Small Michigan Town Council Votes NO To Mega Mosque, CAIR Sues Them And Now The Justice Department Is Forcing The Town To Build The Mosque With Taxpayer Dollars In Largest Settlement Ever

$1.7 Million Dollars- that is how much that Pittsfield Township, MI is being forced by the US Justice Department to pay a group of Muslims to build a 70,000 sq foot mega mosque after being sued by CAIR when the zoning board voted against permitting the monstrosity to be built:

A Michigan township will pay an Islamic school $1.7 million as part of a settlement reached after a majority of the planning commission voted against a Muslim group’s request to build the facility.

Earlier this week, Pittsfield Township agreed to pay the sum of $1.7 million and allow the Michigan Islamic Academy to begin construction of a 70,000-square-foot school.

Pittsfield agreed to the settlement which was reached after two lawsuits were filed against it by the U.S. Justice Department and the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

In a statement released Thursday, CAIR-MI said the settlement is one of the largest ever settled based on the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000.

“We welcome the settlement with Pittsfield Township and hope the outcome of this case will serve as a deterrent to other municipalities throughout the country seeking to deny Muslim institutions the right to build or expand their facilities on the basis of religion,” stated CAIR-MI Legal Director Lena Masri.

In August 2011, the Pittsfield Township Planning Commission rejected in a vote of 3-2 a request by the Islamic Academy to build a school in the area.

“About 125 residents attended and about 50 spoke during public comment. Most of those opposed to the plan stressed that they have no issue with the school being Islamic, but said their concerns centered around traffic, children’s safety and the school being inconsistent with the master plan,” the Ann Arbor News reported in 2011.

Later in October 2011, the Pittsfield Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously to affirm the recommendation from the planning commission to reject the rezoning request of the Islamic Academy.

In February 2012, the Islamic Academy and CAIR filed a lawsuit against Pittsfield in district court, accusing the Township of violating their religious liberty under RLUIPA.

The Justice Department eventually filed a suit against Pittsfield in October 2015, with U.S. District Attorney Barbara McQuade writing in a statement that they filed the lawsuit “to protect the right of all Americans to practice their religion and receive the religious instruction and education of their choice.”

“This complaint alleges that Pittsfield Township denied the Michigan Islamic Academy’s request to build a school in violation of that law,” continued McQuade. (source)

I don’t believe the town wants this- they were forced to do this.

I have been saying it for years and I will say it again: America will not be conquered from without by a Muslim army, but if Islam does conquer, it will come from within from the court system. The most dangerous Islamic terrorist today does not put on a headscarf and strap a bomb to himself while randomly shooting people with an AK-47, but he is clean shaven wearing a designer-brand suit and carrying a briefcase while going to court each morning on behalf of his clients. The Muslim lawyer is the real “trojan horse” because as it is an unspoken but universally recognized fact of life in America that legislation comes through the courts, and since the judges are all taken from the ranks of lawyers, then if there are enough Muslim lawyers then it is only a matter of time until a Muslim becomes a judge, at which point he can be able to raise himself through the ranks of the courts until he reaches district and possibly even the Supreme Court.

Abid Qureishi, a recent Obama appointee for federal judge and terrorist sympathiser. As I wrote about him, Islam’s greatest weapon to conquer America is the courts.

One of the key points that has aided this is America’s unhealthy obsession with “diversity” at all costs and regardless of the “diversity” in question. Yes, it is good there are people of different backgrounds represented in the fields of public service in American life, but background does affect how a person responds to any given situation for better or for worse. Diversity does not always mean better, it just means different. The Muslims know this well too, and as such they are able to easily exploit the American left’s obsession with diversity by simply saying that “there are not enough Muslims in positions of legal leadership so that is discrimination,” and the self-righteous American left, enmeshed in their pride, will find ways to give Muslims who want to be lawyers favor over true hard-working Americans regardless of color or creed that is not Islam.

Mark my words, this forcing the mega mosque on this township is just another step in the descent of the USA from its roots into Islam, for if the government continues to force cities and individuals to pass laws and spend money to the favor of Muslims and Islam, then it is only a matter of time until this same government does the opposite to Christians with the same goal of uniting America to the dar Al-Islam.

    Behold the evil of Freemasonry. Exposed in “Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked” from the 19th Century (a work blessed by Pope Leo XIII) you can see the very beginnings of the concept of ‘tolerance’ being used as a weapon chiefly to attack the Catholic Church and its values;
    A short extract:
“The formation in “tolerance” given in the Lodges aims
not merely at that negative mental state which puts religious
truth and error on the same level, treating them both with
indifference; it aims at the production of a positive hatred of
what it calls the “intolerance” of the Catholic Church, namely
the Catholic Church’s insistence on the Divine Plan for order.
The formation in Masonic “tolerance,” then, is really a formation
in hatred of the firmness and strength of the Catholic
Church, in standing for the Supernatural Life and order of the
world. This is the ultimate reason why Anglo-Saxon Masonry,
ostensibly so conservative, has constantly favoured movements
towards the Left, opposed to the true order of the world.
The effect of the ambiguous naturalistic formation of
Masonry in regard to the State, accompanied as it is by denunciations
of “tyranny” and “usurpation,” corresponding to
the denunciations of “superstition” and “intolerance” in regard
to religion, will be to favour the same tendency to the
Left. States will be assailed as “tyrannies” in proportion to
the extent in which they accept Our Lord’s Programme for
order. In Catholic countries violent revolution will be always
aimed at in order to get rid of the existing social structure in
which the Kingship of Christ is respected.” (Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked. Msgr Dillion.p22)

Maybe, just maybe, is the punishment God is allowing in USA to pay for its crimes. The people will pay for the errors of their leaders, it is always the whole nation who suffers.

Sickening. If anyone expects any pro Christian or pro conservative things to come out of our current government, I think they are sadly mistaken. If there are any in the government that have opposed all this crap for at least the past 8 years all that they have done is prove their impotence in the face of treason.

Now it looks like it will be almost impossible for any mosque to be refused to be built. All future mosques will refer to this case and most certainly be granted to be built no matter what anyone says. This is getting way out of hand. Something must be done to put a stop to it.

‘One of the key points that has aided this is America’s unhealthy obsession with “diversity” at all costs and regardless of the “diversity” in question.’
I’ve slowly come to the view Andrew, that in religion the diversity idea needs to be handled with great care. ‘Diversity’ and ‘religious freedom’ has come to mean ‘Everything goes and anything will do.’
Everything does not go and anything will not do. Charles Manson and his followers are in prison. David Koresh and his Branch Davidian are no more. Jim Jones had to take his followers to the Colombia jungle before inducing all 900 of them to drink poison and kill themselves.
Everything does not go and anything will not do. There is already the legal concept of the dangerous cult. The question is, where do we draw the line between the acceptable religion and the dangerous cult?
The Bible answers this question. 1 John 4:1-4. All those spirits that tell the truth about Christ are of God. You can trust them. All those spirits that hide the truth about Christ are not of God but are of Antichrist. You cannot trust them. They are working for your destruction.
For some reason we have come to believe that this scripture applies to individuals but it doesn’t apply in the public, political sphere. This is a false belief. We are disabling our faith.
We know from biblical prophecy that all the nations of the earth will be ruled by Christ for a long time before his Second Coming.
We should be working toward the rule of Christ over the nations. Christians, those who believe and confess that Jesus is the Son of God made man and the only Savior of the world, should not be advocating for the freedom of the spirits of Antichrist to destroy our nations. We cannot work for Christ and against him at the same time.
We have been far too accepting of dangerous cults luring people away from the life giving Gospel of Christ. It needs to come to an end before it is too late. We cannot withstand the attack being waged against us by the biggest dangerous cult in history as long as we keep preaching the false gospel of ‘Everything goes and anything will do.’

    • Higlac

Sorry but you’re WRONG!!! In fact, that’s a heresy, sad to say…

Christ WON’T – repeat, WON’T – Rule Over the nations of the earth (in terms of Governing them) until His Second Coming!!!! That’s an OXYMORON!!!!

Furthermore, we can absolutely NEVER succeed in working toward the rule of Christ over the nations prior to then!!!!! Mankind is much too EVIL, too divided, too infected by the Devil and his schemes to ever allow such a development!!!!

      • PaulF

You need to check what Scripture says before shooting off about its contents. The prophecy I refer to is so frequent in Scripture that it’s hard to know where to start.
Try Psalm 2. Note the warning God gives to the kings of the earth in verses 10-12. He tells them that if they do not submit their ways to the Lord, their ways will come to nothing. They will be destroyed. In other words, he is calling on all rulers and the nations they rule to come under the gentle yoke of Christ. He does this again and again in Scripture.
And try Revelation 20:4-10. It states explicitly that Christ and his people will rule the nations for a thousand years before the final conflict between Christ and Satan before the Final Judgment.
That is why our conceptions of ‘religious freedom’ and ‘diversity’ are pure deception. Even the churches have been deceived into giving up on the coming kingdom of Christ on earth, now, before the close of the age. That is why false religion, dangerous cults, the occult, are rampaging among our people and we are powerless to resist them as long as we tie ourselves up in knots with our bungled ideas about ‘religious freedom’ and ‘diversity.’

        • Higlac

Actually, I have studied that part of Scripture a fair bit.

Everything what you’ve covered is true EXCEPT for the timing of the Antichrist: he will appear BEFORE Christ’s Second Coming. – which means that his appearance is imminent. It will take place BEFORE Christ’s Reign In the Blessed Millennium – and the Antichrist will be imprisoned with Satan and his fallen angels (demons) in the Bottomless Pit. When the Blessed Millennium is up, then all those elements (Satan, Antichrist, demons) will be released for a “short” time in which they’ll make trouble again – and be defeated again, at which point the earth will become THE Lake of Fire in which all those creatures plus everybody not found in the “Book” (Database) of Life will burn day and night for all time.

If I recollect to you that the first classical sign as the Church has it has been fulfilled (the spreading out of the Gospel for all nations) and the second one is happening before our eyes right now (the Great Falling-Away), the third is about to strike (the Antichrist’s appearance). Only when ALL three of these signs have been fulfilled can we expect Christ’s Second Coming to take place.

Either way, it’s NOT – repeat, NOT – that Christ’s Kingdom won’t come to this earth, for it will. HOWEVER – and this is a great big HOWEVER – it won;t be by our efforts, which are far too puny to achieve something like this. Christ WILL Be the One to Fulfill it, upon which the Blessed Millennium WILL Take Place.

          • PaulF

There’s no way I’d put timescales on it as neatly as you do. Jesus said, it is not for you to know the times and seasons which the Father has appointed by his own authority, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes.
The Gospel has not been preached to all nations. There are several thousand language groups in Asia who have never heard of the Gospel.
Of course our efforts will not place Christ in authority over the nations. The point is that he has already been placed in authority over all nations, but we are befuddling ourselves with ‘freedom of religion’ and the glory of the hotch potch so that we can’t recognize it.
He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Mt 28:18). Please note the past tense.
My question is: How is it that we can give effect to this with the Moonies, the Branch Davidian etc but we can’t even contemplate doing it with a religion thousands of times more dangerous than all these put together?
My answer is: Because we have been deceived into exalting ‘freedom of religion’ higher than God himself, and if we don’t change course it will destroy us.

          • Higlac

Care to name a few of those language groups? I don’t believe that they’re that many; furthermore, if they haven’t heard, they WILL hear very soon thanks in part to Western technology. There’s no way anybody will escape it.

          • PaulF

He has left Satan in a caretaker authority position on this earth? No he hasn’t. Absolutely false. Satan’s authority is asserted by Satan. It is not asserted by Christ.
Check Fr Chad Ripperger, exorcist of Tulsa. He says that the demons can only work within extremely narrow windows allowed by Christ for our ultimate benefit. Christ is in complete, total, constant authority over everything that happens as he prepares a people for himself.
Language groups that have never heard of the Gospel? The Nubri are one example. The Tsum are another. Google ‘unreached people groups.’ You will be very surprised at what you learn, and you will not repeat your claim that all nations have had the Gospel preached to them. Bear in mind that the ‘nations’ to which Christ commissioned us to go and make him known, are in Greek ‘ethne,’ groups of people with a single set of customs, usually but not always marked by language. Thousands of them have not been reached, totaling more than 1.5 billion people.

          • Higlac

This reply is incomplete; I’m posting it here as a stop-gap and to show that I’m doing my research.

First: it seems that you’re giving more weight to people and tradition (e.g., that exorcist of the town of Tulsa in OK {if I err not} in the USA) than to the Bible which surely ought to be #1. I know of no Biblical authority as pinioning Satan to be under such severe and petty rules as what you’re suggesting.

Second: on checking via Google, I see that both “Tsum” and “Nubri” seem to be very small areas and clan-type tribes in Nepal that wouldn’t be able to maintain a cohesive group-status of their own for long in the face of larger nation-groups like Nepal, Indian districts or those of Pakistan., which consequently will be cognisant of languages like Nepali, Hindi or English as secondary languages – and those WILL have thus had the chance to be reached by the Gospel, even if not in their local dialect. This will mean that your premise is false.

After checking (via the same search engine) for both “un-reached people groups” and its synonym “un-contacted people”, we get the following under the latter: “In 2013 it was estimated that there were more than 100 uncontacted tribes around the world, mostly in the densely forested areas of South America, Central Africa, and New Guinea. Knowledge of the existence of these groups comes mostly from infrequent and sometimes violent encounters with neighboring tribes, and from aerial footage.”

Third: your premise that Satan’s influence is “small” – …

          • PaulF

I rely on missionary organizations for my information on people groups. Asia Harvest is a good one, and there are others. I believe they know what they are talking about. In fact, Paul Hattaway of Asia Harvest is so determined to identify the unreached people groups for that very reason, because he believes that until they are reached, Christ’s Second Coming will not take place. He even says that in reaching them with the Gospel we hasten the Second Coming. He would challenge your complacency very strongly.
Certainly not relying on Fr Ripperger against the Bible. Truth is I can find no biblical support for your view that Christ has given Satan any authority whatever over this world. Satan grants himself such authority, but my Bible tells me that he is a liar and the father of lies. I’m very surprised, to be honest, that you credit so much to him, and I strongly advise you against doing it. Our praise should be for God, not Satan.

          • Higlac

Most certainly I have ZERO praise or love whatsoever for the Devil; however, if he didn’t have so much authority over the world as the ex-archangel Lucifer, we wouldn’t be seeing so much evil and woe striking this entire world: be it pollution (thanks to greed!!!), murder, genocide, hate, &c., can’t you see how much he HAS to be in power to do so much woe to us all???

More thereon later. Yes, the praise goes to God, but we can’t belittle His Enemy!!!

          • PaulF

            Two problems with your position:
            1. It is a logical fallacy to say that because Satan has power over men, God gave him that power.
            2. You will not find a single verse in Scripture for the view that God gave Satan his power over men. On the contrary, when Satan told Jesus to fall down and worship him because all the kingdoms of the earth had been given into his power, Jesus immediately rejected the lie he told: “Begone Satan, for it is written, You shall worship Yahweh your God, and him alone shall you serve.'”
I understand very well the view you adopt. It can take a lifetime to see through the lies of the world. The highest authorities on earth pompously protect Satan’s position of power over men and their governments, even daring to suggest that God has appointed him to it. Men write laws and constitutions to guarantee the protection of the horrible religions of Antichrist (Satan) which have nothing to offer anyone except destruction. Schools and universities mouth the praises of false religion for generation after generation of our children. So yes, I understand it is hard to see through the whitewash.
But you can never blame God for the confusion. God will never lie to you. The word of God – I’ve read it from cover to cover many times and I know this – will never praise the works of the devil; the Bible will never speak to you of the religions of Antichrist in any terms except terms of utter abhorrence. Neither should you.

          • Higlac

To your point #1: remember, God CREATED Satan as Lucifer and made him an archangel right on the same rank as Gabriel, Michael and Raphael. That wretch however fell in love with himself (as we read in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14 – I know about the quibbles of some scholars but won’t let them tell me what to believe any more than anybody else regardless of denomination or branch!!!!) and decided that he should be God instead of His Creator Yahweh. Thus he rebelled and was finally cast out of Heaven.

            2) It’s PRECISELY BECAUSE Lucifer – who so became Satan – had been created with the status that he had that he AUTOMATICALLY acquired power from God ipso facto, whether one likes it or not – and it would strongly seem that he acquired power over Mankind via the Original Sin given how he snared first Eve and then Adam her husband.

Don’t get me wrong: of course I ABHOR Satan and everything about or of him – you NEVER need to think otherwise under absolutely ANY circumstances whatsoever. However, the sad fact is that Satan IS the governor of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4, St. John 12:31 and 14:30). Furthermore, thanks to the Original Sin, Mankind without God is intrinsically EVIL (Genesis 8:21, Psalm 51, Jeremiah 17:9, Romans 3:10; St. Matthew 19:17, St. Mark 10:18 and St. Luke 18:19 – no doubt there are other verses yet I don’t remember offhand). ONLY WHEN somebody is completely in God’s Power and Given Over to Him can he do any real good whatsoever – only ONE sin is sufficient to land him back into his natural, evil state!!!

I’m NOT blaming God for any confusion or anything else, and nor am I interested in the least possible tiny bit in protecting anything Satanic; however, it’s plain that Satan didn’t get his power and authority from thin air!!!

          • PaulF

            Mankind is not intrinsically evil.
Satan has no power over anyone who doesn’t join his revolt. God gives no one authority to sin (Ben Sirach 15:20).
Satan’s rule over this world has already been broken by Christ, he is destined to be cast down long before the close of the age, and there is nothing in heaven or on earth to prevent us from praying and working toward that end right now, as individuals and churches and nations.

          • Higlac

Re. Mankind: you’re contradicting the Bible.

Genesis 8:21 has “…the imagination of Man’s heart is evil from his youth.”
Jeremiah 17:9 says: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Psalm 51:5: “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” [Now, surely King David is NOT speaking merely about himself, as on the basis of the previous two quotations one can see that this status applies to us ALL!!!]

Yes, Satan’s rule has been defeated; however, it still has been left in place until Christ Returns, alas. All the traditions of the Church can NEVER gainsay what the Bible Teaches us as God’s Word. Your being so willing to do so makes me wonder about your theological orthodoxy; it also makes me nervous about joining the Romanist Church. [I was born Orthodox and raised in both Protestantism and Orthodoxy.]

          • PaulF

Ah, I see. You’re not a Trinitarian Christian.
My apology, I misunderstood your position and thought we were on common ground.
            Thanks, I enjoyed the discussion.

          • Higlac

WRONG!!!! I AM a Trinitarian Christian – always have been, am and always will be!!!!

          • PaulF

Isolating us from the church is Satan’s primary method of gaining control over us. So I’m not surprised you set him on such an exalted pedestal.
I suggest you get him back under your feet by going back to church.
The church doesn’t abandon you when you fall short. Don’t abandon the church when it falls short.

          • Higlac

            HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

I’ve been WELL HURT by not just one but at least TWO if not THREE different church-congregations in my life. I’ll admit to being partly at fault in one case due to mental troubles which weren’t fully diagnosed at the time (though they were already being treated); however, the way they and the other two made sure I was absolutely unwelcome (a few of their people insinuated that I should never set foot on their property for any reason), coupled with my anyway not fitting into society, has inclined me to simply avoid all unnecessary social contact – and the less the better!!! No church-services, no concerts, staying as much as possible out of sight: that’s my lot.

And again, I DON’T set Satan on ANY pedestal; however, too many of you like to pretend that all’s well and that it’s our own fault for having troubles in our lives – another reason for me to shun you all!!!! At least I know that with God, I don’t have to fear injustice the way I’ve repeatedly been punished by people throughout my life, starting even with my parents from early childhood. Not for nothing that I’ve come to hate society, period…

Gee I don’t know, maybe because they’re always mouthing off about how much they hate us and want us dead. Do you think that might it? Or I could list at least a dozen more reasons.

  • PaulF

Sorry, I thought they were still debriefing Moonies.
Islam is more dangerous than all other cults combined and multiplied by a thousand. If anything can be defined as a dangerous cult, the term has to apply to it. To accord it the same rights as Christianity is insanity in my opinion.

  • Higlac

They would be first all rounded up with the help of both the police and the army, using help if and as necessary from trustworthy anti-Moslem countries like Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and eventually perhaps Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Armenia, Bulgaria and Romania.

Those who have travel documents from other countries would be flown back to those countries – those who don’t would be dumped into Saudi Arabia by parachute from low-flying military transports like Hercules C-130 with NOTHING whatsoever but the (most generic possible) clothes on their backs. Without any documentation the Saudis would have them as THEIR problem to deal with as they please!!!

  • Higlac

That shows me how much you’re addicted to an individualistic view of people as ALL being individuals who can make up their own minds irrespective of factors like religion, politics, &c.

You have to realise that Islam FORBIDS things we take for granted like individuality. The whole idea of “human rights” is not only foreign but ANATHEMA to it and its authorities. Moslems are FORBIDDEN to think for themselves in fact: EVERYTHING is DICTATED down to them as per the example of their IDOL Mohammed and his sock-puppet “allah”.

  • PaulF

With due respect to the COD, smallness is not the measure of a cult, and the term ‘relatively’ in ‘relatively small’ renders the expression meaningless.
Your implied claim that larger means less dangerous is ridiculous.

  • James

Thank you 😉 The book can be found in PDF format from this link

The book is a brilliant read and covers so much history, history that is concealed. Pope Leo XIII not only blessed the book but paid for it to be published in Italian. It covers so much; the masonic plan to destroy the morality of women, the covent of Willhemsbad and the planning of the French Revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte as a Freemason and antiChrist and the true story of his career.

Former mason now restored Catholic John Salza is an excellent resource on the errors of Freemasonry as he reached the 32nd degree before leaving.

He also runs an excellent website

There is so much more though. In light of Our Lady of La Salette, that Rome would become the Seat of the Antichrist and then if you look up various recent pontiffs on Youtube as Freemasons there are plenty of bizarre handshakes going on. This page here with the horned hand gesture Francis is giving is also rather disturbing. He must surely know what it means?

The Rosicrucitions were there in London in 1717 at the meeting which lead to the founding of the London Temple. (at 23:00 into the video)

Still as we were told at Fatima the dogma is key. Garabandal is post Vatican II and Our Lady told the children there to always obey the Church. As far as I’m concerned the SSPX is schismatic as it broke from Rome. We need to remain within the true Roman Church but adhere to its old ways. No doubt the present darkness will pass and the Church will be true again thanks to the kind grace of the Blessed Mother.

The Brown Cloth Scapular of Mount Carmel has the universal promise that whosoever dies wearing this scapular shall not suffer the eternal fire. Wearing this scapular is the highest form of devotion to Our Lady and a true safe guard for these most terrible of times, as is dedication to the most Holy Rosary. The scapular is the shield, the Rosary is the sword.

The promises are of Our Lord are also truth too for the Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet and for the Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (To be recited daily for 9 consecutive days) Novena promulgated by St.Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690)

    I. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive,
seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I
knock, I seek and ask for the grace of…… (here name your request) Our
Father….Hail Mary….Glory Be to the Father…. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I
place all my trust in you.

II. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the
Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask
the Father for the grace of……. (here name your request) Our Father…Hail
Mary….Glory Be To the Father…. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust
    in you.

III. O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass
away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words
I now ask for the grace of….. (here name your request) Our Father….Hail
Mary….Glory Be to the Father… Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust
    in you.

O’ Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the
afflicted, have pity on us poor sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of
you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do
we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears! Turn, then, O most gracious
Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto
us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin
Mary; Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the
    promises of Christ.

St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

Some promises Jesus made to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque for those who make the devotion to His most Sacred Heart:

    (1) I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
    (2) I will establish peace in their homes.
    (3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
    (4) I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.
    (5) I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.
    (6) Sinners will find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
    (7) Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.
    (8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
    (9) I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honored.
    (10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
    (11) Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart.
    (12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

Yes receiving Holy Communion for the First Fridays for Nine Consecutive months rewarding us with the grace of final perseverance is another wonderful promise on which we can rely. A binding truth and a great source of hope.

There is also a way in which to help the souls in Purgatory which is a duty of ours. The prayer was given by Our Lord to St. Gertrude she was told that each time this prayer is said it sets 1000 souls free from Purgatory, so it is a most excellent prayer.
“Eternal Father I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son Jesus in union with the masses said throughout the world today for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my family, Amen”

It’s more than selecting the readings. Identifying the word of God is an essential role of the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit.
You are right, Scripture and Tradition are not separate. Jeremiah heard the word of God and spoke it long before it was committed to writing by a scribe. Similar with the words of Jesus. Similar with so much of Scripture. Their words were the word of God long before they were written down.

    • Two2trees

Of course it’s more than a reading list for Sundays. I certainly didn’t mean to imply that the value of scripture is so limited.

  • PaulF

I hope your head is comfortable with the sand in which you are burying it!

  • Higlac

I’ve known not a few Moslems from my school days (as well as my young-adulthood) and was the victim of both their bullying and lies!!!

Looking back after as much as 45 years, I came to realise their mindsets were already set against us from deepest childhood!!!

  • Higlac

In fact, it wasn’t one but three different private English-speaking schools in Rome, Italy – and that was not less than 35 years ago. My mental disorders and consequent difficulties in fitting in forced me to change schools four times in my first 8 years of being a pupil.

  • Higlac

Those features were NOT – repeat, NOT!!! – thanks to the Moslems but were common to Middle Eastern architecture at the time.

Besides, who brought home those features? It was not the Moslems but the CRUSADERS who, after their countries being repeatedly attacked and pillaged by those scoundrels for over 450 years, finally counter-attacked them.

    So there.

  • Higlac

Again wrong with regards to schooling!!! With possibly one exception (which I left after 2 months – since then it went on to become a little better than when I knew that one), none of the schools I went to were inferior or poor in the slightest. In particular, the high-school I went to there was and still is VERY highly ranked: in fact, to this day it still remains one of very few schools – if not the only school – accredited high-school outside of North America by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Most of the schools in fact were as outstanding as any you could ask for; and that’s saying something.

In fact, when I returned to Canada, I found the history courses given at my local high-school to be distinctly poorer and shallower than what was the case overseas!! It was a most grievous disappointment. Furthermore, the way we were taught math and English-literature as well as foreign languages was every bit as good as you could want.

  • Higlac

First, have you read the Qur’ân? If so, did you read the Hadith?? How about the Sira??? [Or do you believe in welcoming people into your house no matter what they say they’re going to do to you??]

Second, if you had read all those books (and it sounds like you’ve not read a SINGLE one of them!!!!), have you compared them to the Bible in terms of their overall messages??? Until you do so, you can hardly comment with your universal-individualist outlook – the way you do it makes you look like an absolute ignoramus.

Third, I’ve mentioned a total of not one but SIX schools {4 American, 2 British}, all private, with 5 out of 6 being prestigious – all of them experienced in my first 10 years of schooling (I left Italy in 1978, 38 years ago). You think I only dealt with ONE school – and that’s where you’re in error!!!

    • Higlac

Postscript: regarding my first 8 years of schooling, here is the timeline for the 5 elementary (including middle) institutions attended:

School 1 (where I had my greatest initial difficulties in fitting in on account of that my parents, to whom English was a second language (in fact, my father learned it as #6; Mother as #5}, spoke Serbian at home – I was suddenly hurled into an English-speaking school with zero preparation, so I didn’t even last a day!!!): after language-tutoring (my parents had to make an extra effort to speak what after all was a foreign tongue to them in my presence!!!) plus perpetual chaperoning, I lasted 3½ years before they expelled me.

#2: I still was very borderline (likely close to expulsion) but managed to last 2½ years before they decided they couldn’t accept me any more. [To boot, when I entered it, I was deemed as having been a grade too high; consequently I fell back from Grade 4 to Grade 3.]

#3: This school had a 1-month probationary period, after which I was failed – I was thus forced to

#4. This was the seediest of the lot at the time – I stayed there 2½ months until my parents were able to transfer me to

#5. I had my grave difficulties there indeed, but also a decent number of good people in both the staff and the student body. In the 1½ years I had there, I was starting to finally bloom a bit.

It was in schools #1, 4 and 5 where I had the bad luck to encounter those Moslems I crossed paths with.

Is this to say that you don’t know what the Hadith and the Sira happen to be?

Here I’m painfully aware that Mr. Walid Shoebat would be far better the man to answer you than I; however, since it is I who have found myself saddled with this burden, I’ll make the initial try at least – everybody else is invited in to criticise or help as he or she sees fit.

If the Qur’ân is the Islamic equivalent of the Scriptures of Judaism and Chrstianity, the Hadith (as being the traditions of Mohammed and his closest companions) are the “Sacred-Tradition” component of both Catholic and Orthodox (as well as the “High-Church” equivalents in Protestantism (principally if not exclusively Anglicanism, Lutheranism); while the Sira is the official ONE biography of Mohammed from birth through death (as opposed to the several “traditions” that make up the Hadith).

My point here is that you’ll find a certain definite consistency of message and purpose between the Qur’ân, Hadith and Sira: a perpetual commandment to constantly wage WAR against any and all non-Moslems and everything they stand for until it ALL is EXTERMINATED!!!!! [In the Qur’ân, there are over 100 commandments calling for exactly that end such that when peace is made, NOTHING and NOBODY “un-Islamic” EVEN EXISTS!!!! Is THIS what we usually deliberately do to others (and, worse yet, always proclaim these goals to be our life-purposes)????]

Regarding gamelan ensembles in Nevada vs. Western music in dar al-Islam: my BIG point is that Islamic “music”, Indonesian gamelans and other such exotic instruments are NOT – repeat, NOT – LEGALLY BANNED in the West – whereas Western music (especially “classical”) as well as its instruments are absolutely BANNED in Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen for starters!!! [Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives and other places are also at risk if the Moslem proportion becomes anything close to 100%.]

To sum up: if you seriously want to say that Moslem people and their “religion” are the same as any other people &/or code of beliefs, you have to be able to explain how is it that what looks MOST different to any observer happens to be otherwise. This means that you by definition MUST – repeat, MUST – be at least sufficiently conversant with their “culture”, “values”, “beliefs-system”, &c. in order to do the job properly. Otherwise, you’ll be an ignoramus who’ll fall flat upon your face; furthermore, you open yourself up to the grave danger of misleading anybody who reads or listens to what you’re babbling. If you mislead (e.g., by “comparing apples and oranges”), you run the serious risk of being HATED for a very, very long time indeed (depending on what the consequences happen to be)…

  • Just a citizen

Rubbish. Islam copied from Christian churches.
Try and convince me otherwise, won’t work. I know history, made it my business to from very young.
We agree to disagree : you love mosques I don’t . End of.

  • Higlac

Thanks for the book recommendations – when I’ve time and the requisite energy, I’ll look into them.

However, my BIG point is that those people are aiming to DESTROY absolutely EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY “un-Islamic”!!!!

This is NOT a subject for intellectual dissection and polite chatting UNTIL we have secured ourselves against their GENOCIDAL threats and actions!!!! Don’t you see how all those three books (Qur’ân, Hadith, Sira) DEMAND our utter extermination past the point of any traces of non-Islamic civilisation being recognisable or retrievable????

    O P E N Y O U R E Y E S, for goodness’ sake!!!!!

From what I could understand of your questions and presumptions, you wanted – maybe still want – to paint me as a “bigoted” ignoramus, perhaps even call me a “racist” and a “hate spreader”!!!! [Certainly Moslems are NOT a “race”; consequently, you can’t call me a “racist”.]

So be it: we “filthy, stupid infidels” have as much right as anybody to defend ourselves and isolate those who want to destroy us just as we would isolate a colony of murderous virii and bacteria (e.g., bubonic plague, TB, diphtheria) – which our Marxist politicians are all too happy to encourage in their filthy desires to eternally reign over presumably dumbed-down, docile virtual robots. Only, THAT’S NOT how it will work out!!!

  • Higlac

Actually, the Sira IS the official biography – and not just according to Dr. Warner.

My first academic exposure to “Islamic History & Civilisation” was a high-school course I took in Grade 10 – and that’s what our teacher (who was VERY LEARNED about his subject – he among other things had traveled to MANY of those places in Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Iran and Afghanistan and showed us slides he himself had photographed!!!) also told us. [We actually in that course read parts of the Qur’ân, though not the Hadith.]

  • Higlac

My #1 source for checking out Islamic texts is:

  • Higlac

Fine, I’ll accept that the Hadith isn’t a single book in itself (I know of Bukhari, Muslim and the rest); the point is that they DO add up to a complete collection – and ALL of it being ODIOUS reading just like the Qur’ân!!!

  • Higlac

I’ve gone through Bukhari, Abu Muslim, Ishaq. I could only tolerate a very little: it was so utterly DISGUSTING!!!
