Tensions between the Jews, especially the “ultra-orthodox”/Hasidic/Haredi type groups have become very extreme, to the point of resulting in violence being committed against Christians and Muslims in Israel. Recently one of such types attempted to burn down a Catholic Church for no clear motivation other than hatred, the infamous massacre of Muslims or no reason other than their existence by the American Jewish terrorist Baruch Goldstein, and one must recall not only the abundance of daily violent attacks and abuse, but other horrible incidents and their consistent defense of such murder and abuse by other fellow sect members. Likewise, sometimes this violence even crosses against fellow Jews of a less or non-religious background.
According to ABNA24 News, dozens of “Extremist Jewish settlers” did another act of brazen anger as they stormed into the Al-Aqsa mosque courtyards and proceeded, with police protection, to perform “Talmudic rituals.”
Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning and performed Talmudic rituals under heavy police protection.
Jerusalemite sources reported that 86 settlers, including 40 students of extremist religious institutes, stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning period during the daily incursions.
The settlers assembled in the al-Rahma Gate and the eastern area of Al-Aqsa Mosque during which they performed provocative Talmudic rituals.
The Israeli police closed the Maghareba Gate after the end of the morning incursions while they continued to evacuate the eastern region and the al-Rahma Gate prayer hall during the settlers’ incursions.
The settler incursions are part of periodic tours aiming to change the fait accompli in the Holy City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
During the evening incursions, the Israeli police provided the settlers an additional half hour, between 12:30 and 2:00 instead of 1:30.
The head of the Islamic Supreme Authority in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, warned of the seriousness of the recent request of the extremist Jewish groups. They asked to build a Talmudic school in the eastern square of Al-Aqsa to gain a foothold in it after they failed to control and convert the al-Rahma Gate to a synagogue.
Sheikh Sabri warned that the occupation is trying to take away the powers of the endowments in Al-Aqsa and gradually take control of the Holy City.
He pointed out that the temporal and spatial division policy that the occupation is trying to impose began decades ago but Jerusalemites and the Palestinians in 1948 Occupied Palestine responded to that scheme and prevented the imposition of the occupation hegemony on Al-Quds. (source)
The brazen nature of these sects, while not unknown, has been enabled by government policies. While it is understandable that people want to practice their beliefs, often times this comes at the open expense of others, to which one standard is held for others and another for those inflicting or making demands, and this is what makes people very angry. One can see this in New York, where COVID spread rapidly and caused serious problems in these same communities in the US, but many refused to heed requests asked for of the entire public, saying that it was ‘persecution’, when the reality was that it was the actions of said communities that significantly worsened the spread of the virus and its effects, and with no introspection as to the concept that others may have been hurt, but only for what applies to themselves and their particular desires.
It should therefore be a trend to watch that alongside more brazen actions, that a backlash would form against the same people, not just in Israel, but globally, since eventually, even the most patient of men will lose patience given continued mistreatment with no resolution.
