over again in different ways. And yet you don’t comprehend even what I’m saying – so I think we should just agree to disagree.

You go your way, I’ll go mine. But I’d imagine you’ll see my name pop up on here from time to time. Tis a free internet after all.

    • Paladin

B&$&h, please!? Repeating the same $%&# over and over again, really makes you sound like an idiot.
Don’t complain if I’m using this kind of language, because as you said its the free internet.

      • The really slim shady

lol… I have no problem with that kind of language. I just think it’s quite telling.
Perhaps you don’t posses the fruit of the Spirit?

I repeat myself because you have a thick skull, and keep accusing me of contradicting myself.
Haven’t contradicted myself at all. Even tried making it simple for you.

        • “lol… I have no problem with that kind of language. I just think it’s quite telling. Perhaps you don’t posses the fruit of the Spirit?”

WOW. No fruit of the Spirit for using a few choice words, but when one is in complete error they have the Spirit?

Wonder how you would approach Ezekiel when He wrote Ezekiel 25 or when Galatians it says “O stupid Galatians” or when Elijah confronted the false prophets of Baal he said all sorts of choice words, that he too does not have “fruits” of the “holy spirit”.

          • The really slim shady

I don’t have a problem with words, it’s the spirit of the words. (granted, that Ezekiel one was an interesting way to portray what he was saying).

Talking about turds….saying “B*#&$ please” is rhetoric that doesn’t do anybody any good. It’s certainly not the spirit any of the people you suggested had when they were saying/writing what you’ve referenced.

And I wasn’t speaking of Biblical interpretation, I was more speaking on the lines of Galatians – love, kindness, gentleness, SELF CONTROL….those sorts of things….personality traits.
You have to type a bleeped out cuss word, that’s premeditation. Why not just use pg13 words and sin not?

        • Paladin

In Matthew 15:26 Jesus called a woman a dog, even its intended to be a test and a metaphor, its still quite rude if you apply modern standard to it. But Jesus isn’t here to concern about manners and etiquettes, He is here for our salvation. Sure manner and etiquette are important, but at some point in conversation, depending on the context, it can only bring you so far that you are forced to use harsher tone and ruder language to drive your point forward.
And yes I do have a thick “metal” skull but at least I have a brain, unlike yours.

          • The really slim shady

Youre right, i am one of the folk with the genetic brainless disease, commonly found in America.

  • “Jesus spoke of blood moons as an end time warning.”

Nonsense. Jesus spoke of the moon turning into blood and the sun into sackcloth and the stars falling from heaven. Now you are sounding like you are making Hagee, Blitz and Cahn as “playing God”. Quit playing God by declaring these guys as gods.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Wrong interpretation as usual. Is twisting scripture to suit your narrative something they teach you on Wednesday nights apart from the slanders about the Catholic Church? No one denies that Jesus is the Living Word, but you deny what St. Paul warned you against those that teach you false teachings that is against or not what the Apostles taught. Yet you chose to follow Luther’s heresy. So I guess you worship your bible? Your bible is your god, Jesus is not for the letter..the letter brings death but Jesus’ blood and flesh bring eternal life is in the scripture and repeated so many times, even He said it three times in the upper room , yet you deny this. I suppose you worship Martin Luther as well. After all he re-wrote so much of the Protestant bible, his words apparently have become the same words you worship and which you now claim is the Living Word. You also worship King James then, since he too has a version of the bible he wrote.

  • ” l did not attack Roman Catholic Christians”

What if you did. So what. In other words, I try to make this place free, open, frank and blunt … sort of like this:

  • Eyes that do not see. Ears that do not hear.

YOU are NOT seated with Christ. Jesus was NOT having you imagine as if you are seated with Christ.

The context is clear. The author of Hebrews (who is alive on earth) is instructing about how we on earth “approach Mt. Zion” “in heaven”. Common Melissa, I mean get real.

This is what most do when the text does not match their theology. They twist the text to say what it does not say.

  • Andy Holland

If you are correct, and we combine this with what some spiritual elders at Mount Athos said, the Russians will eventually take out Turkey, and give Istanbul to the Greeks to recreate Constantinople. One third of the Turks will flee and one third will convert to Christianity
So where is America in all of this? Complete economic and political disintegration near as I can tell. Oh well – the people wanted Sodom and Gomorrah and hated school prayer and Jesus was not proclaimed.

  • Kelly ann

Russia was suppose to be consecrated and converted in 1929 to prevent the Second World War from happening!

  • Andy Holland

To worship Mary is blasphemy. We VENERATE Mary, we ask her to pray for us just as the rich man asked Abraham in prayer – God is the living, not God of the dead, Abraham is ALIVE, MARY IS TOO! Through and in Jesus you can ask her to pray for you. Further we pray the Holy Scriptures remembering a day that is past when Gabriel [“Man of God”] came to Mary. What we pray is in the Gospels – we pray the 153 Great Fish mentioned in John (3 + 50 x 3) and the star terrible to demons of II Esdras, and the five sided Leviathan (there goes those ships, there is that leviathan….- you know, Peter who was Simon son of Jonah),

    • Grandmere

Just me is either Hebrew Roots or Seventh Day Adventist.

      • Andy Holland

Its OK – he thinks we are worshipping Mary. We venerate her. He is absolutely right to go nuts about “worshipping” anyone other than God.

      • Stephen Dalton

Justme is also probably up to his neck in Hislop’s Two Babylons fantasies as well.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

I only have three things to say to you, firstly, your preference is not God’s preference. Therein lies the chink in your armor, you choose what you like your preference, which includes interpretation of scripture and His teachings. Stuff that doesn’t sit well with you, like for example, premarital sex, contraception, divorce, eating His flesh and drinking His blood and believing that the bread and wine turns into his flesh and blood, homosexuality, sexual perversions, confession, the Sacraments etc you reject them. God’s Kingdom is not a democracy for you to pick and choose what you like. It’s a theocracy, only His teachings are the law it’s all or nothing.

Styles of worship once again is preference nothing to do with what God established while on Earth. If your style of worship is different from the ancient Christians then it is not liturgical. Once again see how the first century Christians worshiped.

Finally you deny the authority bestowed by Christ the Lord upon his Apostles. That is to forgive sins, Luke 9:1 and John 20:21-23
    http://acatholiclife.blogspot.sg/2006/03/necessity-of-confession.html

The Jews were the first Christians for sure, they were called the people of the way, the way being the followers of Christ they were not even known as Christians, where they worshiped in the churches through out the land, ekklesia kath holes in Greek, thus they belonged to the universal church, the ekklesia kath holes (katholikos) Acts 9:31. They were later called Catholics as per Acts 9:31.

    ACTS 9:31
he men oun EKKLESIA KATH HOLES tes Ioudaias kai Galilaias kai Samareias eichen eirenen oikodomoumene kai poreoumene to phobo tou kuriou kai te paraklesei to hagiou pneumatos eplethuneto
    [http://www.biblestudymanuals.net/acts9_parsed.htm]

KATH HOLES comes from two words KATA & HOLOS which later developed into KATHOLIKOS and CATHOLIC:

    catholic
origin ME: from OFr. CATHOLIQUE or late L. CATHOLICUS, from Gk KATHOLIKOS ‘UNIVERSAL’, from KATA ‘in respect of’ + HOLOS ‘whole’.

So there is EKKLESIA KATH HOLES in the Bible. That’s the Catholic Church that grows throughout Galilea, Judea, and Samaria, but was actually started in Jerusalem [Luke 24:47] and was persecuted that’s why it was transferred into Rome [Matthew 21:43 & Acts 23:11], and became known throughout the entire world [Romans 1:7-8].

  • Andy Holland

One cautionary note – the very prophetic spot on Saint Seraphim of Sarov has the great antichrist as Russian from his own region. Maybe that time is past? His prophesies have been very, very accurate.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Nonsense, where did Jesus speak of blood moons and in the way of what Protestants like to do, show me a verse in which Jesus mentions blood moons specifically. You liken Jesus to false prophets not me, you have to answer that one yourself since you prop those charlatans like Hagee and Blitz and Cahn to the level of Jesus. Easy to go after? What about those Seventh Day Adventists who proclaimed and fixed dates too. Their whole foundation of their version of Christianity is based on the coming of Christ. What about Tim LaHaye and his Left Behind bovine excrement. And lastly what about these morons abusing scripture and the name of Jesus to promote their fantasies. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/christian-group-says-the-world-will-be-permanently-annihilated-on-wednesday/

I would. NATO doesn’t care about Turkey. lol Look at how this ‘brave’ Coalition is trying to defeat ISIS now…pathetic. They’re all to spineless and weak to fight Russia, they won’t even fight a motley gang of Muslim rapists.

          • Kelly ann

lol! Nato only does the work of the hegemonist !
its just a tool not a nation! a tool to embark and impose on the rest of us.

          • DeusLoVult

Of course it’s not a nation. It’s a show, to make the world look united…well, it is now. No one will assist Turkey against Russia, that would mean nuclear war. It’s not going to happen.

          • Kelly ann

a nuclear war is a heavy burden. all giants involved realise the benefits of such a war, well ok execpt obama, but who in the world dont realise that! Europe is growing ever more distrustful of the States, Asian nations are distrustful, Putin is winning the middle east over! and everyone wants further distance from the US! guess you have to be non American to see it. where Putin is a threat to Turkey is winning over the musims in the region by elimating US support and backed ISIS and rebel syrian armies trying to overthrow Assad. turkey is of course allied with the US as the US wants what turkey wants Assad gone. meanwhile Russia is there to ensure Assad stays, quite the delima for the US, seeing Russia /China/Iran, Iraqi and now including Israel is joining forces with Russia. a rather strange mix having israel uniting with Russia who is allied with Iran. as Europe continuies to distance itself with the US, who is left to bow to them? no one wants to bow down to the US anymore. even the libby european leaders are showing their backing away. I honestly dont know who you think will follow your nation anymore. the Ottoman empire is if any such case even possible.

  • Thank you very much jane mac. It seems that you have been reading several assortments of my writing. Thats good.

  • Julie LaBrecque

How is obeying what we are told in scripture to do ‘deifying’ Mary? Jesus never rebuked His mother – if you maintain that He did, then you have made him a sinner which is blasphemy. Get off the ‘all have sinned’ verse, find out what Paul was quoting (Psalm 14) – are all ‘peverse’ too? Does no one, not even one, do what is good? Then read Psalm 15 for the counter to 14. To have it your way, all babies have sinned.

  • Julie LaBrecque

    You obviously don’t follow scripture.

  • Julie LaBrecque

    You’ve just admitted to idolatry.

  • Julie LaBrecque

You strain so hard to remove Mary from the situation. John the Baptist did not leap UNTIL Mary’s greeting reached Elizabath’s ear.

  • Julie LaBrecque

She does do command- John 2:5. God claims authorship of her being praised – so much for you following every word from the mouth of God.

  • Julie LaBrecque

He speaks more of Mary because Mary is being attacked, not Jesus. Tell me how you individually, and your church as a whole, publicly honors and praises Mary.

  • Julie LaBrecque

You state that the Ark is Jesus – please explain this; “Arise, O Lord, and come to your resting place, YOU and YOUR mighty Ark.” Psalm 132:8. How can YOUR ARK be Himself?

  • DANTEontheLake

I find this teaching on the Virgin Mary in this video makes perfect sense.

Here are the scripture to SQUASH your heresy:

Matth 13:55 “Is he not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?”.
Matt 27:56 “Among them were Mary Magdalene and Mary the
mother of JAMES and JOSEPH, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.”
Mark 15:40 “There were also women looking on from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the MOTHER of the younger JAMES and of JOSES, and SALOME.”
John 19:25 “Standing by the cross were His mother and his
mother’s sister, Mary the WIFE of Clopas, and Mary of Magdela.”
    Matt 10:3, Mark 3:18 “…JAMES the son of Alphaeus…”
    Luke 6:16 “…James the SON OF ALPHAEUS…..”
Mary had NO other children – if you think she did, then you just made Jesus a home-wrecker. Do you really believe that Jesus would send His mother away from any children? This is stupid and is borne out of hatred for the Catholic Church.

Do you have any understanding of the OT – especially in regards to the Davidic Kingdom? Based on your question, I will assume you don’t. The King of the Kingdom always assigned a ‘Royal Steward’, an office in the Kingdom (also had the office of the Queen Mother) who served as the King’s representative and ruled for the King when the King was absent or sleeping, very similar to Joseph being made the Steward of Pharoah. The Royal Steward was given the Keys to the Kingdom, which were the sign of his authority and the sign that he ruled for the King. All of this info serves to give you a brief summary of the OT backdrop to everything that Jesus did (and protestants don’t understand or just flat deny) when he chose His leaders to rule the Kingdom after He ascended into Heaven. Peter was given the Keys to the Kingdom and given singularly the power to bind and to loose (Matt 16:18-19), which are rabbinic terms for making doctrinal and disciplinary declarations, juridical decisions, who is allowed in, who is kicked out, etc). Peter’s successors hold the Keys to the Kingdom through succession.

Who, in your opinion, has control of the sun – God or Satan?

  • Julie LaBrecque

You have made several ignorant and erroneous statements. First of all, Jesus also said call no man teacher, yet he tells the Apostles to go and teach. Abraham is Father Abraham, his very name means Father. Paul called himself father on 2 or 3 occasions. How can you say that no Pope has ever followed Jesus? Over 30 Popes of the early Church were martyred. You are either the most ignorant poster on this site or are the most gullible person in the world. Take your pick.

  • Grandmere

I have come to the same conclusion. It is a waste of time to argue about tradition. The venom reminds me of the Sunni/Shiite divide.

  • Stephen Dalton

No, Russia isn’t Gog-Magog. Nowhere in any Russian history will you see any mention of Russia being descended from Magog. All histories of Russia, written by Russian or Non-Russian historians, make the claim that the Russians are the descendants of a Swedish Viking tribe called the Routsi. If you want to see who the actual ancestor of the Russians was, go to http://www.imninalu.net/imninalu.htm

Jesus called Jews ‘vipers and sons of devil” and herod as “fox”, so Jesus is a genuine Christian ? Paul handed over “alexander the blacksmith to Satan” and called people as accursed in his epistles, so was Paul a born again Christian? Who are you to decide walid’s faith or its integrity ? You are Christ ? You want to take Christ’s seat in declaring who is what? For that we have day of judgement. You sir, stop wanting to be like the most high. That only the devil desires. If you disagree with Walid, hold your breath. God is Walid’s judge and rewarded or punisher. Not you.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Thank you for espousing Catholic doctrine and your charity in not regurgitating the oft heard and repeated slanders that are so often posted on here. Well the gist of my comment to a post (supra) was to clearly show that many think that the Christian morals they have are rooted in Catholic doctrine, which includes the doctrine of the Trinity. I find it strange that many accept most of Catholic doctrine, including the promulgation of the Trinity, since the word Trinity doesn’t exist in the Bible ( the same people ask where is purgatory, the Immaculate Conception, The Assumption, the Theotokos, Transubstantiation, the 7 Sacraments etc in the bible) but reject all other doctrines passed by and instituted by the same Council at Nicaea.

You point on idolatry needs to be re-examined as well, Catholics genuflect, that is a sign of total surrender to God, priests at ordination prostrate before the tabernacle also as a sign of submission. One should actually try to find out why one genuflects or prostrate. Iconoclasm is actually idolatry, the muslims try as much as possible to say that there are no idols or objects that they worship, yet they all bow, prostrate and circumambulate the black stone in mecca. Iconoclams and iconoclastics seeks to prevent the image of God from being exposed. Portestants that seek to enforce such things think they are doing what God commanded, but Christianity before the 1500 and for over 2000 years now has had icons and holy icons. First century Christians already painted and carved crosses and crucifixes in their churches, would anyone dare call them idolaters? Many of these people lived during the time of Jesus and were borught to the faith by the Apostles themselves. Next wee need to know first why God was angered at the Israelites when they made the golden calf, (God is certainly not a cow) because they did not know the image of God. The Incarnation gave us the image and to deny that Christ had an image is idolatry of an imageless god. Walid wrote an excellent article on this you can search the archives for it.

I agree most of the other established Protestant Churches have a liturgy, albeit it is somewhat different from the Catholic liturgy but yet finds its roots in Catholic liturgy, there is no denying this, the rest of the more than 40000 do not. It’s almost always fly by the seat of the pants, make it up as you go along sort of thing. They detest organization and hierarchy and a fixed way of worship. So often I ask how is that those rock band worship style in so many of these churches was the same as how ancient Christians worshiped. Thank you for your POV, God bless.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

You are being deceived if you use Joel to say that Jesus talked about blood moons. I repeat where does it say blood moons as the same way those charlatans have made it out to be? Did the sun turn into sackcloth? Did the stars fall from the heavens? You in trying to defend those charlatans with holy scriptures put yourself into calumny and defame the Living Word by putting words in His mouth.. No where did Jesus say “blood moons”. Give it up.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

“Liturgy, and church practices are not sinful, but they can’t save anyone.” This is a ridiculous statement – Christian Liturgy is the public worship of the people, instituted by Jesus Christ and is the summation of all the Jewish Liturgical Feasts, all of which were instituted by God. Will you state that the Hebrew people were not saved when they put blood on their door posts and ate the Flesh of the Lamb? Isn’t this what GOD told them to do to have the first-borns saved from the Angel of Death?

    • Proof positive that this has to be the most embarrassingly unchurched country in the world.

      • Julie LaBrecque

Amazing idiocy from the mouths of ‘Bible’ Christians. Can’t tell how many times I have read a comment here to just roll my eyes and shake my head.

        • It’s both sickening and embarrassing. The Gnostics have one the US.

        • I think am ready to convert, Rudy’s Orthodoxy or Julie’s Catholicism. I still cannot get a grip on what Jane advocates.

          • Julie LaBrecque

She never should have admitted that she belonged to the Presbyterian Church – after being confronted with their blatant heretical practices/heresy/apsotasy, her options were: A – admit to the heresy, or B – Justify the heresy.

“When the 12 yr old Jesus told his mother that his priority lays with his FATHER he had a difference with her.” This is nonsense and certainly reading into the texts – why did He go with them and obey them? Do you want to read into the text that Jesus did not honor his Mother and his Father or that He tricked them?

  • Julie LaBrecque

Quit trying to change the focus of the debate – that is what defeated people do. Was Elizabeth’s reaction because Mary was there? If you knew anything about the Ark you would be able to answer both questions.

  • Julie LaBrecque

Since you claim to believe that the Bible is God’s word, can you explain why the Presbyterian Church, the Church that you have stated that you belong to, had ordained WOMEN as pastors? Can you explain why they have OPENLY LESBIAN PASTORS?

  • Julie LaBrecque

How and when? Are you telling a fib? I’m not ignorant of what protestants do because most of my friends are protestants and they admit that they NEVER say ONE word about Mary, have NEVER had a Sunday school lesson about HER, and have NEVER had a sermon about her. You need to learn about the Kingdom of God – the REAL ONE – the one modeled on the Davidic Kingdom because the Church IS the promised restoration of the Davidic Kingdom. Here’s a brief on the Kingdom – The King is the Ruler, the Queen Mother sits at the right of the King, and the Father over the House has the keys to the Kingdom, and he has ALL the authority of the King. Show this info about the Kingdom to your pastor and see what he says.

  • Julie LaBrecque

Do you see the heresy you are spouting just because of your willful refusal to believe what scripture clearly teaches? Tell me when God the Father came bodily to the earth.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Spare me this horse manure. You quoted Joel, yet you twist the verse to suit your narrative and that of those charlatans. Once again show me where Jesus said “blood moons” specifically in book, chapter and verse that’s what you Protestants always do right? So now do the same, require of yourself the same standard that require of others.

By the way nothing happened on his blood moon bull manure date. And to claim that the earthquake in Chile is a sign that he was correct is grasping at straws in order to validate his false prophesy. You still defend false prophets by calling him anointed, as such I am not one bit interested in such hollow, occultic practices of date setting. The biggest spiritual frauds of all time was perpetrated, still being perpetrated by the likes of Cahn, Hagee and Blitz. Go ahead go buy Hagee’s next book, unashamedly pushed despite his false prophesy, I guess you are knee deep now, you will continue on believing nicely packaged turds masquerading as wisdom both in hardcover and paperback.

God’s anointed? Did you see God anointing that charlatan Cahn or did he proclaim himself as anointed, by what authority does he claim or you claim that, authority bestowed by whom and who gave that that person the authority to bestow upon Cahn the title God’s anointed? He’s no different than that moron in the Philippines that started his own church and claiming to be a prophet and goes so far to claim that he is the incarnation of Christ look up iglesia ni cristo, better still go look up that “church” in Florida where another charlatan calls himself Jesus (Hesus) and claims to be Christ because he was God’s anointed too. Yet thousands have fallen for those charlatans, they all call themselves God’s anointed and you believe Cahn is and just like many others believe the charlatans above too, a sucker is born everyday!

Why should I be humble when I know these charlatans abuse the written word for their own purposes? I stand bravely in front of frauds and call them out at the top of my lungs if possible. Unlike you, you eagerly and greedily eat up the swill they dish out, because whatever they peddle tickles your fancy. And then bare your tusks at those who dare call them out for the falsities and their more than evident false prophesies.

Walid has already exposed these people, yet you hijack this thread to defend morons with more garbage gleaned from twisting, distorting and contorting the written word and mixing that written word with caballistic, occultic mysticism and astrology.

Calling out frauds and charlatans is accusing my brethren? Sorry but calling out a liar is logically good, morally good and spiritually good, God approves! Their errors must be called out and to point out that they need to repent and stop worshiping the god of wealth and money. False prophets are not my brethren they are from the diabolical, they need to repent! You are being deceived by deceivers who in turn are being deceived. The devil works in false prophets and it’s people like you that fall for the clever deception and stand there to defend evil. Yet you have the audacity to say that calling out these charlatans and frauds is evil. Woe unto you who call good evil and evil good.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

I’ve already given you enough rope, and you promptly hung yourself. You cannot prove your own assertion that Jesus spoke of blood moons, when clearly no such thing has ever come out of His mouth. Once again, show me where “blood moons” is said by Jesus. Book, chapter and verse please. Because even as I read the bible in Greek text, no where can that nonsense be found in both premise of context of what those charlatans set and/or signs or as you claim Jesus has. You see your problem is that you do not or refuse to acknowledge that the bible was written in Greek and that blood moons nonsense is a derivative of the English translation, you see now that you have been deceived, a clever ruse to use English words and make them all so scary and morons, weak minded and gullible people buy that BS. You are clearly one of them. This has the trademark fingerprints of the diabolical. You refuse to see it.

You affix false prophesy to the Lord, and with singular and extreme arrogance still cling to this false prophets and their fraudulent prophesies despite their prophesies not coming true. All soothsayers, always talk in generalities, that’s the essence their scam. What is happening around the world has nothing to do with blood moons bullcrap, people have been killing each other because of one thing or another, to attribute this to nonsensical blood moons is just like how “psychics” attach coincidences to dupe their clients. Novice or not, I am no fool, you on the other hand have eaten greedily the swill the charlatans you defend have dished out for you. Go ahead buy more into that sorry excuse for a preacher Hagee’s and his sycophant Blitz’s scams, enrich them while you are further sucked down into the abyss of error.

Once again woe unto you who call evil good and good evil.

You refuse to see date setting as occultic and evil, but still defend that very evil. You are gullible, weak minded and ignorant of the warnings tat Christ Himself and His Apostles gave because you need such stupidity of false prophesy to make things real for you, even abandoning your Protestant man made tradition of sola fide and putting the words of men ahead of that sola fide. While clearly despite your claim, you are not at all scriptural, because clearly you missed out the part about only who knows when the end is to come.

  • Grandmere

You seem like a very fine and godly woman. I am sorry you got beaten up.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Still you avoid showing me, as you often ask of all others, show me in book, chapter and verse where as you claim shows Christ says these two words: “blood moons”. You dance around like a whirling dervish, you see the question only when you choose, at the same time trying your best to ignore the glaring facts. Facts that you defend false prophets, facts that you put words into Christ’s mouth and equate him to charlatans, scamsters, fraudsters and liars like Hagee, Blitz and Cahn. And if you claim as you do that you dislike date setters, then what the heck are you doing defending these morons? There are no grey zones, it’s black and white, a date setter is a date setter and thus are false prophets. Once again woe unto you who say good is evil and evil good.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

What parts of all of these verses do you not understand? Why do you have to talk about seasons when clearly that alludes to the change of seasons which a clear signs of when to plow, when to sow and when to reap the fields. If one twists verses hard and contort it enough it can mean anything. Clearly Acts 1:7 It is NOT for you to know of times and of epochs (seasons). What part of NOT suddenly became for you?

    Context:

    The Ascension
6So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; 8but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”…

Do you still want to stand up and defend those charlatans?

“And Michal had no children UNTIL the day of her death” 2 Samuel 6:23. “The Bible is very specific in its details. If Michal didn’t have children after her death, that would have been the place to put it.” Can you enlighten us to how many children Michal had after she died?

  • Julie LaBrecque

Why are you changing the subject? Do you think Jesus left a teaching Church just for giggles and grins?

  • Julie LaBrecque

“we believe that the Gospels indicate that women Christians have been given the holy spirit too, not just men, and we decided that makes women of this age equal with men as the holy spirit makes all equal in the sight of God. Of course, the scriptures do say that in the last days men and women will prophesy (that also means preach).
There is no reason not to allow women to be shepherds of the flocks, after all women make up the mass of church.”
WOW!!!! You have decided, AGAINST SCRIPTURE, that women can be pastors. What happened to you being a ‘fundamentalist’? What happened to believing that Scripture is the Inspired Word of God. I will remind you that Paul said that women are NOT to teach in the Church. I will remind you that NO WOMEN attended the Last Supper – because women CANNOT be priests, period. I will remind you that Mary and Elizabeth were FILLED with the Holy Spirit and that both propheised, but we see not ONE shred of evidence that either of them had any pastoral role in the Church.

    • I think Jane is saying that a transvestite polygamist Mormon woman can also teach. Did I get that right? This is fundamentaly quite revolutionary. I think this is what she meant by “fundamental” and this is what she meant by “JW” and Mormon being saved …. Or Am I confused here?

      • Julie LaBrecque

Perplexing to say the least – she is trying to justify the un-justifiable and defend the indefensible. Scripture sure foretold the day that sound doctrine would not be endured.

        • We’re being hit by all angles of Revelation at one time. Mind-blowing, isn’t it?

          • Julie LaBrecque

I would say a virtual cavalcade. Can you believe this non-sense from this ‘Holy Spirit” filled Christian? Why isn’t the Holy Spirit telling her to run from her Church with women pastors and openly lesbian pastors? Could you imagine all the past Church Council with women presiding? You and I know the Church Fathers are rolling over in their graves.

          • It’s a shame to see this. But this country is steeped in heresy. There’s no way around it.

          • Julie LaBrecque

Not sure how long you’ve lived here amongst us, but if you have for any length of time, I’m sure you have witnessed their ‘superiority’. I have come to the conclusion that freedom is a dangerous proposition.

FYI – Trevor added a concluding statement to it for me, just sent addition to Jeff.

  • Julie LaBrecque

It is you and your like-minded protestants that are guilty of the contention and division. “Isn’t the gospel about Jesus?” Gee- wonder why we have a Bible with 73 books instead of a 1 page letter telling us about ‘Jesus and the gospel’. Does the REST of God’s word take a trip into the basement because Jesus came into the world? Your sect doesn’t want to study the OT because the foundation and structure for the Church is in it – namely the Davidic Kingdom which has the King as the head of the Kingdom with a Royal Steward reigning as the King’s representative ruler and the Queen Mother seated at the right of the King interceding for the subjects of the Kingdom.

  • Julie LaBrecque

#1 – “We will tell anyone that she is blessed and highly favored.” You state that ‘we will’, but you don’t state ‘we do’ – this is disturbing. It appears that you are trying to prevent telling a lie by hiding behind a coyly-crafted statement. #2 – “We don’t formerly (formally intended word?) praise her.” By not praising her, you are contradicting God – did you know that? Please read Psalm 45:9-17. esp. focusing on verse 17 where God claims Himself as the cause of her name being praised in all generations. #3 – “We would view her virtuous nature as only possible by God’s grace anyway.” Gabriel, sent as messenger of God, addressed Mary thusly: “Kyrie, Kecharitomene”, which translates in to English as “Hail, Full of Grace.” Mary’s virtuous nature comes entirely from God, as He is the one that filled her full of grace. If someone is ‘full of grace’, can that person have any sin abiding within? Kecharitomene, broken down into prefix, root word, and suffix is thus: Ke – prefix meaning all tenses, past, present, and future are represented. Charito – root word meaning grace. Mene – is suffix which means that action of the root has been applied. So, Her name, as spoken by Gabriel means that she was graced in the past, is presently graced, and is graced for all time. If you desire to please God and bring glory to Him, then praise the Holy Virgin for all that God made her. This will infuriate the devil as he hates her because there is not stain of sin in her or on her, ergo, she was never, from conception forward, in his grasp or power per Genesis 3:15, a mutual hatred/warring against each other.

  • Can a transvestite polygamist Mormon woman also teach? Yes/No?

  • Julie LaBrecque

Do you see how woefully your church has interpreted scripture? Do you see how their ineptness and neglect have put you in an untenable position? What do you mean, you will have to study and pray for the answer? Can you not see it? Who else could this be speaking of? Luke clearly relates that Mary is the Ark. Psalm 132:8 clearly states that His mighty ark arises. Rev 11:19 clearly shows that the Ark is in the heavenly Temple. Jesus is the Temple, Mary is the Ark.

  • The really slim shady

Yes, i like that one too.
But they dont believe that the “until” means until.

You know, we cant understand what the text says, we need someone “qualified” to explain it for us.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

Not one bit interested in your twisting scripture to suit your narrative and the narratives of frauds. Nothing of what those morons and frauds predicted happened on the date they set, period. I repeat Hagee, Blitz and Cahn are frauds and charlatans.

I am sure you didn’t read all of my posts to you, if not you will not be replying to me with more contortions and twisting. Your interpretation of bible verses has no authority. You use the bible like your feel good phrase of the day book, so to you anything in verses cherry picked can mean whatever you want it to be. The bible says Judas Iscariot hung himself, it also says in the bible, go do the same. If I wanted to advocate stupid hang themselves, I would use these two verses.

You are the epitome of cherry picking and putting those verses to mean something altogether different from the context.
You and your little league of heroes of “anointed ones” can go on until the end of time contriving with deceit to predict the apocalypse, but it will take to the end of time, until then untold amounts of predictions will be put forth by similar fraudsters, scamsters and charlatans, and there will be only one time throughout the history of soothsayers, and false prophets will they be correct that is when the end of times is actually upon us. Before that happens you and your ilk will be proven false over and over again.

  • I think you might need to go get a Catholic exorcism with all of that babble your spewing.

  • Rapheal Sebastian

People like you would tell Christ Himself that He wasn’t Christ-like. You would probably think that Christ would not call out fraudsters using His name. If you had seen him turn tables over and smash bird cages and pull out a whip and beat the crap out of those in the temple you wouldn’t be too quick to say who is Christ like or not. You are a hypocrite! What you need obviously is a proper teaching on Christianity. Gullible people like you defend the indefensible, yet you want to come around and talk about how biblical Hagee and his sycophants, Cahn and his Judaizing heresy are.
I have no time for your BS or the BS that you defend. It has been refuted on this very site by the operator who apparently knows some them in person and have called them out for their fraud. No one in their right mind would call what those charlatans have done biblical, your soothsayers, practitioners of the occult and date setters will have to answer for the falsity and so would all those that defend them.

I strive to tell the truth and call out the frauds that use the Lord’s words and name to carry out their malfeasance, if that to you is not Christian then once again you call good evil and evil good. You just need to see a shrink and get that head fixed, obviously you are naive, gullible and weak minded, (the perfect prey for charlatans and the diabolical) but are so apt at twisting verses which is skillset that the diabolical appreciates and know it can use. You have already demonstrated that so skillfully with your inability to show Jesus said “blood moons” but instead twisted Joel to make your point.

So shut it, I have neither the patience nor the inclination to deal with such idiocy to which despite being proven false you still cling to this BS, it’s obvious you bought into this BS and now that you are invested in it, you have to defend your investment, if not, the core of your invested beliefs is shattered, you are in denial that your beliefs are false, you clutch at anything to make them seem real, but if you were honest with yourself, you know that you are defending frauds. A sick mind, a weak mind and gullibility, the trifecta that frauds depend on to make a living. That is what you are.

So you refute scripture? Jesus breathed on the Apostles and gave them POWER AND AUTHORITY TO FORGIVE OR NOT TO FORGIVE SINS. (John 20:21-23). Paul clearly exercises this power in 1 Cor 5:1-5 – notice: he PRNOUNCED JUDGEMENT ON THE SINNER – and assigned PENANCE. Why do you sola scripturists DENY scripture?

  • Julie LaBrecque

Yes I am aware of it Melissa – can you tell me who the PRINCE is that can eat his bread there? Is this happening at the literal East Gate?

  • Julie LaBrecque

Then apply the same interpretation of UNTIL to Matt 1:25. No one interpreted it like modern day protestants do. Even Luther, Calvin, and Zwingli stated that Mary NEVER had carnal relations with St. Joseph – this is the problem of individual interpretation of scripture – has led to 40,000 protestant sects, ALL of whom differ in the interpretation of Scripture. Mary is the East Gate that NO MAN can enter because the Lord the God of Israel entered through it. She is the fountain sealed, the dove undefiled, Song of Songs.

What a load of BS – He gave them the power AND the authority to forgive or NOT to forgive sins – and you want to sit there and say He didn’t mean for them to exercise it? Why did Paul declare JUDGMENT on the sinner, assign PENANCE, then release him from his sin AFTER the penance was completed?
